    Almendras Y Pina; bruleed pineapple,goat cheese,Marcona almond,grilled crostini's.

Having date night before a show at Hill Auditorium. Aventura is in our rotating circle of favorite venues in Ann Arbor. This is a great venue with a cozy, upscale and lively atmosphere. Charlie our server greeted us, was pleasant and very attentive. We started with the Almendras Y Pina, bruleed pineapple, goat cheese, marconi almond a grilled crostini's. OMG, the sweetness of the pineapple with the caramelization had amazing flavor. We then moved onto the Croquetas; Serrano ham with béchamel, hazelnut romesco. These tasty little morsels had a nice crunchy coating, flavorful, creamy and fluffy filling. Lastly, we chose the Gambas; prawns, garlic, arbol chili served with baguettes. The prawns were good, but not our favorite of the three dishes. Overall would definitely recommend checking out Aventura if you're in Ann Arbor. Great food, craft cocktails and experience.

What a fun time in A2 checking out a new spot. My friend suggested meeting up at Aventura for Happy Hour. It's a quaint chic restaurant serving up Spanish fare. The Happy Hour menu was quite extensive with tapas style items to try and beverages are discounted from 3-6pm. We enjoyed sharing many things off the menu. The food was very tasty and the sauces blended perfectly with each dish. I really enjoyed my cocktails, too! This is most certainly a fun spot to try!

The tapas are the star here, and the paella is decent. It is a bit expensive for what it is worth though. We found the service to be pretty good, and it is a nice spot for a date night. Get the patatas bravas with egg and the croquettes (truffle one is best). We did unfortunately have to wait a really long time past our reservation time for a seat, so keep that in mind if you have plans after.

Haven't been here in years and it is just as I remember! Food is always good and service is quick. The croquettes were perfectly salty and creamy inside! The steak skewers were great and super tender. Not pictured are the most fabulous churros with caramel and chocolate-- I could eat these every day! The restaurant was quiet since we went on a weekday but I'm sure it is busy on weekends. Ann Arbor must go!

Stellar visit to Aventura every time I'm in town! Wonderful happy hour deals at the bar. Great, friendly service!

We went to Aventura on a Sunday evening in summer and they were able to seat us - I was pleased by this! Even though it was busy, we were still able to get a nice seat in the main dining area. We might have ordered the paella because that's what they are most known for ... but this requires an advanced order of at least 40 mins (on a less busy night). My friend and I were on a slight time limit, so we decided to skip the paella and order some tapas instead. Of course we order the batatas bravas (a must have and classic) and then we chose two other tapas at random; We also ordered the PULPO EN SU TINTA (baby octopus on top of squid ink (very interesting, not our favorite but interesting presentation) and the Gambás (grilled and seasoned shrimp (we loved this). The service was great, but we were expecting all three tapas to arrive at the same time. Instead we received each tapa plate at a different time - seemed like 20 mins between each plate... by the time the last plate arrived at our table, the food was already cold. The restaurant is beautiful; there are dimmed lights throughout the restaurant, giving it a cool and intimate vibe - very good place for a romantic date or fancy night out with friends or solo. One thing I wasn't a fan of and that I noticed when we got up from the table to find the bathroom is that the tables/chairs are positioned pretty close to each other in some areas and this makes it hard to move and flow around the restaurant. Overall, nice restaurant and wished I got to try one of the paellas!

Aventura is hands down my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor, and I mean that wholeheartedly. Whenever I have a visitor in town, this is the first place I bring them. Special occasion? Aventura. Just want a beautiful dinner out? Aventura. I have lost count of how many times I've been here since I moved to Michigan 10 months ago.. and it never disappoints. The wine selection is excellent, I highly recommend the Tempranillo; the sangria is absolutely amazing, perfectly balanced and not too sweet. I recently tried their sangria named "Lila," which has lavender, and it was unlike anything I've had before, truly special. Now, the food, where do I even begin. The paellas are outstanding. My all-time favorite is the Valenciana, but I recently tried the American paella and it is a fantastic option for anyone with shellfish allergies, so delicious and satisfying. For tapas, my top three are the almendras y piña, the pinchos morunos, and the patatas bravas!! order all three, you won't regret it. And the octopus? Incredible. I would come back for that alone. On top of all the amazing food and drinks, the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is just as wonderful. I'm already planning my next visit for happy hour with my coworkers. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would not even hesitate!! Aventura is just that good!

Had a nice dinner at Aventura a couple weeks ago. We came in on a Wednesday evening with no reservations- luckily we were able to get a table without waiting. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the look of the bar. Our server was great and explained the menu making some recommendations. We decided on the Brussels, papas, mushroom balls, dates, and the chicken paella. We also ordered wine and beer. The tapas were all delicious but we especially enjoyed the dates and potatoes with egg on top. I think next time we would skip the paella and just stick with more tapas. Only other negative was it was a bit loud- tables were close and sound traveled through the space. Would visit again!

We loved this wine. Perfect red that didn't give me a headache.

I always love coming here for dinner. We tried some new things on the menu so I thought I would update my reviews. New and notable...I'd love to have again: FLOR DE ALCACHOFA artichoke, salt cured egg yolk, lemon, anchovy aioli $13 POLLO A LA PARRILLA seared crispy chicken, red wine sauce, salsa verde, baby carrots Half...$32 I'm also noting that I liked the Boston Madeira today better than the New York. We usually get the churros and given that they are so rich, I think the zing in the Boston would have been a nice complement to the churros. The New York put the churros into the "too much sweets" category. I also loved the pictured wine with our meal. We often struggle because I often get a headache with red wine, and this one was delicious and didn't give me a headache. A perfect selection for a Pinot noir lover. Wahoo!! As always, the service was outstanding and the meal was perfectly paced. Thanks again for a marvelous experience!

Reservations: I would recommend getting reservations since this is a main street restaurant. Ambiance: very spacious and the vibe is cozy and the interior design is spot on. Service: The service is always nice and I enjoy eating here. Food $$: This is a more tapas style so I would get the seafood paella and then get some tapas to compliment the main entree. Audience: Solo Trip [ ] Family Friendly [X] Friends [X] Date Spot [X] Recommendations/tips: Overall, they have restaurant week deals but if you know what you like it might be a better choice!

Highly recommend getting a reservation for this restaurant especially if you are going at prime time on a weekend. The food was delicious and our favorite was the setas which were mushrooms over a yogurt sauce. The churros which I didnt get a picture of were also so fluffy, warm, and delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant as the service is always top notch and food is delicious! It is tapas style so the bill can add up.

Went for happy hour! The vibes are cute and the service was great. The charcuterie board was good for the price. Got one of the gin cocktails which was also very light and refreshing. Would go back with a larger group to try the dinner menu

My…read morefriends and I arrived 10 min before they opened for brunch and there was no wait, though the restaurant filled up quickly behind us. The space is rustic and simple, with fresh cut flowers on the tables. A majority of the walls were occupied by floor to ceiling racks of wine, as that is their award-winning product. Their brunch menu changes weekly and is extremely tight and cohesive. My party ordered the entire food menu sans olives (2/3rds of us don't like them), and two plates of the potato pelmeni. My thoughts below: Amaro Apertivo: mocktail based on the namesake dessert wine. This tasted like candy but not too sweet, and we enjoyed it a lot. Lovage soda: Google told me that lovage is an herb that tastes like citrus and celery. I am a huge fan of drinks with a twist, and I'd say that celery is a pretty big one! Crisp and not too sweet, the citrus flavor definitely balanced the Celery, and both flavors kept the soda fresh and crisp. This was great paired with the rest of the herbaceous menu and balanced out the richness of some later dishes, though it's not necessarily something I would enjoy by itself without appropriate accompaniment. Pickled egg, fried shallot, dill: I had only heard of pickled eggs in the context of strange British food on YouTube, so I was a little hesitant about this dish. The concept of an egg floating in vinegar brine is a bit off-putting, but once I powered through that mental roadblock, I found myself enjoying this bite. The egg is perfectly cooked with a slightly jammy yolk, and the shallots added a much needed crunch. Dill enhanced the pickled taste while cutting through the richness of the fried shallots and yolk. Sourdough focaccia, whipped butter: Never in my life have I ever made focaccia this tall. This focaccia was raised by a loving family and nurtured to develop a golden, non-greasy, crisp crust protecting its tender, pillowy innards. The classic sourdough tang is a novel addition to each bite, and cuts through the creamy, whipped butter to keep me wanting more. I could eat a whole pan of this alone, but we had many more plates to sample. Saucisson sec salami, pickled carrot: This is a simple, charming, carb-free mini charcuterie; place a slice of salami, some of the mozzarella (next dish on this list, below), and its oil atop a pickled carrot base, and you are in for a perfectly balanced treat. My favorite part of this dish is the fact that the salami was incredibly savory, and not too salty. The more you chew it, the more the flavors express themselves, so be sure to chew slowly and thoroughly! The crunch of the crisp, dill-pickled carrot and the soft chewiness of the mozzarella give each bite a lot of good contrast. Mozzarella, green garlic oil: Fresh, hand-stretched mozzarella is something that even I, a notorious cheese-hater, can't say no to. It is not sharp or funky at all, nor is it too salty. Most of the flavor comes from the green garlic and olive oil smothering each bite. Fresh and floral with a little bite, this was delicious with the salami and carrot above. Potato pelmeni, asparagus green adjika, sour cream: Given the portion size of the previous dishes (small, tapas vibes), we were not expecting the platter full of double carb heaven that met our eyes. And we ordered two!!! This is a gorgeous dish with plump, quarter-sized pelmeni nestled in a vibrant green asparagus and herb sauce with a dollop of sour cream on top. This was a classic comfort dish with a verdant twist! The pelmeni were stuffed full of creamy potato, and the dough was cooked perfectly al dente for a satisfying, pillowy bite. The sauce was homey but packed with zippy flavor and tender asparagus. The major feedback I have for this dish is that it was way too salty, to the point where the flavor was a tad too sharp because of it. Lettuces, radish, pumpkin seed, caraway vinaigrette: It was through this dish that I found out what caraway tastes like and through this dish that I figured out that I'm not a caraway fan. The lettuces were bitter and when combined with the slightly medicinal caraway taste, wasn't for me. The crunch of the radish and the nutty pumpkin seeds were great in this dish though! Fennel cornmeal biscotti, rhubarb compote, cream: This was a single biscotti with generous dollops of compote and cream. We were quite full when this dish was set in front of us, so I was frankly relieved for the small portion size. The fennel in the biscotti paired wonderfully with the tart rhubarb, and the rich cream rounded things out nicely without tipping into cloying territory. The savory cornmeal complimented the fennel and provided additional depth of flavor. A great small bite to end on! Overall, Spencer's strong fundamentals allow them to take risks with in-season local produce. Some things worked for me and some didn't, but I would love to come back to see what they can create next!

My first visit was for brunch, and it completely won me over. I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.

Chocolate Mochi Cake ($7) - not great. Reminds me more of a brownie than mochi. Surprisingly salty. Whipped cream has miso caramel.

My fiend got reservations for us at this wonderful restaurant. When I arrived I was pleasantly…read moregreeted by the hostess and offered to take my coat. I really lived her ambiance here as it was dimly lit, but great modern accents. The server was extremely nice and had a wonderful knowledge of the menu. I started with a seasonal cocktail where they had homemade syrups and it was delicious. We ordered the steamed mushroom dumplings along with salted whitefish fritters. Both starters got us ready for our amazing dinner we were about to embark on. My friend ordered h tu r salmon and I ordered the duck breast. It was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful flavor. Such a cute restaurant in the heart of Ann Arbor

My friends and I chose this as a great fine dining option and this place has two sides, appetizers…read moreand entrees, and let me explain. The appetizers were very weird and kind of strange. Lets talk individually Beef Tartare: It didn't taste like TarTare, I expect a more raw earthy taste and I felt like I was eating smashed spaghetti sauce Mushroom Dumplings: The dumplings were SUPER DOUGHY and the innards were not very filled Ceviche: This was the standout, it was flavored well and had solid presentation Mussels: A bit too buttery and watery for me, I like it a bit more bold and with character Now for the Entrees: Broccolini: out of the park gorgeous, the lemon vinagarette had the zest that I look for and the broccolini had the crunchy and chewy texture I expect Salmon: 100/10: hands down BEST salmon I've EVER eaten at a restaurant. It had a crunchy exterior with a juicy inside, presented beautifully on top of a jerusalem artichoke sauce that was creamy and vibrant. The entrees were fantastic and would love to eat here again
