Fantastic, Homemade Prik Nam Som (Thai Chili Dip Condiment)! Love The Variation Of Adding Sugar To Balance The Acidity.

I wanted to update my review. This place does not disappoint! Great food, service, and large menu. And very clean. In my opinion, they have the most authentic Thai food in the area. They also carry Thai dishes that are hard to find at other establishments. I have been a loyal customer for months now. I always ask for prik nam pla, prik nam som, and prik pong ("roasted ground chili") to finish my entrees with additional chilis. Although one can find prik pong at other Thai restaurants, it is very difficult to find the nam priks which make a big difference in the eating experience. Great place!

I have finally come to the conclusion after four separate orders that I do not like this place. What I DO like on a positive note: the service is super nice, they have reasonably priced ($13) lunch specials, and it's open incredibly late in a town that's not exactly a bustling metropolis. My most recent order was for delivery and I got the drunken noodles and a papaya salad. The latter was WAY overpriced but I love papaya salad and it's not on every Thai restaurant's menu so I figured I would try it. Both were ordered at the spiciest level and I would say they were a medium/medium plus at best. I've had several other dishes as well (cucumber salad, pad Thai, green curry, etc) and have been disappointed with all of them. The one redeeming quality of the green curry is that it was chock full of veggies/meat because the curry itself was watery and not super flavorful. Outside of the lunch specials, I think their pricing is way too high. Granted the portions are large but it's not a super fancy place by any means. My search for a Thai restaurant in Plymouth continues because I have just given up on Ocha.

I've heard so many recommendations for this place so I was definitely excited to try it out! Our service was pretty quick, and it seemed like whoever noticed we needed water or anything would help out, not only our specific waiter, which was nice and definitely speeded things along. The food was good, but I'm sad to say it didn't amaze me like I was expecting. The crab rangoons were good, but the breading was too thick. Not a major fan. Then we got Pad Cashew Nut, which was...okay. Nothing amazing. I wish there was more taste in the sauce? Like maybe if it was thicker? I don't know, I was definitely not impressed with it. The Drunken noodles were pretty good though and definitely redeemed the meal. I could see myself going back but probably sticking to noodle or fried rice dishes.

Still my favorite Thai place in town. Typically get takeout versus dine in. Most authentic Thai restaurant in the area. Ordering via phone is easy. You can find them on uber eats too. If you haven't been here and love Thai food, gotta give it a try!

the texture of the pad see ew was lichrally awesome the scallops and noodles and everything except it was overly salted bro the tom kha eh i've had better and there wasn't enough mushrooms or meat. lots of soup but i like soup. eggrolls standard and nice! 3.5/5

I'm going to make this short and sweet. I didn't even know that I liked Thai food until I came here. I have tried Thai food numerous times but it never stood out to me until I had Thai Ocha. I was told this is the most authentic you can get in the area, and if this is authentic, then Thai food is officially my jam. I've come here at least 5 times in the last year. My go to orders is the red curry, pad see ew, and the papaya salad. They are a very small restaurant that holds probably only eight tables, but the food is always consistent, the service is always good. This is the restaurant that I recommend everyone trying whenever they're in town. 10/10 would come back every day.

Take out. Love the Drunken Noodles! Pad Thai is good but too sweet for me. Great fried rice and pork egg rolls.

Ask the Community - Thai Ocha

    Do they use MSG?

    no idea. ask them!

Going through Yelp the prices seem to be 50% higher than looking at the Thai Ocha website - which prices are more accurate?

The website prices are what I've been charged when I call in for a carry out. When I order online through another app, the prices are a little higher. The restaurant pays a fee through the online order 3rd parties.

Was it always called Thai Ocha or is that a new name with new owners?

Used to be called Thai Cafe on Main. They've expanded the dining hall into the shop that used to be next door. Same menu, same staff, same quality of food.

They have their own parking lot, not too bad…read more The restaurant looks like it took over a bank or some office based business. Not what I would expect for a Thai restaurant. One waiter running the entire restaurant and one food runner. Ordered chicken fresh roll, crab cheese, tom yum chicken, gai tom ka with chicken, pad Thai with chicken, steamed tofu and veggies, Thai hot, pad prik with chicken and steam tofu, medium+. $76.07 They do charge more for using CC here. :( Their scallop and crab meat are imitation. Scallops as imitation, that's a first. They give you a complimentary salad to start. Dressing is interesting, tastes fishy, maybe some fish sauce to the sauce. It's meh. The crab cheese is good, good flavor, not much crab to them. Wonton is super crunchy. The fresh rolls are good, rather slim, but at least they put a decent slice of chicken breast meat in the roll. The peanut sauce is okay, added some chili to it to give it some flavor and kick. The rolls are good. The Tom Yum is okay, thought there would be more lemongrass flavoring to it. I have heard from 3 pick-up customers that this place is closing. I asked a staffer, they close in two weeks. Building was purchased and they have to move. They are still trying to find a new place to relocate to, yet. The pad Thai was okay. They use the dried chili peppers for the heat. The pad pak was pretty good. Lots of green peppers and onions though. I think there was all of two red peppers in the dish, more would have been good. Service is good.

I had been unwell for a week, so there were no groceries at home. Thai food was a welcomed change…read morefrom the bland cuisine I had been subsisting on. A quick search brought me to a restaurant that has been part of my town for as long as I can remember; I don't know why I've never been here. It was way past lunch, so the restaurant was empty. Before I was properly settled, a warm soup of tofu and pasta was served to me. Yum. I had the Three's Company: stir-fried shrimp, scallops, imitation crab, and I think, squid. The curry-based meal was served with meaty, chunky mushrooms (yum!), green peppers, bamboo shoots, and onions. As expected, the lunch-sized portion was small. Additionally, I tried a few bites of the duck, fried and served with broccoli spears, carrot slices, and baby corn, all in a brown sauce. Good but pricey. Service was fine.
