Noticed they take walk-ins, thank goodness! I was in the area for my friends wedding and needed my nails done. I stopped in and the prices are amazing compared to Hoboken lol. $50 for tips plus French powder dip nails! My tech was very nice. She made sure I liked the length and the shape. She made sure I liked the French tip white to pink too. She also asked if I wanted bright white and light pink or dark pink. I chose bright white and light pink. Overall from start to finish it was almost an hour. She did a great job. She finished by adding strawberry scented cuticle oil on my cuticles. It smelled so good! My only complaint is that 3 days later, my hair is catching on the back of some of the nails near my cuticle. These will not last a month. :( But they look great! read more

Only because my regular salon was booked full, I walked in for a fill- I asked if I could get a v-cut French and the man said " ask her" and pointed to a woman in the midst of a pedicure on a client. I walked over to her, interrupting, and asked if she could do a v-cut French fill and showed her a picture. She said "no, that requires a special brush and I don't have time for that". So, only because I was desperate for a fill, I settled for a solid color fill with a very nice gentleman nail tech. Extremely poor customer service from the moment I walked the door - and this is not the first time. They make you feel like you're inconveniencing them rather than giving them business. This is a great family-run, local nail salon that has been in Oakmont for over 10 years. I have been coming here since they opened and they always do a great job. The prices are reasonable too, I got a powder dip manicure with tips for $55. The environment is very casual and the staff and clients were very friendly. I didn't have an appointment and walked in on Saturday morning at 11am, they were able to accommodate me without me waiting. They open at 10am and I recommend going early before they fill up. read more

I've been here twice now - once for a pedicure and once for a gel mani. I really WANT to like this place because it's in a really great location for me, but I just can't. The good: They are very kind and polite. The first time I came, I had an appointment and had no wait time. The second time, I was a walk-in and only waited 5 minutes or so. Prices are fair. Pedicure had good balance of grooming and massage/relaxation. Lots of polish colors to choose from. Comfy chairs. The paint job on my gel mani was perfect. The not-so-good: The paint job on my toes was horrible - very messy, smudged, and edges were not painted. Top coat was of poor quality and only lasted a few days. After soaking my gel off, instead of using a tool, the manicurist used her own fingernails to scrape/pick at the remaining polish. Also, on both occasions, unclean tools were used. For my pedicure, the tech actually wiped off someone else's "leftovers" before using the cuticle clippers on me. For the mani, she (a different person) pulled her tools out of a box filled with unclean paper towels. It's only a matter of time before someone gets an infection here. I would not recommend. read more

Great service. I went for a pedicure and gel manicure this morning and had a lovely experience. The decor isn't anything to write home about, but the service is great. The pedicure massage chairs are decadent (and offer a nicer massage than some), and the young woman who did my pedi was quick and had my toes and hands done in less than 1 hour, which was welcome. I've had some other local places take nearly 2 hours to finish! Prices are comparable with other lower price shops. The hygiene was good, and I appreciated that they rinsed the pedicure basin out in front of me between customers. The Mani was lovely and the manicurist was detail oriented. I am shocked by the less-than-stellar reviews I've read here about what I consider to be the best nail salon in the area. John and Tham, the owners, always make sure I get exactly what I need and want and make sure that their pricing is fair, upfront and appropriate to the services rendered. After trying 4 other locations for nail services in both Oakmont and Verona, I have to say that I've never felt as though I was treated better or provided with better nail service anywhere. In fact, the two places I tried in Verona were visibly dirty, in need of an interior facelift and and in desperate need of friendlier staff. The two locations I tried elsewhere in Oakmont were overpriced. I am especially taken aback by the reviewer who claimed John was inappropriately flirting with a teenager. That's just an unfair ad hominem attack on the character of a man she neither knows nor understands. If you have a problem with customer service that is fine. She didn't like waiting for her nails to be done. To try to smear a man's personal good name is inexcusable. His wife works alongside him. I've known them for years and they have a great, fun relationship. And they both joke with their longtime clients. I'm very sorry if you don't understand when service providers and their clients are also family friends. I highly recommend this nail salon. They build positive relationships with their clients and I promise that the review of the impatient woman who felt slighted because she was asked to wait for service does not speak for the hundreds of clients who've faithfully visited John and his family for years. read more

I don't go get manicures often, but if I do, i go to Royal nails. They are fast and efficient. I am not a very specific client when asked about exactly what I want. I trust that professionals will do their thing and Royal Nails is always on point. I walked in with no appointment at about 2:30 and had no wait whereas not even 10 minutes later, there were about 5 people waiting, some with appointments and some without. I would suggest an appointment if you can't make it at some obscure time. Reasonably priced, clean and nice company. read more

Decided to stop in after work to get a pedicure. I was just a walk-in but the place was not busy at all. This was the fastest pedicure I ever had! I think the total time between me sitting down in the chair and walking over to the place where my feet could dry was a total of maybe 20-25 minutes. I hardly had any soaking time, and then it was a fast rub of my calves and feet. The warm towel was just draped over both legs and kept sliding down..the nail lady just giggled. After getting home and actually looking at my toes, I was very disappointed to find that my big toe nails were cut at an angle, the other toes cut extremely short, except for the baby toe nail on my right foot... I don't think it was even touched because it is sticking up higher than any other toenail on both feet. This was a waste of my time and money. read more

I go to Royal mainly for pedicures. I never make an appointment and nearly always get immediate service. The basic pedicure up through callous removal services are inexpensive compared to other salons. The pedicure area also features nice passage chairs. I have been to other salons in the area and do not bother with anyone other than Royal now. The staff at Royal are friendly and welcoming. They have a very clearly family environment and take pride in the cleanliness of their salon. I would go here 10 out of 10 times! read more

I was however really disappointed as my gel manicure starting peeling after 5 days. I went back to have them take it off no apologies AND they wanted to charge me 10$ just for taking off the gel!! Worst service I have ever had. For the cost of the pedicure they put no time or effort into it at all. Then I went to get my acrylics removed and have manicure and the guy there cut my nails and went and helped this 19 y/o girl and completely forgot/ ignored me because he was too busy flirting with her and telling her that her stepmom was "Hot" while asking about her sisters. Finally when I spoke up he said yea I will get to you in about 5 more minutes then went back to flirting with this TEEN might I add. Eventually one of the other staff came over to finish taking off my nails and then asked if I was still going to do the manicure like it would be a burden. Inconsistent and overpriced for quality of work. The first time I went for a gel manicure, a woman painted about 5 coats on my nails. The 2nd time, a man painted two coats, there was bubbling on the nail and a strand of residual cotton ball left which was painted over. I commented on the poor work and the man blamed it on the type of nail polish. I paid, tipped 20% and left and will not be returning. Would not suggest. read more

Not a bad experience at all but a little less than what I was expecting. Overall, I was greeted and felt welcome. I was told a 10-15 min wait but it was less than that. I received a pedi from the older lady, she was kind but not chit-chatty and when she spoke I had a bit of a time understanding her. I came in with the color of black on my toes and chose a bright fuchsia for spring. When she removed the polish she left a good bit around the edges of my nails. My toes looked like I had dirt around them. I will have to scrub them the best I can in the next couple of days to make them look fresh and bright. The prices are decent (typical) for salons. Cleanliness was not the best. I am used to a lining being placed in the tub for sanitary purposes, but they did not use them as far as I could tell. I tipped a bit more than I should have but that was my fault for not having anything less than $10 cash on me. Overall, they were nice and efficient. I would go back! read more

I came into this salon seeking a full set of long dramatic acrylics with a unique paint job. The salon was empty so I thought great we can both take our time and have a nice experience. Neither nail tech looked very interested in my being there. Like they were annoyed. After 10 minutes of looking at polishes (most of which were old and/or half opened) the lady informed me she had an appointment very soon. This did not leave enough time for what I wanted (Long crazy painted fake nails) and I dont want you bouncing back and forth between clients so how about you lead with that information? I was a walk in, I get it. I'm a hairstylist I know how this business works. I offered to come back later and ended up making an appointment for a later date. They didnt ask for my name or my number or exactly what I wanted so how could they properly prepare? I'm just confused. I'm new to town and looking for a new nail salon. I'm a great, easy to please loyal customer but I feel like they didnt want my business. I'm sad. All I want is a unique well done set of acrylics that I'm willing to pay top dollar for. I'm a great tipper too. I will update after I actually get my nails done here. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. It happens to all of us. This is my go to place for a mani and pedi. It is a family run business and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. I normally call for an appointment a day or two ahead and they always squeeze me in. Additionally, since I make an appointment, I have never had to wait at all. Their pricing is moderate but you get high quality nail products which would be pricier somewhere else.
