Whenever I drop my kids off at Mathnasium, I head over to Super Nails to get my hands did. I always come out very very pleased. They are quick, thorough and very neat! I don't do fake nails. Never. I love my real nails nice and healthy, and this is their specialty. They do not fake nails at all in this salon, so there is no foul smell. My manicures last roughly 4-5 days until I start to see small chips. I pay $20, plus a $5 tip. I don't usually ask for anyone in particular. I'm always a walk in. Love them!! read more

I live in the area and have never tried this place, but I was on a time crunch so decided to give them a try. Pros: did a really good job on my shellac mani/pedi! Cons: very rude and impersonal. I walk in and was given kind of an attitude. It was not busy, Wednesday morning at 11am. Then rude lady continues to wrap my old shellac and says, the lady over there (working on someone else) will do my nails. Ok, no problem. well about 20 minutes go by and nothing, and my pedicure lady had to go tell the other lady that I have been waiting. FINALLY get my nails done, then they have to move me from the massage chair to a table. I was super uncomfortable and almost seemed like I was playing twister with arms and legs just in every direction. No one offered me water or anything to drink, and with their prices, that should be a given. There was another older lady there that was practically choking, even pulled out her inhaler, and still no one offered this woman some water!! Will not be back, no matter how nice my nails look. read more

Zero attention to detail, uneven tips, did not even paint over the entire nails (with clear polish), the "massage" which was rubbing lotion in on the tops of the fore arms, just pumping out mediocre work, and getting paid. Quality of service is good. The price is unreasonable. I came in for a fill and spent $70. $35 for the full, $10 to fix a broken nail, $20 for gel, and $5 to shape. That's insane. Also a week later one of my nails came off completely and I was not doing anything rough. read more

I had some time to kill yesterday afternoon so I decided to stop in for a polish change on my feet. They surprisingly weren't that busy for a Saturday afternoon. The salon seemed very clean and it was actually kind of quiet. I wasn't offered anything to drink and I don't recall seeing anyone drinking any beverages. I was a little disappointed with the color selection. I feel like they had a lot of pink and red colors. It took me forever to decide on a color. I also noticed they didn't seem to have a lot of sparkly or glitter polishes. They had OPI, Essie, and some other brands that I can't remember at the moment. The man that painted my toe nails was really nice. He filed them and then changed the color. Took maybe about 20 minutes. He did a really good job. It was $15 which i a little pricey for a polish change, but I guess they charge more given their location. I paid with a debit card but there wasn't a place to write in a tip. I went here for the first time on my lunch break and it wasn't crowded at all. They were very friendly to a walk in. The salon is clean and modern looking. The technicians are nice enough. My nails look good - a basic manicure was $15 and taking off shellac was $5. I felt like my polish smudged much more quickly than when I get my manicure at other places. I even sat there for a while letting it dry. Disappointing. The only other downside was that they don't accept tips on your credit card. I did not know this until my nails were done and I had already paid. I felt terrible not tipping, but apparently this is a common problem for them. I don't understand why they don't get a machine that allows you to add tips. They're only hurting themselves and making their customers feel bad. I've been coming to Super Nail since I was young, and I've had a great experience 95% of the time. They do a great job, but they are very crowded usually when I come in. They have great staff, a large color selection, and the prices aren't the highest I've seen, but they're not low. I'd say they are a little above average -- My shellac runs me $35 I believe (they change the prices occasionally). Super Nail is always clean, and they really do make the effort to take their time while simultaneously not making people wait too long. I usually go to a nail salon closer to where I work, but Super Nail is my go-to for when I don't know where to go or if I'm in need of a mani/pedi on the weekends. I love the way they do my manicures, and I didn't have any problems with my shellac experience as another reviewer did. Overall, I recommend this place if you live close to the Meyerland area. Staff is very friendly, and many of the women have been there for a while and are very close with their customers. If you don't live near the Meyerland area, I wouldn't come running here since you can most likely find a comparable salon near you. read more

She left the corners blank and by the end of the day, four of my nails were already chipped. I came in for a manicure and pedicure. For a background, I am 26 professional, fluent in vietnamese and english. My mom owned a nail salon when I was younger and I frequently helped her. I usually get my nails done every 2 weeks at my previous salon in Sugarland but since moving, I've been looking for a nail salon near this new area. PROS: -relatively fast; i came in at 5, was out of there by 6. I would definitely return for a rush job, granted that they are not at full capactiy. -my nails look pretty decent, no major streaks or uneveness in the paintjob. CONS: -they are extremely rude. Although we did not converse in vietnamese, their actions were rude. I had two options for nail polish and perhaps my fickle nature annoyed them, but she slammed the polish on the table once I gave her my choice. The woman doing my manicure skipped steps such as the massage or pushing down the cuticles. When she removed my shellac, she used her own nails to scrape off the gel. (Isn't that what the cuticle pusher is for?). She also said that she was just trying to hurry so she can get the next customer (in vietnamese, I silently refrained from saying anything). They herd me to a table in order for my nails to finish drying. At one point, one marches up to me and says "Your nails are dry now." and yanks out the fan . Um, ok. Five minutes later, the woman that did my toes approaches me and states, "You pay now." Um, ok. As I reached for my purse, she says "I get it" and just started digging in my purse. Um, no. For a pedicure, manicure with a polish that lasts longer (so costs an extra $5), the total came out to be $45. I tipped $10 and then that was the first time I saw them smile at me. My mom and I went in on Saturday afternoon for pedicures. It was a very meh experience. It was nice not to be pressured and upsold but this location did not not offer any type of upgrade which I found strange. They don't use scrub, or offer hot stones or paraffin wax. I paid $30 for the most basic pedicure with callous remover. It also felt dark in there because they seemed to only use natural light coming in from the window? It wasn't crowded but we felt rushed and it was not relaxing. If you don't come in there with $300 sandals/purse, you're not up to par. The lady that did my pedicure finished my nail polishing didn't even put my sandals back on. While the other lady put the sandals on my sister in law. My lady stated "I'll put your sandals on in a minute". I came here on a Sunday. They skipped a lot of steps for my pedicure and I can't even tell they took off any dry skin. The shallac is a different story. The lady wouldn't do the simple design I asked for, even though they've done it for me in the past. The lady even yelled at me when I said you've done it before. She messed up my shallac in so many places and in so many ways. Unfortunately I have to leave it on, messed up as it is, for the next two weeks because if I get it redone it will ruin my nails.
