This review is for the store, not the pharmacy. Whenever I need vitamins, I go to Walgreens during their buy one get one free, since vitamins are expensive! This deal makes them affordable. It also means that others are taking advantage of the deal and so they may be out of stock on the item you need, but they do restock throughout the week. Will also pick up bandaids, lotions, mascara, lipstick, shampoo and conditioner while I'm here and in need. friendly workers, plenty of parking, all good. read more

Almost always have long waits in cars, longer inside. Have frequent failures to refill Rxs on time. They claim 'Texting', but they often don't notify me of impending Rx refill needs, or completed ones. Have problems with timely refills, they decide how often certain Rx's should be filled, even tho the hard copy states an earlier date. insurance company informs me that this is a decision that's up to the individual pharmacist. They're short staffed. Their existing staff runs as fast as they possibly can. It's just that they can't run fast enough to make up for a lack of people. Other Walgreens appear to be run more efficientl. read more

Do they have negative stars available? For the last year this store has been so far below par and I don't understand how this gets past corporate. They acknowledge receipt of a prescription and then after a day they say say it is an "insurance issue" After couple weeks (I didn't need the scrip immediately), I finally called and they told me it was actually delayed due to none in stock. " Why wasn't this told to me immediately so I could get it somewhere ele?" They said that is just how system works. Really?? They then tell me I can get it at another of their pharmacies, but I have to call and get it transferred. Why am I doing their jobs!!?? Today, my son needed a scrip for pain meds after surgery. Against my better judgement (as well as the doctor's), I had it sent to Tigard Walgreens. They acknowledged it and after several hours I went to see if it was filled as my son was in pain. I was told they were out of stock. Should I have not received notification of this earlier? Was I to wait days or weeks before they filled it? They said Lake Oswego had it in stock but I have to call LO and tell them to request it be transferred to Tigard. Again, why? Why can't this company do their job and fill scrips. How in the world did Rite Aid go out of business yet pathetic Walgreens is still going? I have no doubt they are next to go by the wayside (fingers crossed). Well, I got that off my chest. The pharmacy is often closed for long periods of time. The message they give is to "hold on and we will be with you shortly ". That's a lie. They do not provide a way to transfer the prescriptions to another pharmacy. I have no way of contacting the doctor who prescribed the meds. To establish a connection with a new doctor requires documents from the prescribing doctor who is no longer available. Establishing the diagnosis requires blood tests and tissue analysis which require days. Wallgreens pharmacists require a backup. They are putting lives at risk! read more

Placed an online order. Their total was off by approximately $2 (on a $13 order, mind). Manager advised "we can't do anything about online orders, call the number on your email receipt" -- the point of ordering online is to eliminate steps, not add them. Said manager clearly did not give a freaking damn about providing decent customer service. There are many convenient local drug stores. Guess I'll be using one of them next time. read more

My husband scheduled our flu shots at this Walgreens location online, providing all the required information in advance. When we arrived on time, the woman behind the plexiglass wall simply pointed to a sign with a QR code. My husband scanned it, only to be asked the exact same questions he had already answered during scheduling. Since we don't carry past immunization records, he skipped that section. Then he was prompted to read a PDF document and check "agree." After doing so, the system kicked him back to the same document and wouldn't let him proceed. At that point, we were so frustrated with the redundant and broken process, that we left. I'm sure the pharmacy staff didn't care, but it was a terrible customer experience. We cannot recommend this Walgreens pharmacy. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! Everytime I use the app to refill I still have to call because an error generates even if I have refills. There afternoon break are ridiculous. Why can't they rotate breaks like any other business. They have lost my filled prescriptions, are constantly out of stock of my prescriptions, etc. etc. I could go on, but I won't! All my items were in stock & easy to find, which is the only reason they get the 2 Stars from me; the staff get one star. The first associate, who was sweeping the floor, was very short and dismissive when I tried asking him a quick question. If he didn't know or want trying to help me, he could've at least directed me to somebody who could instead of scowling at me for "interrupting" his headphone music - idk...‍ Then I got to the cashier; there was a couple in front of me, which wasn't at all the problem. But I kid you not, the cashier was literally moving as slow as she could; it actually seemed like she was doing it on purpose. At some point; the lady of the couple in front of me, must've noticed too, b/c someone eventually asked if she was having a bad night/long day (or somethin' like that,) The cashier replied, in short, "I'm tired." All right my turn, time to check out... first she had to pull everything out of the basket that set on the counter. But not in a regular way, she pulled everything out very slowly and passive aggressively as if she was annoyed that she had to pull that stuff out and I didn't put it on the counter for her - my mistake ma'am - if I would've known that it was going to be that big of an issue I would've just done it myself. She finally started actually ringing my stuff up, and I noticed something that was supposed to be buy one get one free, but it didn't ring up as such. I pointed it out, and once again, I seemed to have inconvenienced her. She had to take them off and redo them or something it literally took her all of 30 seconds to do... and considering the time she was taking... that was quick. I know it's kind of late, near closing time, & they probably worked all day;!I've worked in customer service, too - I get it. And I don't like giving low ratings, but that was just kind of ridiculous. If I go back another time and get better service this rating may change. read more

UPDATE: I recently found what I thought was a great deal: a (thin plastic water) bottle of knock-off Tajin, you know, that lime-and-powdered chile salt stuff you're supposed to put on cut fruit, but is awesome on basically everything? Ok, it was a big bottle and a great deal, so I snapped it up. Maybe Walgreens isn't so bad! So, I got it home and was stoked to put on some eggs & old tortilla chips, which is my kind of half-assed chilaquiles I guess. Anyway, tajin is great for that, I mean, really great. Just before I sprinkled it on, I noticed a warning unlike I've ever seen on any food product: one of those 'CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION (something) WARNING: The state of California requires us to warn you that this crap will give you cancer.' (Paraphrase.) In English only. Speaking of ethically questionable. I mean, bad enough that they sell a food labeled like this. Yesterday, my Walgreen shopping experience was the worse experience ever. I have shopped here for many years and over the past year have seen it go down, down, down. I was in contact with 3 customer service staff; none of them were helpful or friendly. I will forgive the friendly as I understand not everyone can be happy all the time. However, if you have NO customer service skills, perhaps you should find a warehouse job with no contact with the public. The customer service at this particular store is none to nil. Severely understaffed and the staff doing the work isn't friendly enough to write home about. My wife routinely picks up her prescriptions here and same result. Went in to get an oxygen monitor, my husband had just called and spoke with a gentleman who had graciously set it aside for him. When we got there I ran in to grab it. I stood there at the pharmacy waiting for acknowledgment. The lady who did was soo unfriendly. I told her we spoke with a gentian that said he set it aside. She told me to go find him he's somewhere in the store. Um really. Okay wtf. I told her she was very unfriendly as I walked away to find the monitor. The lady at the front was nice enough to tell me she had the monitor up at the counter. I then told her the incident at the pharmacy. She told me the lady was Ruth. Well Ruth you are a bitch. Plain and simple, even your co worker thinks you are rude! Quit your job if you are soo unhappy. You are in the wrong business. Maybe you should go put animals to sleep. read more

Have shopped at Tigard Walgreen since the day they opened--especially pharmacy. It has been quite good except for the long lines at drive up but we do understand. Things have certainly changed. Today couldn't get an answer about cost because the employee was hard for us to hear and she didn't seem to understand the question. It was a simple "how many days is the prescription written for." After yelling loudly and them not understanding they pushed the prescription through the slot. When we finally got an answer found out it was $20 more than other places. Told her we didn't want it and she wouldn't let us give it back. My husband was still holding it in his hand at the window. After so many years, and it being so close to home, I hate to give up the convenience, but this service is beyond the pale. NEVER AGAIN. Love CVS in Lake Oswego so will go there. read more

The people working the drive through pharmacy are incompetent. Constantly long wait times (I've sat there for up to 50 minutes one time. On average- at least 30 minutes wait time). Instead of telling the person with the issue to come inside, in order to keep the line moving- they'll bring the line to a halt for an absurdly long amount of time. This happens nearly all the times I've went. read more

This store is woefully understaffed. The checkout lines in both the pharmacy and the general merchandise areas can get unbelievably long. It is particularly bad when one person staffs the prescription counter and a problem occurs. The line builds and there is no way around it. The same person also staffs the drive-up window, so the cars outside also stack up. This store is not always like this, but I go there pretty regularly and these lines happen quite often. My advice: If you have to use Walgreens, use the Mail Service Pharmacy if at all possible. They have recently gotten their act together. One more comment: When Gigi O. was the pharmacy manager, things were much better. In the past couple of years they have been turning over pharmacy managers, so this may be a reflection of frustration by the staff. Firstly, the employees in the actual store are super nice!! I highly enjoy anytime I step foot in the cosmetic department in particular. However, the pharmacy needs desperate help in learning how to help people. There is one employee (he's newer, tan skinned, tall, young, and has a monotone voice) who should NOT be working in any type of customer based setting; especially a pharmacy where people's health or life is at stake. He's incredibly rude, very unprofessional, and quite honestly is an asshole. I plan on contacting corporate to notify them of this employee. After the first interaction I thought perhaps he was having a bad day. After the second, just thought he was rude. The third, not trained enough. And now today, the 4th time, completely inept at being behind that counter. He offers no help or kindness. A pharmacy should be a place where people can go for help or support when they are ill (which is why people are on medication). This man, could cause someone to get sick or perhaps die. I will not use this pharmacy ever again. After 11 years of going here Rite Aid or CVS now has my business. So in wrap up, store is fabulous but the pharmacy is horrendous! Thx read more

Went to get my second Covid shot. Waited half an hour and then once I got it, had to hang around another 15 mins or so to make sure I didn't have a reaction. When my husband and I got there, two other people were there already. By the time I was loudly talking about sitting there so long, seven people were standing waiting in line. It was so outrageous and I was frustrated. This was on a Sunday so I don't know if the staff behind the counter weren't feeling it or what was going on. Complete lack of efficiency and time management. Not sure if they could have moved any slower. Shame. read more

I ordered a canvas print for Christmas at the Tigard 99W location today because it was a same-day pickup and a great price. I got the email saying it was ready and headed over to find that they "lost" it somehow. After someone looked for 10 minutes or so (in between helping other customers), she said she'd make another one. I waited another 10 minutes while she helped three other people and THEN then she started my photo printing. It took about 5 minutes and when it was done it fell face-down on the floor, which I pointed out. After she helped another customer, she went over and put it together, which took another 20 minutes! She brings it over and it is scratched, either because it fell on the floor or she didn't know how to do it right. Soooo, I wait ANOTHER 30 minutes for a new one only to find that the side of it was scratched!!! Finally I gave up and left. I was foolish to order this with Walgreens because last Christmas they messed up on a cube ornament and another year they screwed up a photo blanket (I had to drive to the Sherwood Walmart to get it fixed). Each time I was practically desperate to get a last-minute gift and they advertise same-day photo products. Never again! read more

After all these years, I finally have to admit this place is not so good, putting it mildly. I've been giving excuses for them over the years, but I'm getting a bit impatient these days and feeling like there has to be something better. After reading other reviews, I can so agree and now know I'm not the only one feeling this way, especially about the wait time, mistakes and the people who seemed over worked and unfriendly. I recently (and this is definitely not the first time) have been questioned about my insurance and asked for my insurance card. This is after being notified by email that my prescription was ready for pickup. My husband went to get it for me and they said they didn't have it so had to re-order it for me and had a problem with it so needed to see my insurance card. My husband has the exact same insurance card as I do and my name is on that card, but they said they still needed to see "my" anyway and that it wasn't ready anyway because they had no record of it in their system. Even though they notified me that it was ready for pick up. How can that be? What kind of system notified you that it's ready for pickup and then suddenly has no record of it? My husband went to get it the next day along with my insurance card (which is the exact same card as my husband's) and they had the prescription ready. When I received it and looked at the receipt the price was way higher so I had to call my insurance company. They told me that it was never billed to them. In other words they never filed the claim for me. I decided to check on another prescription that was picked up shortly before this time. The price on that was also high, but I was told by insurance that the price was applied to my deductible for the same prescription 3 months ago, but that same prescription was also not claimed at this recent time. I called Walgreens about it and had a hard time getting in contact with them since they seemed to keep disconnecting me until I called the main store and told then what was happening and they transferred me directly. A very unfriendly person answered the phone and asked me my name, and problem. After looking on his computer he just said "you'll have to come in to the pharmacy and let us re-run your prescription and we'll give you a refund." No, apologies, nothing. I said "ok, thank you" He says in a very flat voice, "no problem" click. . . Something's definitely wrong. read more

Scheduled vaccination, confirmed by website. Drive over, walk in pharmacy closed because short staffed. No call no warning. wasted trip. Recheded appointment for next day. Because of previois days fail decided to call ahead and make sure they were going to be open. Was on hold for about 10 minutes so I hung up. Called back, selected store instead of pharmacy because all I needed to know was if the pharmacy was going to close early again or not or if my appointment was still a go. Woman answered, I said "I had an appointment with the pharmacy.." and she yelled over the top of me "THIS ISNT THE PHARMACY" and I heard a click, then a long silent paus, then music. Back on hold for pharmacy. Fortunately this hold was only like three minutes. Then I explained what happened the night before and was just calling to verify they were closing early again so I didn't waste another trip.She was very argumentative and frenzied, then asked what my vaccinations were. I listed all three and she said "we don't even have two of those". I was pretty unhappy at this point. I asked why they didn't see that my appointment was confirmed, see what I was coming in for, recognize they didn't have what I wanted and give me a courtesy call to save me a trip. if I wouldn't have called I would have a second wasted trip. The lady said "it's not my fault" and then said they are one of the briskest Walgreens I. the area but have no supplies (or had run out of supplies). Why isn't their appontment booking software sophisticated enough to match the vaccines I selected on their website with the inventory at that location? Total sh*tshow they got going over there. Buisest in the area, understaffed, undersupplied, frenzied workers with no answers, bad customer service, terrible booking software. Avoid at all cost. read more

Bad bad service. Multiple times they have filled the wrong prescription, misquoted and over charged me. The pharmacy technician Brock, sighed when I asked why my cost varied and sighed again when I asked to speak with a pharmacist. They are extremely slow and inefficient. I have only Daniel uses pharmacy for a month and it had nothing but issues since I started. When I talk to the pharmacist Stacey, and I was going to transfer all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy she cheerfully said OK and that was that. The pharmacy here is horrible. I watched as Anthony was the only available person running between COVID vaccine check-in, the drive thru window and prescription drop off and pick up. While also apparently training someone. Looking in the back I saw 5 individuals standing around doing absolutely nothing. The line was backed up with 12 people waiting for help or to be vaccinated. Not one individual aside from Anthony assisted in any way. I sure hope this place figured it out I will never return here and do not recommend coming here. read more
