    Lobster tempura and dragon rolls
    Ethan Y.

This was the first time I had sushi and I am glad I picked this place, I had the dragon rolls and lobster tempera, they were delicious. The service was amazing, the waiter was very nice and when a customer forgot her food he brought it out to her car. The ambience was amazing it name feel like I was in Japan. I give this five stars and I will be coming back soon.

Omg. Absolutely loved this place. The vibes on the inside were very cute. Not a super upscale place, but it's themed very well on the inside. Almost like a nicer version of a mom and pops restaurant is the best way I can describe it. The food was really good as well. We also had mochi after our dinner which was tasty too! Even though they were pretty busy (I mean every table was taken) the service was fast. OH I almost forgot. We started with the crab Rangoons and they were TO DIE FOR. best crab Rangoon's I have in a while. It was unreal. Already want to go back!!!!

Really great service. The avocado sushi I had was excellent along with the tea. The pad Thai was probably one of my least favorites that I've had. It was ok, I am sure I will eat the leftovers, but I wouldn't order it in the future. Cute restaurant. Nice that they are open till 10.

The food here is really good, the sushi is fresh and the rice is cooked perfectly. The miso soup was amazing. My only problem was the service was horrible. I have been here before and the service wasn't bad.

Service was great! It wasn't busy but regardless, our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The food was also pretty good - I will say the Drunken noodles are a little sweeter than I'm used to. I would come back again to try more things from their menu, right now I only came in for the lunch special, which was a great deal! $12 for a lunch portion or drunken noodles and either miso soup or ginger salad as a side comes with it.

I like the sushi, the people who make it and the girls who bring it to me. U should give it a try

I like how they both have thai food and sushi here. I ordered the red curry with chicken but it didn't fully taste authentic as I hoped. The sushi was good. Their place is clean and perfect for a casual asian dinner. Overall, the service is good.

New management cut down on portion sizes, and upped the prices. This was mine and my husband's favorite place with the old staff so much so that the guy who used to answer the phone knew our order without saying us saying anything. Food is still good but the portion sizes and price is like a slap in the face. They got half the size to go containers. They're very slim and have actually never seen this slim of containers anywhere. Very sad that for less food, you have to pay significantly more.

Food was ok but there were three people working when we were there and all of them were addicted to their phones. That kinda created a weird/dead atmosphere at the restaurant since their lighting was already dark. Our server was a Chinese lady and she was very short with her answers and not helpful for us. We had a young child traveling with us so I asked her if they offer an option to order a boiled egg or some extra pieces of avocado. She said "No, we don't have avocado." first so I asked her to ask the kitchen if there's a way since THEY SELL SUSHI ROLLS with avocados everywhere...lol The sushi chef said "yes" for avocados & we were happy to pay for it. I would give 5 stars IF they had a professional server but that wasn't the case so I had to give 3 and these stars are for the food. Thank you, chef. We enjoyed your food!

We waited 10 minutes after we placed our miso soup order and found out it wasn't placed so we placed it again, no problem. The big issue was then being left again for 15 minutes before placing our food order, and then not get checked on after still not receiving our food for another 20. We noticed other tables around us got their food in a timely manner, so we tried to wave down our server. She instead ignored us, and we finally could wave down another server asking about our food. She was apologetic in saying that the printer was at the end of its roll and thus our order wasn't printed out. I do get it, but we proceeded to wait another 30 minutes for our food to come out. In this instance, you would think our order would be made ahead of all of the other tickets since we've been there for almost an hour at this point. Nope! Our server never apologized and said she was 'surprised' the food was taking a while. Why wouldn't you check with the BOH if your table isn't getting their food? When we did actually get the food, it was okay. Our deep fried rolls tasted of old fryer oil, the regular rolls were better. I've never experienced such abysmal service before.

I really loved every bite I had here. As portions were ginormous, those were a lot of bites. I wasn't expecting much from this Asian fusion place but I wanted sushi or Japanese and my husband did not want to drive too far. Yelping it, this place was the sweet spot. Close and variety in case the hubs wasn't feeling my cravings. I thought for sure he'd opt for Thai but instead he was studying the Japanese selections he pointed out the bento boxes and all the variety. At this point I was married to getting a dirty mouth roll. He said go ahead, we will split it and we can both get bento boxes too. Yikes too much food. We did it. No regrets, just lots of leftovers. The deep fried dirty mouth roll was full of flavors with that amazing contrast of crispy outside, soft inside covered in rich eel sauce and creamy spicy mayo. A winner. The miso soup here is yummy. My husband is not a fan of miso so double bonus for me, he can have my salad. The box was filled. 3 shrimp tempura, tempura veggies, 4 fried dumplings, 2 shumai, a spring roll, rice, fruit and a deep fried California roll. The California roll was a sweet substitute suggested by the waitress, you can pretty much get any roll within reason. Amazing! We were stuffed and happy. We took home some ton katsu to my pork loving dad and got my mom her own bento. To go was packed perfectly and was as generously portioned as dine in. You cannot go wrong here. We are already planning our next visit.

Ramen fit the bill, a meal that would be both comforting and delicious. I've been curious about this restaurant from the many times I've dined in the area. A glance at the online menu, and I realized that I would be happy here. In addition to ramen, they offer interesting appetizers, sushi rolls, and bowls. The restaurant itself is large, with booths running along the window and smaller tables on both sides of my half-wall. The large space is separated by red lacquered scroll dividers and decorated with traditional red lanterns and non-traditional long pendants. I love the bold artwork and the gold accents throughout the space. I always get the Tonkotsu Ramen when trying out a new ramen place. It is how I benchmark the restaurant. The broth was rich and intense; the ramen was topped with pork belly, jammy eggs, julienned wood ear mushrooms (a favorite), corn, and fermented/ pickled (?) bamboo shoots. The noodles were straight and thin, unlike the typical "wavy" ones I am used to. There was also a fishy taste that I first attributed to shrimp, but later, when I watched a video on the restaurant's website, I realized it came from the fish in the shoyu sauce. Overall, it was a deliciously complex dish that I couldn't easily replicate at home. Service was friendly, helpful, and professional.

I'd say the vibes are a bit too over the top and deliberate, which makes me feel that this establishment is not really authentic. The food is not the best. They said they're "known for their ramen" but I hardly find it tasty. The noodles are on the harder side, not bouncy enough, and overall texture is just on the lower end. Their non-ramen items are not better either. Service is good. The waitress was attentive and had a good attitude. Feels like this establishment put all their effort in the "peripheral" things but didn't score the best on the most important one which is the taste itself.

It is located on Ford Rd, with IKEA, Carvel, and Buffalo Wild Wings serving as landmarks. The restaurant is dark, which always makes me a bit uneasy. Some chefs/owners may claim that it sets a mood, but I feel that it hides dirt and makes it challenging to discern ingredients. I quickly reviewed the menu and then carefully read all the ingredients to ensure that nothing I ordered contained salmon (an unfortunate allergy) and cream cheese. The latter because, after many, many attempts, I just don't like that ingredient in sushi rolls. I ordered the Tiger and Sunflower rolls. The Tiger roll starts with shrimp tempura wrapped with cucumber strips, crab stick, and eel, topped with more shrimp, avocado, and eel sauce. I also ordered the Sunflower roll and requested that the salmon be removed. It contained a mosaic of fish: white fish, tuna, yellowtail, escolar, (cooked) shrimp, crab stick, as well as avocado, and tamago. So very pretty. The Sunflower roll was, sadly, very bland. I don't think it was because of the missing salmon. I did like the Tiger roll, though. The mackerel sashimi and tamago also hit the spot, as they always do. Service was lovely. The servers were friendly and responsive. They quickly got take-out orders for the steady stream of customers.

I came on my own, ordered $25 worth of sushi, and was reading a book. When I came in they were not crowded and there were plenty of open tables (early dinner time), but by the time I left it picked up. I ordered a single piece of uni appetizer, which was $10, and figured it would be a really high quality large piece. I was pretty disappointed at 3 small uni pieces laid across rice. I was hoping for one huge piece of uni for that price. But, the quality was very good! I also had a salmon and avocado roll and spicy tuna, and both of those were very good. The standout was the spicy tuna, made with chili oil I'm sure. Spicy but not unbearable spicy. I think they had real wasabi and actually my favorite thing I ate today was their pickled ginger! The ginger pieces are crisp with a fresh crunch that I haven't gotten from typical, limp sushi ginger. I asked for low sodium soy sauce when my sushi came out and waited at least 5 minutes before giving up and using the regular soy sauce... A couple minutes later the waitress finally brought the low sodium version, said nothing about it being lost or any other possible explanation for taking so long, said something like "Oh" when she saw I had used the regular one already. But, I also think she didn't speak English. When I was more than halfway done eating but obviously still eating, she brought over the bill. As I was still eating, she came by, picked it up, and opened it to check if my card was in it, I kid you not, 3 separate times, over the course of maybe 10 minutes. I had to ask for more water when it was already empty. One time she got more water, the other time she literally walked away as I was talking to her...but again, I don't think she was purposely ignoring me as much as she seemed afraid of me? She probably thought I was laughing at her but really I just laugh awkwardly as a defense mechanism in awkward situations...oh well! Would I recommend this place for the delicious food? Sure! Would I go out of my way to come here again after whatever that service experience was? Personally, no, because I didn't feel like anyone was even trying to provide good service. If my waitress was confused I wish she would have sent someone else over to translate or for help. But maybe it's better if you speak Japanese/ignore any awkward service faux pas...the fact that it was full of Japanese people speaking Japanese is a great sign!

I went in and barely anyone was in there, we were sure it must be good right? Wrong. First off was the wait staff not very friendly and pretty mute to any questions / not understanding of asks. The 2 chicken appetizers - they were hot and fried crispy but chicken inside was pink and red.. felt it wasn't cooked all the way. My husband and I stopped eating it in case we get sick. We left it on the table they kept asking if we wanted a box three times, no they were terrible. But this is after I sent back my ramen.. Again I read a raving review, saw a photo of "uncovering this hidden gem". I try ramen all over the place, I was happy to try what they were popular for. No this place is terrible and a waste of money. This ramen is the worst I have had in my life that I took two bites. One it burnt my entire mouth because it was boiling - probably so I couldn't even taste the real taste. After letting it cool I tried it and it was awful tasting, not spicy like requested. And smelled burnt like plastic & tasted like that. I asked waitress for help - she said "oh I can get you more spicy?" I said no it's not even tasting good at all. She said well you ordered it and now it's wasted.. so I'm not sure what we can do about it. Then She yells across the restaurant to the "chef" about my complaint behind the sushi counter. He said something I don't even know- but then said sorry you didn't like it. Then she goes "we have multiple people and full tables come in and eat this everyday and Never complain all the time". I said okay great. Well I don't like it and it's not worth the cost. It's not at all what's advertised. And also the restaurant was basically empty... Worst meal I've actually had overall. Even after sending it back the appetizers cost $55 that were also bad and never got finished - but we didn't want to complain about the entire meal at this point we didn't eat some. This meal was so bad, I could have walked out. But not that kind of person. I would suggest to take your hard earned money elsewhere for better food. Still regret picking this place.

I ended up picking one of the five selections from the Udon Noodles or Soba part of the menu. The Nabe Yaki Udon was made up of udon noodles in a soup with shrimp tempura, chicken, fish cake, vegetable, and a poached egg. While waiting for our main courses, a complimentary dish of salad with ginger dressing was provided to each of us. My food came in two parts with the two pieces of shrimp tempura being served on its own dish. The bowl of noodles was placed on a plate as a holder. For $19.99, the portion size was small. The broth was mild and non-spicy while the rest was fairly standard. The tempura was the best part of my lunch which was not what I had hoped for. What led me to downgrade our dining experience to below three stars was the 20% gratuity that was added to our check. Nowhere was it stated on the menu that such a policy would be implemented. I rarely see this for a party of two as most restaurants don't automatically include a prespecified tip unless the group is six or more. The practice is also more customary at upscale establishments which Ichiban Hibachi Steakhouse and Sushi Bar was clearly not.

I was fortunate to find that this place was open on Xmas day. Cool building and location. You can…read moredo the hibachi or regular order. I chose regular. I got: shrimp pad Thai and volcano roll. It came with miso soup and house salad. The roll was just ok. The soup and salad, same. The pad Thai tasted more like lomein, but was pretty tasty. I think sushi is better at Godaiko. The service was excellent. Perhaps I'll return to try the hibachi.
