Normally I don't write review but have to this time. The WORST pedicure ever!!! I didn't have time to go to my regular place and I need to get mine done. So I thought it will not be that bad to go somewhere else. Wrong! The lady used the drill to file my cuticle, not the cuticle clipper but the drill. The drill is for fake nails, not for real nails. Plus, I don't have a lot of cuticle. So, I stop her when she wanted to do the same thing on other foot. Then she wanted to use razor to cut bottom of my feet. I don't have calluses! Luckily, I was watching her every move after she used the drill on my toes. So I stopped her b4 she caused more damage. And the paint job was suck!!! I can polish a better job. She asked me to pay the moment I sit down to dry and stand there to wait for the tip. I shouldn't have given her the amount that I gave her. Don't go to this place, everyone! read more

Went in with my friend to get our nails done and we looked at the price chart and it said that the acrylic nails are $35 so we decided to get them. We were waiting for them to clean up after the person before us and when they were ready for us the man technician tapped us on the arms and pointed to the chairs that he wanted us to sit in which we thought was weird. After our nails were done we went to pay and the man said it was $60 but on the chart it only said $35 and when we asked them why it was $20 over what the price chart said (i got matte and they charged me an extra $5 which every other nail salon i've been to has not done) they started naming off what they did and getting angry that we were questioning the price even when we just got acrylic nails. We ended up paying the $60 but I will not go back to this place again because they ripped me and my friend off. read more

Don't waste your money going here. It was my first time today. When I arrived, I asked to use the restroom, they said they didn't have one and sent me to the corner bakery, I should have never came back. Cheap, used a dermal on my cuticles (I got a pedicure). It took all of 10 minutes, I could and should have painted my nails my self. Threw $25 out the window. Horrible experience from the beginning to end. read more

Kathy one of the owners is rude. Yells at the rest of the ladies ,she is simply abusive to the poor employees.Tommy was better than all of the nail technicians, he did bad job on my nails, the white tip he glued to my nail is crooked:( I'm so disappointed. They use the same foil sand on everyone doing pedicure. My sister got a toe infliction after Kathy did her pedicure and excessively removed her toe skin. One suggestion,Do not go there . I am only giving them 2 stars because I used to get acrylics done by tommy for a few years and loved it. Though he's very opinionated about your nails. But this is about my pedicure a few weeks ago. I met my friend here for a pedi. The soak and massage portion went really well, but the guy doing my pedi made me bleed while cutting my cuticles. And to top it off he was a sloppy painter. And when it was time to tip he reminded me of how much longer he massaged me versus how long my friend did, basically guilting me into a better tip, when you made me bleed and did a bad paint job! read more

I'm so pissed off at the quality of her fill, I really wish she read the reviews on this place before she went. I highly recommend NO ONE go to this nail salon!!! Not just because they suck at doing nails but for health reasons as well. The lady didn't use a tool, she used her dirty nail to pushed my sisters cuticles back, used the edge of a dirty ass buffer block to BUFF HER CUTICLES!!!! Charged her for cutting her nails down to a nub, when she didn't even ask for that, saw that the nail polish was messed up on multiple nails and didn't even offer to fix them!!! I'm writing this on behalf of my 10 yr old daughter. I've been letting her get manicures (just the cleanup and the painting) since she was six. Today she decided she wanted a french manicure and this place was convenient for our schedule. I was in the pedicure chair when the guy started on her nails. I couldn't hear everything, but she and I had chatted and I explained what she should ask for. The next thing I see he's putting TIPS on her nails and then pulled out the Dremel tool to prep her nails for acrylic after cutting all her natural nails down! I almost jumped out of the pedicure chair and yelled over to him that she is NOT getting tips, she is only to get a french manicure, paint only! I found out after we left that he scolded her for not being specific enough! HOW DARE HE, SHE IS ONLY 10! *HE* is the "adult" supposedly, *HE should have spoken with ME, the Mom! Needless to say we will NEVER go there again and hope others will not take their children there either! On top of things, the place seriously needed a good scrub down! Beware! read more

terrible. when I asked how much french tip acrylic nails cost she told me $45. I thought that was a pretty good price so I sat down to let her begin. right off the bat I could tell she didn't know what she was doing. I had to ask her at least 5 times to fix a nail because it was crooked, or ask her to please loosen her grip because her nails were digging into my skin and making me bleed. finally, when she had finished, some of the nails were still crooked, however, having been sitting there for an hour I decided to just deal with it, pay the $45, and get the hell out of there. as I was leaving she informed me that it would cost $60 because french tip is $15 extra-- something she hadn't previously told me. I am furious that I paid $60 for something my 13 year old brother could've done. I do not recommend this place. read more

H O R R I B L E !! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This place is extraordinarly DISGUSTING! They don't clean anything. And the lady doing my nails was eating while 'working,.' NOT WORTH THE PRICE. My french acrylic was 33 and she wanted to charge me an EXTRA $5 just for a top coat. And then tried doing it without my consent. And then I paid with credit and she kept my credit card for 10 mins while she did other things. Completely unamused. Whatever you do don't go!! The 2nd time I come to this place and I thought it would be ok, but it was horrible. It took twice as long to get a pedi and mani because the 1st person didn't know what they were doin and had to get help from a 2nd person. On top of the frustration they break a little glass bowl and didn't clean up all the glass that I ended up with a cut on my foot that wouldn't stop bleeding. Service was horrible and sanitation was very low. The price was ridiculous with no consideration of what type of service they gave me. Never again. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I wish I didn't even have to give this place one star...it was that bad. I am no novice to the artificial nail department. I had acrylics for about three years straight then moved onto gels for about a year and a half. I stopped getting fake nails because it became too expensive for me. Well, for this holiday season I decided to get my nails done again just so I would look more put together, and because I have a full time job now I can afford the upkeep. Let me begin by saying, I regret my decision to go to Nail Pro. I went with my friend, and when we walked in she immediately got Tommy, like another yelp reviewer I was given an elderly woman. While Tommy began working on my friends nails, this elderly woman was walking around, decided she would wax a customers eyebrows who had walked in after I had. Then FINALLY when she started to do my nails she tried to convince me into to doing gels, when I told her no, she would not stop pestering me about it. Finally I was like, whatever, I'll do the gels so she shuts up. Well that was mistake number two. Three days after getting my nails done, they started lifting, I went back asking for my money back and for them to take the nails off. Their response? No money back. Well I would like to know where that is stated, because its nowhere in the salon and no where on the receipts. So they told me that they would fix them. This woman's idea to fix my nails (the same one who did my nails in the first place) was to put another layer of the gel on my nails and cure it under the UV light. Well, here I am two days later, and 7 out of 10 of my nails have popped off. Needless to say I will NOT be returning to this nail salon ever, and you should think twice before you go. read more

I have been going to Nail Pro for a little over a year just for my eyebrows. Cathy always does a great job she listens to what you want and they are never super thin. I have tried other places and they tend to destroy my arch and make them two different shapes. Cathy always fixes my brows and leaves me feeling fantastic. read more

I went to Nail Pro because I was desperate for a mani-ped and had limited time in the Fair Oaks area. I was taken promptly, which was good, but that was basically where the good ended. I selected my colors, two similar pinks for my toes and nails, and told the technician which needed to go where. My toe nails had recently been trimmed, so the nails themselves did not need too much work. The pedicure still took forever because the technician still clipped, filed, and poked every. single. toenail. I was in agony and it took forever. By the time it was ready for my manicure I had less than an hour before I needed to be somewhere. The manicure was a little faster, but it was at this time that I realized just how dirty the salon was. My technician's table was COVERED in dust from filing nails - GROSS! When I say covered, it was as if no one had ever taken a duster to the table. When we sat down the technician confirmed the color she was about to put on my nails, which was the color I had requested on my toes. She got the two colors confused. While the colors were not dramatically different, this resulted in me having a rather unprofessional looking florescent pink on my finger nails (the other color was slightly muted, not as electric). She eventually finished my nails and at this point I really did not even have five minutes to sit and let my nails dry. The technician escorted me to the drying station, where I promptly fell through the broken couch and hit my toe on the drying table. Awesome. I sat for the 3 minutes I could, very uncomfortably I might add since the couch had no stuffing (just fabric and frame - useful), before getting up to leave. The technician literally RAN over screaming that it was too soon, my nails weren't dry. Well, I had no choice but to get going at that time, as it stood I was already late for my next appointment. Somewhat related, but has anyone else noticed the trend of nail salons taking payment when they are finished? It used to be that they would take your payment between shaping the nails and putting on polish, now almost everywhere I go takes payment right before you leave. Only somewhat annoying because sometimes your nails aren't dry even after 15 minutes under the dryer. read more

This place overcharged me and I've been a regular for some time. I was shocked to learn that the wax service prices are based on how the woman feels that day. They do not have them listed and when I asked one day it was different from the day after. I went to another place in Herndon with my friend and it was $20 cheaper!!! It's also unsanitary- she was using the same wax stick and I called her out and she simply reacted as if it was no big deal. I like the atmosphere of this place, it's quiet and not as hectic as Angel Nails upstairs. I tried it out for the first time last week, had a great manicure with Kim. I came back two days ago for a manicure and pedicure with Tommy, who was great as well; my only concern is that they use razors during their pedicures (which is illegal), but besides that everything was good, my nails look great. read more

This place made me sooooo mad! I went in the evening I haddd to go here because I needed my nails done for graduation the next morning. I paid $38 for acrylics with French tips which were way too much. It was the cloudiest job I have ever seen! When I mentioned it they were like oh well deal with it. I've been to this place once & it sure will be my last. The people are rude & do a mediocre job. I went to get a manicure, the lady did a sloppy job (some part of my nail wasn't cover with nail polish & when I asked her to fix it she said "it's going to be too thick. So I gave this place 5 star rating a few months ago, but a few things have changed since then.A few months later and I find myself having to update my original review. Although I still stand by that Tommy gives the best silk manicures and French airbrush, he is always late. When I originally started making appointments with him I had a more laid back schedule and if he was running late I was ok with that. But once school started for my child, I always made the first appointment with him every other week. He NEVER showed up on time. In fact, I had to call him or the girl that opened the shop had to call him to wake him up to come to work. I was annoyed with it but put up with it as he did do a good job until a few weeks ago. He showed up late again ( I was so used to this that I was running late for the first time but at least gave him a courtesy call to let him know I was running a few minutes behind. He had my cell number and never called to ever tell me he was late). So now I have a tight schedule as I travel 30 minutes to make the appointment and I have to be on time to pick up my kid from preschool. He knows this and instead of telling me he thinks his airbrush machine was broken and suggesting I get a hand painted french style nails, he keeps encouraging color. I thought that was quite unusual as he has never done that in the past. I say no politely twice and he starts the airbrush French only to stop after 4 fingers have been done to tell me his machine is broken. Well, he obviously knew this going in and knowing we were behind schedule as we were both late he should have said something before starting the procedure. By then I had no time for him to fix it. He never apologized or even looked me in the eye when I confirmed that was why he was pushing color and that I would have appreciated it more if he had been honest with me especially since I was crunched for time. He said I could come back to finish when I had more time. I had already paid as I like to pay prior to nail polish so I don't mess it up and I always tipped 20-25 percent. I was mad because he just ignored me and went to the next client. After rushing back to pick up my child with no polish on a silk wrap (I had him remove the polish of the 4 fingers), I decided he could keep his money and his undeserved tip. It was not worth the drive back. There has to be a nail place around my home that can keep appointments and do a good job. I don't blame him for the broken machine. Crap happens, but he should have apologized, refunded at least some of my money (I was a loyal every other week client and tipper) and not ignored me when I was trying to talk to him about coming back. I was trying to confirm that if he was not there whoever painted my nails would already know I had paid. So between having to be his mother and calling him to remind him about a standing appointment and which he was always late for and the rude way he dealt with me on the broken machine mishap, I called him to tell him I was not coming back for the polish and I was not coming back at all and explained why. I know he probably does not care. He rarely gets appointment type clients as he is in the mall and he has mentioned that they cancel all the time no skin off his back. Well great attitude to have as an owner dealing with walk in or non repeating clients, but not with me a client who rarely canceled and the few times I was late he got a call unlike me who never got a call as soon as I became his first appointment. It really is too bad. He did nails great and the shop had so much potential. And I guess Yelp was correct in filtering the original review and labeling it as unfiltered as Tommy did ask me to write one for him (something Yelp does not encourage business owners to do), but at the time when I wrote the original positive review I had meant every word. I would never go out of my way to write a great review if I did not believe it myself. Unfortunately the same could be said for this more negative updated review too. He obviously did not ask me to write the updated version, but I would not have spent the time doing so had I not felt so disappointed.
