I ordered the Beef Szechuan and the meat was grey.. For the record you can spell Grey two ways . Gray/Grey anywho I don't think beef is supposed to be that color and the taste proved that. So yeah the food was not good also when I ordered over the phone I said I'd like a cup of the chili oil. When I got there I said I'd like to buy a cup of the chili oil and the guy said it's in the bag we give it to you for free . I said really a big cup of it not the little cup thing and he said yes . I went in the day before I needed the food. I spoke with the woman at the counter and ordered a large order, (7 quarts and 1 pint of food, and 10 egg rolls). I paid for the order in cash, and asked when was the earliest I could pick up the food the next day; which opened at 11:00. I was told 11:30 AM. I was having friends for lunch. I got to the restaurant at 11:30 and stood at the counter waiting to be helped. There were several large orders on the counter. I finally just said I was there to pick up my large order. They continued to work, I asked how much longer. The woman said 10 more minutes. What I didn't realize at first was none of the food on the counter was mine. They hadn't even started the food. After 15 minutes, I reminded the woman about what I was promised, and instead of apologizing or even being nice, she snapped (you don't want it?). They're RUDE! I was asking a question about getting fried rice with our egg foo young, as I have done every time I have ordered there. We were clearly having a miscommunication. She yelled at me that it's white rice and hung up. I had some questions before that, I understand if I was being long-winded, go ahead and put me on hold while you take other orders, I would totally understand. But to hang up on me and not take my call again when I tried to apologize for the miscommunication is flat out bad business. The family is sick, so we just decided to get carry out. That was the biggest mistake. We have been eating there for a few years and the young man that works the counter is always very nice and respectful and the few interactions I have had with the older lady were never very pleasant. This time when I picked up our order, I told the young man my name as usual and I paid for the food and went home. My wife started getting the kids food ready and noticed that we had the wrong food. She called to ask if we could get the right order and since our food was cheaper and the difference back. The lady started yelling at my wife saying that she had me on camera agreeing to the order that he read off. She then said that since I agreed to it that there was no refunds or exchanges and hung up on my wife. My wife called back and talked to the young man and he apologized and said if we brought the food back he would give us our original (now cold) food order and refund the difference. Mind you, I'm on trip number two and this place is 15 minutes from my house. I brought the food back and the young man apologized telling me that there were two orders with the same name. I apologized because it was partially my fault for not paying attention when he read off my order which I didn't hear him ask. He was having trouble getting my refund and the older lady came out and gave him a death stare and started yelling at him for messing up in front of me and two other customers. I told her that it was an accident and we both made mistakes. That really pissed her off. They were still having problems getting my refund of the difference. I told her that so they didn't have to throw the food out that I brought back and I messed up too. Don't refund my $20 and I'll take all of the food with me. She lost her mind and started to check the whole food order that I brought back to make sure everything was there. She started yelling and said," you touched the food." How else do you check to see if it was right. This response told me that she was going to reheat the order that was at my house full of sick people and sell it to someone else. I started to get loud back and told her," I wanted no food and a full refund," and she refused. Her husband came out and told her to give me a refund. After two trips, I left with $52 and no food. It wasn't even that big of a deal, just very poor customer service skills on her part that made something out of nothing. Definitely not going back there again. The angry lady shouldn't be able to talk to customers anymore. The kid was doing the right thing for the situation and handled it correctly. On a more positive note, Leo's Coney Island came through with great food as usual. read more

The food is average in my opinion but the portion sizes as other reviewers have mentioned are quite large where one entree can feed two or three people. Service is also fast which is a plus. lastly cost is very reasonable where my meal on this nite (Beef and peppers with Side Egg Roll) was less than $10. I paid 20$ for a good amount a food so I'm not complaining about the portions, although felt really bad throwing most of it into the trash. A dinner of fried rice with orange chicken and a side egg roll. Now to start the fried rice looked as if it was coated in black oil? I've eaten plenty of fried rice and I think they must've used burnt old oil because it's not supposed to look dark brown or black tint. Secondly, the orange chicken although coated in sauce was extremely dry on the inside? How could that be? unless it was cooked frozen. Disappointing in many ways. The food was bland, greasy, and just unappetizing. In their favor, their is a ton of food in each order!
