Was very unhappy with the service and the disregard for customers attention. I ordered one smoothie and was told there was a single order ahead of me. What these awful people didn't tell me was that single order was for an office of 12 people. I got a look at the order slip when I peered over the counter. Wondering what was wrong. That's not a single order ahead of you. That is a lot of orders ahead of you. 12 orders! If they had been honest I would have walked out the door and if I hadn't already paid same goes. First, learn to count how many orders are on a single order slip. 12 smoothies plus 12 meals. That does not equal one order. I haven't been back since and that was probably 2 months ago. I placed an order on Grub Hub to pick up a smoothie from this location. When I arrived, a girl with blond hair and pregnant was behind the counter preparing my order. Another gentleman behind the counter asked her about my order. The girl went on a tangent about my order, stating, "I'm not wasting my time making one fucking smoothie for this bitch", she referred to me as a bitch several more times. She then turned and I let her know the order was mine. She finished putting my smoothie together and didn't say much else. I called the store shortly after leaving and asked to speak with a manager. I believe the same girl answered the phone. She stated that her name was Alexis, I believe, and that she was the manager. I explained to her the situation. There was no apology for the experience, she asked me no questions about the situation. Her only response was, "I'll address the issue." I've had issues with this location before, I had previously sent in a pick up order that was cancelled without any contact, however the person working at that time was very kind and apologetic about the situation. Literally loathe everyone that works at this location on a personal level. It must take EFFORT to do your jobs this badly. Every single time I have ordered food (from 3 miles away) the delivery takes at least 1.5 hours. Twice now I have needed to cancel orders due to the amount of time the order was taking, and they just did not answer the phone so I was unable to do so. I ended up having to work with GrubHub to get my money back ($100 order.) This immature girl answered the phone like a child telling me her "Big Boss" was gone for the day so she couldn't help me. Cool, if you're not capable of working alone then why are you? Unanimously the people I know that have gone to this location just do not order food from Tropical Smoothie if this is the only location that will deliver, etc. They just choose not to purchase anything instead, that's how bad the entire customer service experience is here. I hope this place is able to make it because the food and smoothies we had were pretty good! Nestled in a quaint shopping mall is this place and unfortunately you have to get there before 8pm or you're not going to make it in time. We had two sandwiches, one a chicken apple flatbread that was more filling than I expected. It had juicy white meat chicken, fresh apples, bacon, kale, and a honey mustard dressing. The flatbread was warm and toasted and made my taste buds sing! Our other sandwich was the chipotle chicken flatbread that had just a little kick to it, but like the other one, it had a warm, toasted fluffy flatbread that was delish! I got a kids strawberry banana smoothie that was pretty good, but while it was flavorful with fruit, I would have liked a little more smoothie-ness with some milk or yogurt. My fiance got the peanut butter cup smoothie and while watching them make it, it appeared super thick and I cringed a little when she added some water to it to thin it down. Smoothies - excellent Food - eh, okay Staff - chickens with their heads cut off I have been to this location upwards of 10 times and I kid you not every time, it's the same exact service. They try, they really do, but they must have a lot of turn over because no one ever knows what's going on. One visit the woman at the register just started ignoring people and not taking orders because they could not keep up. Not saying sorry please hold while we get situated, literally just ignoring. Today I placed an online order because I had the flu and could barely get out of bed, showed up 5 min late to pick it up and still had to wait almost 15 minutes. There were only 4 customers in the store!! Sorry to everyone that was forced to breathe in germs because TS can't prepare orders in time. If you see that you need more time... change your ordering system to provide a minimum of 30 min for pick up orders, not 10. read more

I love tropical smoothie cafe, but for some reason, this location is very inconsistent with the smoothie recipes. It makes me want to drive 10 min to another location when this one is walking distance from my apartment. I get the same exact smoothie several times a week and it always tastes different. Very hit or miss. Yesterday mine was so icey It hardly tasted like a smoothie. Today it was a completely different color and also has a very mild taste. One time I came in and watched a new employee make it (she was reading the recipe card and following closely to the measurements) and it was the best smoothie I've ever had! I have to say I had a pretty good experience. I want in about 4:30 on a Friday. It was full of young people. They quickly took my order I was in and then out within 5/10 minutes. I went here last week and had very fast service and very nice and friendly employees! Alexis was my cashier and she was happy, friendly, and also knowledgeable about gluten free/dairy free ingredients in each smoothie! I was surprised that she made my 2 smoothies so quickly, and they were both very good! I meant to write this last Wednesday after I went there, but was too busy. Thank you, Alexis! I went in today around 5:30 and was extremely disappointed when I left. There were probably 6-8 people working.. who were clearly getting paid to socialize and hang out with one another (which is fine when business is slow..), but myself and a woman with two small children entered the store and all but two had continued to socialize... Except it was beyond obnoxious, loud, and inappropriate. The woman and her children decided to wait outside (it is 85* out today) while their drinks were being made, since it was so obnoxious. This place is awesome! I have now been here twice. Each time was soo delicious! I had the Totally Green smoothie which was exactly what I needed after being dehydrated after a long football Saturday. We have had conflicting experiences at this location. We have been there 3 times. 1 of the times it was a completely positive experience. Nice people working and the food was good. The two other times we had issues getting food. Once they stated they had no more chicken left but after seeing my son's disappointment they said never mind and they could make it happen (this time it was not even close to closing time). Tonight we walk in at 7:31 (they close at 8:00pm) and first order smoothies and the young woman working helped us navigate that well (suggestions/etc). When we progressed to order food another young woman came from the back and let us know that they had already cleaned the grill and the kitchen was shut down. I stated that I thought they closed at 8 and she let me know that they cleaned the ovens tonight. My suggestion would be to close the restaurant when you actually close the restaurant. read more

For a place with "Smoothie" in the name, you'd think they'd be amazing and flavorful. I got a strawberry banana smoothie and all I can taste is the pound of ice they put in the smoothie. It's so watered down and has just a hint of strawberry flavor. So much of the smoothie was leftover in the blender, that the smoothie I drank didn't even have all of the strawberries and bananas that are supposed to be mixed in. I cannot have possibly been more let down. I got their flyer in the mail and it all looked so yummy. I went in and there was nobody in the place except a young girl waiting for a job interview and one woman ahead of me. Behind the counter the girls were working frantically on all the blenders making as many smoothies as they could. When I ordered my smoothie I was told it would be a minute because they had just received a big order. No big deal for me I just added a sandwich to my order so I'd have something for lunch. After a moment or 2 my drink was put up on the order counter. Terrific, my sandwich should be coming up shortly behind. 20 minutes later I was now madder than h*** and went around to where the manager was and said what is going on. He informing that they can only see 7-8 tickets on the board at the time, I looked and there were actually 8 tickets on the board and mine STILL wasn't up. I told him that if you can't get to an order you tell the customer... he pointed out again that they can't always see it. I stopped looked him in the eye and very slowly said if you cannot get to a customer's order right away then you need to tell them it will be a few minutes so that they have a choice as to whether or not they're going to sit around and wait. Is it turns out mine was ticket number 9 the next 1 to come up by this point I was so angry I was shaking. I was ignored by every girl in that place and you know what? Their great big super size order with all over the food and sandwiches and drinks, after all that time in the 20 minutes that I stood around, nobody ever showed up to pick the dam thing up. They should have left 1 or 2 girls free to help the rest of the customers who were piling up behind me also waiting for their orders instead they put every single person to work on 1 single order. I don't care how big it is, you leave somebody free to take care of your other customers otherwise it looks like you don't give a dam about anyone except the big ones. read more
