I wanted to wait a few days before making this review. On Sunday I got a long coffin gel set with gems at Hot Nails by the nail tech there who's name is Amber Tran. Her Instagram has photos of gorgeous sets that she's done if you wanna look for yourself @Ambertran2612. Today, almost a wk later, the gems are all still there and my nails still look flawless and absolutely stunning! They match with all my outfits which is definitely a plus. This nail salon is a family ran and owned business. They are the latest ones open on Sunday in the area and will stay later than normal if they know you need em! I felt welcomed and relaxed for my apt and am happy to have found a place who can do a versatile and broad range of nail designs. French tip less than half an inch with a little line of red underneath is $71 worst place ever will cut your fingers up and rush everything no matter how much money you give them no tip btw. So I went back and the lady fixed the 5 broken nails..... now here it is not even another 48 hours later and 2 of the same nails she just replaced have once again popped right off. NEVER AGAIN! Just moved here from Vegas and I definitely have found my new nail place! I am pretty picky about my nails and I also have nail beds that flip upward and a lot of the times nail technicians can't make my nails look right and they look like ski slopes or like a weird crazy 90° angle, anyways the nail tech did the best job I've had in a LONG time. Definitely since my last nail tech in Vegas. I've gone to a couple other nail salons around here and was not happy at all with the results. The environment is clean, comfy, cute, welcoming and all the workers were very kind. The technician was really listening to what I wanted. The pricing is perfect and they don't try to sneak in extra charges on you- they are completely up front, which I LOVE also because I feel like a lot of nail places aren't entirely honest, they'll tell you one price and then by the end of your service it's like $20 more or something. I came to this salon before and stopped because they filed a hole through my natural nail with a dermal nail file. I came in today because I tore a nail off and very few salons are open on Sundays anymore. I called ahead and asked if they had time, they said they did, but then when I arrived I had to wait 30 mins to get seen. Well, I should have know better! She cut me with the dermal, made my finger bleed. Then when I pointed out that my nails were not the same shape and length, she argued with me, I said "fine" and let her keep going...then 30 seconds before my nails were done...she stopped what she was doing so that she could make a personal call on her cell phone, on speaker phone. All in all I will not be back and will probably be making any appointment somewhere else, later this week to have them fixed. read more

I don't like to give bad reviews but this time I'm afraid that I have to.. I walked in today to get my acrylic nails off. The lady drilled off the color then started removing the nails dry and with her flat tool to pull them off of my natural nails. After she did the first one I asked her "don't you use acetone to remove them?" She said "no this is easy" so I thought that I was being picky. She goes on, pokes my under-nail skin, aggressively trying to take them off and having difficulty but still doesn't care to change her painful method. My pinky nail bled a little bit under the nail and she didn't say anything she was trying not to make me see it. She would intend to cut the nail but she would reach to my skin instead and didn't even fix it she left the skin hanging. After removing them, she filed my nails unevenly and applied Nail Envy, and she would check if it dried out by touching the nails. Like I could've done that at home instead of paying money for it. And she took an hour to just remove fake nails. The whole experience was a hot mess, nothing was gentle or professional plus all her tools were not clean, including her own nails. She was friendly but I'm sorry that's not enough for her kind of business. read more

I went here on Saturday after calling around town for prices. $37 for mani/pedi. First off I'm giving it 2 stars because all of the staff was friendly and accommodating. It really bums me out to have to talk about the quality but it is what it is. These were not things that I could see in the store due to lighting and I noticed only after I left and got home. I paid $10 extra to have gel on my manicure so the polish would last longer. It took a long time and I was told it was due to the color they had to apply extra coats. When I got in to natural light I noticed a ripple effect on some of nails. I also noticed the old polish I had on hadn't been completely removed from my nails in the cuticle areas. It's now Monday, I had a pretty chill couple of days after and did nothing to warrant chips already but they're there. I've had store brand polish last longer, unfortunately. I really wanted to like this place because like I said they were all friendly. Also, I had other people with me and we all compared what services were done to us during each mani/pedi and it seemed that none of us got the same services even though we all chose the same. read more

I don't like giving negative reviews.....but, sadly, I feel I have no choice here. I was looking for a nail salon closer to my home to keep my new set of acrylics filled. I looked on Yelp and found 4 in close proximity that got decent reviews. I went to one and saw through the window that they looked busy so I drove down the road to Hot Nails. A bit of a hole in the wall, I walked in without an appointment last Thursday afternoon. A nail tech asked how she could help me and I said that I needed a fill and would also like a pedicure. Now I wish I hadn't asked for either. :-( 1st came the fill: a young, stylish looking woman was told to do the fill. I've had acrylics off and on for 25 years so I've had many, many fills and NEVER IN MY LIFE have I had anyone work in such a rushed fashion! Halfway through it I thought to myself, "is she trying to hurry so she can take an appointment that is coming in perhaps?" (low and behold a client did come in during my fill for a scheduled facial and she took off as fast as she could from me to attend to her). I had a small but obvious chip at the corner of one thumb and she took no notice of it, didn't bother to fill it (would have been easy) and instead filed it off during her hurried process. When she filed/shaped the ends of my nails she simply filed it off so that the square shape of my nails, that I told her I like, had to be obviously rounded in on that one side making it look very uneven. During my pedi, I kept examining it, asking myself if I was being overly picky. I decided that I was not; I was a paying customer, after all. I didn't even have her paint them (I do that at home) so the least she could do was to fix this nail. At the end of the pedi, I showed the nail to that tech and asked her if she could fix it since the first tech was still with her facial. She was very kind and seemed to understand what I didn't like. She took me to her station and proceeded to add acrylic to the corner of the nail to build it up so it could be filed to more of a squared corner. As she started to file, the first tech came out. They spoke in their language and the first tech seemed perturbed by my complaint. She took over and began to file away quickly. When she shaped the end of the nail, she vigorously went back and forth until I said, "umm, that's short enough!" to which she impatiently told me that she was just making it even. Her hostility toward me during this whole process was obvious and I wasn't being rude or difficult. When I got in my car and compared it with the other thumb I indeed found it to be shorter; actually shorter than any other nail on my hand! As for the pedicure: thankfully, the woman who did the pedi had a sweet demeanor, with a lovely smile and did an ok job but I've never had one so basic and they offer no others. It had been 4 months since my last one and my feet needed some attention yet everything, except for the leg massage, was done quickly (not thoroughly). I was sad that there was no scrub (I had been looking forward to some leg exfoliation) and the products used (even the lotion) seemingly had no fragrance. Nothing wrong with it, per se, but just "meh".....and, definitely not worth $22 plus tip. Hot Nails turned out to be a "Hot Mess" for me. read more

In all honesty I'm not one to complain. We came in and asked for a "delux" pedicure. What did we get? Our nails painted and clipped, some green lotion. While the other woman next to us got everything we asked for. This was the 2nd time this has happened, the first time we thought we messed up somehow so we didn't say anything but literarily this time was worse. After we asked about the delux she said "you don't need it". But sure as hell paid for it. $40 for a terrible job. My mom asked for a flower on her nails... The woman not only did it rushed but my young 6 year old daughter could have done better. The woman next to us? Took them 30 min to do her nails. Us? 15 min? FAST AND GREAT JOB! :) I wasn't happy with getting em done by someone else on Thursday last wk 12-31-15, one broke on sat, one broke on sun... I called T-An today, mon 1-4-16, and she said come in today n she completely redo for free!!! And she did redo em, FOR FREE... File em down, change color, the powder acrylic....
