I've been going to CK NAILS since they opened. IT WAS A FABULOUS NAIL SALON!!!When the original owners (Bob & Kathy) sold to the present owner things slowly changed. The lady who did my pedicure definitely rushed it. Although I only got polish, she did not put me under a dryer or dry my nails at all. She barely spoke to me and did not even tell me her name. Dried my cuticles w/their process of removing dip, filed down too much when first application applied to my nail-it burned and dip was applied very thick. I'm also worried that the top of nails was sanded down so much that I will start getting ridges. Most importantly, I have naturally large and nice nail beds, I like my dip to look natural as my nail grows out. read more

I needed an emergency mani, and CK nails booked me with just half an hour's notice. The man (owner?) was very friendly over the phone and when he greeted me at the door. They have a cool check-in system which records your choice of color, which makes life so much easier, can't we agree? Also, 10% off for new customers! The place itself is very small but quaint. It didn't have the light, cold, airy, hospital feel that is trending now in salons, but I actually liked the dark, warm, homey quality of CK. It appealed to my Asian sensibilities. Vy was my tech, and she did a wonderful job with my dip mani. She was also very neat and patient. Even when I was torn between two colors, she dipped a test nail in both to help me decide. I'm very happy with the quality of the work and pricing ($43 for removal and dip, $39 with new customer discount). Though this was supposed to just be an emergency destination since my usual place was booked, but I think I'll give this place another go in a couple of weeks and possibly make it my new spot. I came to get my shellac taken off and to get another shellac manicure. The lady that did my manicure, destroyed my nails by how she took my polish off, she literally filed it off and once it was off, she continued to file layers of my natural nail off. Now my nails are weak and paper thin, even with the shellac polish on. I'm now going to have to cut my nails off and take months to completely grow my nails back out. She clearly had no knowledge of nail health or how to correctly take off shellac nail polish. It's safe to say, ill never let anyone touch my nails ever again. My cuticles are always perfect, and the gel color is always painted neatly, uniform, and smooth. I highly recommend Jenny for gel manicures. The pedicure service is also good. I haven't found my "go-to" pedicure tech yet, still experimenting, but overall all the pedi techs do well. This salon is a bit pricier than others, about $5 more than competitors, but the service is much higher quality. Sadly after going to Ck nails and spa for 2 years I will no longer be returning. I was so dissatisfied and disappointed with my last shellac manicure. The manicurist was not as detailed as I am accustom to and I had to guide her several times to paint parts of the mail she had missed. It was so stressful. Then, this is where it went downhill, I requested a matte top coat, which I have gotten many times before, and she began using a matte top coat that was not leaving it as matte as other times. I asked if she was done only because they didn't look matte, the owner comes over and says you just have to add acetone and proceeds to try and make me look like a fool. I was like well normally they use a different bottle because this one is not as effective ( I had a manicurist use both matte top coats and switch because this one still left a sheen), to which he just responded we have two bottles and walks back to another guest. Then starts talking about me in Vietnamese to his wife and I could tell because he used certain English words like acetone and I could tell by the inflection in their voices... I'm not an idiot. Needles to say, I left there pretty upset. I had been a loyal customer for 2 years, brought my sisters and friends. My friend even had her bridesmaids get manicures and pedicures here and this is how I was treated. Just appalled at their behavior and accommodating to the fact that I was unhappy with my matte top coat. There are plenty of nails salons around, so do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I am very satisfied to choose them to do the manicure and pedicure for me and all my bridesmaids. They have spacious room and many stations which had been very beneficial to group customers. The environment and supplies looks clean as well. Tracy, who worked on my nails using the dip powder, really is professional and did an amazing job. I am thinking to try other services next time. Other manicurists worked well too, my bridesmaids are satisfied with their nails. One thing that's not pleasant is there's a less professional lady who'd broken the nail and skin when doing a pedicure for my sister. She is the only one who didn't have a name tag that day.
