I had a great experience here! It's not a super extravagant or fancy spot, but that's not something I personally mind. I believe the woman working on my service me was new, so it took a lot longer than expected for a pedi and full set, and I did have to ask for some changes. However, she was very kind and open about it. I've had problems speaking up at salons due to reactions of the workers, but the woman was very kind and even apologetic! The owner was also such a kind woman, and very helpful! My partner and I came for our anniversary and we were the only two in the whole place. Pricing was pretty average/on the expensive side. I would probably come back here for another pedicure read more

I love this place. It's a small hole in the wall. The lady who runs this place is amazing . She was so sweet and was very detail oriented. She did amazing with my daughter and I's nails . It's hard finding good people in this industry but she did great . She put flowers on my daughter's nails who is 5 ( and most nail techs ignore) she made her feel like a human not just a child. It's not as "fancy" as some of the other places but she was so thoughtful, took her time but was efficient, and was not trying to constantly push an upgrade. One star for this place and I would give it zero if I could. I had to go in today to let them know (which I did at the time too but didn't realize how severe it was til I got home). The woman who did my mani/pedi not only took a long time (over 2 hours) but she skinned me pretty much. She was so rough with the nail file and I'm pretty sure she took off more skin then nails. I don't know why she had to be so rough but I told her twice after I grimaced through most of the mani/pedi. She did apologize but they didn't want to do anything really about it. And honestly a refund was the least they could do. My fingers hurt so bad I can't do anything with that hand comfortably right now. And this is about 3 days later I still . I had debated going in but I've never had this happen. And honestly she needs to know not to be so rough in the future. The low rating is also for the manager getting pissy at me for wanting a refund and not apologizing himself. He said that sometimes nails get stuck and then also said he didn't know what I did for a couple days? She was really rough, which I even told her. Like what am I going to do right under my nails in that time frame? Please.... I will not return here. Which is a bummer because the prices were reasonable, but coming home with cuts is not okay. Also I felt there was bits of detail missing (I did dip and at my cuticles they are really uneven). With the pampered manicure, she also spent less than 2 minutes massaging my arms. read more

The best nail salon in Vancouver. I didn't have an appointment and I was welcomed right as I got in, walk ins and appointments are available. The nail salon was highly clean, and many parking spots available. The service is wonderful, better than any nail salons nearby. The nail tech who did my nail is the owner herself, Holly. She's very nice and made sure I was comfortable while she did my nails. I also got a pedicure as well, and she included a massage which was very relaxing and well needed. I would highly recommend anyone to come get their nails done here. My new spot for sure! Especially if I need to get my nails done last minute. read more

I was living temporarily in Vancouver and this place was great. I did shellac with them a number of times, and once did the Dipping powder. Did some designs and jewels as well. Pricing is very reasonable. I had fake nails 20 years ago and now remember why I stopped...I stubbed my finger on a box and damaged a nail pretty bad. Midlife crisis and I decided I wanted a change. I went back in and they were able to clean and doctor it up. Totally trust them and would go there if back in the Couv! read more

The reviews are accurate. Came here for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. My nail technician - I believe the owner - took her time doing both my pedicure and manicure. She used hot stones on my legs for the massage, I've never had that at any other standard nail salon. And she was meticulous with every layer of nail polish. I even changed my mind last minute to do gel polish and she was very flexible with me. I'm so happy I have a new go to nail spot that's close to home! read more

I needed to get my nails done before work and didnt feel like going back into Portland. I had a full set of acrylics on and a broken nail. I didnt catch her name but the nail tech did an amazing job removing my acrylics without damaging my nails. She was so gentle and really took her time making sure my natural nail was in good shape before she started my gel manicure. Then she gave me a perfect classic French manicure. The shop is very clean, and I am super happy with my manicure! I will definitely come here again next time I am looking to get my nails done in Vancouver. read more

My powder dip manicure was very low quality and lasted only a few days instead of the usual 2-3 weeks. First, he filed down my natural nails with the dreamer until they were paper thin - I understand a little filing/drilling is necessary, but he WAY overdid it. He also did not push back or trim my cuticles at all, which kind of takes away from the manicure experience and also caused my nails to look grown out after only a couple days. The nails themselves were much thicker and uneven looking than I've ever experience with a powder dip. Last and least, I had different nails chip on days 3, 5 and 6. What!!! Granted I'm not the most graceful and ladylike person, but I've NEVER had that happen with 7 different powder dip manicures from 2 other salons, worn for up to 4 weeks! Will not be back. read more

I just found this gem based on the Yelp reviews. It's a small, family operated salon which is nice to not have a crazy, busy environment if you want to relax. They have the paraffin wax and hot stone included in the $25 pedicure! They are so detailed and did a great job! Since they are so detailed, they do move at a slow pace and there's only 2 people working, so I'd recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere to relax and not if you're in a hurry. read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that deter you. Spa chairs are nice/in good shape/worked, it looked clean inside & bottled water was offered. I just moved here and i LOVE this spot! When it comes to getting my nails done, attention to detail is everything. I haven't gotten any manicures from this place yet, but the pedicures are amazing. Both the mother and daughter are so precise with the polish, and my toe nails are quite small. They take their time cleaning your cuticles, hang nails, etc. Hot wax, scrub & hot stone are all included in the price. They are usually playing America's Got Talent on the TV which I actually enjoy. ****UPDATED REVIEW**** Came here for my second time, and it still was a wonderful experience. I walked in and only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. The male worker did my nails (and he did the first time too) and he does amazing work. He really takes his time and makes your nails look flawless! The only bad thing was I had picked out an entirely different color and he had already painted one hand with the wrong color and I'm too nice to say something. It's not exactly my first choice of color but he did such a good job that I ended up really liking it. Price went up since I was last there- manicure + gel shellac is $25. Still not bad and well worth the money. Will continue coming back :) Just came here for the first time today and I gotta say, this place is amazing! I was greeted and seated as soon as I walked through the door. I got a gel mani for only $22 which is really affordable! Im not one to get mani's often, so my nails needed a lot of work. They took their time and made my nails look amazing! The gel looks awesome and they offered free water bottles. Will most definitely be back, highly recommend! read more

I wanted to find another salon after a year at Lavish Nails which I felt was lacking attention to detail (not painting the tips of nail, nails varying shapes and lengths, even after I pointed it out) and rushing me through. Found my new nail spot! I called as soon as they opened and was able to get in that day. I needed a full set with a pedi. I love how it turned out! He was the only one in Tuesday morning. After someone came in as a walk in they let them know what time to come back. I was nervous he was going to leave my mani and run to get a pedi going for another customer, which usually always happens. Everything about the experience was ok except later on the same day I had got my nails done by 205 they had started breaking off without very much pressure applied. The gel had also began peeling. I had called the nail place and left them a voicemail about what had happened and that I would like them replaced but I never received a call back. read more

Wow, this place is amazing. I have been seeing Lee since I moved here in July 2018, and he does the best dipped nails. But the best thing about this place is they actually KEEP their appointments. How many times have you made an appointment at your old nail salon, only to show up and have to wait anywhere from 15 minutes to even an hour, because they don't want to turn business away. But 205 Nails does just that. They get plenty of walk-ins and they turn potential customers away because they don't have the time.m because they're already booked up. It's so refreshing! My time is important, and I plan my day out. I really appreciate that when I make an appointment, I can count on NOT having to wait. Ever. I love 205 Nails. Let me start by saying that everyone was kind and friendly, but unfortunately the quality of our nails didn't match the price. I specifically scheduled and requested a complete Gel-X removal with a fresh builder gel application on my natural nails. I also noted this in the online appointment request. Instead, a builder fill was done over my existing product. My daughter had builder gel with tips applied. Her nails turned out better than mine overall, although one nail was noticeably longer than the others. We both requested cat-eye nails, but we were never asked which cat-eye style we wanted. The salon had a sample with a heart cat-eye effect that I asked about, but was told they couldn't do it. We ended up with different-looking cat-eye effects and not the look we were expecting. My builder gel has multiple quality issues, including incomplete polish coverage near the cuticle and sidewalls, visible bumps or debris under the finish, uneven thickness, and shaping that flares wider toward the tips on some nails. The finish also immediately looks like several days of grow-out because the polish wasn't applied close to the cuticle. We paid $200 for both my daughter and I, which included a 20% tip. For that price, I expected much better attention to detail. The technicians were pleasant throughout the appointment, but unfortunately the workmanship means we won't be returning.

I came in on September 24th, 2025 specifically asking for an all over brown color over my blonde highlights. I showed an inspiration pic of a darker brown than my original root grow out with a tinge of red glaze shining through over the top of the hair. After 4 hours of filling my hair with a red, washing, drying, applying permanent color, waiting, washing, drying again. I came out RED. Yes, dark Merlot red. That is not what I asked for. I called as soon as I got home, seeing how it's not what I asked for and in the sun I am shining red, they told me the soonest date to fix it was a week out. I couldn't wait that long so I messaged a professional hair stylist and she told me to ask what they used on my hair to understand how to go about fixing my hair. I proceeded to call elite again and on the call the instructor told me they don't give out the formulas but they can get me in sooner to "fix" my hair free of charge and that it will be much quicker than yesterday after I voiced my concern about being home quickly because I have a child. I said okay and the next morning on September 25th I was at Elite to fix it. I arrive at 9:30 in the morning and speak with the instructor at Elite and the student who did my hair. They explain to me that everyone's hair takes things differently, explain the science behind it, etc and I told them I understand. The instructor told me she sees how's it's red and that she wasn't able to check in at the end of the service that day because she was out of office on an errand. I show the photo of my inspiration again and I ask "is it going to be still red after, will it be brown and not too dark?" I am told it will still be slightly red but it will definitely be a brown. Instructor told me I will be the same level that I was at and they would just be "neutralizing" the red. (I understand the red will still be in there, it wasn't a problem). The professional hair stylist I was speaking with messaged me to say "If they use a color remover on you & deposit a gloss to neutralize you i think it will be totally fine. Just make sure they dont just apply another color on top of that unless you dont mind being darker." Understanding this, I asked the elite instructor why can't we remove some red and then add color brown. Elite Instructor told me that they cannot remove the red since it's permanent. I asked repeatedly if it will be a brown and not black. I was again, REASSURED it would be the same level, and I'll just "feel" darker but that it would be brown how I wanted. After the 30 minute consult, the student starts applying 5N to my hair at 10am. After 3.5 HOURS of waiting, washing, and drying... my hair is now BLACK. Not brown, not a dark brown, literally pure black with red undertone.... It is NOT what I asked for and I was told nothing can be done about it that day, that I have to wait 2 weeks at least to reverse the color by BLEACHING if I wanted the BROWN I INITIALLY came in for. I'm told repeatedly by the student that she doesn't see black but a "dark rich chocolate brown". I'm not going to be gaslit into thinking my BLACK hair is brown. Learn the difference if you're working in a hair business. There was no sorry at all for ruining my hair and all the time wasted. I want a refund AND I urge everyone to just find a PROFESSIONAL to do it for you instead of wasting time and tears at this "Elite beauty school".

Let me start by saying that everyone was kind and friendly, but unfortunately the quality of our nails didn't match the price. I specifically scheduled and requested a complete Gel-X removal with a fresh builder gel application on my natural nails. I also noted this in the online appointment request. Instead, a builder fill was done over my existing product. My daughter had builder gel with tips applied. Her nails turned out better than mine overall, although one nail was noticeably longer than the others. We both requested cat-eye nails, but we were never asked which cat-eye style we wanted. The salon had a sample with a heart cat-eye effect that I asked about, but was told they couldn't do it. We ended up with different-looking cat-eye effects and not the look we were expecting. My builder gel has multiple quality issues, including incomplete polish coverage near the cuticle and sidewalls, visible bumps or debris under the finish, uneven thickness, and shaping that flares wider toward the tips on some nails. The finish also immediately looks like several days of grow-out because the polish wasn't applied close to the cuticle. We paid $200 for both my daughter and I, which included a 20% tip. For that price, I expected much better attention to detail. The technicians were pleasant throughout the appointment, but unfortunately the workmanship means we won't be returning.

However my updates specifically are focused on gel nails and nail art along with their policy and service. I got my mani with nail art on Dec. 20th. Just a few days after, my finger nail chipped horizontally. Two days later it broke off taking most of the nail and art with it. A few days after that, so around only 10 days after getting them, my middle finger paint and nail art lifted from the front, chipping off. On the same left hand. Two nails next to each other could be coincidence but to me indicates something wasn't properly applied. I called today (2 weeks after getting them done) and they said within a week they will fix for free and anything after that is on me. With the holidays I will agree ideally I would have called sooner but I was out of town so no way they could have fixed the two nails anyway. The front desk girl didn't seem to care much about thinking through the actual situation instead of just repeating someone told her while I was on hold. Bummer. In all my years of getting nails done I haven't had issues so quickly after a service and especially with any nail art up charges. But more importantly the way they responded to my call today confirms I will take my business and tons of my friends that I bring with me, elsewhere.
