I came here to get an ombre done for $120. They said it would take 2 hours. I ended up coming out in tears with basically just highlights at the bottom of my hair and 2 inches of my hair chopped off because Chi offered to "trim" my hair after realizing what a terrible job she had done. I should have known they weren't experienced when they told me they couldn't even lighten my hair (brown) to blonde!! She also kept turning me in my chair away form the mirror and now I know why! I would have gotten right up and walked out if I had seen it before!! If you're looking for a real professional hair stylist, go to Amy Hieu Salon. She's cheaper but more experienced and can transform your hair like she did for mine after my terrible experience at Le Kim. I had my first bad experience here... a completely botched haircut, and I can't seem to line up my schedule with the stylist who did it (Tina) in order to fix it... I didn't notice until I got home because I was just getting a trim and didn't ask them to style it when they finished. They were apologetic and offered to fix it, but I just don't have time to chase one particular stylist to fix it. I will probably go elsewhere from now on. read more

Wonderful as always, Chi is terrific especially with my long thick and complicated hair. I was actually running eight minutes and it ended up working out. Next customer was running late also. My hair got straightened and curled with spray. It was a slightly puffy than I usually have it done. However Chi said by tomorrow the curls will settle and look even better. read more

I went in for hair color today and when they asked if I wanted a hair cut (for $15), I thought, "why not?" The hairdresser asked me as soon as I sat down how much she should take off. I replied," I just want a trim... No more than 2 inches." She ended up taking off somewhere between 4-6 inches (I wish I could include before and after pictures). My hair went from very long (below my bust) to just below my shoulders. I am so disappointed and upset! The hairdresser responded that she didn't cut off more than 2.5 inches, despite my pointing out cut pieces on the floor that were at least 4" long (not including the additional length cut from evening and layering the hair. She also said my ends were damaged, as if that changed that she didn't do what I asked. I left angry after receiving $5 off my bill and no apology. read more

First and last time at this salon. My hairstylist was so busy talking to her coworkers the whole time I couldn't get a word in on how I wanted my hair done, so basically terrible customer service. She cut my hair too short and didn't know how to straighten curly, coarse hair. She did a half manner job. Le Kim is an outstanding salon in Bellaire Lisa does a fabulous job with cut and color and blow drying. The salon is always busy because of the stylists who work there. They are professional and take pride in what they do. I don't know the other customers who wrote the negative reviews but I do know many people who go there and can attest to how good the salon is. read more

I feel like Le Kim is the best kept secret in Bellaire! Nobody has cut my hair so consistently well as Chi, and yet here, I pay less than I ever have for haircuts. She does my wife and son's hair too, from his first haircut at 1.5 years old - and he loves going back! Lisa and the rest of the staff are so nice to us, we feel like family here. I can't say enough good things about this salon. I started coming here because of all of the wonderful Yelp reviews and have been so happy to find this place! I have been coming for the past year and a half and was tired of paying $$$ for haircuts that were just okay. Chi cuts my whole family's hair and she is awesome. Very very disappointed with the after fact. First of all, I thought drying your hair after washing is part of the service. I didn't realize I have to pay extra for that. I could have said no--- but yet my hair wasn't styled or something to pay extra. I only need a root touch up! So, when I go to my car I checked my hair in the mirror--- I was so mad to find that out that I have hair dye on my forehead. There's a chunk of hair dye stuck in the corner of my ears. How can she not see that when she rinsed off my hair and dried my hair? No wonder she didn't let me face the mirror while blow drying my hair--- Lynn is very unprofessional to have let me go out like this. Now, my tennis buddies were making joke of me while playing after my visit to Le Kim Salon, they say I look like a kung fu warrior with those sideburn on the side from the hair dye. Now I have to go home and wash my hair all over again and will try to scrub off this freakin dye on my face. Can't be showing to work tomorrow with that mess. Thanks Lynn for your service.
