They offer good deals, great work, and Barbi says they have good prices and even better service. Not impressed with the quality of the mail polish used and the application. Higiene was also an issue. Lady used a cuticle cutter that was full of previous client's cuticles, so not sterilized or even wiped down with alcohol or disinfecting agent. This was the third polish I chose because the previous two colors were old and sticky. While the place itself is decent and convenient, the standards are quite low. I'm disappointed and don't recommend this place. read more

DO NOT GET THE OLDER LADIES! They cut you, cough a lot, & don't paint good. Prices are higher than I've ever paid at other places but you can't beat the service & interaction of the rest of the staff. Just to be clear, I love this place & will away keep coming. I don't recommend. The lady cutting my cuticles was going so fast she was leaving little cuts along the way. But for me the worst part was that they dilute their polishes with paint thinner so much. When you add thinner or even acetone to a polish you diminish the quality of the paint so it takes forever to dry and when it finally does dry the paint chips and indents so easily. I hate it when salons are cheap and instead of buying new polishes they dilute them. After a couple of days my polish was coming off so I removed it instead. Money down the drain. read more

I live in the neighborhood and I try to avoid using their services but I was in a bit of a rush and gave them another try. Unfortunately, they don't use proper hygiene with their instruments, they are obviously dirty and not fresh out of an autoclave. The technician was rushed and aggressive, I almost walked out mid-pedicure, do not waste your money and take a chance of getting an infection from dirty tools. This was my first time visiting this nail salon. I wanted to find somewhere closer by my home and a tad cheaper. Everyone was really friendly and I didn't have to wait long as a walk in. That was a plus! I went in for coffin nails. I paid $30 for my set which is cheaper than where I went to before. They did have to OPI shade that I wanted. I have been coming here for about 5 months because it's close to my house and I have paid a different price every time. I hate that I came here because of the reviews that are complete BULLSHIT! Don't waste your time or money here. I came to get a pedi, dip powder set and eyebrows. The lady that did my pedi cut my big toe nail too short so now it looks weird. I got there at 1:45 and didn't leave until 3:45. My dip powder set was not the way I wanted it and she messed up so she had to start over. I told her I had to be at work at 4. She said OK. She did the white tip too thin and the nails too short and I wanted them squared. She did them square round without even asking me how I wanted them. I told her I wasn't happy and she said to come back that she would fix it but she was insisting on me doing the regular powder that it would last longer and now I know that she wanted me to change my mind because she didn't know how to do the dip powder technique. This place will vary a lot with quality, but the good technicians usually only work by appointments. So walk-ins will still leave you looking like you painted and shaped your own nails with a blindfold on. They will also constantly switch up the price on you for the exact same service. Last time I went there, they ignored a crack in my acrylic and went over it with more acrylic- trapping moisture in the crack and causing fungus to grow under the nail which was caught by a different salon, and now I can't wear acrylic nails for about a month. Licensed nail techs are supposed to inspect each nail for any cracks and remove all of the acrylic completely and replace it if they find any. Obviously this was too much work for them. Don't be fooled by the prices, you definitely get what you pay for here. read more

She hurt me with the file many times and I repeatedly asked her to be careful. In addition, she cut me in two places and was unable to trim my cuticles properly. Ugh if i cloud give zero stars I would . I went to get a full set + regular pedicure . I originally wanted the color pink and the nail technician kept insisting on the new colors they had and I decided to trust her and went with a color she said . When I told her I wanted square shape she said it was boring and I told her because I am a nurse I can't have long nails, she didn't reply anything back. The lady doing my pedicure was taking forever I told her a total of 3 times that I didn't want my toe nails cut just filed square shape . Not only did She cut ALL of my toenails but she severely messed up my big toe. It was at the point where when it bled they all started talking in there language because it wouldn't stop bleeding for seconds. I paid a total of $70 which I think it's idiotic. When I asked her why so much she replied with "it's your nails" and pointed at my hands . You guys look at my nails and tell me if that's worth the price. But in my opinion my nails look horrible the nails are so thick and not filed enough , my toe is still bleeding and she just painted over it. WORST SERVICE . read more

I had a couple of times that the technician cut me or my daughter and I thought I'd find a new salon. I went to another place 2 times, loved the price and thought I was getting a good deal, but then I couldn't go all the way to the other place, so came back here. I am so glad I did. Bonnie did an amazing job. She was meticulous working with my toes, getting all those cuticles. She offered another service, no pressure, and I am glad I decided to go with the salt scrub. It was only $4 more than the other place for a basic pedicure, and the other place didn't do my cuticles, or if they did, they only did the obvious ones. I will be a regular here once again! So I get there and as soon as I get in they ask me for what I want. I proceed to tell them that I want a full acrylic set and they sit me down. A lady came soon after and gave me some options that would be better and wouldn't damage my nails as much as acrylics would. (I had gone bowling the day before and two of my nails had broken) So I take her recommendation. She was very considerate and nice, she would constantly ask me if I was okay when she was preparing my nails and she would ask me if I liked my nails. I had a good experience here. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and they greeted me immediately and asked what they could do for me. I said a pedi and they said pick and color and take a seat. They offered me a drink, either wine, soda or a water. I so wanted that wine, but I am nursing so I figured I should pass this time. They filled my tub up and I was just relaxing. The only thing is that I was "relaxing" for quite a while. They weren't too busy but it did take a while for them to get to me. This is my reason for only 4 stars vs 5. I've been going to this nail salon since I moved back to Houston a year and a half ago and honestly I'm not sure why it took me so long to decide to seek out other options. I guess the convenience of it being so close to my house and nicely price kept me there. But to be honest with the quality of the polish they use is questionable. I have ALWAYS used OPI polish and it lasts FOREVER on my toenails. Every. Single. Time. I have gotten my toe nails painted here I have a chip or imperfection days later. In the salon I went to for 5+ years used OPI and I could leave the polish on for over a month with no chips (I know that's bad but I seriously didn't have to get my toes done that often because of that). Here I'm convinced they are thinning the polishes or something because it just doesn't make sense. I have tried a bunch of different techs and no matter who I used or even if I switched to a diff brand, I still had issues. The staff is friendly and the salon is nicely designed (they have gone over board recently with new decor & painting that makes it not a chic as it used to be when they first opened) but I just can't keep going and feeing like I need a touch up 2 weeks later. I've moved on and decided to look for better, consistent options based on Yelper's reviews. read more

I came here few days ago to get my mani-pedi done. It was such a great experience in comparison with other nails salon o have been to. Honestly, I really liked this place. The service was very nice. The good thing that made me like this shop is that they always keep the shop clean and bright. Also, the designs they have on the wall just look so amazing. Very nice shop! Came for my first time because i just came to the area. I came in and i knew not having an appointment i would have to wait a while. I wanted a nail take off because my previous set of nails were terrible. And i wanted a new set. They asked what i wanted, i found out it would be about an hour wait and that was expected. I picked my color and waited in the waiting area, they offered me refreshments which was nice. Ms Quhnh was my technician and when i say she pays attention to every single detail, she doesn't miss a thing. I've never gotten care for my nails like i did today, even going to "high end" salons. I originally went here on the recommendation from some ladies that live in my neighborhood. I've been looking for a place near my house and thought why not? Worse case scenario is I don't like my mani/pedi and look for another place. Plus, 20% off? Sounds like a good deal, right? Yeah, not so much. That wasn't the worst case scenario. While I was there, there were about five women working and maybe four clients. It seemed like they were busy but weren't? I waited quite a bit for them to start my manicure. Once they did, they seem to be doing an okay job. The girl cutting my cuticles was kind of hurting me, so I kept jerking my hand to let her know. Halfway through, she switched off with someone else who clearly rushed to finish my mani. I can see where the polish is uneven, and it's on almost every single nail. After that, they waxed my eyebrows. NEVER AGAIN! They ripped off at least half of my eyebrows! I asked her to just clean it up, and I ended up with incredibly thin ones where they look like I just drew a line over my eyes. I tried to tell her that's not what I wanted, but the damage was done, and she kept insisting they looked pretty. Pretty, huh? Yeah, my husband actually laughed at me when he saw my eyebrows. That's how bad they are. Not only did she take 70% of my eyebrows, she also ripped my skin. I have scabs, SCABS, where the hair once was. I have never, EVER, in my life had such a bad job done. Now I must wait for the hair to grow back, wear my glasses every day, and hope no one notices. Thank goodness for thick rimmed glasses and poor vision! My pedicure was merely okay. The nails are uneven, and some of the polish looks off. Not as bad as my hands though. The ladies there are very nice and offered me a complimentary drink over and over again, but I didn't partake. That's the only reason why I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. Still, I personally wouldn't recommend this place, and I also think it's a bit questionable that they only have three people licensed of the five working. Never again! Nope.
