L33. Orange Chicken Combo Dinner Special w/ side of metal
David T.

I found a shard of staple in my food, restaurant uses staples to secure Styrofoam Togo containers. I found one when I bit down into my food. Restaurant does not accept the orders, nor would I get another meal and risk it. I will say this is very sad because I've eaten there food there before and it was really good. But this order was unsafe to consume

This location really surprised me. We got a general tso chicken dinner to share and WE LOVED IT. Their chicken fried rice is actually WAY better than many locations I've tried. I could have literally just ate all that flavorful rice and would have been happy. But it doesn't stop there. Crab Rangoons with STAPLE PLUM SAUCE was unmatched. We ordered extra plum sauce cuz I had a good feeling about it. Overall I'm IMPRESSED and want to come back for the Boneless Almond Chicken. I can't speak for that dish, but with quality food I received today it's looking pretty promising. Try 'em out!

Orange Chicken 34. Chicken Fried Rice 2. Egg Roll (1)

Incredible food! Very polite service too. I ordered orange chicken with chicken fried rice and rib tips & my boyfriend ordered pepper steak with chicken fried rice. We got egg drop soup and the wonton soup as well. It's the best Chinese food either of us have ever had- I didn't even like egg rolls before trying theirs! The sauce on the orange chicken was very intensely orange flavored and not bland/ambiguous tasting like others. Try this place out!!

Wow. Woe. First time I have ever been somewhere where the waitress/server was absolutely phenomenal and the food was just plain gross. While the soup (egg drop) and the egg roll were pretty good, the main entrees (general chicken and Mongolian beef) were awful. The chicken was breaded chunk meat of mostly dark parts. The beef tasted sweet and was really bland. The rice was like half fried rice - hard to tell. Two stars for a stellar waitress.

Wow, no impressed. Wontons barely have any filling. And there's nothing else in this soup. Quite disappointing.

All I can say, I was afraid to wash my hands in the bathroom. Food tasted like someone sprayed bug killer on it.

Food is not consistent. New owners. That might be the problem. When you ask for spicy you get not spicy.

Good place for consistent food. I tried chicken a few times but always fatty and hard to chew. Non chicken seemed much better.

Great menu options! Their sesame chicken and fried rice is the best! I highly recommend going here for authentic fresh food!

It's very close to the former suburban showplace and located in a strip mall. There was availability in the shared parking lot. When we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the decor and layout of the restaurant. It was busy but only had to wait for a few minutes for them to get a table ready. There were seats at the bar which seemed like a good atmosphere if you chose to sit there. We sat by the window in a 4 top for just the 2 of us. My seat was comfy on a bench. There were many items on the menu that we wanted to try but asked our server for recommendations. My husband ordered wonton soup for appetizer and then Mongolian beef. I ordered the Thai basil chicken. We ate it all! Everything was flavorful and hot in temperature and served just at the right amount of pace. I also ordered the white flower cocktail, it was good and can't quite determine what part of it had a little kick to it! We ordered hot tea for our dessert, they certainly know how to make jasmine tea just right! Restrooms were clean and it's a cozy yet a little upscale vibe but not dressy. I was worried as I had my Star Wars t-shirt on but I layered with a sweater! We will definitely return as I'd like to splurge and try the Hong Kong short ribs!

Walnut Shrimp, of course, since I get it every time. The portion seems smaller, and the mayo sauce is less sweet.

Attentive service…read more When there are flies, sanitation is a worry. There were three flies, but I did not notice any sanitation problems. The squirrel fish was a dud when compared to Trizest and Thai Star. Too much breading and no heat whatsoever - swimming in a sea of brown sauce. My bride is Chinese and ordered for me in Mandarin. Told them that I eat Chinese, not laowai/American. My bride enjoyed her lamb and cabbage soup.

After placing our order, the website said our food would be ready in about 15 minutes, but really, we ended up waiting for 30+ minutes for our food. So that's something we'll take into account the next time we order on a busy night. Otherwise, from the moment we walked in after 8pm, every table in this place was full, and all the employees were working hard to make sure people were taken care of. So it's only fair to give them some grace while we waited for our food. Otherwise, the servers made sure to let us know they were working on our order. Since we'd ordered take out, we ate at home, and the food made it seem worth the wait. This is not "cheaper = more food" Chinese food. This tasted like an authentically cooked meal with complex favors that rationalized the higher than expected prices. The next time we come, we might just look for a table inside the restaurant for a different experience, but we'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings!

Once you enter the two set of doors, there will be a cart full of huge bowls and tongs. Once you one of each, you'll take a few steps to the toppings of your choice. You can get as much as you'd like... just remember it can add up quick especially if you get more than a lbs. I love spice and heat, but stick to spice level one. After you get your bowl weighed, they'll give you a number once you pay. You also get the option of adding in: ramen, udon, or rice on the side. They offer water with small cups that's on the other side of the cashier and canned pop/ Asian drinks (for additional cost). Even though it can get busy, I've never had a problem getting a seat. This place is always clean- table and restrooms. Service is friendly and pretty quick. Once you're done, you bus your bowl to the back- where the trash can is located. This is a perfect restaurant on a cold day. Can't wait to eventually try out the stir fry and dry dishes!

You tell them which broth you would prefer. We went with the Mala Tang spice level 2. The broth is fabulous, the noodles, the meats and the bean curds tasted divine. It definitely does the trick. I would definitely recommend. 7.3/10 If you're ever in Novi, Michigan do give this spot a proper go at it and let me know what you think. Not Necessarily in a Good Way." So here's what happened. A good friend recommended the place. My wife, my buddy, and I made a special trip to visit Jeff's Kitchen. The chef, Mr. Xu, runs the place. Now this gentleman is a character. Every dish arrives personally escorted by Chef Xu himself. Back and forth. Back and forth. Marching around the dining room like he's inspecting troops. Face serious enough to negotiate a peace treaty. Not a smile in sight. Honestly, it was hilarious. Business was apparently booming. There were exactly four people in the restaurant: The three of us... and Chef Xu. A full house can be set on a mahjong table. We ordered: Shanghai soup dumplings Two orders of pan-fried pork buns Shanghai bok choy with mushrooms Chili chicken Crystal shrimp The Food Soup DumplingsActually quite good. Pan-Fried Pork BunsThese poor buns looked like they'd been through a divorce. If regular buns saw them, they'd laugh. If other pan-fried buns saw them, they'd cry. Bok Choy with MushroomsPerfectly acceptable. The culinary equivalent of "I'm just here so I won't get fined." Chili ChickenLooked like the chef spun a wheel and combined whatever ingredients it landed on. Unexpected. Confusing. Inspirational. Crystal ShrimpTo be fair, not bad. Credit where credit is due. Now guess the bill. Two meat dishes. One vegetable. Three dim sum items. After tip? $171.75 At that moment, several emotions visited me simultaneously. "Michelin-star prices for pan-fried buns?" "Did I accidentally finance somebody's retirement account?" "And why am I paying luxury rates to be glared at?" Then came the tipping adventure. My soft Shanghai heart tightened. My hand trembled. I wrote down: $170 Chef Xu immediately objected. "Only 15%? Why didn't you leave the full amount?" The tone. The expression. The disappointment. You would've thought I'd just informed him that the family business was being repossessed. At that point I figured: No service. No smile. Plenty of attitude. Probably not coming back. So I left one star. Lost the first star because the prices require venture-capital funding. Lost the second star because the customer service felt like a disciplinary hearing. Lost the third star because the food was wildly inconsistent. Lost the fourth star because I somehow traveled all the way to North America only to witness Shanghai people scamming other Shanghai people. That one hurt emotionally. I left one star out of courtesy. A humble request from one Shanghainese to another: Please don't embarrass Shanghai people in front of other Shanghai people. We're all on the same team. At least smile before presenting a $171.75 bill.
