    White Tiger

GREAT experience here. Stopped in for a lunch date and we were extremely happy with the food, service, environment, and staff. The food presentation was gorgeous, and delicious. This is a family owned restaurant, and the the staff clearly takes pride in the care and quality of their restaurant. We were able to watch our food be made and it was beautifully done for all the guests at the restaurant. I got the White Tiger roll as well as another spicy roll that I can't remember, but both were delicious and presented well. 10/10 recommendation.

Great service and good food. Pretty presentation as well! The food was fresh and had a lot of flavor and the restaurant was very clean!

The sushi rolls were fantastic, especially the Los Angeles Roll. I even ate the flowers. The service was great and I enjoyed the background music too.

The food and service are amazing! The food comes out very quickly so easy to go here on a lunch break!

Service is excellent. Food is delicious and beautifully plate. kids are full but they still order more because they can't get enough of it. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

Spicy salmon with thick hair embedded hair in the rice. Called and they did not know how to issue refund. Very disappointing.

Thick hair embedded into spicy salmon roll. Called to ask for refund for just this roll, and they could not figure out how to issue it.

It's seems impossible to give this place anything less than 5 stars. Easy to Park. Walked in and immediately we were sat. Excellent customer service which met all of our needs. Food was amazing.

I have been wanting to try this place for like 10 years now. Having grown up in the Plymouth-Canton area, O'Sushi has been around since Johnson's Family Dining & Bargains-4-U existed and that goes waaaay back my friends! Very good service from the get go! The rolls we sampled were Beverly Hills, Pineapple, Spider and Vegas. The winners were Beverly Hills and Spider. Remember to ask for separate plates. I guess it was okay, not really that impressed, but good for basic rolls.

This place is ok. Sashimi was fresh, maki were kind of sloppily made. Prices are pretty ridiculous for the quality, nevermind the location and decor. Really like the cucumber wrapped rolls. Nothing else was worth noting here. Last time i came the rice tasted hard and old. Had a spider roll there which tasted like it was cooked in 6 month old burnt grease, was pretty nasty. I tend to not come back to this place more than once a year, there are better japanese places nearby that are cheaper.

I hate to give such a low review but it felt like such a waste to come here. Upon entering you will notice that the temperature of the restaurant is a little warm since they use mostly fans and a little air conditioning. The only place I could feel the air conditioner was in the restroom. I was skeptical but just proceeded to order. I ordered the donkatsu and my husband had the tempura donburi. Usually donkatsu is very safe to order since they always taste reasonable but not this one. The pork was so thin and tough and the tempura coating on the pork separated from every single piece, bottom and top. The only positive I could say was that the donkatsu coating was very crispy. My husband's tempura had a thick batter and the rice was drenched with the sauce. You could literally see about 1/4 cup worth of sauce on the bottom of the bowl. I would've taken a picture of the donkatsu falling apart or the drenched rice but the waitress was watching so I didn't want to offend anyone. The meal was roughly $30 excluding the cost of tip but was not worth the price. Perhaps the sushi is better but I don't know. I just wouldn't recommend this place at least for the entree.

Last time I was here they gave a couple red-apple flavored hard candies with the bill. Sphere with a pink stripe in it in a pink wrapper. Does anyone know what these little candies are called? I cannot find them anywhere.

Those are Haitai Sweet Plum Candies. The pink ones are plum, and the green ones are muscat (Green Grape). They used to sell them at O'sushi, so you should ask next time you're in! You can also get them at Korean markets or even Amazon!

After graduating my girlfriend [now wife] and I would make it a point to try and eat at Matsu-Chan when in the area, even after our first kiddo, and eventually our second. Last year before one of our trips to the area my wife let me know that they were under new management and when I looked at the new menu, I was saddened that all of my favorite items were no longer present, and it seemed that my beloved little slice of Japan was now "just" a ramen shop. While my wife loves and can handle ramen and the broth, I would typically get the different rice bowls, or other entrees because while I love me some good ramen it doesn't work out well for me with the hour or so trip to the area. We'd get some rolls, takoyaki, and other appetizers to share around the table before digging into our main entrees. With the increased prices, and fewer options, I will end up going to any of the multitude of places [Aji-ten is usually our #2] to get my kick. I'll miss the little shop and the times I've had, like perusing the manga while waiting for a table. I wish the old owners the best, and the new management as well, especially if it was a familial transfer, but Matsu-Chan is not for me anymore. My wife will eventually get up there and let me know how it is, but for now, I'm just happy that a little bento shop opened near my workplace run by two first gen transplants, so I can at least get my fix without the drive.

Others following us added their names to the waitlist. The restaurant is small with just a handful of tables. One chef, it appears, prepared all the meals. I barely glanced at the menu; I already knew I was having the ramen. The only question was which one. My friend selected the eel bowl while I had the miso pork soup. The latter was served with sliced pork, bamboo shoots, fish cake, and seaweed. The broth was full of flavor; I enjoyed every slurp. I appreciated that the meal was sizeable and inexpensive - I was able to stretch it to two meals. We did not linger given the number of people waiting.

The servers were very courteous and always smiling, looked nice in their all black shirt, pants and apron. Modern interior ... elements of wood, vinyl red upholstery, and lots of japanese lanterns hanging by the sushi bar and kitchen area. Lots of elbow room and proportional height of the dining table. And in each table, they would place on top of each sushi plate a thick paper napkin, and chopstick with their logo printed on the front. Very hot water is served in a ceramic sake cup. For a group of three, we ordered the highly recommended Tonkotso Ramen $18, Stir fry noodles $16, and Chicken Katsu Curry Bowl $17. There was a strange smell of the bowl used to served the stir fry noodles and it tasted bland .. but for Ramen noodles, I very much enjoyed enjoyed eating the thin noodles garnished with chashiu, soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, nori and corn - the only downside is the broth was easily absorb by the noodles so you might need to order extra broth for additional $5. The breaded chicken breast is good in proportion enough to feed three and the curry sauce was ok ... maybe a few pieces of carrot would have been great. I do commend how they prepared the egg and created a very nice plating of it on top of the rice. At first, we hesitated to dine in because of the reviews like slow service but actually it seems that the food and drinks were served more or less 10-15 minutes. Just about right when you want your food to be prepared by them the right way. Free parking. Dining area is warm so don't bother wearing a thick jacket inside.

It's a standalone structure with its own dedicated parking lot which was a plus. Upon entering, you informed the host if you wanted hibachi cooking for your meal or not. That would take you to the left or the right (hibachi) dining room for seating. The interior decor was lit up with neon lighting. It made the ambiance feel like you were stuck in the past. My friend and I came for a weekday lunch and elected not to do hibachi. During our visit, we were the only ones seated in the left dining room. The menu was contained within a multi-page booklet with lots of categories. Maybe that was part of the problem at Ichiban as the choices were too diverse. I ended up picking one of the five selections from the Udon Noodles or Soba part of the menu. The Nabe Yaki Udon was made up of udon noodles in a soup with shrimp tempura, chicken, fish cake, vegetable, and a poached egg. While waiting for our main courses, a complimentary dish of salad with ginger dressing was provided to each of us. My food came in two parts with the two pieces of shrimp tempura being served on its own dish. The bowl of noodles was placed on a plate as a holder. For $19.99, the portion size was small. The broth was mild and non-spicy while the rest was fairly standard. The tempura was the best part of my lunch which was not what I had hoped for. What led me to downgrade our dining experience to below three stars was the 20% gratuity that was added to our check. Nowhere was it stated on the menu that such a policy would be implemented. I rarely see this for a party of two as most restaurants don't automatically include a prespecified tip unless the group is six or more. The practice is also more customary at upscale establishments which Ichiban Hibachi Steakhouse and Sushi Bar was clearly not.
