Great experience getting Thai takeout from Simply Thai. Takeout has become a huge part of the restaurant experience mid-pandemic, so I'll hit on some of the key points people are looking to hear first: the restaurant does takeout by phone, and you'll come in to pick up inside the building (no curbside pickup available). They do require masks, waiting spots are marked so people maintain a distance, and there's a clear plexiglass barrier between the staff and customers during the pickup process. They do provide hand sanitizer as well. As of my visit on 9/12, they weren't doing dine-in service. The menu is pretty straightforward, but I wish the website was updated and had a copy of it! Luckily you can find photos of it on here, as well as on other websites that feature the restaurant. The food itself was good, but unfortunately it looks like they've stopped serving fried wontons, which was a bit of a bummer. The spring roll was standard fare, but the Peanut Curry Noodles were a stand-out performer! My only gripe is that the extra-hot spice level is still not as hot as I'd like. (Disclaimer: I have a high spice tolerance, and I'd asked for the hottest level they had). Overall, no complaints about Simply Thai -- if you're looking for a Thai takeout spot near Wixom/ Commerce, look no further!

THE best Thai food/restaurant in this general area! Total hidden gem. For some reason, the restaurant doesn't show up on Google maps which is a shame. The staff are very friendly and food preparation is quick. I've had the pad Thai, pad see ew, and curry pad thai. All are incredible, and this has become my go to Thai restaurant in the area!! The inside of the restaurant decor is nothing special, but again it's only to go ordering at the moment. The spring rolls are crispy and flavorful, and the noodle dishes are all well balanced as well. 10/10 recommend this place!!!

Noodles are great, a staple for our carry out rotation. Phone line is almost always busy but it's worth it.

I recently tried this carryout. And it's pretty good not the best in the world, but it's worth it for what you get and the price.

Trash Food, Trash Service - Stay Away…read more Another so-called "highly rated" Asian restaurant serving up straight garbage. Let me save you the mistake I made. The food? Disgusting. The service? Even worse. I called to report the awful meal I received, and instead of any kind of accountability, the woman I spoke to told me it was my problem. No apology, no solution just pure attitude and blame-shifting. Classy. Let's talk about the food: * Sweet and Sour Chicken: A soggy, inedible mess. The chicken was drowning in sauce, so saturated the breading slid off like wet paper. Ever had meat slide out of mush? Now I have. Absolutely vile. * Crab Rangoon: Not crispy. Not even close. Rubbery, stale, and lazy. Like someone microwaved it and hoped no one would notice. * Egg Roll: Same story rubbery Zero crunch. Zero flavor. Zero effort. * Wonton Soup: Greasy, flavorless broth with gummy, overcooked wontons that tasted like they'd been soaking in hot water for hours. You'd get more taste chewing a napkin. I live less than two miles away, so don't even try to blame the drive. If your food can't survive a 5-minute trip, you shouldn't be in the takeout business. And when I asked to return the meal? I was told to "throw it in the trash" because they weren't offering a refund or credit. The only honest thing they said all night because that's exactly where this food belongs. Do yourself a favor skip this place. The food is trash. The service is trash. The entire experience was a waste of time, money, and appetite. They clearly don't care about quality or customers. Shameful.

Stick with the Thai food or fried foods. I ordered General Tsao Chicken and it made me nauseous…read more I ate about 2 bites and had to stop. I really don't like making negative posts in general and even more so because the people there are very kind. All in all, I think there's better options in the area and we won't be getting take out here again.

Unfortunately this place was a miss for me…read more I have tried them 4 times in the last 2 years because I really want to support them in the area. However, each time is not good. I think their biggest downside is the meat portion. They don't give enough meat in their food. Their flavor isn't bad, but for their prices, portions of meat and food should be a lot better. Their service is hit or miss. One person will be very accommodating and the other will be standoffish.

Today, the smell of the restaurant's…read morefood was wafting through the salon, so I decided to go there for lunch after I was done. It was a little after 1:00 and there were only 2 tables with people, which seemed kind of odd. I ordered hot tea, for which they charged $2. Not a lot, given what other restaurants charge for tea, but at most Asian restaurants, tea is complimentary. I ordered chicken pad thai, and I was told that they were including complimentary soup (which makes up for the charge for tea, I suppose). I got the Tom Yum soup, and it was very good. When my pad thai came, it tasted off; the peanuts were rancid. I mentioned it to the server and she said they fried them A WEEK AGO! No wonder they were rancid! She offered to have it remade, and I said ok & to leave the peanuts off. It was better the second time, but not the best I've had. It also seemed that the prices were kind of high for the lunch menu. While I thought the service was pretty good, I just was not impressed with the food, so I won't be coming back.
