I went to Poke Fish in Ann Arbor for a quick lunch on the go. The menu is huge, but the hibachi and poke bowls clearly feel like the stars of the show. I went with the Rainbow Bowl and wow...this thing was absolutely phenomenal. Also one of the most visually impressive poke bowls I've had in a long time. The plating absolutely lives up to the "rainbow" name. Marinated tuna, yellowtail, salmon, cucumber, avocado, crab salad, masago, tempura crunch, and poke sauce all layered together into pure chaos in the best possible way. And somehow...the fish tasted fresher than the fish I get back home in Florida. Which honestly feels strange considering we're literally surrounded by water. Everything tasted incredibly clean and fresh, the textures were spot on, and the service was shockingly fast. I can't speak on the rest of the menu yet, but the Rainbow Bowl alone is worth the trip. read more

There's a special place in my heart for poke places that don't charge extra for seaweed and crab salad. This is an amazing poke spot! I got a BYO Bowl and it was delicious. The service was quick, there's plenty of seating inside, the portion was big, the price was fair, and parking is easy. Would highly recommend this spot. read more

I love this restaurant so much! The food always tastes so fresh and the portions are huge! I ordered pick up and my order was ready when I walked in. I've tried the steak bowl from here as well and everything is just delicious. It's a small restaurant but still always clean and usually a spot to sit if you want to eat in. I got takeout from here today. I have reviews I need to catch up on but I had to review this first. Fresh, delicious and perfect for a fatty mc fatterson like me. Unlike some other popular chain poke places this place lets you load up a bowl with little to no extra charges. Omg happiness. Good lord all the veggies and sauces and junked up fun you can take! Now this is worth paying for door dash to bring you a sneaky office treat. I loved every bite of my pick your own combo bowl. It was a hearty and super indulgent treat during one of those crazy weeks. A mid day ahhhhh for the soul. Every bite was a different bit of happiness and made me smile. Worth every penny. This is my favorite spot to go for poke. All the sushi is super fresh and the workers don't skimp on the portions, even when you order to go! There are endless toppings and you can choose as many as you want. You can also order hot meals other than poke. The wall decorations are full of art that make the space lively. The food is very tasty and with a good price and good customer service. Very clean and good lunch vibe

Loved this place! Very nice staff. I can tell they work hard, cleaning tables as I was eating my bowl. I had just got back from San Diego and I was craving poke and raw tuna. I know michigan won't come close to the coast but this place did the job I was very impressed with the quality of my tuna, next time I will get extra for 2 dollars. Great price too and huge portions. Keep up the good work. I will be back! Too bad I live in Detroit but when in Ann Arbor I'll stop by. read more

Poke Fish - Spicy and regular tuna bowl so good - Poke Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

I came here today for lunch and got a 3 protein poke bowl with a rice base for $15. I got the marinated salmon, spicy tuna, and scallops. Proteins were fresh and excellent and I loved that there was no limit to the choices of toppings offered, which was also expansive and varied. In particular, I liked that they offered pineapple, tamago, and daikon, which are toppings that I don't always see at poke spots. The rice was also cooked well which is something that often slips through the cracks at poke places since it's not a focus. My only real gripe is that the ordering system doesn't allow for half and half bases (eg half rice half salad) but that's a very small issue. They also sell hibachi bowls and some apps/sides as well as mochi. Overall would definitely come back for my poke fix! read more

Poke Fish in Ann Arbor is the best poke restaurant in Southeastern Michigan, no contest. This place is packed every day for lunch and takeout orders so the fish is fresher than any other poke place I've been to in the region. I personalize my bowl, typically with ahi tuna, spicy tuna, or salmon with veggies and no sauce. The price is reasonable too at under $13 for most bowls. read more

Really good poke bowls! They have options for set bowls and you can also make/customize your own. I always prefer to make my own so I can put exactly what I want in it. Their set bowls are really good too though! Good quality fish, and lots of options for mix ins and toppings. I will say though, I think they are reducing the amount of fish and other toppings they include over time. Overall very filling! I also like their apps and hibachi chicken for leftovers sometimes! read more

Still a super solid place for a build-a-bowl with good protein and fresh ingredients. My picky Little loves sushi but only salmon and very few veggies. She get double salmon protein, on rice with spring mix and cucumbers. No sauce. This is a lunch I can get behind for a growing Little. Easy to find, super fast. Not bad prices. I love the Tako balls, crab salad and all the bowl options. Very easy online ordering and takeout. read more

We LOVED this place. We got takeout from them regularly and were so excited to find it. Tonight we ordered a dish that we've gotten quite a few time before, a favorite of my partner's and he knows very well what it should taste like. He took one bite into it and made a face- the fish tasted bitter and "off". Obviously with raw fish, that's not a thing you want to gamble on when it's not tasting right. We tossed it immediately and called to ask for a refund for the affected dish and the staff straight up scolded me, insisting everything was fresh (I'm not saying it wasn't? Sometimes weird stuff happens with fish) and that they'd remake it if we brought it back, but we were already at home 25 minutes away and not about to dig it out of the trash and drive all the way back. They kept saying "if you don't like it"... my dude, it's not about not liking it. He LOVES this dish normally. He was yelling stuff like "If you owned a restaurant and a customer didn't like a dish what would YOU do?" Uh... comp the meal? Even if they just "didn't like it" (because that's part of good service) but *especially* if there was a danger that something was spoiled. The fact that they're unconcerned and unwilling to consider that something might be off - even in a fish that was "cut fresh this morning" - is a huge red flag. Sadly we won't be back and we'll have to find a new poke joint. They ultimately refused to refund us so I'll have to talk to my CC company on monday. (Also fun fact, the dish in question is $9 more expensive on doordash than in store for some reason. Which is the whole reason we bothered schlepping in to get it in person.) read more

I like coming to Poke Fish for their ramen. It's the one place in Ann Arbor where you can get ramen at a good price. They have had to raise their prices after Covid, but they are much more reasonable than other local spots. To he honest, I'm not the biggest fan of poke, so I have stuck with the ramen and gyoza, which are delicious. When covid hit, they pivoted to take out. They still do a lot of take out business, so they installed kiosks to order if you come inside. The only downside is that they act nonplussed if you need to talk to them. I asked for a take out container, and they seemed quite annoyed. read more

Ordered a poke bowl for delivery a few weeks ago and it was delish! Brown rice, mango, edamame, seaweed, cucumber, green onions, a generous amount of crispy tempura bits and sesame seeds, and a whole lot of sumptuous, fresh salmon. And I had them douse it with spicy mayo. Perfection! The salmon was so buttery and melt in your mouth. Some of the best sushi grade salmon I've had in the area, for sure. Delivery was quick and easy. I live on the west side of town so it's a bit of a route to my house and it arrived in great condition. read more

A little bit outside of the main downtown area of Ann Arbor and a couple miles from the University of Michigan, Poke Fish serves quality top tier poke bowls for a very reasonable price. Ordering here is a breeze and very customizable with the 2 automated tablets in the shop. The fish is fresh, the toppings are plentiful and varied, and the portions are excellent for what you pay for. Not to mention, the service is great. Before we could ask, they immediately greeted us and asked if we wanted water cups. Everyone there was all super friendly. The ambience is decent, and since it's tucked away in a shopping mall, it is on the quieter side. Overall, the best poke bowls you can get in the area. read more

I built my own bowl, salad, tofu, cucumber, tomatoes, which didn't make it in, mango, which I didn't ask for, edamame, kale, cilantro sriracha chili, omelette, crab salad, avocado never made it in, no sesame salad but green onions or mushrooms. My husband got the salmon lover bowl with brown rice, he prefers set meals and bowls over making his own. Probably shouldn't do build your own if you cannot manage to get the wants into the bowl, right? The bowls here are not big, maybe the size of a soup bowl. The build your own was okay, not special and nothing impressive at all. The salmon bowl was just as lack luster. The staff is at the sushi bar and you have to shout your order to them to hear as they load up your bowl. It feels like I am an Asian fish market and it's a total mess and frenzy here. Food was average for the price and not so filling. I gave my husband half of my bowl and for more food elsewhere. read more

SOOO GOOD! We built our own poke bowl and also got chicken hibachi. Everything was so delicious and fresh. Although you're not being served like you would be at any regular restaurant (it's more of a take out place, but definitely can still dine in), the staff is still so attentive! They greeted us right when we walked in and directed us to a computer to order our food then they brought it to us! They saw us boxing up our food and asked if we needed a bag. They are so so nice and I was very impressed by their attentiveness to the few guests dining in while also juggling TONS of to go orders as well as preparing our food. Also so surprised by how affordable it was for being in Ann Arbor and for the quantity and quality you're getting!! read more

This is one of my very favorite places in Ann Arbor. I get takeout here at least once a week. Throughout Covid (and into 2022) the staff continues to mask, which I truly appreciate. They are super efficient in their service...so much so that I can place my order the minute right before I walk out the door, and they have it prepared for pickup by the time I arrive 10 minutes later. I have NEVER had to wait on my order to be prepared. I always get the choose-your-own bowl, and I love the options I have in add-ons and sauces. I love the wasabi aioli and spicy mayo on mine! Basically a Bowl or a burrito with bunch of different stuffings. Amazing vegetarian options. Basically everything on their menu can be made with tofu and or veggies. Secret menu item ( off the menu) : for vegetarians 1. Tofu Hibachi. Amazing - served with crispy fried juicy tofu over broccoli and rice(up-charge fried rice). I loved this. 2. Tofu and veggie ramen with miso ( vegetarian variant ).. why is this not in the menu??? This was super as well. We got to add what ever we wanted from the bar. 3. Veggie poke bowl.. good but it's more uncooked stuff.. but ingredients were fresh, it tasted good but not as good as the others. The staff was helpful. The location is clean. They charge extra for sauces, which I was not super impressed.. Plenty of free parking upfront (it's in a strip mall) I will return when I am In the area.. read more

I've tried a few poke places (or places that serve poke bowls) in Ann Arbor now, and I can confidently say that Poke Fish is the best! I love that they don't limit your toppings, and they don't charge extra for seaweed salad or crab salad - all problems I've had at other poke restaurants. They do charge extra for avocado but always give a HUGE portion so it's worth the extra cost! They also have great customer service, and I always get a friendly greeting when I enter. It's usually fairly busy there, especially on weekend evenings, so I always order ahead. I've only had a long wait once on a particularly busy night; every other time I place my order online and it's ready when I arrive! Tip for my fellow Yelpers who can't handle spicy stuff - their house Poke sauce is a little spicy, so I recommend getting Eel sauce and/or soy sauce instead. read more

Poke Fish - Create your own bowl! Pretty small serving of masago :( But otherwise delicious!! - Poke Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

I got half brown and spring mix base which is a lovely and light combo with salmon, mango, edamame, crab, green onions, and cilantro and a crunchy topping. For sauce I got the Poke Special. The service was quick and easy. I was able to say if I wanted more or less of something without charge. I recommend asking for extra sauce. I found some of the toppings and mix-ins pretty unusual for a poke bowl, but it's nice you can make your own or just get a popular bowl on the menu. Overall, good poke bowl for $15 and I highly recommend this place is you're looking for good and fresh salmon. read more
