The first time I came in I was looking for someone to fix what another salon had messed up - they not only fixed it but did it basically for free! That was over a year ago and I haven't been to anyone else since. They consistently do a great job - I never feel like they are rushing through and my nails always look fantastic. The two stars are for the nice couple. I've been here before without any huge issues. This time, unfortunately I had an older woman do my pedicure. The worst ever. I still can't understand why I was even charged. It was so bad, the gentleman came to TRY to clean up the mess. My toenails were cut with cuticle scissors and not well, painfully short and choppy. Yeah, I like them short but they literally hurt. The gentleman came to file them down he knew it was awful. I was apologized to a few times. I'm honestly not sure sure what the hell I paid for ???? It's going to be 2-3 WEEKS before they MIGHT be grown enough to fix. I didn't tip - I alway tip. This was an awful experience & no I wouldn't go back. read more

The worst nails I've ever had... They are so sweet there, and I felt terrible but the person that did my nails was not good at all. He was a younger guy. I went back for a refund or for the owner to do them, and still not to my satisfaction. they are terrible. I look like I just went to somebody who just started doing nails do not go here if you're looking for an acrylic set. I have been going to D Nails for routine pedicures for several years after trying several other nail salons. Once I experienced the great care at D Nails, I stopped searching and have remained loyal to them even after moving farther away. Everyone there is very kind, professional, and have consistently done a great job in taking care of my toenails, which have challenges after 4 foot surgeries and require professional care. Those at D Nails keep my nails healthily pain-free and as as lovely as possible. I also choose them occasionally to "treat" myself to a professional manicure. I'm always well pleased and grateful. The one star is for the people who work there that are nice. The nail quality is not good at all. The fill for my nails took 2.5 hours and $50, At first glance nails looks good, when I got home and looked at my nails the cuticles are flooded with gel nail polish, overnight the gel polish turned wavy, my mom also got a full set with them. She woke up this morning with a huge infection on her finger. Around the nail it swelled up and had pus leaking out. I 10/10 do not recommend this place. Really disappointed. read more

This has become my favorite place for a mani or pedi in Vancouver. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and I'm always happy with my results. The best part is that every tool comes to me new or sealed from the autoclave. I have no worries about germs or contamination from other customers. I'm very hesitant about trying new nail places, especially when there are so few reviews. But we're visiting family here in Vancouver and I needed a gel pedicure for an upcoming beach trip. My sister-in-law and I tried this place and we loved it. I understand why the other reviews have clients coming from Portland to see Dong and his wife. Friendly service, sterile tools (opened right in front of you), and quality massage and exfoliation. I have very sensitive legs and typical nail salon massages are borderline painful. But this place was perfect. My sister-in-law who lives locally will be coming here often now, and I will be coming back every time we're in town. I will be coming back in a couple days to do a gel manicure (normally I wouldn't trust a nail salon with my nails and I do them myself, but I would trust this salon). I have never had a better set. Treng perfectly shaped the nails, and meticulously painted them. There was no over hang on my cuticles and I could no believe how beautiful they looked before the polish even went on. Super affordable. Friendly service. I met them working at their sister shop (which is 5 minutes from my house) so I have a local shop in case I ever have a nail emergency & I haven't gone their yet! The whole family does great work. Had to ask the guy there to cut my nails down like 3 times because he seemed like he didn't want to do much to my nails besides file them. And the polish job wasn't very good either. Poor job! they took 2 hours to do my nails and I was only doing a fill and they still came out bad you would think they would be perfect for the amount of time I sat there, they came out crooked and not a perfectly shaped they left a lot of polish around my nails and and on the back.
