I love these ladies!! I moved to Long Beach about 2.5 months & I've been coming here since then. I always get the European pedicure & a fill in with gel. They have ample color selection (they had new colors today!) The pedicure is amazing & they offer a drink (including wine) with it. I've only broken 1 nail & that was putting together a new desk, and they fixed it next day. Pricing is half of what I was paying in Nashville. I have no complaints coming here. First time here to get my birthday/Christmas nails done and what a gem! Location is perfect, only 10 mins walk from my place and it is located near the traffic circle, easy to find! Greeted with very friendly and charming staffs and they give you drinking water. I had Raymond, which is a funny guy and talented nail artist. They have a lot of color choices and I'm pretty sure they have waxing, pedicures etc. things like that. He did a beautiful job and I would definitely recommend Raymond! First time here for an express manicure and pedicure. Clean, friendly. Two Different ladies worked on me. Pedicure: Polish job was nice. Unfortunately she persistently cut and dug too deep on my big left toe. I said "ouch" twice. Third time she said "it hurt?" and continued one more time. When she put my foot in the water my toe was throbbing. Lost one star. Manicure: Girl did a nice job filing. As it has dried, with the topcoat, on every finger she did not clean up the edges well. I did not notice this until I was driving home. So when I look at my fingers on both hands, there is a clear coat shine that extends beyond the cuticle on each finger. I have to go home and fix it. Lost 1 stars for this. Also, I did not like having to stretch my right arm and hand over for her to work on my hand. At other salons but they simply switch to the other side of the body so the customer does not have to awkwardly stretch. The way they did my pedicure was very bad and unclean. She rushed to put the flip flops on and damaged it and was unwilling to fix it. She put the cut out nails on my pants to show me how much she cut! The manicure gel is equally bad. She did not clean the cuticles. Terrible customer service. Never coming back!!! First time here. The prices are pretty high. I did #3-european pedicure. Nothing fancy it was with the scrub, hot stones, callus remove, mask clay(which was wiped off a min after applying it). This was $35. Also did an express manicure simple cut file paint for $12. the lady i worked with and owner offered a variety of drinks from water, soda, wine. Very nice of them. Also I couldn't get a current proce list. The list is on their ipad which they take back right after you tell them which service you want. On a negative note: if you happen to get service from the younger lady who speaks pretty well english, she talks alot and gossip. Lol i got annoyed.she started telling her 2nd customer about the lady she just worked on stating she looks hard to approach because shes bald. She should have long hair so it make people more comfortable to approach. If you are the Petite Afrian American Lady that came in on Sunday please dont go to this lady again. I live down the street and happy to see a nice nail salon that just opened on Yelp. They've been open for 5 months and the salon is nice and clean. Workers are super nice as well. I got my nails done for a trip I was going on. Super disappointed because barely the next day- my gel manicure started chipping. I didn't have time to fix it so I had to cut my long nails down to avoid it chipping any further. Update 6/2019 I decided to give this salon another try. The quality appears to be better! Last time I got a mani- my gel nails didn't chip- so that's positive. I also like that I can typically be seen right away without waiting too long. read more

The first time I went it was an early morning and they opened early for me. Very welcoming and kind! However, the nails chipped the next day and getting back to them to fix it just wasn't happening with the schedule. The dipped nails ended up peeling/ripping my nails after 1 week. Went back to give them a second chance, I waited for 25 minutes after my appointment time. The job was nicely done and this time I got a gel manicure. And, again it only lasted 1 week. The people are nice and friendly but the manicure just didn't last. My pedicure is still going strong after a week though! Won't be going back since I need my money to be paying for a job that lasts. read more

I used to like this place when it first opened and up until a new owner took over. I loved everyone always on time and accommodate my schedule. But today (out of all days-Valentines day) I called super early and made appt for noon when I got there I was told to wait and they made a mistake bec they thought i wanted 12:30PM. I guess they don't write your appt time when you call. (Defeats the purpose of making an appt) Super disappointed I could have done my nails somewhere else but bec they are next door and i loved previous owner i made appt that never happened. Anyway this was not the first time around Dec I made an appt too and instead of taking me first bec of my appt they attended to another person who supposedly was a first time customer. So i ended up not doing my pedicure bec i ran out of time. (Only there during my lunch break) The owner decided to send someone to our office to give me a coupon for 20% for my next visit. Well that was a nice gesture but i do not need a discount what i needed is to have my mani and pedi done as scheduled. Now i will be flying and off to my vacation without my nails getting done again. Tracy and Kayla are gentle, thorough and talented nail artists. The service there in terms of handling appointments/walk-ins is unprofessional however. Kayla seems to take care of a lot and gets overwhelmed and messy. I paid for a full pedicure only to receive a nail color change. No time was spent on me after waiting 45 minutes and them allowing 3 people to go ahead of me. I should of spoke up but I was confused and it happened quickly. I had a pedicure for Raymond and it was so good I decided to come for a gel mani with him (and finally have my acrylics removed). The salon is very cute and very clean with easy parking. The gel manicure was just average, the polish wasn't done all the way to the cuticle and although he did the best he could given the state of my nails (had to cut them very short after I had the acrylics off which I was fully expecting), I was not at all impressed with the shape nor with the actual process. My total was $30 and he didn't even do a hand massage. Most places in the area charge $18-22 for a gel mani (and of course extra for taking acrylic off), but for $30 and no massage I would not return here. They are very nice, but they need to decrease their prices and have the same services other salons include with their manicures if they wish to compete and retain business. read more

I originally asked for white acrylic powder but they INSISTED I got gel instead and kept trying to say that it was the color I wanted but it wasn't even close so I ended up just getting blue. My cuticles were also bleeding and I went to a different salon to have them taken off and redone and they were shocked by how badly they destroyed my cuticles and real nails. read more

I was waiting to write my review to make sure I loved this place and I really do! It's so clean, Raymond did an awesome job, made me feel comfortable and made sure I was happy with his work. I will definitely be going back and I'm happy to say I finally found my new nail salon. 5 months later, I stopped coming here because I simply don't have 2 hours every other week to get my nails done. They don't keep their appointment times and won't do your hand and feet at the same time. I didn't like the way the staff talked about each other when people left, it makes the customer feel uncomfortable. So what's the verdict? In my opinion, DO NOT COME HERE! When I first entered this shop, I saw that it's a newer location with decent colors and selections. The shop itself is clean to my knowledge but then again it's still too early to tell since it's still new. The shop is on the small side with about 8 spa chairs and even a child's spa chair. I've dealt with a handful of people who work here and I'd have to say that I'm not impressed. There's a particular person who I want to acknowledge and not in a good way. He's a skinny spiky hair guy named Raymond (Raymont?) that is quite rude to his fellow employees and surprise surprise I understand Vietnamese and I've overheard him talking bad about customers which made me feel uncomfortable.... lucky for him he didn't say anything about my friends and I. I haven't personally had him do my nails but he did my friends and seem like he rushes through pedicures and gel manicures and they ended up chipping after a few days. He even tried to rush through her massage so he can hurry up and get to the next customer.... um no, when one pays for a package, one expect it to be fulfilled... invest in a timer like other salons instead of trying to guesstimate the time and cutting it short so you can rush through. This place provides mediocre service that is rushed, and they charge you a nice chunk of change that ends up being wasted since your polish will chip within a few days. Read a few other reviews and seems like others have complained about chipping nail polish also. If I were you I'd spend my hard earned money elsewhere. As you can tell I won't be back, and I'm sure my friend won't either. read more

The people who work here are AWESOME. The hairdressers are old school and really pay a lot of attention to their clientele... don't be turned off that the majority of the patrons here are of the older crowd--as they say OLDIES but GOODIES! I bet you these guys and gals are better beauticians than a lot of the younger peeps out there nowadays! I've visited Regency on a number of occasions and from what I've experienced, everybody gets the RED CARPET treatment! To the right are magazines... as many as you can read in a year! Comfy couches too. To the left is a nail table that is run by Cindy and Hoi... a husband and wife dynamic duo who have been together "FOREVER". Hoi is a former real estate agent and LB State alum (Go Beach! Right??!) who retired in the late 90s to help Cindy w/ her manicurist aspirations and the both of them tag team nails and toes like no other... Hoi's probably the sweetest guy you'll ever run into, he'll always smile and will talk to you about everything from the latest YouTube videos to the most current political events... yes, (OLD) guys can do nails. Cindy is a loudmouth, but in a good way. She'll always laugh at your jokes and will always take the time to give you that extra 5 minutes of a foot massage as you're getting your pedicure on! She's always cheery and will always make sure that she goes above and beyond to ensure that your experience comes out perfectly. The craftsmanship is TOP notch... don't expect to be in and out in like you're on an assembly line when you step into Regency... expect to be pampered like the King/Queen that you are... spend some time, get to the know the people and come on back. I have been going to Nails BB for a few years and was always completely satisfied with the services until yesterday. Years ago, I thought I'd finally found my nail shop for life! I am so disappointed! In the end, my nails were nice but I literally had to argue with the Nail tech, Michelle for her to take care of me. I went into the shop for a Fill and Pedicure. My pedicure was good. No issues with the pedicure except I missed the entire massage experience because I was dealing with the nail tech that was doing my nails arguing with me about her service. Please let me explain. I asked her to cut my nails. I like my nails short. She said ok, no problem. She proceeded to do my nails and after prepping them she proceeded to begin with the acrylic fill I politely asked her if she'd remembered that I wanted my nails cut. She said yes, and she would cut them after she filled them. This had never been my experience before, but ok, you're the expert do it how you know how to do it. She filled my nails and after she filled them she then brought out a nail-cutting clipper gadget and cut the tip of my nails off to my desired length. She filed my nails and clean them up and was prepared to paint my nails. I looked at my nails closely truly just to admire her work and discovered that there was clearly separation and lifting of the acrylic from my own nail happening on at least 5 of my nails. I pointed out the issue and she immediately got defensive and told me it was because I needed a new full set. I asked her why didn't she tell me that from the onset of my service. I would have had no problem getting a new full set. She then told me the lifting was because my cuticles needed to be removed. "WHAT!" I explained that I was not satisfied and I trust her to tell me as the nail tech from the onset of services what was happening and or what I needed. She continue to argue with me and defensively told me I needed a complete new full set of nails and she would not be able to save my own nail in the process. I was floored! I never expressed that I cared about my own nails, in fact, I'd just had her cut them, so what was she talking about? I was livid at this point because she should have suggested a new set from the onset of my service. She went on to say that once she painted my botched nails with the gel polish that my nails would be sealed and I would not have to worry about them chipping off, breaking, or lifting off because of the separation taking place. I have been getting my nails done for decades. What I know for sure is that any cutting is always done prior to filling and filing. It was the tool she used to cut my nails and her failure to check for any lifting. Generally, nail techs as part of the service, check for lifting and use nail glue to secure the nails back together. She did non of this. I finally said, forget it. How much do I owe for the services rendered, speaking of my completed pedicure, I was tired of arguing with Michelle and her lack of customer service and I was ready to leave. Another woman working in the shop came to me and calmed Michelle down and assured me that my nails would be fixed. (Mind you during this whole ordeal, it became so intense, that I absolutely missed the enjoyment of my 10-minute rock massage that had actually taken place while I was being yelled at by Michelle about her lack of service to me.) After being told to, Michelle finally took out the nail glue and proceeded to glue my nails down to secure them for polishing. She also cut my cuticles because she claims that not paying for a manicure in addition to the other services was why my nails were lifting, not her lack of proper servicing. Knowing that I was going to pay over $100 for the services I'd asked for I think I had every right to feel satisfied with my nail service. If I'd left the shop with her doing my nails properly, I was subject to not only my nails chipping, lifting, and/or falling off before my next appointment. In addition, any moisture getting in between my nails would surely be a feeding ground for a fungal infection. Since the sale of the business from the previous owner and new ownership taking over, I think the quality of care has taken a huge hit at this business. It's not clean or sanitized as it should be and the services lack professionalism and Integrity. I will end with, my complaint, is with Michelle. I don't know or would never assume that all the techs at this establishment service their clients this way but my experience with her was deplorable. I left and only tipped the tech who did my pedicure. I am not a difficult customer. But if I am paying for a service, I want what I am paying for. I won't ever go back or recommend Nails BB. On my way to the salon for my third visit this morning I was thinking I needed to go on and leave a 5 star review because I love this place so much. I have very rough feet and they always leave them baby soft and four weeks ago I got a gel manicure that just yesterday starting showing signs of wear. Plus it's so clean and bright and the staff is very friendly. Now normally I do my gel at home - I have the light and everything and feel I can do a pretty darn good job it just takes a while. Plus I've always been disappointed when I get it done anywhere. Last time I came in I took a chance and got the gel and Kelvin did an AMAZING job. The #2 pedicure and gel mani came to $54 plus tip. I came in yesterday for the same service and while my toes and feet are great, my nails not so much. The tech was very nice but there were several issues with my manicure including a bad cut to one finger. She tried to fix it but it still wasn't great after she made an attempt. I felt uncomfortable complaining after she had worked on them a second time so I left disappointed. Originally I just planned to come back in a few days and have the nail with the cut fixed, but I kept noticing the problems with the manicure and decided to go back and just ask them to remove the gel completely. Raymond insisted they would completely redo my manicure to make it perfect. Both Raymond and Kelvin worked on my hands, carefully removing the gel that was applied yesterday, being as gentle as possible with the cut. After taking a look at my nails, however, Raymond determined they were too weak to handle more gel today. He cleaned up my cuticles and put a protective polish on my nails and gave me a card to come back and have my nails redone in a week or two after they have time to strengthen. Everyone has bad days and accidents happen. Nails BB apologized, fixed the problem, and thanked me for being honest about my nails so that they could learn from the experience. This is exactly how a business should handle an unhappy customer and that's why I still give them 5 stars and will return again, making sure to request Kelvin! read more

My go to nail lady at another salon has been on maternity leave for a month or so ... in her absence I still needed to get my nails done so I decided to research some nail places closer to home, which led me to Nails BB. The first time I came in I saw Kevin, he did great... Overall his work was clean and neat! This second time I went (Sunday) I was informed that Kevin was no longer working there, and so I made an appointment with Elaine. She was highly recommended in Yelp reviews so I was excited to see her work. She cut them down to a length perfect for me so I was really happy. However, at the conclusion on inspection of my nails they were not done well. The gel was splotchy and didn't sit correctly. There are hairs from the brushes stuck in the polish on my pinky and thumb nail. I absolutely hate addressing these things, I get very anxious when it comes to "confrontation"... so I told Elaine they were fine and got up to pay. As I sat in my car staring at my nails I got the courage to go back in. At this point Elaine was working on her next client and had someone else waiting for her. Elaine came up and asked if there was an issue, I started showing her the mistakes on my nails and she immediately said okay I'll fix them and asked me to take a seat. I didn't have much time to wait around, I had to pick up my daughter and had Sunday errands to run. I spoke with the manager I believe? A woman with very clear English, she was really sweet. She said to let her know a day I'm free to come back and she would get me in for the fix. I've been contemplating whether or not I actually want to go back. It's frustrating now that I need to make time out of my week to get the corrections done. I work in LA and getting back home is already a drag after work, so to try and get to the salon in time to have the nails that should've been done right in the first place corrected does not sound like something I want to cut time out for. I appreciate the kindness of the manager in offering to accommodate me another day, but I'm just extremely disappointed. For someone like Elaine to have such high reviews you would think she'd have a little more pride in her work. I'm sure she noticed how the nails were coming out and should've took the time to correct them instead of passing them off as done. I gave 3 stars because it's a very clean salon with great nail color selections! The manager is sweet and the owner Kelvin is great too. Also my first time wasn't bad at all. My first visit there was fantastic! Second visit was so sad... my pedi was only the nails getting painted, no scrub for calluses, no scrubbing at all, no massage of feet or legs. Then i was charged for a full pedi. i told the owner what had happened ( also i sat for 45 minutes for toes to dry, even after trying to get anyones attention), so i told the owner what happened and she only offered to take $5 off!!!???? Her excuse was it was a new lady learning. I mentioned that she should have been paying more attention. I tried to tell the " student " lady she wasn't finished that she'd forgotten those 2 very important parts of the pedi, but she managed to convey she didn't speak English. That was A LOT OF MONEY to spend for less than a 1/3 of the procedure. I understand all prices are going up these days, but I WILL NOT spend my hard earned money on an incomplete job! Sadly, I have no inclination to support a business that doesn't care if their employees can't function at their job. Overall, from the 2 visits I feel they are trying to rush as many people through as possible. I want quality work and i'm very happy to at for it, but i'm fed up of putting up with this attitude of nail businesses only interested in pushing their employees to get clients in and out quickly.
