I had such a pleasant experience for a Brazilian wax. I used the insta promotion that kept coming up in my stories for a $20 wax. I booked a couple weeks in advance. I had to reschedule about a week out and it was a super easy process to text and change the time. I appreciated the reminders in the mean time up until my appointment. I have been to Phenix Salon Suites for other services so I knew exactly where to go and park. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appt and checked in on the app, there is a small bench in the hall right next to the entrance of the suite. My esthetician, Ella arrived shortly and was ready for me a few minutes before my appointment. The suite itself is a lot smaller than I thought, there is only room for one client at a time. Ella was very friendly and took the time to assess my needs. It has been YEARS since I've waxed (I said would never again in life and here we are) and I wasn't pleased with it enough to keep it up. Ella definitely worked to make me a believer in getting waxed regularly. She took her time and coached me through and gave updates to let me know her progress. She finished me up with sugaring and I did enjoy (for a lack of a better word) that more than the wax. This was my 3rd visit here -- I've been waxed by other people at this spa before and never had an issue. But with Itzy, it was awful. She rushed through my Brazilian, left me with several burns (on both sides of my thighs and near my stomach), and spent the whole appointment talking down about other waxers. I left in so much pain and honestly felt uncomfortable the entire time. I HIGHLY recommend Shakira -- not once has she ever spoken badly about coworkers. She makes you feel comfortable, at home, and always checks in before moving on. The spa really needs to hold Itzy accountable because no one deserves to leave burned and disrespected like this. I have nothing against the aesthetics! I have a problem with the management of this place. I had an appointment for a wax at 7:50, customer service texted me that there was a 15-20 minute delay,. I arrived here and the main entrance door was locked. I tried to contact customer service to tell them to let me wait inside, their only response was that they informed my aesthetician and I will wait!! I told them that I was sitting outside on the concrete !!!!! and waiting for them to open the door for me and I will sit inside with the AC and wait for my appointment even if they delay... no response, no answer, I waited more than 40 minutes outside on the concrete and none of them came to open the main entrance door for me!!! I had my second Brazilian wax today with Eunieca. My first one was elsewhere and the results weren't impressive nor as fast as it was today. I purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian wax and used it for my service today. Booking my appointment was a breeze using their text service. I was able to find a date and time that worked well for me. There was an additional $10 sugar wax upcharge, which was no big deal for me if it meant less pain. I informed Eunieca of my previous experience and told her that I was willing to give waxing a second try based on the great reviews of Hello Sugar and specifically Eunieca. She explained the process and paused before removing the wax so I could take a deep breath in and out, which was much appreciated! They do offer a monthly subscription service where you can save money by using it. I paused on selecting that option.....for now! All in all, I was impressed with how well this Brazilian wax went and I will definitely be back! Eunieca definitely caters to those people who are a bit more sensitive! read more

This was my first sugaring experience, and I must say it went better than expected! After looking at reviews, I decided to book a sugar Brazilian with Eunieca as she was frequently recommended. She made the experience amazing! It had been months since I had a Brazilian, so I expected the pain but she definitely helped me breath and get through it. From start to finish, she communicated everything she was doing step-by-step. She also educated me on after care and gave product recommendations - this was much appreciated. The sugaring itself was 10/10, and I won't be going back to regular wax. The pain level was more tolerable than regular hard wax. For it to have been so long, the end result was great. The booking process was easy and done through text message. Smooth process and they had a first time offer for the Brazilian for $20! The booking staff as well as the confirmation email give detailed instructions on how to find the place. My recommendation is to park behind the building on the 2nd floor. It is in one of those building of suites, so it isn't a stand alone building. This was different from other places but wasn't a deal breaker. Unfortunately this place doesn't really accommodate customers. My first experience here was booked through a promo. It was not an easy location to find and the salon suites were locked. It was freezing and after calling customer service they alerted them that I was outside and I was seen. This was at least 10 min after my appointment time of me waiting there in freezing cold. The cerologist was nice at least and she seemed to know what she was doing though I found it weird that she asked me to change in front of her. She also didn't seem keen to do the enzyme treatment on me which was a service I was paying full price for so I thought it was bit odd. But overall it was a decent experience. Second time here and I will never return. There was road construction right outside the building and I arrived a minute after the grace period for the appointment (so 9:13) and she already cancelled my appointment stating she had a full schedule. I am beyond shocked and dissatisfied with the lack of flexibility. I asked to even downgrade the wax area and she stated it was not possible. I guess she'd prefer to sit there waiting another half hour for her next appointment doing who knows what. No one was waiting behind me. I'm seriously still stunned. I have been getting waxing services for decades, and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had! The technician was inexperienced and not knowledgeable about the procedure. Two days after the waxing, I had large bruises on the area. I sent them a message about my experience, and was told that a manager would contact me within two days. Had my service done. Previously I had been informed that I was not able to get sugar waxing due to my hair length and hair thickness. I came in today asking for regular wax but Alizaye informed me I can get sugar wax. It was a lot smoother than regular wax. Avoid Hello Sugar at this point, both this location and The Heights. My first 2-3 appointments were great, but the last two bookings months apart at two different locations, were poor experiences. The heights: I booked a Sunday and arrived 15 minutes early, calling to notify the esthetician since they keep the doors locked for safety. I called the line that makes a receptionist text the customer back -- I get a text back and waited 15 minutes after my appointment time for someone to arrive. Brenda didn't come to the door until 20 minutes after my appointment but I was driving away at that point. I stopped going to them for a few months after this, but later decided to give the Bellaire location a try -- same thing. I arrive at 6:15 for my 6:25, notify the receptionist via the number listed out front; this location is also in a Phenix salon with locked doors -- At 6:22 the receptionist confirms my esthetician, Jasmine, is with someone and will be there shortly -- 15 mins after my appointment, no Jasmine. Another Hello Sugar client came after me and her esthetician came to retrieve her within 4-5 minutes. I call the line as an attempt to get an update and the receptionist was unapologetic, informed me that Jasmine was still with her previous client and asked if I could reschedule for 8:10 pm. I politely declined. I drafted this review while in the parking lot and as of 6:50 still no Jasmine. This place is a joke, they don't value people's time, avoid at all costs. read more

This business is absolutely ridiculous! I've been texting back and fourth to schedule my appointment. No one calls me for a quick 3 min call to schedule my appointment. They want to do everything over text. I'm at work and my attention is pulled. Through this ridiculous system I was rescheduled 3 Times! They text me to say Saturday at 9 am is open, I respond, oh never mind Tuesday is open, I responded, never mind Thursday. RIDICULOUS! I expressed my frustrations, I get an "I'm sorry." Expect the worst customer service. They're always late and sometimes will not even tell you that the esthetician is not coming at all as evident in the pictures attached. I asked for my membership to be canceled and no one has responded or reached out. Now I have to dispute the charges with my bank. Stay away!! I canceled my membership because there is no grace for when the customer is late due to rush hour traffic/car accidents. The customer gets charged $10 however if the appointments are running behind or if the esthetician doesn't show up then the customer is just inconvenienced or having to reschedule. I froze my membership, yet today I was still charged again. Plus I wasn't able to use my membership service last month so I asked for a refund and I was texted that refunds are only available 7 days after. Clearly I am not interested in doing business with Hello Sugar yet I am being forced to come in and use my credit in order to not just give them my money for free. read more

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP!! Even after freezing your membership, you will still be charged monthly! I have not gotten waxed here in months yet they still charge me even after freezing my membership. There is no way to cancel your membership so you are making a lifetime commitment to giving them $52 a month. The waxes are subpar which is why I no longer go here! I've been contemplating getting a wax for awhile now. What really convinced me to get my first wax was the first Bikini wax is FREE and they do not ask you to put a credit card on file (as advertised on their website). They offered me an upgrade on my services for a discounted price. I decided to go all out with a Brazilian ($19) and added the Enzyme Treatment. I would 100% recommend the enzyme treatment, it was very soothing after everything I had just gone through and helped tremendously with the irritation. I really liked that I was able to schedule my appointment via text messaging. Their staff was quick in their responses and very accommodating with my schedule. It was so easy! I was also given reminders of my appointment. Ask for Krystal, she's amazing! She talked me through the whole process and did her best to make me as comfortable as possible. I appreciated how informative she was, informing me what to expect, after care tips, preventatives, and shared her own personal experiences. You can tell she really knows what she is talking about. For first timers, read the "First time" section on the website to be best prepared for your visit. As for parking, I found the easiest way to get there was going to the back of the building and parking on the second level. I called the number and the customer service put me on hold for a bit longer after telling me the technician had an emergency and had to cancel but another person was supposed to fill in. Put me back on hold to figure out where she was. Got back on the line and said she needs to reschedule. Maybe this was a fluke but no one should be doing business this way. HORRIBLE. Go elsewhere! Cancelled my membership today. There is always a problem. My first time at the heights was fine. Since then I have rotated through all locations but mainly River Oaks and Bellaire for the past 6 or so months. Techs are habitually late, and I'm talking 30-45 minutes late for a SCHEDULED appointment. I've complained to customer service and they do nothing, they tell you to talk to the tech. As the customer, I shouldn't have to manage the staff. Last time the tech was so late that there was new girl training who was not trained on sugaring and so I had to settle for waxing because I couldn't wait any longer. My membership was for sugaring. Today I show up for a lash lift appointment just to be told that they are out of the products. Why was I allowed to book and show up for a service that they could not complete?! She said they have no way to notify us because they don't have a phone. That was the final straw, cancelled and taking my money elsewhere. Even the tech said that in one of their other locations they don't have toilet paper and that the issues are getting out of hand... no thank you. read more

I scheduled an appointment it was located inside a suite that had suites inside of it I walked around waiting outside the door, knocked on the door was ignored and asked the suite nxt door that had the same hello sugar sign and she told me that no yours will be the other door so again I waited walked around and I'm pretty sure the people there ignored me. Luckily they don't charge for no-show/cancellations even though I showed up. I took it as a loss and ended up having go to the European wax Center which wasn't that bad even though I mainly only sugar.
