For a Walmart, this is one of the better locations. Produce is typically fresh and priced well, pantry items are definitely lower than grocery stores, and items are well stocked. While there, I always check out the clothing and Suprisingly, find cute in-season sweaters, jeans, jackets that look nice and are super j=cheap. Always buy my layering basics here like 100% cotton tanks, t-shirts and long sleeve t-shirts. The other day I bought two crochet cropped sweaters that look like Anthropology dupes. Often I spot a cute sweater or jeans on Instagram and order online for quick pick up at the store. They bring it out to your car making it incredibly convenient and one of my favorite reasons to buy online. Right now it's spring and I'm in the mood to plant some annuals for immediate pops of color. Their prim roses go for $1,99 at Walmart while Freddie's sells for $3,99. Same with pansies and violas; Definitely buy them here if you need several since the savings adds up. read more

First off, this is NOT my first horrible experience at this store. This is exactly why I usually stick with Target--the customer service here is some of the worst I've ever experienced. Let's start with online pickup. The inventory is never accurate, which is why I place pickup orders before driving 30 minutes to this location. One of my items was marked unavailable... yet I walked in and found it instantly. I don't work here and barely shop here, so that's already a problem. Now the cherry on top. I NEVER get to shop without my toddler, but since this was for Easter, I had someone watch them so I could actually shop alone. While I was in-store--basically doing the job of the employees--I thought I'd treat myself and try something on. I waited about 5 minutes for help. An employee came up, told me it was closed, flipped the sign from open to closed, and said "too bad." I explained I live 30 minutes away and rarely get this chance. She told me to just buy it and return it, then claimed no one in the entire store had a key. So either she lied, or there's a serious security issue. Imagine a situation in a fitting room where someone needs help and no one can access it--that's unacceptable. I checked out with the item I had to find myself, then went to customer service to pick up the rest of my order. They told me I had to leave the store and drive to a pickup spot--even though I was already inside. When I asked again about the fitting room, another employee said they could have opened it... after I had already checked out. I was willing to overlook the pickup issue because things happen. But the way I was treated pushed it over the edge. This store needs serious management changes. I will not be coming back to this location. Floor manager made it clear that there was nothing she could do and couldn't care less, I could come back tomorrow. If I have any other choice I will just shop somewhere else. This store is hit or miss on items. It's a box of chocolates. But it's Walmart, so the expectations are low. I ordered online and had a return. I was lucky that there were no line at customer service. I swore after the last time waiting for 40 minutes I would never do it again and here I was. I don't really understand the appeal of Walmart. They are constantly out of stock on items. So many things are locked up now and trying to find an associate to help you is nearly impossible.. you make eye contact with an associate and they B-Line it in the other direction and avoid you like the plague. This Walmart has the added benefit of having a grocery department, but I can't say I've bought anything from that section since there's a WinCo and Costco down the street. I usually come here to buy cleaning materials such as a Swiffer Sweeper, Bissell vacuum, and pharmaceuticals. This location is generally well stocked and organized, but available store associates to assist are few and far between. I usually use my Walmart app, which syncs with my store location, to tell me which aisles my items are located. Whoever designed the letters for the aisles did a terrible job because the letters are not in alphabetical order. If you're looking for aisle E (where the baby lotion is), it isn't close to aisle F. It's randomly located next to A and I. I like that the self-checkout area is expanded to at least 10 stations so there's no waiting in line. There are also plastic bags for use, which is unheard of for me from Cali. The customer service area is generally busy, but the line moves along fairly quick if you're returning a purchase. read more

The asset protection blocked me from getting to my toddler in the toy isle as if he was casing my three year old literally had to tell him to move away from my baby. Finally mad my way to the Register where the woman named Cassy checked me out she felt the need to comment to my three year old about the color of his pig shoes. She says directly at my three year old son "pink shoes, blue sweater Im confused on what you are" my three year old dropped his head said and asked to take his shoes off. I'm giving this one star rating based off the way my three year old was treated by the adults/ evil bigots working in this store. The store is under stocked over crowded with way too many employees in huddles gossiping and complaining about customers and other coworkers. What a bummer this store has become. I've always been a Walmart shopper as I appreciate that they hire people who may have a hard time getting hired elsewhere as well as their competitive prices. However, they have recently made it extremely difficult to make shopping there a quick trip. The things they have decided to put in cases is just ridiculous, not to mention finding an employee who is available to open them. The isles have become narrow and they now have check outs in multiple sections so they expect you to have 5 different receipts by the time you leave-HATE that! They also just spent so much time and money putting in a TON of u-scans only to now have them blocked off behind yellow tape only allowing one or two people to use them even when the lines are backed up and you have 2 items to purchase. When I asked the checker (after waiting in line for 15 minutes for one shirt) he said they are getting rid of them and that strikes a nerve with me bc 85% of the time either the customers or the clerks are extremely slow, no to mention the amount of money they wasted with all their confusion. Obviously Walmart is making plenty of money so it's not about that for them but it for some reason feels like a slap in the face seeing that they can just waste money while the majority of customers shopping there are there bc they don't have money to waste and are trying to save a penny or two. They also have someone at the door pretending to check receipts but it's clear that person is in no shape to check someone if they didn't have proof of what they just bought-and remember you may have 4 or 5 different receipts that u will need to dig out basically just for a show. They act as tho it's the customers fault bc they decided to stop having bags to use and train their employees improperly and put those together and there will be theft time to time-not my fault or problem. All of these things are such a headache that it's not worth saving less than a dollar on my purchases especially knowing the quality of their items. I do not plan to do any more shopping here in the future as it is a hassle that is not worth my time or money. *also I want to mention the fact they lock all their condoms up in a case-how sad is that?! I went to get some for my son as he had a steady girlfriend and knew he probably wouldn't himself bc it's embarrassing....well Walmart makes that 1000x more embarrassing. I hadn't bought condoms in quite sometime and when I went to look I noticed they were locked up (awkward!). I had to push a button and wait for an employee to come over and I locked it and when she did she had to get the ones I wanted from the shelf so I had to instruct her to which ones, embarrassing. How sad. I told the lady 'man, if u was 16 I would be so embarrassed! I definitely would have rather not even purchased which is such a bummer!!' She said informed me that my son could get them for free at his school in the office...like any kid is going to do that because they are EMBARRASSED! Almost everything locked up. Very few employees to help. Everything from $2 zip ties, $10 USB cords to obviously necessary high dollar items. But, just like when they removed all the registers, to bring in almost nothing but self checks then still had huge lines because they didn't open them all they are creating an incredibly anti customer atmosphere. I would've thought they would've learned from what must've been a huge financial cost to later switch back to actual cashier manned registers and removing the bulk of self checks. It doesn't pay to be anti customer. I can understand locking up high dollar/high theft items but, reset the selling sections to have low dollar items available WITHOUT having to wait for your very rude employees to finally show. I've had 3 different issues with employees being just flat rude & disrespectful. Idk why that Walmart hires so many ppl not fit for customer service. But this morning an older lady working in customer service I couldn't see her name cuz she put a BabyRuth sticker over her name. I was already having a rough morning, my car battery died so I went to Sherwood Walmart & bought one, but it wasn't quite right & of course Sherwood Walmart customer service opens at 9am & this was at 7am. So I called & confirm w/ Tigard & rushed over there & as she is was returning she didn't give an option she just said ok it's going back on ur card & I said can we please get a gift card cuz I need the battery now or I have to keep asking for a jump. & She was sooo rude cuz I said usually a gift card is a viable option I'm not asking for cash but I need to exchange this now for car battery & she threw her hands up, her voice got higher & said "u need to let me do my job" " ok done I want a gift card, fine* I literally cannot put into words how insanely rude she was, nothing I could write would justify her facial expression & attitude towards me. I don't shop at this branch very often, mostly because the store layout is substantially different (i.e. totally different) than the layout at my regular Walmart. I really wish they wouldn't do that. Makes it very difficult to find my regular items and I have to think that it also reduces Walmart's sales revenue. That said, this is a well stocked super store. The checkout lines are MUCH faster than they are at my regular Walmart or in mot any other Walmart I have been to recently. Walmart does it again. Not only can you not get bags any more but they make it harder and harder to get merchandise. This location locked up all the batteries. It says to ask an associate for a key.... Which I did. The guy told me he didn't have one and if I wanted batteries I had to go get a different associate to provide it. You know what? I'm not going to run around their store trying to find someone to open their locked case for a package of AAAs. Geez!!!!! Not to mention the guy checking receipts as you leave the store!!!! Jeanine is customer service treated me like a rat of a human being. I brought in a shelf still in the box and was super respectful about the fact that I stupidly lost my receipt. She said her policy is returns of $25 or less. My mom is a front end coach for Walmart and says that the store wide policy is that you can give people a credit if you can verify it's Walmarts product. It's in the box still and in mint condition. I unfortunately didn't need it, and purchased it two weeks ago so I didn't think it should be a problem. When I spoke to the coach and another employee about how bad I was treated, they just shrugged their shoulders. I'm so hurt and just want to cry. I am disappointed that I tried to order a TV not once but twice from the Tigard Supercenter in Portland and both times the driver said he attempted to deliver, but I didn't get my item and my money is still on hold. I tried calling the online order number, option 4 and no one answered. It's funny that I got all my items with no problem, even while traveling from California to Oregon but not the TVs. Prices are great. Shelves are a bit messy, but whatever. The frustrating thing with this store is that they stopped offering disposable bags of any kind recently. I don't mean "you can have a paper bag if you pay a 10 cent tax"; I mean "sorry, we no longer have paper or plastic bags at all." Seriously?? This is incredibly inconvenient if you're getting more than 3-4 things at from Walmart -- and most of us are. When you shop at Walmart, you generally know what to expect. Long lines, huge crowds, lots of trash, dirty or sticky floors, gross bathrooms, and the occasional bare shelf. When you shop here, you sacrifice a decent shopping experience for cheap stuff. Generally that doesn't matter, except when they're completely out of the item you came all the way out here to get. Then, having to wait forever just to check out gets old, simply because the store won't hire enough people to run the registers. Speaking of the employees, I was profiled several times at the Tigard Walmart late at night just before closing. I bought a weeks worth of groceries, paid for my stuff, walked towards the door with every item bagged, only for the door greeter to stop me and demand to see my receipt. No one else was stopped, including a guy that walked out the door in front of me that was carrying an item that wasn't even in a bag. Seriously? I had my receipt in my hand. There are cameras and people everywhere. You'd have to be stupid to try to steal a cart full of stuff. This has happened enough times to make me hate shopping here. I understand that the life of a Walmart worker is hell, but I can't stand being stopped and accused of stealing every time I go out to buy food for the week. Walmart will do as a place to shop in an emergency, but otherwise just save yourself the torment and avoid this location and go to a decent store like Costco, Fred Meyer or Target. read more

This review is really about the woman general manager and the overall rule on how Walmart handles electronic giftcards. I recalled using e-cards at Walmart was simple and painfree before. Then Walmart made some changes and now requires every e-card transaction with a manager approval regardless how small the amount is. I don't know if you know how long it takes to page and have the manager responds to each e-card use. It is like watching paint dries. I don't like using e-cards at Walmart but I have so many gift cards I need to finish using before I forget about them. I beg my friends to not ever give me another Walmart giftcard! Normally the purchase at a Walmart was painful but st least the transaction is complete. This time I tried to pay for items using my very last e-card (hooray) at the Tigard location. I left the store without buying anything and was so mad. It was no fault of the cashier. He was very nice. He scanned the card code successfully and it asked for manager approval. When she finally came and before she even scan anything, this woman manager had an attitude and told me let's just see if she can even scan it. What did she imply? I'm running a scam? She half heartedly scan the card. It gave a good scan beep but she told me the it didn't scan. Didn't the cashier successfully scanned the same code just minutes earlier? She didn't even bother to help and left. I was so mad and just wanted to find out if this card is still good. I went online right away and saw it is good with values. So my comments are: 1) this manager clearly hates her job so it is bad business for Walmart to allow this kind of worker to represent the company; 2) change your e-card policy and improve the transaction. Until Walmart fixes these problems I will not be shopping at the Tigard location. And I refuse to get e-card gifts from anyone. If I could, I would rate this location half star. Okay, let me start by saying that my husband, two kids (4&2) and I visited this Walmart on 5/16/21. Walmart is usually a last resort sort of store for obvious reasons. However, this had to be the absolute WORST experience we have ever had at Walmart and I would rate them a 0 if I could. We only came to this specific store because it was closest to our house and we were shopping for our nephew's birthday gift last minute. When we arrived, we went directly to the toy section (my nephew is 5 years old) and this was the only reason we came to the store. We were making our way down the toy aisles when all of a sudden we started smelling something gross. Yes, you guessed right. My husband, my oldest and I stepped in poop. IN THE TOY AISLE. HUMAN. POOP. IN. THE. TOY. AISLE. My poor husband ran to grab an employee while my two kids and I were trying to make our way out of the landmine of poop aisle while I hysterically yelled at my kids to be careful. It was awful. THEN- my husband comes back with 2 young employees who just stood there, not knowing what to do or say. They actually even stopped another employee walking by and asked him to help with the clean up and what does he do? He shrugged his shoulders and said "not my problem" and walked away. Wtf?!! I became very frustrated at these young girls because by this time they were STILL just standing there like dumb and dumber not knowing what to do. I had to explain to these girls exactly what they needed to do (get someone else on your talking device and report it because someone needs to clean this) in my nicest mom voice and asked if they could bring paper towels so we could clean ourselves up. This entire time there were more employees walking by, peeking in at the disgusting sight of poop everywhere and walked away pretending they didn't see anything. When the girls came back (they decided to leave my family and I to fend for ourselves) they came back empty handed and alone. Meaning, no other adult employee helped these poor girls and left them to figure this out on their own. My husband ended up grabbing some $1 hand towels from the next aisle over and that is what we used to wipe the poop off from our shoes and walked away. As we made our way back down the main aisle (across from the poop mines) we could hear the two young employee girls laughing at another young employee girl because she was mopping up said poops. They didn't bother helping this poor girl and at one point we even heard them laughing at her saying "should we bring you a toothbrush to clean" as if the poor girl wasn't already going through enough suffering. The girl who was mopping wasn't even wearing any gloves or hazmat suit which I'm pretty sure is breaking protocol? Oh well. How would I know. All I know is that we are never stepping foot in ANY Walmart store EVER AGAIN! read more

A string of 10 Walmart carts rolled out of a cart holder where they were not secure because of the design of the Walmart cart holder and also because of how the holder is situated, rolled downhill in to my car and damaged my car. The design of that particular cart holder on a hill with no lip or block to hold Walmart carts that are placed in Walmart's cart holder, is absolutely in Walmart's control. I have spent $500 out of pocket for something that is most definitely Walmart's negligence. There was little to no response when I reached out to Walmart about the issue. They take no accountability and are able to just ignore until I go away. I'm just a little fish, but they won't be getting any more of my money. The only control I have is to spend elsewhere. The store handled it poorly and then corporate just backed up the store's poor response and inaction. Not impressed and definitely not a fan of this store or any Walmart. read more

This Walmart is ridiculous. It's the people that work here who truly seem to hate working in customer service and it shows. I've maybe visited this location 3 times and 2 out of 3 different occasions I've had such rude experiences. First rude encounter was in the self check out area. First off, I always go to the self check outs at whichever store I go to because I feel bad having someone ring my stuff up when I'm capable to do so myself. There's maybe 8 stations and all lights were off aside from 3 that had lights on and customers at them. While waiting my turn and the employee working in the check out station standing there looking at me while I'm waiting for a station to become free. There starts to build a line of a few people behind me. It is then when he chose to point at a station that has its lights off without saying anything. (Am I to assume that they're all open? Why aren't the lights on? Can he not open his mouth and verbally say please go to so and so number?) he waited till a line formed behind me before pointing. First off.. I've worked in customer service in high school and I get it you deal with different personalities and so forth. But there's no excuse to not do your job. If you don't like people or are not willing to help people out. Quit! We don't come into stores for an attitude when we didn't fill out your job application. 2nd encounter Yesterday, went to a person in the (less than 15 item lane) my friend was in the front of me. She maybe had 6 items. Asked if she could check a price for 1 thing and this older lady/employee Kathleen from the start had an attitude. When my friend said she'd pass on 1 item. The lady threw it on the Floor and had such a rude vibe. For the first incident, I waited for a manager because I was so irritated or how the employee acted. And the manager I received her self didn't even seem to care. Her response to what I had told her just happened was "well I wasn't there. So, idk what happened." Really?! No s*** you wasn't there. If you were, why would I be explaining the situation??! As stated before.. I've worked customer service- fast food/retail when I was younger. I know, remember the different type of people you deal with. But I never took out my personal feelings of disliking where I worked or how much little I made on people.
