Went to Paint on the 22 of July and got my nails done for a special event and by the time I got to my event on 27 of July my nails were chipping terribly. On my arrival home my nails were so badly chipped I removed my gel on 7/29 and now have naked nails after paying $95 not including tip. One of my favorite manicure experiences. The ladies that work at the front desk are so sweet and welcoming. I love coming and drinking a mimosa while you pick your color. Very clean and well kept. I was so disappointed in my luxury pedicure service. I was greeted and told to wash my hands and pick a color. Just as I started looking at the colors my technician pushed me to choose and sit. I was then lectured at and directed throughout what should have been a relaxing pedicure. My nails and cuticles were barely touched and when I mentioned it the tech started in on podiatry and how she filed my nails. My technician excused herself 8 or 9 times throughout the service often returning with puffy eyes. After the last time she got up, the receptionist arrived to paint my nails, with no explanation. Meanwhile the tech moved on to a new customer. I left Paint with a lovely paint job and feeling worse than when I entered. read more

I am thoroughly impressed by the service, cleanliness, and experience that I had on my birthday at this nail salon. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the environment was welcoming, the personalities of everyone there were classy as hell, and the nail salon didn't smell like chemicals. I was treated like an absolute princess for my birthday and I don't think I can ever resist coming back to this place. Since I had such a packed day, I didn't get a picture of my manicure on the day it was given, but my nails don't have any chips on Day 5, which is something I've never had the luxury of saying. I have problematic bendy nails and awful cuticles, but the treatment they gave me took care of all the issues I had. They listened to what I told them and gave me a wide selection of colors and treatments. This location has potential but unfortunately I keep getting disappointed. It's so difficult to get an appointment for less than a week in advance. I can't tell if it's sheer volume or management, but I came from being a Paint regular (membership and everything) in Miami because I simply got serviced so quickly, I could keep up with weekly visits. I hope this location expands their hours so working women can come in until 7 on more weekdays. Maybe it would open up some more appointment slots. I went here for a gel mani and regular pedi. The pedi looks good, however the manicure did not turn out well. There is polish on my skin, the color on my two hands are different shades and she did not shape my nails the way I asked. My one nail even looks bumpy. Not impressed and will not return. UPDATE: the owner commented and asked me to come back in to fix this issue. I did go back and the nail specialist who did my nails this time was wonderful and did a great job. Had such a relaxing and wonderful time at Paint Nail Bar. There is a parking lot in the back, which is a huge plus in the city. When I went in, they asked me to sanitize my hands and phone, which made me feel comfortable that they were doing their part to mitigate COVID. They offered me water/juice/tea/coffee or a mimosa--obviously I had to go with the mimosa. After I finished mine, they even gave me another! My pedicure was amazing, and my nail tech was very kind. Disclaimer: I did not get a manicure at this place. I made an appointment at Paint Nail Bar three days ago for an appointment. I had a specific discussion with the woman on the phone about how they were booked for the holiday but had availability the Tuesday after. I show up at my appointment today only to be told my appointment was for a week later. While I do not mind an appointment mix up, I do mind how I was treated. The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. She did not acknowledge the error or apologize. Instead she made it seem like I made the scheduling mix up. She also spoke in an off-putting and annoyed tone. Remember a place should never blame their customers. No effort was made to try fit me in (there were only three other people total in the place at the time) or at least provide me any type of make good (free manicure, attempt to fit me in tomorrow). Additionally, paint nail bar had cancelled my sisters appointment for earlier that day. The woman was also very rude to her on the phone. I went here for their lickety-split manicure as I was pinched for time that current day. While the staff members were extremely kind and accommodating, I don't think I'll be getting that service again. My nail technician didn't arrive at the salon until 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, which would not have been an issue if it wasn't for choosing a service that's marketed to be 25 minutes. I understand the service I chose was not a spa-like option, but I left with my cuticles not cut down at all and dry and flaky fingertips. For being at the salon for an hour and still paying a decent amount of money, I'd expect a better outcome. The space was very clean and the covid precautions were top notch. My gel manicure was great so no complaints there. I knocked off a star because I asked for a French manicure and my technician said she wasn't certified in that. I've never had a technician that couldnt do that so I thought that was very odd. I also thought the hand massage was pitiful. It was maybe 15 seconds on each side and no pressure. For the price you pay for a manicure here I expected a nice long hand/arm massage. Most of all it is "eat off the floor" clean and the staff is very professional and friendly. The salon is beautiful. Staff are extremely welcoming and kind, and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable when you arrive. Also, love that the salon is non-toxic. I had a gel manicure done 1 week ago that was very simple and has help up fairly nicely, given how much I use my hands and have to sanitize (work at a hospital). The salon courtesy called me 6 days after my appointment to see how my gel was holding up, and ironically my thumbnail had just chipped that day. They offered to bring me in next day to touch up the chipped nail at no extra charge. Terrible experience. Both daughters had appointments the same day. First was cancelled because nail technician did not show up. Second went for later appointment and was rudely told her appointment was the following week (it wasn't). No offer to squeeze either in even if it meant staying open later. No offer to provide complimentary service even though the salon was in error in both cases. Salon requires credit card with 24 hour cancellation policy. This place just opened about 1.5 weeks ago and is awesome! I had the uptown mani/pedi with Kristy and she was amazing. I felt so pampered, I was offered drinks, pillows, blankets and checked on multiple times. The place is sanitary and does not reek of fumes like other salons do. They also use a great quick dry minimally toxic polish that made the experience that much better. Really happy with my service!
