I waited on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, only to be placed back on hold again and again. When I finally reached someone, the interaction was cold, short, and dismissive. I couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I understand pharmacies can be overwhelmed, and I want to acknowledge that Grace may have been under a lot of pressure with many orders to fulfill. That said, customer service is still a core part of the job, and in this case it was exceptionally poor. There was no empathy, no patience, and no effort to be even minimally helpful. Even if this pharmacy had the best prices around, it would honestly pain me to do business here again. Feeling rushed off the phone and treated like an inconvenience is not acceptable--especially in a healthcare setting where people are often already stressed or unwell. There was no pharmacy avail in Beaverton and near the vicinity that day that was able to help this patient out - except for this pharmacy! The location is at a neighborhood that is still growing with new homes, so it will get busier and has been for that reason also. I'm just grateful we have this pharmacy for our convenience, location and hours wise.

There's no sense that they're truly conscious or if they're in a collective fugue state where their bodies function, but the brains aren't processing information correctly. Just as an example, I went there yesterday for some cough syrup and found that the few employees were much too occupied wandering around to help with the giant line. And the one line had some lady there who had taken so long she sat down while the cashier read aloud to her the prices of every lighter behind the counter. I walked over to the register, put the cough syrup down to leave. As I left, I asked the young security dude if there was a manager who worked there. I was curious if anyone was in charge or if this was some kind of elaborate Andy Kaufman-style comedy bit designed to make people lose their minds. I didn't actually say that, but when I asked if a manager or supervisor works there, he reacted as if it's the first time the words of another human being had entered his ears. The confusion and bewilderment on his face filled my heart with great sadness for the future of the human race. Long story short: this Walgreens will be joining New Seasons on my boycott list. It's truly one of earths most cursed physical locations.
