Place isn't the same like it use too! The sushi was ok, and believe there's better options in the area now. Use to be my go to spot in canton but not anymore. Also, they definitely raised the prices and did some cuts. No more salad or soup with their lunch combos. Staff is still friendly but quality and flavor of sushi is subpar compared to other sushi restaurants.
After our favorite sushi place went under new management and everything changed we were on the look out for a new sushi place. We've often driven by and overlooked the location but I'm SO GLAD we finally took a chance and went inside. It's a bit dark, small and intimate but the service is great and love the sushi. The seaweed salad is delicious! The eel is my favorite here and the fill dragon roll is the best!! Really nice salmon and yellowtail. The TYS roll is creative, wish the spicy tuna roll was more spicy. We've been back a few times now and I think this is the official Go-To sushi house!
Best roll in canton! Super friendly people! Can't wait to to back and try other roles. I did pickup but they do have a quaint dining area that would be perfect for a lunch meet up with a friend or partner

Been coming here for years. Wife loves the Bibimbap here. For me, today was the combo Korean Entrees of Soon tofu soup and Kalbi. The Soon Tofu cone with a side of white rice that I add in. It helps to diffuse the heat for me. This is a spicy dish but one that after you are done eating, you feel good. Not bloated or heavy. Flavor is great and I love the egg that gets cooked in the hot pot. The Kalbi is awesome here and consistently good. Our waitress was a bit overwhelmed at times but managed us just fine between the carry out and dinner rush. This is a small restaurant so you might experience a wait if arrive at peak times.
Went here for a quick lunch. Service was fast, food came out pretty fast and fresh of course. There was a mix up with my soup so I didn't get that on time. I got the yum yum roll and miso soup. The yum yum was very delicious and had everything that I liked on a sushi roll. To be honest, I did not like the way the restaurant was set up. The tables are very close together and a couple ended up sitting on the side from me and boxed me in. The next time I go here, I will pick a different spot or just get my food to go.

I had the best sushi date night. The restaurant is sooo cozy and aesthetic. The lighting and decorations gave us such a cute, romantic vibe and honestly reminded us of when we first started dating. The nigiri was SO fresh and delicious. We ordered 12 pieces and the fish-to-rice ratio was perfect! We also tried the I Love Shrimp and Dynamite rolls with some cold sake, and everything was amazing. The miso soup and salad were also a must to start! And the chicken teriyaki was really delicious too. Their service was wonderful and everyone was so kind. I'm honestly surprised I just discovered this place! We are so happy to have such a great sushi spot nearby. I will definitely recommend Kabuki sushi if you're looking for fresh sushi, a cozy aesthetic atmosphere, and a cute date night in Canton. We are coming back soon read more
After a long workday, I was in the mood for sushi. And I wanted to try a new restaurant instead of relying on my tried-and-true places. After a quick search, I was on my way to Kabuki. It is located on Ford Rd, with IKEA, Carvel, and Buffalo Wild Wings serving as landmarks. The restaurant is dark, which always makes me a bit uneasy. Some chefs/owners may claim that it sets a mood, but I feel that it hides dirt and makes it challenging to discern ingredients. I quickly reviewed the menu and then carefully read all the ingredients to ensure that nothing I ordered contained salmon (an unfortunate allergy) and cream cheese. The latter because, after many, many attempts, I just don't like that ingredient in sushi rolls. I ordered the Tiger and Sunflower rolls. The Tiger roll starts with shrimp tempura wrapped with cucumber strips, crab stick, and eel, topped with more shrimp, avocado, and eel sauce. I also ordered the Sunflower roll and requested that the salmon be removed. It contained a mosaic of fish: white fish, tuna, yellowtail, escolar, (cooked) shrimp, crab stick, as well as avocado, and tamago. So very pretty. The Sunflower roll was, sadly, very bland. I don't think it was because of the missing salmon. I did like the Tiger roll, though. The mackerel sashimi and tamago also hit the spot, as they always do. Service was lovely. The servers were friendly and responsive. They quickly got take-out orders for the steady stream of customers. read more

Ahi tuna poke bowl was fantastic! I added eel sauce and spicy mayo to it (not in the picture). I loved that it came on the side so I could add it to my preference. Perfect size for a full meal that didn't leave me hungry. read more
On the request of my middle son, we went to Kabuki for lunch as it was his birthday. We arrived kind of late, and the restaurant was about 45 minutes before closing time for afternoon. They are closed from like 3-5 pm. After quickly looking through the menu, we got some Miso soup to start off as appetizers. Soup were very tasty. We also ordered the yum yum roll for the birthday boy. I still don't know what that is as I haven't tasted it but he seems to love it. We also ordered a combination of other sushi such as spicy roll, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, California roll. My oldest son wanted a bimbimbap beef bowl. We did enjoy our food as the sushi was very good and the beef dish was flavorful and full of seasoning. Too bad we kind of had to rush as they were about to close for their afternoon session. They had a nice menu available with tons of choices. read more

Some of the most delicious rolls in Michigan. Better than I was expecting! Each roll we got was unique in its own way. The Aroma roll tasted so fresh and the cilantro in it really made it special. We also got the edamame and shrimp shumai, both were winners in my book. read more

Amazing sushi!! I was running late and picked up my food 15min passed the time it was ready... I was worried that the food would be soggy (my fault for being late), but NO!! Still fresh!! Just thinking of the rolls, makes my mouth water! We ordered a Lion King roll, so super tasty and filling! DEFINITELY coming back! read more
A lot of my family members are big fans of this place, so I decided to tag along for dinner. Glad I did. We ordered a bunch of different soups, sushi rolls, main dishes, and just had at it family style. Sushi rolls were made well, the soups were very flavorful but not overly salty. Tempura shrimp and veggies were awesome. Oddly enough they had Korean kalbi and bulgogi, but for a Japanese restaurant they were still very good. I'd come back just for the kalbi alone. Place is pretty cozy, so I feel it's better for small groups than huge get-togethers. read more

I dine in here/get takeout very frequently from Kabuki. Usually everything's great but today's experience was less than pleasant. I arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday with my sister and it was so busy we snagged the last open table. Someone took our drink orders when we sat down but never returned with our drinks. Someone else came and took our drink order again. We then ordered food. 2 miso soups, 1 edamame, 1 salad, 1 California roll with spicy sauce on the side, 1 double climax with no masago, and 1 snow corn roll. Our appetizers came out first and then there was a super long wait for our sushi rolls. Their California is is always good. I didn't really care for the snow corn roll, and the double climax had masago in it (even though when she dropped it off at the table she specifically said "double climax no masago"). So I was not pleased at all about that, I wanted to tell the waitress so she could either take it off have them remake it, but my sister said she would eat it. At the end I noticed something in my soy sauce dish - it was a black hair. Mind you my sister and I have blonde hair, so this was clearly not mine. I was so dissatisfied by the end of this visit that I can honestly say I don't think I will be returning. read more

Came here on a Saturday nights for some quick sushi around 8 pm. Thoughts we would be in and out quick, that was not the case. The place was packed. So we ordered, apps care in a reasonable amount of time, but the sushi rolls took forever. To the point that we were one of the last/only tables in there. The rolls were pretty good, except for the fact that we asked for no masago (fish eggs) on one of the rolls... and there defiantly was, on the inside and very heavy in the center. So my sister was pretty upset. Then she found a hair (not her color) in the soy sauce dish. I don't think we will be heading back here anytime soon, not the best experience. read more
Kabuki is hidden from the main road... it's not easy to find, unless you've been there before. It's behind the VerizonWireless Store, next to Jimmy Johns, right after Chili's (going west on Ford Road). When we got there (Friday night around 7:30pm), it was busy... luckily one of our party members got there early to get a table for five. We were looking around to see what others were eating and we noticed that lot of the tables had this hot plate dish... we asked what it was and found out it was Spicy Seafood Mix on hot plate... $19. We ordered this to share... for myself, I got the Tuna Sashimi. Other foods we ordered, rolls, Chicken Teriyaki, Soontofu & Bulgogi Combo and seafood soontofu. Tuna Sashimi - it definitely was not top grade... but it was okay... 10 thick slices of Tuna for $14... while we waited for the hot plate, I tried the Chicken Teriyaki... they should rename it to 'Dry Chicken Teriyaki'... yeah, the chicken was overcooked and dry. OKAY, we got out Spicy Seafood Mix - it's a mixture of squid, mussels, salad shrimps, shrimps on shell, baby scallops, mixed with Udon Noodles along with onions, green onions. The taste was on the sweet side, however it helped to tone down the spiciness. I liked this dish and would order it again... If you go and order Korean food, do the Soontofu Combo, it'll allow you to try two dishes at once. While I didn't pay attention to all the prices for the Korean food, some of their items are pricy... It's probably one or two places in Canton that serves Korean food. read more

Very good the price is fair. And the selection from the sushi book is extremely elaborate. Much more options than any other sushi restaurant in the area and at a good price. The service can be spotty and you may wait a while for a drink refill and they are not the fastest. But still worth stopping in if you have some time. All and all of solid choice for something different. read more
I've always been a fan of kabuki for sushi. Unfortunately, the Dearborn location closed so this was my first trip to the Canton location. The staff was friendly. They took the time to greet us and check up on any needs from time to time. It's not very big inside. Luckily there was no wait and we were seated right away. We ordered miso soup, 2 California rolls (one spicy and one with caviar), a dragon roll, baked shrimp and crab roll, and a dragon roll. All rolls tasted fresh and were very good. My favorite was the dragon roll with the baked roll coming in as a close second. Definitely will be returning. Reminded me so much of the Dearborn location before the big move to the other side of Michigan Ave. All you Dearborn people know what I'm talking about. read more

In my opinion this is the best sushi restaurant in Canton. We have been here numerous times and we have enjoyed it immensely every single time. The staff is incredibly courteous and friendly and the food has never disappointed. When you come to this restaurant make sure to try their gyoza, as it is absolutely delicious! read more
I usually never have a negative thing to say about a sushi place...but my experience at this sushi place was not well. The menu is limited (ex. no brown rice). The rice was stale. The spicy mayo is spicier than the usual too. The rolls did not have that fresh tasting to it. The place is super small too. Our table was sticky. Will not be back. read more

Is the rice used in the sushi gluten free? I have celiac disease and I used to eat at kabuki all the time when they were still in Dearborn but I got diagnosed after they closed
I also have celiac disease and was desperately wanting to eat here. So, I called them and they said that they don't provide anything gluten free :( sigh.
