Exceptionally Bad Customer Service -- A Truly Terrible Experience I had an extremely frustrating experience with this Walgreens pharmacy. I waited on hold for an unreasonable amount of time, only to be placed back on hold again and again. When I finally reached someone, the interaction was cold, short, and dismissive. I couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I understand pharmacies can be overwhelmed, and I want to acknowledge that Grace may have been under a lot of pressure with many orders to fulfill. That said, customer service is still a core part of the job, and in this case it was exceptionally poor. There was no empathy, no patience, and no effort to be even minimally helpful. Even if this pharmacy had the best prices around, it would honestly pain me to do business here again. Feeling rushed off the phone and treated like an inconvenience is not acceptable--especially in a healthcare setting where people are often already stressed or unwell. This experience left a very bad impression, and I would not recommend this location based on the level of customer service I received. read more

Walgreens in Salmon Creek is my favorite of all their stores. It's kept clean, convenient location, and plenty parking. They are usually stocked. I've used the store for prescriptions, advice from the pharmacy on cold medicine, buying food, gifts, toiletries. Overall it's a very convenient store. I really enjoy their seasonal aisle especially when they go on clearance. You can get interesting items for a great price. The employees are not always helpful or patient. I won't come here if I think I will need help (other than from the pharmacy, hence 4 stars instead of 3). read more

we pick up prescriptions twice monthly at the pharmacy on 139th On April 01 my Dr called in my prescription to them. Walgreens left a message that my prescriptions were ready. My assistant went and picked up on April 08 but only one was there.Usually everyone that works there is extremely nice. We give them Lindor chocolates, because of it! We checked with the pharmacy today and they said no prescriptions were in for me, so i recontacted my Dr. and then put the prescription back through the system. the person I spoke with said the prescription would be ready in 90 min went in 3 hours later and asked for prescription. The young man at the counter said no prescription. The heavy set, dark haired women sitting near him, with no name tag, says in snotty combative manner: "did u call and place an order?" Yes. Who did you speak to she asks?" A male pharmacist I say. "Well we have not had a male pharmacist here all day, You called our warehouse line" I said , I called the number on my prescription. Well she says, I've never dealt with you before, do we have your updated insurance.Did you get pre approval from Dr?" Yes he called it in on April 01...Yes,, I picked up another prescription last week. "Well i can have it tomorrow by 5" I say but I'm out.. do you want to order or not? well yes but my assistant isn't here tomorrow. Walgreens need to get rid of this nasty person. Totally rude does not deserve a job in the service industry. We will be switching to a new pharmacy! read more

Went in to buy supplements and it appeared all the brand i bought was buy one get one free.. but not one of the ones i had. I said they all say that back there .. then the long dark brown/ black curly haired girl popped off and said " clearly not" and walked away... the cashier had the same demeanor... you need to retrain your staff on customer service and behavior.. I read the other reviews... how embarrassed your store should be over excessive poor reviews on your staff .. including the line having more than 10 people waiting to be helped and no other line open but multiple staff members standing behind the counter... get your act together and better staff read more

Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had. I got a text that my prescription was ready and I went to pick it up. I had a family emergency that I needed to fly out for the next day at 6AM so I needed to pick up more medication before I went. However, when I got there, they were closing early due to weather. They said they were closing at 5:00, and it was 5:02. But I desperately needed to get my medication, and they had just made the decision to close early. The pharmacist was STILL THERE. They refused to even talk to me--so incredibly rude and curt. This was for cancer medication. I will absolutely NEVER use Walgreens again. Ever. read more

Went to the hospital for extreme swelling of my lower limbs, read online that a blood clot could possibly be on it's way to my lungs, so needed to get it checked out. 7 hours later, scan shows no clot, just severe edema. Dr. Obviously had no clue how long it takes to be seen by general practitioner, writes me a Rx for 3 generic Lasix (water pills). I take it to Walgreens on 99th& hwy99,as my brother is a regular customer there, and I usually pick up his pills, he's 100%disabled and has a hard time with mobility. I have Medicaid from Oregon, which the hospital accepted without question. When I asked for my Rx at the counter(Dr. Phoned it in) the clerk said I'd have to go to Oregon to fill it, as my Medicaid originated there. I'm from clatskanie, not interested in driving into Portland over 3 pills, and said I'd pay cash. She came up with the sum of $11 or 12 ninety nine, which I paid, my legs were sore,and I was tired. Got home to my bro's house, and looked up the cost for the pills I had, and all the info I got gave the retail cost of 30 of these pills, without insurance, of $8.00 max for 30 , average about 5 or 6. I was fairly perturbed, and relayed the info to the clerk the next day while picking up my brother's Rx, and she tried to bluff it it off, but I gave her the actual retail cost that more that three pharmacies gave, and she says , "well, that's just what Walgreens charges". I replied that that was just blatant theft, and left. Now when I go to get my brothers Rex's, I come through the door with a resounding "Hello,thieves!"and proceed to tell other customers my experience while waiting in line . read more

I would not recommend. I'd give zero stars if I could. I had a 12:15 appt for a vaccine. It's now 12:50 and I'm still waiting. All I needed was a rabies vaccine for school. This also happened last Friday. They try to blame it on their computer systems but really they just mess around back behind the desk. I came in at 1:28 pm to pick up my insulin. As a fragile diabetic I was completely out and needed my insulin asap. My insulin pump had failed. The pharmacy was SO rude and told me he could not give me my medication because he needed a lunch break. I said can't you just give it to me quick and then take a lunch? And he said no. If I could give negative stars, I would. My boyfriend called to verify that his prescription was ready for pickup. Walgreens on 139th in Vancouver WA stated that it was. I then called them as well to ensure that I could pick up the prescription on his behalf, and I was told yes I could and that it was indeed ready, and that I could pick it up tomorrow (today). When I arrived, the person at the counter stated that not only was it NOT READY but also that it hadn't been refilled since last November which is inaccurate. She impatiently told me that it didn't matter what I was told on the phone the night before. She then flipped the screen around (which I'm pretty sure is a HIPAA violation) and said "look!". She did not care one bit about the situation and it showed. If you have an alternative option for your prescription needs, I urge you to use it. read more

My doctor called in a prescription for me for my upcoming surgery and I went to pay for it and it was 182.37 and I asked if there was generic or if they used the Good Rx app and she said that was the price with the good rx app. I went home and looked on the app and it was 180.00 LESS at Safeway. I called and asked if I could bring it back still stapled in the sack and they were soooo rude, the manager Franklin told me absolutely not, and started to give me a lecture as I should have researched what I was buying before picking it up. I had no idea what my doctor had called in! Walgreens - I don't need your super rude customer service by Franklin. I will be taking all my money and prescriptions to Safeway. When I had a truly awful experience at another Walgreens pharmacy, I came to this one and they were incredible. The lady that helped me was incredibly kind and made sure my problem was solved with little effort but seemed huge to me. When I was already feeling defeated about the situation, she made sure to handle the situation with compassion and did everything she could to help. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service. This Walgreens has terrible service. They close the drive though at hours they don't advertise it being closed. My insurance company says they are on hold on the phone for 30 minutes. I was on hold for at least 20 minutes and finally drove to this location (while still on hold). I didn't see anyone on the phone. The attendants at the checkout line leave while your inline with no word or excuse. I'm going to 100% Mail prescriptions and do away with this terrible brick and mortar location. The only reason I shop there is for geographic convenience, but the headaches they cause are not worth the convenience. read more

So, at 7:45pm I pull up to the drive-through and I'm the 3rd car in line. After a few minutes I turn my car off. Then, after 10 minutes and zero movement, I decide to just go in to the store. I walk up to the pharmacy counter, and what do I see. Two pharmacy techs talking and hugging each other. They paid no attention to me or the line of cars outside waiting to be served. Unbelievable. When I finally asked if someone can help me, they gave me a dirty look and behaved so unprofessionally. My husband usually picks up my RX and when I told him what happened, he was not surprised. He said they are the rudest pharmacy department he's ever encountered. Well, we're done. I can not believe he's been putting up that nonsense for over a year. I'm getting very frustrated with the timeliness of Walgreens on 134th and 99th St. in Vancouver. I left my doctors office at 4:15 waited an hour to get drug work done, and then went to Walgreens where I was told "we weren't expecting you until six". How could they expect me at six when we hadn't talked about when I would be there and wouldn't it have been more service friendly to look at what they had in line ahead of me and say, 'it's gonna be 45 minutes'. This location always has a good selection of products and does a good job at keeping things well stocked, however the staff is very hit or miss. Sometimes my interactions are delightful other times they fall short of my expectations, today's experience was unfortunately the latter. Can't fault them for being frustrated at working during a pandemic but unfortunately the woman who checked me out was beyond rude. I like the pharmacy here and they're pretty quick and efficient. The prices are comparable and I'll continue to stop in here when i need something in a pinch. My only other complaint would be the parking lot. Getting in & out in both sides can price to be a challenge especially during busy hours. read more

Worst Pharmacy Staff & Manager I have ever experienced!! They do not care about customers - just meal breaks and taking out their frustrations on their customers. While claiming to be prioritizing kids antibiotics prescriptions, 5 minutes later they all walked out for lunch . Nobody was left to cover yet according to them half the kids in the city were sick!! Before I even dealt with the rude treatment in person, I was hung up by the pharmacist simply for asking when my prescription would be ready!!! This was 7 hours after they received it from my doctor. I was then yelled at while being accused of yelling, which I never did nor did I even cuss at all. Every other customer there saw my treatment as unfair The pharmacist with the up do man bun thing absolutely should not be working with the public at all! He has very thin skin if he can't even handle a customers questions without throwing a fit and then also accusing my doctors office of yelling at him! I know for a fact my doctor would never yell at anyone. Seems the manager with the multi colored hair (I have nothing against it I just don't remember her name), would rather be right and feel powerful than treat people with respect and simply say I'm sorry. I've been in customer service and we'd have been fired for the way she acted. Walgreens really needs to do a better job with hiring. It's like a little clique/social club at this pharmacy - where they just cover their a*ses and socialize. Then to refuse to fill a prescription when someone is very sick is unconscionable. This manager has no business dealing with the public. I went to Safeway and had my prescription from call in to pick up in 35 minutes. I've heard Walgreens pharmacy is having problems and if they treat customers like this, I'm not surprised. This was my 2nd time filling at the 139th street location and I will never go back. Ive been s customer at Walgreens Hwy 99 for 8 years, but after this , Im going to Safeway from now on. I've used Walgreens to develope my photos before but this particular one messed up my photos pretty badly. They didn't cut some of them straight so some have part of another image on them, and two of them are blurry and digital like the computer didn't load it properly. Won't be using Walgreens for photos again, or at least this location. read more

Awful service! I tried to order a probiotic online, but their system couldn't process my payment due to a technology glitch. So, when I picked up the same product at the drive-up window, I was charged $10 more than the online price. I didn't discover this until I got home. When I called the store to inquire, they said I'd have to come inside the store for them to adjust the price. I'm nearly age 70, so I'm avoiding going inside stores until I get vaccinated. They wouldn't adjust the price at their drive-up window, so I'm stuck paying $10 too much. Unbelievable! read more

Walgreens doesn't take Blue Cross / Regence Insurance? Apparently not. After getting my prescription filled at this location in November, I returned in December with my new Blue Cross Regence card and after about 20 minutes of the kind lady behind the counter making calls, she returned to let me know that Walgreens doesn't accept Regence. She was as surprised as I was. Luckily, Safeway right next door eagerly accepted my insurance and prescription. It was filled quickly and was only $3. So, I guess I'm lucky Walgreens doesn't take Regence or Blue Cross insurance. Two positives does earn 2 stars: * Apple Pay * Very patient and helpful people in the pharmacy Otherwise, there really isn't any reason to return to this small Walgreens location with Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons all within walking distance. read more
