I stopped by this location, because I had a nice experience a few years ago and I feel the salon has changed. First, it seems that the salon has gathered enough clientele that walk-ins are no longer welcome. I asked for a manicure and pedicure and young lady in the front seemed annoyed she had to assist me. It felt as if she was rushing to get rid of me. My nail polish was smeared, my pedicure was done before the person next to me, although I was sat after her and had extra service add-ons. When I asked her if somebody was going to be able to do my manicure she said "no". I don't think I've ever been to a nail salon that simply declines you a service they provide. This time I went I wanted an orange ombre to a soft nude or white. I am only giving this 1 star because I did like the color selection. I do not know why the lady I had was trying to charge a price that is different than what is posted. She not only tried to charge me more, she was very rude to me. As she was taking my old acrylic nails, she was being very rough even after repeatedly telling her she was hurting me. I felt so disrespected, I wanted to cry. She also wanted to charge me to soak my nails in acetone. Seriously?! I said no thanks, and kindly asked her to use drill to take them off. She said no. UPDATE: Went back in January of 2017. **Disclaimer - I only get full set acrylic nails here. So I can't speak for normal manicures. 1) Their nail polish selection is ATROCIOUS. Bring your own or pick between the remaining riff raff. 2) They literally solder the acrylic nails onto your actual nail. It's a pain, literally, to remove these nails. If you want to keep them for a lifetime then you'll be fine. 3) Weird how they make you pay before they put on the color, but then again the clientele in this area have probably tried to pull a fast one on them. I grew up in this area so I can attest to that. 4) Pro: they work extremely quickly so if you're in a time crunch you'll be in and out. Con: they work so quickly the work ends up being sloppy at times and they don't remove the excess acrylic from under the fake nail so your real nail can't even grow properly. 5) You're getting what you pay for. I mean this place is next to a Walmart. If you can stand the wait and other inconveniences, enjoy the cheaper prices and soaking in your regret when you see the results of your acrylic nails. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called and specifically mentioned I would be going for a full set and pedi. I get there with my mom who doesn't speak English and tell the young guy she wants a full set and I will get a pedi. I send my mother a text in English stating exactly what she wants along with color. Mimi then goes over to me while I'm getting a pedi to confirm what she wants. I show her a pic of a pink ombré. Once I'm done I go over to see my mother disappointed asking for my opinion. Her nails are horrendous. They took off her previous set did a " pink ombré" powder on her real nail. You'd think a full set meant tips being that my mom has natural short nails. After talking to my mom I ask Mimi if my mom got tips or natural she said she asked my mother if she wanted to keep her natural who said yes. If you know (I'm a regular, have been coming here for years) that my mother doesn't speak English why would you ask her. Yes my mother was at fault for saying yes not knowing what she was being asked but Mimi knows my mom doesn't speak English and had seen a picture of what my mom wanted. Now I'm sitting here waiting for an hour for a hot mess. Luckily she was willing to take off the brown and just do all over hot pink. Disappointed and upset is the least of what I feel. read more

Who rated this place highly and why did you fool me into thinking this was a decent alternative to my beloved Leon Nail that is still closed due to hurricane recovery. First off, the selection sucks. Ssshhhhhh..... Dont tell my husband, but Nathan have magic hands. Nathan only works Wednesday to Sunday. This place is the best. Complimentary mimosas, wine, water, and sodas are served. There is no one hassling you with additional services, which is a winner for me. There is plenty of parking, they are open on Sundays until 5 p.m., and best of all, Nathan was very meticulous about his work. Nailery offers several pedicure packages ranging from $20 to $50. This was my first time here, so I did not want to purchase a higher package until I saw their work. I had the Smooth package which included: a callus treatment (which was 5-10 minutes of intensive care), a pumice scrub, a 10 minute foot massage, a sea salt exfoliation scrub, hot towel and a paraffin wax treatment. A callus treatment along is $5-10 at other salons, so the extra $10 for the additional services was a no brainer. Nathan had my feet feeling so good, I was thinking about that foot massage at work (I was on my feet so long, my feet began hurting from not wearing comfortable shoes). I did not get cut, there was no blood shed, and no polish on my skin. Nathan's work was simply perfection. I will only return to see Nathan, I cannot speak about other staff members. I've been going to this nail'ery for over a year. I would occasionally get my eyebrows waxed if I couldn't get to them threaded. The last time I went, one of the technicians burned me!!!! Originally I assumed it was just red due to me waiting an extended amount of time between getting waxed... NO. They burned my eyelids. I paid for a deluxe pedicure which was $28 when I usually get a basic. This pedicure was awful he didn't clean underneath my toe nails and I did not get a hot towel wrap. When he finished with my nails I asked him if he could redo a few toes bc you can see the layering of the polish and my small toe was only partly painted. After he painted over it he asked "done?" And I asked him if he could clean it up with nail polish removal bc he was only using his nail and the polish looks so sloppy. After that he asked again "done?" I still wasn't happy but I said yes bc I just wanted to leave already. After I said yes he said "okay you can go now" and walked off. I have been to Nailery several times and am very impressed every time I go. The salon is decorated nicely and is kept neat and clean. I was offered a drink, but I wouldn't have known that they had mimosas except that I saw another lady with one, so I ordered it :) After you select your polish color, they always hand you a menu of their different levels of manicure or pedicure services so that there is no confusion on expectations, and you're not surprised when it comes time to pay at the end. I've had a different nail technician each time, but every one of them has been so neat and meticulous with a high attention to detail. They also take their time on their massages, which is really nice. The salon closes at 7pm on weekdays, but they took me in at 6:15pm and continued to give me great service without hurrying and stayed after 7pm. I would say that the price is definitely fair, especially for the quality of service and the quality of the mani/pedi. I forgot the individual prices, but I got a shellac manicure and the 2nd highest pedicure service (without the hot stones) for $60. For future reference, I asked if you could get tips with using shellac, and they said they could do that, and the extra charge is $3. The shellac manicure and pedicure lasted me easily a month, and I am typically rough on my nails with sports and dishes and whatnot. This is definitely my go-to place. read more

I went to the Nailery on my lunch break today. I made an appointment for my friend and I. I got a mani pedi and she got a pedi. This is a fairly basic nail salon. The polish selection isn't extensive. This is a non issue for me as I generally bring my own polish. Tina did my Pedicure. I got the deluxe. TOTALLY worth the $5 more. The hot stone massage and mask felt great. Paraffin was not included though I think it was mentioned somewhere. I didn't miss it, but be aware. All in all Tina did a great job and I'm pleased. Neil did my mani. I went no frills here. I just really needed them cut down. I was rocking the accidental coke pinky because they had gotten so long. Neil shot me a look when he saw it, and we laughed. He cut them all down, but went a little shorter than I would have liked. He had already started snipping away before I could object. So if you have length preferences, best to share them before he gets started. He informed me this was a good length after the fact. Pretty basic stuff here, but that's all I needed. She was very patient with me and made sure my acrylic nails were the right shape and length that I wanted. She kept asking if I liked the way they were coming out, and also offered me something to drink.
