My initial beautician is Gail she is much more nicer than the owner (Jessica). Honestly, I don't like the owner because she does have a cocky attitude and she is everyday rude. I am not sure if that was because she was pregnant (that still give no excuse to be mean), but every time I go she is rude. But usually I go when she isn't there. The shop is decorated nicely and they have shampoo bowls and dryers. They also have a small sitting area in the front and also its chairs all throughout the salon. The restroom is always clean and well stocked. I just don't like the long drive I have to take to get here, and since their building is jointed with other establishments parking can be a joke. The parking lot isn't paved, so look out for the potholes. The only reason I keep coming back to this location is only because of my beautician Gail has my hair looking really good. For perms, its $100, for color its $100, to clip ends its $15, and for protein treatment its $20. But for virgin long hair: wash, blow, straighten it is about $75. Since me and my sister always go together it is about $150. I guess if you really want good looking manageable hair, its going to have a huge price tag on it. These were also given to me promptly. The professional I would be with, Amanda was very nice and friendly and reassured me through my anxiety. There was a consultation, shampoo and picking of setting style, before the actual cut. And the cut was amazing! I felt like my whole body felt lighter and was confidence soared after the seeing my new haircut. Amanda really listened to what I wanted and gave me honest and super accurate advice. I told her exactly what i wanted and even pointed to my chest bone to where i wanted the length and the face framing pieced the shortest piece at my clavicle. She cut my hair sooo fast in like 15 min and proceeded to tell me that she needed to shampoo someone elses hair. After about 6-7 minutes she blow dried my hair and immediately i knew it was WAY TO SHORT. pretty much all of my hair is at my clavicle. After blowdrying she told me she needed to recheck foils for the same other person. When she came back again 5 min later cut some layers. She showed me the back and i was like oh its cute but really short. Instead of acknowledging me she was like so cute for summer. At this point she left super quick again for other client while another person curled my hair. NOW- i dont mind have to check foil etc but i felt like she was very rushed to go to this other client even though i had an appointment...then the hair cut itself isnt bad but its not what i wanted. I didnt feel like complaining anymore because my hair will grow back. But for the price i expect who i book to take more than 20-25 min cutting my hair.

Since we're still in the midst of a pandemic (weird to say but now the norm), you had to call to say you were here and wait outside before coming up to the second floor. I was 10 mins early, so I sat at the picnic tables outside till it was time. They checked my temp and had hand sanitizer available. Everyone wore masks. I waited maybe 5 more mins in their seating area. I didn't mind because I know how color services can go over time if it's done right. Jessica greeted me, asked if I wanted a beverage, and did a quick consultation before getting started. I showed her some hair color ideas on Pinterest and other silver/blonde hair I had in the past. She took the time to listen to what I wanted. I wanted to keep my length, and she respected that. I love her method of balayage and use of multiple toners to add dimension. It looks so natural and blends well. I received so many compliments. She took her time and was so personable and easy to talk to. She gave great advice on hair tips. I have found my new stylist! The stations are spacious, and the chairs at the washing station are comfortable. They don't leave you feeling like you got whiplash. Lol. I had been thinking about it, and usually that just means I change my mind because it involves going out in public, but I had the day free and on a whim and called the salon I've driven past several times. Andy answered the phone and was so professional and KIND that I decided it couldn't be that scary and booked the first appointment they had available for the day-- didn't want to lose my nerve! People get their hair done every day right? There is a wee parking lot, but there are reserved spaces for the salon. The interior is modern, clean, and open. There was music on, but not too loud and not too soft. The temperature was perfect, I'm usually cold all the time everywhere. They have little smocks for customers to wear, that probably helped too. Andy gave me a quick tour, and I sat down to wait for my stylist. I had booked with Carl and he was very friendly, polite, and calm. He was attentive and did a wonderful job helping me decide exactly what I wanted. Throughout the entire process he would inform me what he was doing and why, and was overall extremely pleasant to have a conversation with! I was really happy with the cut and style-- Carl did a fantastic job and is a true professional. Contactless payment made everything easy, and you pay for services first and then use a separate system for gratuity. Overall a wonderful experience and very lovely people!

The stylist didn't seem to put much effort into the haircut, and my hair looked nothing like what I had asked for. I understand it was the end of the day and they may have had a long shift, but that shouldn't affect the quality of service a customer receives. Considering how much I paid, the haircut was absolutely not worth the price. I left feeling disappointed and wish more care had been taken to achieve the style I requested.
