I hate to write this review because I love the owner, but as I told him, the girl who runs the front desk (tiny woman with bangs and a bob haircut) will be the reason why they lose customers. This was my 4th time going to this nail shop. The last 3 times I went, I've seen customers (including my sister in law) have issues with payments and extra charges being added to their service. I had that experience today. I got a simple fill on an acrylic full set, nude pink powder and medium length as she classified it. I get up to the front and I'm charged for my fill and an extra $5 because "it's medium length and my nail artist had to use more powder". More powder? On a FILL? There was less powder used than when I got my set the first time. To also add, when I got this set, which is about the same length from the first time, I was NOT charged $5 for length. So imagine my surprise to see that added. Then, customers received a promotional automated text message that stated "We are offering you 10% OFF on all of our service from 01/04/2024 to 01/14/2024". I bring this message up to the front desk woman and she tells me, "this is only for select customers". What do you mean select customers? That's not what the text message said and she was full of attitude. So I walk over to the owner and explain the situation and he was so apologetic and immediately offered and provided me a refund. But as I mentioned earlier because of the front desk lady's attitude, horrible customer service and scamming with extra fees, I will not be back to this establishment and would advise anyone else to check and question every charge she adds to your service. read more

This was my first time to Nails BB and was very impressed. The salon is very clean and modern looking. All of the staff members were very kind and helpful. Jane recommended I do a dipping powder manicure since my natural nails were long. She even added a tip for a broken nail. She did an amazing job and I'm very happy with my manicure. the artists are all incredibly sweet and talented! i love mimi:) she is amazing for nail art/designs! i come to nails bb at least 1-2x a month for mani's and pedi's, and always have a great experience. i do unfortunately need to comment about the ever-increasing costs. i have been coming to nails bb since around the start of 2024 (almost 9 months loyally now), and i feel like there are new costs added in every single appointment. they keep getting more expensive. i don't want to sound like a "karen" , but a manicure used to cover a full service with cuticle cut, buffing, shaping, colors, etc... now there is a base start price of $60+ (for gel/acrylic) and $10+ extra for ANY kinds of personalization... this includes your desired nail shape, how long/medium/short you decide, any designs (whether it's a line or extremely intricate), french tip, chrome / cat eye, if you use more than 1 color, etc etc. what is the base $60 for, if i am required to pay an additional $30+ for almond shape or chrome french tip (for example) ? i love this place!! but $ , it is just no longer in my budget read more

I made an appointment and requested Kayla because I liked the photos of her work on yelp and she said they had availability same day. However, when I got to the salon they were obviously super busy. My technician was *not* Kayla even though I had called 4 hours before and talked to Kayla, herself. Beyond that, I got gel x extensions and while they were being filed, the technician filed one of my hands way shorter than the other. I noticed when it was happening, as it's particularly bad on one nail. I asked the technician to fix it but she said it would take too long to redo and she clearly didn't want to fix it, probably because they were so busy. There was some super awkward back and forth about fixing it, too. I usually wouldn't speak up, and when I tried it just made the experience uncomfortable. Once the service ended I realized my entire left hand is significantly shorter and stubbier than the right and the left hand is square where the right hand is round. Usually a nail tech would compare the nails as they're going but that didn't happen. Basically, it looks bad. The tech apologized about it, offering me a discount for the nail that's extremely short. But ultimately I would have rather not come in at all and not paid 60 dollars for a poorly done manicure. read more

Update: I bumped the review from 1 to 3 star. The owner is working with me to fix the situation and get a full refund. He seemed very genuine and upset for me which felt very validating to my feelings. If anyone ever wants to contact him, GET A RECEIPT! It has information to reach the owner! I wished I had known this sooner. Jimmy the first nail technician I've ever been to has been horrible with details and any kind of customer service. I've worked in service all of my working life, and I was willing to handle rudeness as long as it has been met with skills. He did not, so I was absolutely upset but not as much as I am with Bobby the manager. If you ever do come here. get the other technicians, but not Jimmy and NEVER LET BOBBY TOUCH THEM. I recommend Travis and Kim since they did my friend's nails MUCH BETTER. Bobby may used to do nails, but he is out of touch with reality if he thinks he can still do it yet leave me in this state. His behavior was also icky and leaves me with bad vibes about his fake kindness. The TOUCHING he does to customers that are first timers are DISGUSTING, like we don't even know you and JUST MET YOU. He did things such as grabbing my hair clip and pretending to steal it and throwing the pearl charms at me that was being put on my friend since she was getting finished up with a much nicer nail art. My friends also had their own experience with Bobby like being called "watermelon girl", having their hand hit, and being shoved when taking their nail art taken pictures of.Leave us girls alone and let us have our night out. Without my boyfriend the next visit Bobby pressured me into without a refund, I would've just been incredibly uncomfortable with what he was going to try next. The lack of space and respect was appalling. The next visit was with unwillingly with Bobby since he was the only "technician" there, and he left my nails in major pain, cut, and mental agony. I have yet to receive the complete refund that was promised to me since my boyfriend finally managed to get for me. This was my first time going to a nail salon, but I felt like I was dealt a bad hand TWICE. First time, my nail technician Jimmy was rushing my nails since he had to go somewhere. My nail shapes were inconsistent from oval to square on my right hand, and he didn't even follow the inspo to any kind of semblance. The long petaled daisies he chose to give me were inconsistent in angles and numbers of petals, it was just horrible art for a basic design I asked for. He was just curt and rude with his attitude, like he was exasperated with me. He was so half-*** about it, and I didn't even receive a top coat, cuticle oil, or any kind of service since he just up and left me after finishing this "art". Now, the next visit was the absolute worst and was supposed to rectify my first visit. I had my boyfriend with me to defend me if I needed it, and I am thankful that he did. I was already sketched out since it was just us and Bobby, and this entire process for my nails was a whole 2 hour and a half. He ripped out a hang nail I had, and he cut my cuticle and proceeded to flood the cut with acetone and gel polish. He would constantly run through my cuticles with his long nail, but he was doing it to every single one of my fingers anytime he was painting anything, also with a NAIL FILE. It didn't even do anything since the gel polish hardened all over my skin. The nail art was too hard for him as well even though it was a simple rabbit (Miffy the rabbit), but I WISHED I had my appointment rescheduled for a real technician because he kept telling me he USED TO DO NAILS. He couldn't even do any kind of shapes, it was all too hard for him. two dots and an x for a face? Impossible for Bobby. I just asked to not have the face done since it took around an hour and a half just for a face he couldn't do. However, the ears were just as much as a struggle for him. I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, but I was held there for 2 1/2 hours against my will. My boyfriend was fighting to get a refund since I was wronged TWO TIMES. The manager was arguing with him and was trying to compare food with nails, like what?? I was mainly just sitting there upset and in pain, but when I was in focus, I heard the most baffling thing. I saw and heard my boyfriend trying to demonstrate his lack of skills by showing how terrible the ears look (the only part of the nail art that required skill), but the manager dared to say that my boyfriend didn't give him enough time to fix it. WE WOULD'VE BEEN THERE ALL NIGHT IF WE LET HIM DO THAT, HE COULDN'T EVEN DO TWO EYES AND AN X. I finally have enough of a refund to get out of this nail salon, but I am still owed the $20. This entire experience, I just felt that my kindness and patience kept being tested and being taken advantage of. Today was my first time visiting Nails BB and I really enjoyed myself! I usually do gel nails at home, but wanted to feel a bit more pampered prior to my wedding day. I called ahead two days before and booked a 0900 appointment. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very kind and professional and when I came in the day of, everyone was warm and welcoming. I got a really nice gel pedicure and a beautiful set of ombre nails that I am obsessed with :) The two women who worked on me were very gentle and detailed and I never felt rushed.
