I get either a shellac mani/pedi or regular and have now been about 5 times. The quality has been consistent regardless of who the technician is and lasts a reasonable amount of time. The shellac lasted well beyond two weeks and a regular about 1 week until a few started to chip. I think of this place as a hidden gem! the service is great. They have a limited color selection, but all the popular OPI ones are there. Also fairly easy to get an appointment! read more

Just moved to the apartments a short walk from here, needed a pedicure desperately, walked in around 3 on a Friday and got one of the best pedicures of my life! I am very particular with my pedicures and they literally did perfect. Got the "mini spa" pedi and gel polish for $60! Horrible experience. Wasn't even welcomed nicely was told to sit and find color. But after choosing she was like oh u need to choose from these other colors. Then she didn't talk at all. She then hurt me while removing my cuticle . I said ouch she didn't do anything then it ended up bleeding. She didn't acknowledge it didn't even say sorry. Had the most silent treatment. I am disappointed to rate this place so low. I came here a month ago to have my nails done because my regular nail girl is on medical leave. I was not looking for anything special; I just wanted to do a basic French manicure and a pedicure. The pedicure was great. The manicure, OMG. I thought they would remove the old powder because I did not have it done here, AND I was 4 wks overdue because I got the flu and was sick for 2 wks! But nooooooo.....she trimmed off the edges, popped off my right thumb nail (OUCH) and proceeded to fill my nails in. They looked ok at the time, and my thumb was throbbing! As the day progressed, the nails showed their true colors: there was obviously another job under the job done currently. The lines and details were VERY clear that I had my nails previously done somewhere else; there were lines and edges that you could clearly see were buffed down where she had trimmed. She also did not clean up the powder around the nail bed so they started to separate. Plus she left them SUPER incredible thick, and they looked so unnatural. It's pretty bad when other people notice shoddy work! I walked in thinking "WOW, there are SO many people here so it HAS got to be good!" The have tons of chairs for the pedicures and lots of girls working here; they have tons of colors and glitters so I was optimistic. They work very quickly and with hardly no wait (at least I did NOT wait at al). Unfortunately, the work was disappointing,and my thumb did not stop hurting for over a week either. I've been here a handful of times for gel manis and pedicures. This nail salon is super close to my apartment so it always seems like the easiest and most convenient option when I feel like getting my nails done after a long day. My experiences here have really been hit or miss. There were a couple visits when I had a really nice nail tech and left happy with the services. However, several visits have left me disappointed. I've walked in a few times and barely been greeted by anyone. A few times I've had nail techs that were too rough for my taste and the whole thing felt rushed and messy, e.g. having my cuticles really hurt after they trimmed them too quickly or having air bubbles in my polish because it was applied too thick. This salon is more affordable than some others in the area, but honestly I'd rather pay more for a friendlier and more cheerful atmosphere! read more

The mini-spa pedi is 45-55 minutes of bliss and at only $28 (includes salt scrub and leg massage) you can't beat the price. Ask for Tammy, she takes her time, pampers your tired, feet and rubs all your cares away while the massage chair takes care of the rest. The quality of the technicians can vary. Parkview is not the most chic nail salon you'll ever go to nor do you receive the best nail service. UNLESS!!!!! You have found Wendy. Wendy is the reason I continue to come back to Parkview. Her attention to detail and tireless work ethics are absolutely amazing and make her worth the wait. High-end nail salons don't always match the work she does. And if something is wrong - you smudged your polish, your nails are still too long - tell her and she will fix it immediately. Maybe the worst full set of nails ever. I asked for coffin and she gave me round and crooked. I reiterated I wanted it square and coffin shaped. I'm not sure what shape came after that. I had to refile them myself in front of her but the damage was already done from her shaping. I tried dip powder for the first time ever and it came out lumpy. She blamed me for the way I'm holding my finger. She cut my skin with the e-file and when I said it hurt, she said don't worry, it won't cut you. She said she would take the entire set off and redo it but it was already 2 hours in for a dip powder and I had to go to the airport. She discounted me $5. So I've been here about 3-4 times to get shellac and pedicures and every time was great until today. Mind you I've never gotten power/acrylic here until today so this is main reason I needed to write this review. This took 2 hours.... Mainly because of so many complications: 1) The powers are all in plastic tubs that you have to manually look through and you don't know if they have glitter specks in them or not until they set it on your nails (happened 3 times to me trying to pick my colors cause I couldn't tell...) 2) the power didn't stick to the fake nail they set on my nail (30 minutes of going back and applying more and more powder) 3) the fake nail is not glued to the bottom tip of my nail like how it's suppose to be. It's set more towards the middle which means when I look at the nail (fingers up) I can see TWO nail ends. 1 is the fake nail with my red powder and the 2nd is my actual nail below. WTF... 4) she had to buff my nail at least 3 times because she kept missing areas. But before buffing she applies oil which means she can't tell which is shiny from the oil or the buff. 5) honestly been there so long I just wanted to leave. read more

She started taking my shellac off but stopped and said "I have to go home, I'm Not doing this, I'm not getting paid!" Then she comes back to take them off but said I have to talk to Wendy (who is out of town and unreachable but will be there the next day) about who is going to do them, but that she wasn't going to do it. Sloppy and unprofessional... My sister and I went in for a gel manicure and I was so excited for some sister bonding. As my manicurist was painting my nails I noticed she had painted all over my skin and cuticles, but I assumed she would clean them up before she was done. When she started putting her supplies away I pointed out how sloppy the edges were and asked her if she could clean them up. In an attempt to remove the nail polish, she used her cuticle scissors to cut my skin. When she said she was done my nails were still a mess and my cuticles were bleeding. I did not want to leave paying for nails that looked like I did them in the dark with my left hand. I told her I wasn't happy with how they looked and asked her to remove them. As she began to soak my nails she told me she wouldn't charge me for the gel nails but I would have to pay for a manicure. I was completely dumbfounded. She did a terrible job painting my nails, mutilated my fingers, and wasted my time. When I told her I wasn't paying for a manicure she stopped taking off my nails and let me leave the salon looking like this. It was an incredibly unprofessional and disappointing experience. I see that other customers have posted similar stories, so how this place has any stars is a mystery to me. Please, save your time, money, and cuticles and go ANYWHERE else. read more

No, its not fancy, they don't rub your shoulders, and barely rub your feet or legs. They do a great fast shellac mani, and clean pedicure with minimum chit chat. Their prices are reasonable, and they take last minute appointments. I was less than impressed with their waxing ability, and not doing it in a private room. I spent less than $100, got a shellac mani, pedi, lip and eyebrow wax. I would def. go back based on my experience, but will probably opt for the basic mani/pedi. read more

I have been going here for years and used to love it. I have now had a sum total of three really poor manicures, one shellac and the others were regular nail polish. They are sweet and try to do a good job, but I just think they rush sometimes and are not as careful as they should be. The salon is not very clean or well-maintained--actually, I think it is overused. There are always a TON of customers in there! The massage chairs are almost all broken or on their last legs...the place reeks of acrylic and I wish they had a ventilation system. Also, their products (scrubs and mud masks) smell medicinal and leave your skin oily instead of moisturized. The biggest tip off to me was going to a different nail place two weeks after going to Parkview and them spending a half hour trimming cuticles and evening up my nails. They should have been done well enough that it shouldn't have taken that long. It just speaks volumes about the lack of thorough work on the nails. read more

I'm gonna have to give this place 3 stars because 2.5 isn't an option! I got a full set of birthday nails done by Tracy which I actually really like! She was focused, did a great job, and didn't make me bleed so that's always a plus! I also got a pedicure done by Dan or Jan; I couldn't really read the name on her scrub top. She was older and barely said a word to me. I thought she was doing a fine job... she didn't hurt me or anything, but when I got in the car after my appt was over I noticed my heels were kind of catching on the fibers of my floor mats and that never happens! I reach down to feel my feet and they feel like razors! She left huge chunks of skin unbuffed after she "grated" my feet. The thing is, my feet are never rough in the first place, so I was confused as to how after a spa pedicure they were more rough than we I arrived! Obviously, I had driven off at this point so there was just no turning back to complain after being there for 2 hrs. I would definitely see Tracy again, but if I even thought to get a pedicure from them, I would seriously inquire about the others before getting in the pedi seat again. read more

Each time I have been here they are rushing me through like an assembly line. Their description on the "menu" of services claims a 10 minute massage for both the basic and deluxe package...I've timed it and it is 3 minutes for the longest I received. I've been here a couple of times and across the board, I definitely regret spending $60 on a shellac mani and regular pedi. I went in last week to get them done, and later that night my shellac was peeling. The young lady doing my nails was very careless and I had to stop her a few times to get her to do things correctly, like file my nails in a straight line (she left one at a complete diagonal!!) and letting dust get in between the nail polish layers. I actually had to get the file from her to try and fix my nails so they weren't so uneven. By the next day, 5 nails were peeling off. I'm giving two stars because I went in the next day and they redid my nails at no cost. It's been less than a week and three nails chipped in the past two days... My pedicure is also pretty sloppy. The paint layers are uneven and she got a bunch of paint on the cuticle so it looks like I did it myself while drunk. Yeah don't go here. read more
