My mom and I have come here for years, and they have always been very good to us. The ladies are all very kind and helpful. It is not necessarily the most glamorous nail salon, but it has really good, competitive prices that keep me coming here from across town. And they do a good job! If for some reason you are not pleased with how something looks, you can always tell them and they will help to fix it for you. I'll be coming here for years to come!

Love coming here! I get a shellac French tip manicure ($30) and it looks great every time! Treated myself to a deluxe pedicure ($25) as well,

This place is so awesome! Everyone does an amazing job! I stumbled upon this place one day for a gel mani and I left very satisfied! Take a look at my photos to see that they do offer quality. Make sure you book an appointment because they can be really busy. They have a wide variety selection of colors. I forgot the name of my nail tech but I'll definitely be back soon!

I just moved to Houston from Atlanta and trying to find a new nail salon is not always easy and/or fun. I called in advance to get their prices and they seemed fair - everyone charges about the same in the area. Not a very big salon but the nail techs are very friendly and inviting. I asked for SNS (in Atlanta it's known for "sns", here in Houston a lot of nail salons call it dipping powder but it's the same thing). There was not many colors to choose from so I chose white! The pedicure experience from Summit Nails was great! The deluxe pedicure was awesome! Sugar scrub, paraffin wax, callus remover, and hot towels ALL for $25! I loved every bit of it! The nail experience was okay - Step 1 - Soaking of the nails Step 2 - Shape and clean up (also cleaned my cuticles which came with the $40 price) Step 3 - Dipping; You could tell that the techs weren't knowledgeable of the dipping powder method. Finally, everything was decent for a new nail salon until they put GEL on top of my SNS. I told the tech that, that's defeating the purpose; she just worked so hard dipping my nails, and the price I just paid - ALL TO PUT GEL ON TOP (final coat). (I've been getting dipping sns/powder for 6+ years so I know that correct way). I was frustrated yet had mixed emotions. I went two days ago and the gel coating is now peeling!

Just don't go to this place. Two stars for price and no wait but still was not worth it. They were nice and professional but honestly just did a bad, sloppy job. Almost seemed like they were brand new but I know they weren't. As you can see by the picture, my toes look incomplete and sloppy. Seemed careless and I will not be returning. I only tried it because my usual spot is now closed on Sundays.

I came to Summit nails because it was in walking distance of where I live. I came for a shellac manicure and french pedicure ($5 more than a regular pedicure). The lady at the front desk barely spoke english and it took a couple tries for her to even understand what I wanted. I was satisfied with the french pedicure! She did a great job shaping and painting my nails in a square like I liked. However, the shellac manicure was pretty bad. A different lady was doing my manicure while I was getting my pedicure done. I usually like to have them done at different times so I can enjoy them both. She was very rushed and didn't do a very good job. It was awkward because she put the UV light on my lap for me to put my hands in. It kept falling off and turning off. To be honest, I probably could have done a better job myself on my finger nails. Also, the whole time they were talking in a different language and laughing. Really is uncomfortable and makes you think they are talking about you! The price was $45 + tip. I don't think I will be returning to Summit Nails.

Love, love, love Summit Nails! They treated me with all the love and tender care that I was hoping to get. Honestly, it's probably not the fanciest place but the quality of work and care is superb. Definitely worth the $25 dollars I paid! Also, the picture I attach is 2 weeks out, it still last and hasn't broken off. I'm ready to come back for a refill! (:

Love this salon! I don't get my nails done very often but they might just change that. Was pretty indecisive about what to get but they just have so many options, I will be back soon!!

came yesterday (thurs) afternoon to get my nails done for my senior prom! i called ahead and booked an appointment for my group and the salon was very accommodating! i had a group of 6 people total, and they do give group discounts, so that was a plus. the location itself is a little tucked away, but there was plenty of parking. when i walked in, i saw that there was a very wide range of colors to choose from, and i opted for a royal blue acrylic manicure, which was $30. the price is great for the quality of work. camille did my nails, and she was absolutely fantastic! we chatted for a bit while she did my nails, and then i got my brows waxed. it was quick and easy- took maybe 10 minutes maximum with no pain at all. overall, i am very satisfied with the results. i will definitely recommend Summit to all my friends for their mani/pedi/waxing needs!

They updated their chairs and now 25.00 for mani pedi

This place has been updated some with new chairs and less clutter...It is no longer the 20 dollar Mani Pedi spot...it is now 25 and they try to upsell you to the 35 spa mani pedi...I kind of have a love hate relationship with this place...Being a guy I do not need anything too fancy...I find this place to be ok when you're on a budget...Although the last time I was here they cut the Sh*% our of my pinky cuticle which took almost 2 weeks to heal...It's still not as pricey as other places..Yet you get what you pay for...

Great quality, Un pressured, peaceful, $20 mani pedi!!!!! I was starting to feel the way these other reviews had until my last three visits. I would go there for the price and felt hassled the entire time. It has closed and reopened and in such a drastic way. You now feel relaxed and un pressured with receiving great quality mani pedi at the unbeatable $20 price. Heaven! Thank you!

    My girlfriends nude dip powder

Amy did an absolutely fantastic job on my girlfriend's dip powder nails. The pricing is great for the area and the service is friendly and has a very family feel to it. And they also gave me gave me vietnamese coffee during my wait!

Truth be told, this was my first ever professional mani pedi! I didn't know what to expect yet somehow, I expected more than what I got here. The staff (there were 6 women when I was the only person there) didn't greet me or anything when I walked in so I kind of moseyed around for a few minutes until someone shepherded me into a chair. The mani pedi itself was quick but not as skillful as I would have thought. Not all of my nails were covered and I got a couple of small cuts.

Price list is on the left right as you enter and so are the nail colors are selections

So first, when we went there most of the nail polish colors my friend wanted or I were out, but there was not way to know until your technician told you. We went through this process for a few rounds before finding out what colors weren't available. I wasn't use to this because usually other nail salons I go to either mark on the nails itself that it's out or take out that sample completely, so customers won't bother with it. Then when we had the nails done, I know they kept pushing my friend for a higher priced nail set, when she was clear and adamant he wasn't interested in the pricier items, but they wouldn't let it go. It's supposed to be a peaceful experience not an upsale. So getting my nails itself, done was okay. However, I was trying to salvage a bad situation with my friend, because what a horrible impression. When I go pay, I present my gift certificate. The cashier declines it. It's a Isle Pedi Spa gift certificate. Mind you, my husband had previously spoken to a manager about the gift certificates being lost, how they'd honor them, all that jazz. That was already handled. However, the front desk told me there was no manager on site and when she called "a manager" no one answered or picked up. I just don't think they wanted to accept it. So they have me wait. It's like 15, 20 minutes and the manager doesn't call back. What if it was an emergency and what establishment doesn't have a manager on duty? What if a lady got injured? So the front desk cashier, was like, leave your number and if they accept it they'll call you. To which I said, I rather just talk to the manager, regardless whether the gift certificate is honored or not to address my concerns. She does make a note of it, but no manager calls. I paid the full price, but I also feel money was wasted on gift certificates and this business pretended no manager was ever on duty to get away with this type of behavior. No thank you. There are way too many nail salons in Houston to put up with this kind of foolishness. Hell, I've gone to pricier ones and cheaper places with better customer service. Like I said there are a million great cheap and expensive place. This isn't it. An absolute pass.

I came in for a manicure pedicure. For the manicure, I wanted builder gel with design on a couple of my nails and pedicure. Just a regular gel pedicure Pedicure: if I come back again, it's only exclusively to get a pedicure done and that to a basic gel pedicure. And that's because of the 20% of discount that I can get. Other than that, even the pedicure was suboptimal. The massage was just a lady rubbing her finger around in circles around my foot and a little bit of my ankle. No pressure whatsoever and didn't even massage my calf. On top of that, everyone around me was getting a neck massage after or some sort of back massage. I didn't get anything like that. The pedicure cost for what I get is still pretty expensive including the 20% off discount where I might as well go somewhere else get everything I get for the same exact cost. Manicure: I'm actually embarrassed right now to show my nails off for the next month. I do nails at home so I have somewhat of an idea as to how the quality of the builder gel should look as well as certain nail paint and nail design. I got a cat eye done, and I can see the brush strokes of the nail paint on my nails of the cat eye. I can also see the difference of the layers that she did on my nails. I can see the basic nail paint then I can see on the side of my nail where she didn't cover my entire nail with the cat eye color. On top of that my nails are not rounded evenly. They are all not equal in length. The nail paint isn't even applied evenly. It's applied at an angle so you can tell where it's close to touching my cuticle to where there's a solid gap between my cuticle area and the nail polish. The design isn't even remotely close to what I showed her. When I made the appointment, I asked them to book me with someone who can do nail art because I've had bad experience with nail art not looking remotely close to what I show. They promised they would book me with someone who's experienced. I hate to say this, but I could have done a better nail art job by myself. The cherry on top for me was when I had to apply my own cuticle oil on my own nails. At the end of the day if I ever come back here, it's to get a basic pedicure done with the 20% off discount. They are not good at doing cat eye. I'm not saying this based off of my experience. I'm also saying it based off a couple of friends who got cat eye here and were disappointed. The level of work I got done with the 20% off discount is how much I pay at a regular nail salon so I might as well just go to regular nail salon especially if they up-charge here to then give me a " 20% off ".
