I didn't have time to go to my usual nail salon, so I decided to stop by Raindrops since it was on the way to where I was going. There were some things that were great and other things that weren't. Pros: -Quick service. I didn't have to wait to get my manicure (and it was pretty busy) -Nail Tech was friendly -Nice facility -They have the heat/light dryers so my nails dried much faster than they normally do -Prices are reasonable ($15 for manicure) -Nails looked really nice. She did a good job of painting them Cons: -My nail tech did not do a good job of cutting my cuticles. She cut my cuticle too deep which caused it to bleed on one of my fingers and some of the other cuticles were not cut enough so I had to go back and trim them myself -My nail polish didn't last very long. It started to chip after 2 days -I wasn't offered anything to drink and didn't see the fridge until I was walking out the door Overall the experience was ok, but I will continue to go to my usual place. read more

Nail place is extremely sub par. I went to get my nails don't for relaxation and all I heard was constant yelling and talking. I believe the owner did my nails. She felt that she was a comedian and needed to entertain her staff. She stopped every 3 minutes no lie. My hour nails turned into two hours. I won't go back. Simply because it took forever. And the place is dirty. The mirror in the bathroom is filthy. The floor is filthy. They don't use liners in the pedicure spa. And I had to tell the lady to use sterilized tools on my toes. She looked at me and said they were clean. But I saw a cuticle fragment from the previous customer. Just stay clear. Unless you want bad service or fungus. Katrina the owner had the audacity to approach me about toilet paper that was on the floor in the bathroom prior to my arrival. Katrina focus on your dirty place. Decided to go to Raindrops, coz it was the closest to my place. I'm usually super picky the way my nails are done, especially the quality of the nail job!!! Overall I'm satisfied with my nails, even though they kind of hurt from being so thinned out after filing. Nail techs were nice! They offered me a drink and even a snack. I also had to be at my job interview and I was in a rush, so two nails techs were working on both of my hands. If I wasn't in a rush, I think they would've done a better job on cleaning up the access of the powder under my nails. But no excuses for real. They should be at whatever they are doing even in the fast pace environment. I also noticed that they barely sanitized their equipment, so hopefully they see my comment and take that into consideration!!! read more

Raindrops Nails and Spa is a newer salon serving the Pearland community. I stumbled upon it one day after filling up at the gas station in the shopping center next to this one. I had been going to a popular nail salon in Pearland for over three years and became dissatisfied with their service for a couple of months so I decided to give this "new" place a try. In the beginning they were great with great staff and accepted and honored appointments. Since they became busy they no longer accept appointments and there average wait time is 45 minutes. I spent $85 and even tipped $25 because I just don't feel right not tipping. But I can tell you this was not worth my money or time. Staff is friendly but quality is not good at all. Went there for the first tim a few weeks ago with two other people to get our toes done. The place looked a little packed for a Saturday, but we were willing to wait. After waiting almost 15mins (not long right) the started on our feet. Idk, if my technician was having a rough start but she hardly wanted to greet or acknowledge me. She just started working.. I wish the customer service was a lot better at this place because my toes came out decent, since i got Shellac. Even though one of my friends who got polish on her nails. Polish cafe off the following day. So I wouldn't recommend getting polish from there, but the shellac I would go back for. Just not with the same tech. read more

Amazing job. The salon is not overly fancy or anything but it's clean an peaceful. The nail techs strive for perfection and aim to please. I really wanted to like this place, but I just can't! The location is great. I went in the day before Thanksgiving with my family, so I'll give some leeway on their attitudes. But boy were they bad. I felt like a bother more than an appreciated customer. Please note we arrived at about 5pm and they close at 7. My pedicure was great. Very relaxing and not rushed at all. I got the rock and roll. However, I don't think they do a very good job of sanitation in between customers. While I was getting my pedicure done, I noticed a lady sitting two chairs down from me who asked multiple employees if they could change the temp on her water. She was repeatedly ignored and was even waved off by one employee who told her she was too busy. My shellac manicure was a waste of $30. The whole thing was rushed. She didn't have me wash my hands after filing. The polish on one hand looks significantly lighter than the other. Worst of all, three of my nails chipped THE NEXT DAY! Like I said, I really wanted to like this place. The owner seemed really nice and the pedicure was great. I think they just have a few lazy employees who ruin it for the whole bunch. read more

I visited Raindrops today and was compelled to update my review based on my recent experience. I think the technicians that work here are fantastic. I believe that they do great work. My biggest complaint with this place is that they are painfully slow. I don't know if it's that they don't have enough people working of if they just aren't concerned with respecting people's time. Midweek, 5:30 pm, pick a color, have a seat. 30 mins pass and I'm told to go to a chair. No one came, no water was put in the bowl-Did I say no one came? So I sat until I couldn't take it anymore. Almost an hour passes and I'm sitting in a chair, with a dry bowl and was never attended to. Never was offered a bottle of water. Never a word from any of the staff to say please bear with us! Nothing. Is this service worth my time and money? Methinks not. I will not return ever again! I suggest you steer clear of here unless you don't mind waiting for an unspecified amount of time. So i came in for a refill and change of color. They had me pick my color powder and i explained to the girl that i had a delicate nail because it was lifting thats why it was urgent for a refill. Shexwas super rough and it hurt so bad it started bleeding sl i would pull my hand back and say ouch so she would know because she was facetiming her daughter and then she would roll her eyes amd tell her daughter i was complaining and she would tilt her head up and breath hard. The lady told me that the color i picked was mood change that it would be one color and that when i wet them it would be another and i said okay so its this orangy color now and when its wet its yellow? and she said yes so i said it was fine. then as she was doing the acrylic it was half orange and half yellow on one nail and i asked why and she said dont worry its because theyre wet and still being worked on so then when she was done i went to wash my hands and yes they were all yellow but when i took them out they were half yellow and half orange again and not the original orange i chose. She said its mood change which i was not explained before because thats a whole different concept so the manager comes and starts explaining that they have control of how and in what areas it changes but i was explained differently and it was half and half on every nail so she said its when its hot and when its cold it changes and i told her i understand all that but as i was told and as i was okay with it being one color then another but not both colors half and half they look like candy corns. The manager said its what it is and that i have to pay no matter if i like them or not and they could do me the favor or removing them but still have to pay. i was so devastated because they were charging me $43 and i was gonna walk out with something i was not happy with. She said they did a good job i just didnt like the color i picked i said no maam this is not what i picked and she began to raise her voice and by then everyone knew what was going on and had their attention on me. she said i can re-do them and charge you an extra $43 so double. i was more and more upset but did not make a scene i just got red and said i mean how am i gonna pay for something i dont like? and she said you have to pay and said wait here. she took 25 mins and came back and said i can paint them on top with normal polish for $10 and i was like what? extra? and i did it because i couldnt walk out of there like that and i also wanted my toes the same color so they had me wait 35 more mins and they did a horrible job on my toes because she kept going to other clients and cleaning up and charging people as i was being worked on when there were many other techs there too and shes the manager and she said it would be an extra $5 since i had shellac on my toes and she would have to use the machine to take off which i saw that it actually took 20 seconds to take off rather than rubbing it off with nail polisj remover but okay..she left polish on my skin on my toe so i cleaned it off my skin next to my big toe instead of having something else to complain about and have her do it also because i was there 3 hours i wanted to leave and she turned around and saw me and grabbed my hand and pulled it away from my foot so i wouldnt clean it and she said no dont touch and i said maam its on my skin and i reached again and she pulled my hand away once again and it really upset me that she grabbed me and said it will wash off when you shower so i got up and went to the front to pay and she saw me waiting and didnt come to me for like 2 mins. i get my nails done every month and nothing like this ever happened to me. worst experience ever. i left that place paying $68 for a refill and polish on my toes. i have gone to so many places ans have paid $60 $63 for a brand new set of nails and a full pedicure. Its been a week from this experience and both my nails and toe nails are dark and black when my color is a neonish pink orange color. waste of time and money. read more

In my opinion being able to do eyebrows is a very serious thing to have down pact if you work in a nail salon and Kathy has got it. There have been too many times I've gone somewhere and and they mess up the shape or leave stray hairs, but she just did a seriously amazing clean up job and I didn't have to tell her or ask her to fix anything. Visited again for the 2nd time, service was not as good as the first visit. Got a deluxe spa pedi and the lady did not use sanitized equipment. The foot scraper still had someone else's dead skin falling from it. She attempted to use this pumice to scrub my feet that was visibly dirty and nasty looking. I asked her to use a brand new one and she did, but, the nerve of her to try and use such a filthy and visibly soiled one was very unsanitary...the pumice only costs $1 in the stores. There was only one other customer(caucasian) there besides myself which was good but I noticed she didnt seem very satisfied with her shellac mani as well..observed one of the technicians clean the spa pedicure foot area with plain water...not sure if I will b goin bac. read more

Not sure if I want to return or not. I was recommended to have Katrina do my nails but she was busy. The lady who did them took forever! Literally an hour and a half for a refill. Not happy about that. Jenny did my painful pedicure. I mean it looks great but I'll pass if it's going to hurt like it did. I really wished they used liners for the pedicures. Seeing them be cleaned with an old torn up bacteria holding sponge and a half squirt of dial soap didn't really sit well with me. I love this place it made me beleive in the power of shellac .I have gotten it elsewhere and was not up to par. I still decided to try there's and after a weekend of baking and a week of water play i have no chipping and the shine is still there.
