We were I. The area and decided to stop by. The staff is very polite. We are vegetarian and picky. The fries and falafel are not fried with meat products. We got 3 falafel bowls, 3 falafel sandwiches, and fries. All were delicious. The bowl was huge and wished I split with someone. They gave 7 falafel balls in a bowl; pretty generous. Great topping options. All of us were happy with our food. Taste was great and fresh. Seating is limited and very casual. You have to pay for bottle of water; no water dispenser. Very pleasantly surprised. I had an itch for middle eastern food, and my knee-jerk reaction is always Palm Palace. Just because it's consistent, not always too busy, and it's good. I saw the gentleman who took our order wash his hands prior to touching any food for the people prior to us. Which is always refreshing. I told my girlfriend to pick a place out, so we can try somewhere new, and she said she had driven by here several times and wanted to give it a shot. We went, without doing much homework on the stop. It definitely wasn't a very welcoming sit and dine type of place, but you could eat there if you chose to. We got ours to go. She got a chicken bowl with half rice & lettuce, a side of hummus and corn. I got a chicken bowl with half rice & lettuce, with garlic sauce, hummus, pickled cabbage, banana peppers, feta, pickles, and the chipotle sauce. For the price, there was a good amount of food, she made hers into two meals. Aside from that, it was also very tasty. There used to be a competitor near target, and i loved their food - since they went out of business and transitioned to another restaurant, it isn't as good. Wow! What an unexpectedly great find this is! I visited Lazeez on a recommendation and I'm so glad I did! I'll start by saying that this place is what you would describe as a "hole in the wall." This is not to discredit the fantastic food they are offering, but let's just say that this place is giving more take-out-vibes than anything else. Nevertheless, the space is clean, there are a couple tables and the staff was very helpful. But you're coming here for the food. And trust me, it's worth it! Broadly speaking, there are two main categories that you can choose from: wraps or bowls. I think that the bowls are the better bet, as they are HUGE and you can get much more food for your money. However, the bread for the wraps come out nice and warm, so I can't knock that either! You have your pick of your typical fillings - falafel, chicken, steak. I ended up getting falafel bowl. You get to choose any of the additional toppings you want to add. I got literally all of them! They all looked great! I would definitely recommend getting the baba ghanoush, cauliflower, and tahini dressing. Those really complimented the falafel the best! If you are into heat, I would also suggest adding the chili spread. It was quite spicy! My bowl was fantastic! The falafel is very, very good. And I had so much food in my bowl that I was able to enjoy a second meal of leftovers! I will most definitely be returning to Lazeez and can't wait to try out some more of their delicious food! read more

I have been going to Lazeez Eats for several years now. This is one of my favorite stops for Mediterranean food in Ypsilanti. Everything is delicious & all the team members who work there are very helpful and polite. I usually order a falafel or chicken bowl. Then you get to add the toppings of your choice over rice or lettuce. I like that all toppings are very fresh and under a glass covering so it's very sanitary. The employees add everything to your order as you indicate what you would like to have in your bowl. All the proteins such as chicken, steak and falafel are prepared as you order them. So it takes a little longer than most places but it's definitely well worth the wait!! Their shawarma sandwiches, hummus and pita bread are also homemade and delicious as well. I would highly recommend this place. Even my little grandson loves their chicken, hummus and pita bread. read more

Wow- this was incredible!!! I got a falafel sandwich and this was genuinely some of the best falafel I've ever had. So flavorful and so filled with toppings! The onions were amazing and I got corn on mine too- such a great flavor to combine with everything else. The hummus was really creamy and smooth and their garlic sauce was amazing. Be careful, these sandwiches are FILLING! I highly misjudged how full I would get from my sandwich. That's just a nod to how full they pack these with toppings! I can't wait to come back and try more and more. I can already tell this is going to be a new regular spot for me. They also have great desserts! read more

The meat here was extremely fresh. I was able to build my bowl and wait for my protein to be cooked. I have no problem waiting a bit for made to order food. The toum was bold in flavor and I didn't really need any extra sauces on my bowl. Very delicious. Will certainly return here. Portion sizes are huge as evidenced by my photos. read more

I used to love the bowls... I ordered one chicken and one falafel bowl-- and they reversed the order-- which truly pissed me off-- read the order-- how difficult is this! So I went back up there to get my order that they messed up-- the bowls used to be so nicely put together and now they are slopped together and it's messy and wet and gross. This is hands down the best so far. The falafels are great but it's the combination of the toppings that makes the sandwiches so good. I took humus, a little bit of toum and spicy red sauce along with an assortment of veggies fresh and pickled. The pickled carrots and olive -- a must try. Ambience was nice, except the occasional smell of cigarette smoke (could have been the customers and not the place itself) but the food overcomes everything. Please give it a try. Lazeez has become my go to restaurant because of their customizable salad bowls, and generous portion sizes. I think they have the best tasting falafel in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area too. Sometimes it does take a little while to get your order, but that's because they prepare the protein portion fresh for every order. read more
