I would give this place 2.5 stars. Made an appointment for a shellac mani and regular pedicure on a weekday at 6PM. They rushed through the the whole thing even though they close at 7:30. My shellac turned out ok but started to peel a few days later, they did not clean up around the edges of my nails. And they hardly gave me an arm/hand massage - they just put lotion on my arm for about 10 seconds and then told me I was done!! Won't be coming back. read more

I visited this shop on 10/24/19 for a POLISH CHANGE. My nails were recently done but I did not like the shellac polish color. So I arrived here at 5:05. I picked a color. The nail tech put cotton, acetone, and foil on my nails. She apparently left it on too long and she used the end of a cuticle tool to scrape the polish off and guess what she was also scraping the acrylic off. An HOUR later as she is polishing my nail I see all of the humps and dips in my nails. She ruined my perfectly good nails and took an hour and five minutes to do it when all I wanted was a polish changed. Oh and still charged me $20!!!! Don't go here.the service is subpar and slow. read more

I used to love this place. I've gone here for months. I decided to come get my acrylic off (it was time). I came on a mellow Tuesday. There was 2 other women there and I asked the nail tech to soak my nails in acetone because they are weak and that I'm going on a break from getting my nails done to allow them to strengthen. She clearly was upset about this and started taking a fake nail and shoving it between my nails and the acrylic. I kept telling her that it was painful and even pulled away but she continued to. I had to remind her to soak them and she still disregarded my wishes and YANKED them off. After she was done tearing my nails apart I went to wash my hands and overheard her complaining about me to the other technicians. Little did she know I'm half Vietnamese and understood every word she said. To keep it short I will never return even after months of great service. I have been going here for many years now and I love the place. Not the cheapest pedicure but one of the best by far without going to an expensive spa. Everyone is SO friendly. They always remember my name and my preferences (I'm just not into the mask and would rather have a longer salt rub and massage). They always ask about my daughter. The chairs are FANTASTIC. And one of my favorite aspects is that they are open on Sundays. That's my day -- not crowded at all, and I just walk in. I highly recommend Parkview Nails. read more

I give this place two stars for the service, everyone was very nice... But, my "gel" set and pedicure are already lifting and chipping, not even a week since having them done. First, the selection of shellac is sparse, and very dirty and unorganized. My hands were covered in sticky shellac just by looking at the bottles. They also did not have really anything to match my shellac color to my toes (I picked an OPI shimmery brown) Second, I said more than once that I wanted a gel fill, and not acrylic. As she pulled it out, I reiterated, but she told me that she knew, it was gel. I just moved here from Florida, so I'm not totally sure if things maybe look different around here, so I just gave in, also being in a hurry. But I know that this is acrylic. The nails have already started lifting. My last gel set has been going strong for a couple fills now with no lifting until about 3 weeks. They didn't cut off the lifted edges, instead just went over them with acrylic, which has obviously resulted in the loss of a nail, on a Sunday evening, a night before starting a new job. Also, she hand filed my nails instead of using the drill, so they look like lumps. I pointed out mistakes, but the corrections never got much better. Third, the shellac manicure itself is all over the place... It's past my cuticles, and the only way to fix that is to file it, and my hands are way to sensitive for all that. It looks like I painted my own nails using my left hand. My pedicure chipped after three days. I feel bad writing this review because the ladies were so sweet and kind, and I appreciate that! Really friendly, prices are very affordable, and they do an excellent job. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they turned out, great shape, took their time, very gentle. Beware: they like to reuse everything and threw a fit when I asked them to use new Emory boards, and orange and blue buffing pads, and clean tools. I was shocked by how incredibly rude some of the employees were! They don't wear name tags and the lady who did my nails was too busy gossiping and attempting to skin my fingers to respond when I asked her name... I told her exactly what I wanted, length, thickness, amount of white tip, etc. before she started working on my nails... She said she understood but judging by the terrible job she did, she has no clue how to do nails. My nails are now different lengths, the powder is even with the cuticle/skin around the nails, the cuticle/skin on every finger is cut and/or raw from being sanded with the emory board, and the white tips look like a child was coloring outside of the lines. I tried multiple times to point out things that weren't right (uneven white tips, different lengths, etc) but every time, she would look at the nails and say "no" or "no, that's fine." So now I'm stuck with nails that look terrible and no time to go somewhere else to have them re-done. read more

I made an appointment to get a Shellac manicure ($30) on a Friday evening and by Saturday night, the polish was already chipping. The manicurist was incredibly rushed and did a sloppy job. The places were the paint overlapped my cuticle and skin were the places the polish was peeling back. I went in the next Monday to ask them to redo them. They weren't out-and-out rude about having to redo them... but I got a lot of dirty looks and was made to feel generally uncomfortable. The same manicurist came to redo them - she was obviously feeling inconvenienced. In her rush, she made several of my cuticles bleed from pushing them too far back. They looked better the second time around... but the experience was definitely not enjoyable. I've gotten two pedicures from this salon - they were both average. Nothing to complain about, but for the price, I think you can find better places... read more

Let me start off by saying I used to go to this nail salon about 15 years ago. I was a regular during the summertime an ex-girlfriend brought me there and we would go as a couple. Back then the ladies were very very friendly even after me and my girlfriend broke up I would continue going in the summertime and the ladies were still nice to me. I think sometimes as a guy when you go into a nail salon they assume you don't know the routine such as pricing etc. so here it is years later I go back expecting great service etc. I got the basic pedicure manicure did not want any extras however one of the ladies kind of strongly suggested that I get some extras for my manicure not a pedicure just a manicure. I agreed and ask how much the up charge was she said it wasn't that much . Great no problem but when I get done and go to pay I noticed that the up charge was charged more along with the regular mani/pedi. I think she assumed that I wasn't going to tip ....so in my mind I believe she went on and put her tip in there ,then when I put my card in she looks at me and said are you going to tip. Well I'm sorry I will not be back ever I found another place where the ladies encourage men to come and get pedicure/manicures and you don't feel like you're being up charge . By the way the basic manicure pedicure was $25 I was going to tip on top of that needless to say I was expecting to pay about 40 bucks for a pedicure manicure I end up spending $58. I'm not mad that I had to pay $58 but if I have to pay $58 I wanted a $58 pedicure manicure not a $25 pedicure manicure and paying $58 for it read more

I've come to Parkview for the last 6 years for waxing and manicure/pedicures. The prices are very reasonable and I have never had a bad experience. At times it can be very packed, but their services are worth the wait. The employees are friendly and have never pressured me into purchasing an upgrade in services like some other nail salon employees tend to do. read more

It was busy but no one even acknowledged our entering the salon but yet the two women that entered a few minutes after us were both greeted. No offense to people in the nail/beauty industry but I personally do not want to talk when I get my nails or hair done. I just want to relax and stare into space. This is my absolute favorite nail salon! I used to live nearby, and I would come every 2 weeks to get my nails done by Vi. I have since moved across town, and even though I no longer live close by, I still make it a point to drive 30-45 minutes to get my nails done here! My favorite nail techs are Vi, Helen, and Tran. Cut me TWICE! I have been here numerous times, but now this is the second time I have been cut so badly it bleeds. The first time was during a pedicure I thought maybe it was just a bad day, etc. Like I said, I have been here probably 20 times before so I thought I would give them a second chance. I went here for a quick pedicure with a girlfriend at lunchtime. The GOOD: lots of colors to choose from, no wait. The BAD: There was no place to set our purses, so on the floor it went. At some point during the pedi, apparently my foot tub leaked....all over my soft, grey, Badgley Mishka bag. The UGLY: My bag. Now that it has a 1 1/2 inch foot-water line along the entire base. I know that accidents happen, and this was an unfortunate one. However, what really ticks me off is that I wasn't offered a discount, or anything other than a mumbled apology. Really, for ruining the gorgeous leather on my handbag, I should NOT have had to pay a dime. C'mon Parkview...these are the basics of customer service. I wish I had the fire in me at the moment to protest, demand a manager, blah blah, but honestly I just wanted to be relaxed, and still had hope that when it dried it would be fine (not the case). I went to Parkview Nails on New Year's Eve for a regular mani/pedi and was seated in a spa chair immediately. I was surprised there was no wait on a typically busy day for nails! This was my first time at Parkview, and I tried it because of the proximity to my apartment. Despite the average reviews, I actually had a good experience here. I love this place. I discovered them about two years ago and have been going ever since. They are very kind and really care about customer service. Most of the time, I can walk right in and be seated within 5 minutes. The only time that I was asked to wait have was on a couple of accasions when I dropped in on a Saturday afternoon. I clearly am not the only person that loves this place so I completely understood the wait time. I made an appointment to come back on Sunday instead of waiting. That's right, Sunday. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Not only was the technician incredibly slow (even though I stressed I was in a hurry) her work was sloppy. If she was going to move at a snails pace I would expect better work. I got a full set of acrylics with what was supposed to be American manicure tips. What she put on we're these God awful silver tips. Her acrylic applications was way too thick and sloppy. She also glued part of my thumb to the tips and was pulling so hard to get it off she ripped my skin. The lady changing the polish on my toes was somewhat decent but again extremely slow. It's Christmas eve and the fiancé and I were doing some final shopping and felt the need for a couples pedi. They we're awesome! Not only open, but happily available. The staff were giving each other manicures, but stopped everything to accommodate us. Very satisfied. Also, had a small chip with my shellac on my index finger, in which one of the technicians fixed, and also added another coat to all of the rest of my fingernails. I've been to this nail salon before and have never been super pleased with any of the work. Unfortunately it was a convenient stop for today. Going in to relax from a stressful week and be pampered I went for a full set and pedicure; both overdue. They weren't really that packed so I was seated quickly. After asking and then being told there was only one type of pedicure I started my massage chair and off they went. First the pedicure; she removed the polish, pushed my cuticles back, and scrubbed my feet (not very thoroughly) and then began to massage my legs. I figured after she did the massage that she would do all the pricking and poking and what have you, but to my surprise, she grabbed the polish and was about to begin painting my toenails. I asked her if she was finished, and she replied "yes" as if SHE were surprised. I pointed out a few things I'd like her to tend to and with this aggravated look on her face she did them and not asking me if it was ok, she proceeded with the polish. So, I let it go although at this point I was getting agitated. Now, while this is going on I have the other lady tending to my nails and while the massage chair is shaking my whole entire body she is having a difficult time keeping my hands steady so I just stop the darn thing. As I tell her I'd like my nails shorter and shorter she begins to get what seems like an attitude. At this point I'm ready to walk out of the place. I let her finish my nails and we move to the front of the salon for her to paint, and put some diamonds on my nails. Asking for a simple design, she fails at doing that correctly. I figured since I'm paying such an outrageous price for such terrible service then I'm going to get them the way I want them, so I had her redo them. I go to the a nail salon regularly and this is probably one of the worst I've been too. Going in to relax was the worst idea ever, considering I walked out more stressed than before.
