I didn't get my nails done myself but Adaline gave her 10 stars! She feels much better about starting kindergarten next week. Leha was very nice and made this trouble maker feel very comfortable and made sure she had fun. I could probably use a little TLC next time. Leha is phenomenal. As a new resident of the LBC, I found her in a Google search. Her consistently good reviews are not fabricated or exaggerated...she's the real deal! I went in for a gel manicure on my natural nails, but she suggested acrylic tips with powder dip. It wasn't cheap ($50), but it was worth every penny. It was my first time ever getting artificial nails, but she did such a great job, one can't tell they're not real (wish I had a before pic). Leha takes her time, so I don't recommend soliciting her services if you're in a rush. She is funny, engaging, and energetic, and gave me one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. BAD SERVICE. Terrible older lady. Very rude. Does not do a good job and would not recommend. I have gave her multiple chances and she's either falling asleep, making you feel obligated to keep her awake by coversating with her and then blame you for her hurting/cutting you with the nail drill. Nails do not last, I have to come back multiple times for her to fix my nails. When you tell her anything she screams at you and makes you feel very uncomfortable, she will tell you "THIS IS JUST THE WAY I TALK" and she will blame you instead of blaming herself. No one likes to be screamed at like that, especially while pregnant. This all has happened multiple times and I thought maybe she just had a bad day but this is just the way she is... Today I've had enough. NEVER coming back here. Please do not come here. She will argue with you and she will take at least 2 and half hours to do the simplest, shortest nails. Leha runs a small operation within a small hair salon, she's the only manicurist. If you're used to Elizabeth Arden Red Door, this is not the place for you. There is no ambiance and the space is a bit cramped. But Leha did a nice job, and even 1 week later, my nails looks great, even after several trips to the beach. Maybe mine was an isolated experience, but nevertheless, it was my experience, and it was regrettable and u must be warned. I scheduled a gel mani/pedi, based upon Yelp reviews(huge mistake, damn u, Yelp !). But in Yelp's defense, the reviews are dated, and I chose to roll with it, assuming Leha had a steady clientele--- sign me up! The place is cute, quaint, good location, and exactly the reason why I support small business. I'm new to the area and chose this place based on ratings, location, and business type...however, I should have paid attention to the red flags before walking out. See below: 1) She wrapped my nails(standard for gel removal, no biggie), but left them on for the duration of my pedi---1 hr & 15 minutes. My finger tips sat, wrapped in acetone and cotton for over an hour, for the duration of my pedi. Not cool. Fingertips were pruned and dried out, upon removal. p.s. Never have my nails soaked for more than 15-20 minutes max. Mind you, she did tell me at the end of the prep, that my pedi(before I knew that I would be frying) would be $30. Not a problem. A-ok, for a good pedi. But I had no idea what I was in store for. 2) As I sat and fried my fingers, in the "spa chair" for my pedi. (Mind u, I work 50+ hours a week, and live for this bi-weekly experience, so trust me, I have no problem paying for it.) The much anticipated massage chair was non-existant. Literally. THE MOST GENERIC CHAIR IN LIFE. There is no roller, and the vibration, which was the only movement that I could actually feel was annoying at best. But I hung in there! I'm not a jerk, and I will forgo frills for quality. Just make me look preeettttttty. 3) Everything appeared to be standard, absolutely nothing speacial, (fyi- drill used on callus removal-worthy of notation, as this is gross and highly unsanitary,) but I don't suck, and so we are on to the good part---the foot massage. Bring it home, mama! But this was the kicker for me. Leha was literally nodding out. I thought maybe it was just a quick nod, as that happens to the best of us at work, but she continued to nod out on the other foot, to the point where she had to stop the pedi and get a piece of gum, so that she could stay awake and finish the job. At this point, I was actually concerned for her. Is she ok? Is she on medication that makes her drowsy? Who knows? Really?But she kept at it, like a regular day. So still, I rocked with it---hesitantly. 4) Then came the polish---and the coup de grâce. Never in my 20+ years of nail service have I EVER had a nail tech paint my toe nails, get nail polish all over the skin and sides of the nail, and have a cup of acetone to clean up the mess ---AFTER EVERY TOE. WHATTTT?!?!? Who does this???? Yes, clean up the spots that have been left after the 1st two coats before the top coat, no worries. But, literally after EVERY. SINGLE. TOE. ON. BOTH. COATS. This is why the pedi was an hour and fifteen. Because it wasn't for the attention to detail, or extra massage , that is for damn sure. What the hellll?!?!?! Who does that? It was awful. She literally painted my TOE, with zero disregard, knowing that she was going to clean it up, after the fact. SERIOUSLY? Who has that kind of time? I don't. That's what I used to do when I gave myself my own pedi, and cleaned up the mess in the shower the day after, at 15 years old before I could afford a pedi. Excuse me?! Clearly this was the last straw. UN-BE-LIEVABLE. NEVER AGAIN . Please note that I feel absolutely horrible for writing this review, andI truly feel bad for another person on their day off, such as myself, hoping to have an enjoyable relaxing experience, and will in turn waste their time and money here. Leha, although you may have cool "powder nails" that you tried to sell me on for $45 a set before I walked out of there with bare nails. Your nail game is completely unacceptable. You are a very nice lady, and I liked you, however, this was hands down a complete waste of my time, money, and patience. Time & money being the biggest factors. Money is trivial, but quality and time I will compromise. Whoever your clientele is, I hope you are grateful for them, and keep them close, because for the rest of us, I strongly advise going elsewhere. There is no other option. Good luck . read more

It's difficult to take someone else's work and make it your own but like a true artist, Leha worked her magic on my nails. She took something awful and turned it into a beautiful masterpiece.
