I do not recommend this nail salon. I asked for a basic manicure and pedicure with no polish. I was told that that would be $65. Since I had didn't want polish on my nails , I asked them to buff and shine with the basic buff and June block they normally use on all manicures and pedicures. When I went to pay the total price rose to $70 and then they charged me an extra $10 for the buff and shine. They said the price increase was for the pandemic, but I informed them that that's not what I was told when I arrived. I am not one to argue and make a scene, and I left a $16 tip out of kindness, knowing what goes around comes around. I'll never, never, never go there again and neither should you! This place is trash. I would not recommend bringing your hard earned money here or even wasting your time. When my wife went there she said it smelled like old rags and spoiled milk. Not only could she not stand the smell, no one came to greet her when she walked in or asked her if she needed any help. She only saw the workers busy on their phones and on the computer. She made the best move by doing a 180 degree turn and exiting the salon. Bad customer service, terrible hygiene, and workers that care only about looking at their phones are reasons enough to never come here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went there yesterday to get a pedi and gel mani with my mom. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who did my nails so that I could advise anyone who goes there not to let her touch you. She did my toes which I honestly liked. It didn't look too professional but I don't really like to complain so I didn't say anything, you can say it looked presentable. She then started doing my gel manicure which she did very fast. The color I loved but my nails looked like I did them myself in the middle of the night. She didn't cut my cuticles, there was actual nail paint on my fingers, it was messy and very sloppy. Once I stepped out I again, did not want to complaint but my mom insisted I should just nicely ask her to fix it. I came back and asked her to fix it and she gave me the biggest attitude. She started "cleaning" the nail polish from my finger and then asked me if I wanted another coat. I said I didn't want another coat I just wanted her to fix the messiness.. I could see her getting upset and talking to her coworkers in her language. Se grabs my hand to show them because according to her there was nothing wrong. I told her thank you and got up. My mom suggested I should ask to speak to a manager so I came up to her and asked to speak to a manager. She said she was the manager which I'm pretty sure was a lie. I told her again, " listen, you can't sit here and tell me this looks professional, this looks like I did it myself" I pointed out all the mistakes and she insisted she didn't see anything. She grabs my arm and pulls me towards her to show my hand to her coworkers. Her coworker says they can take off the nail polish and then give me a refund. Btw the total was 60.00 and I gave her 10.00 tip. So I'm not gonna pay $70 for something that looks like I did it myself at home. Anyways, this lady is being loud and rude and making a huge scene. At this point everyone is staring at me and I could tell she was talking about me. She started telling me that she never had someone who complained so much before and that I was picky etc, she went on and on telling me basically how annoying I was. Then she said that she could only give me back the money for the gel which was 35.00. I said okay sure also, please give me my tip back. She basically threw the 10 dollar bill to my face. She kept talking about me out loud to her coworkers in their language and laughing. I told her nicely "I know you're talking about me just because you're not speaking English doesn't mean I can't tell, maybe if you had done a better job I wouldn't be complaining". As she was removing the gel she hurt my cuticles. I was in extreme pain and my cuticles are now swollen. Then later she calls her boss because I guess they couldn't proceed with the refund and makes me talk to him on her cellphone. He kindly apologizes and says he can't do the refund but someone else will fix my nails. Eventually another lady her name is Tiffany, did an amazing job and agreed with me. I still would never go back to this place, this went on for two hours I literately wanted the earth to swallow me I was so embarrassed. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Read the other reviews as well it's pretty clear this place has serious issues. After spending two hours, I left Angel Nails in tears today after one of their older age technicians gave me the worst dip manicure I've ever seen. When I first arrived, a younger technician sat me down and began soaking my hands to remove the dip powder I had on my nails. Then another woman comes into Angel Nails and asks for a gel manicure so the younger technician tells me to wait 15 minutes for her. I wait a hour.....then tells me to move to another older technician's station. The younger technician basically tells her how to do a dip manicure within 3 minutes. When I go to pay, I asked the younger technician why she passed me off and if this is how dip manicures are supposed to look which she replies no but she would fix it for me. Unfortunately I'm leaving for Christmas vacation tonight and didn't have another two hours for them to fix the disaster of a dip manicure I was given. My daughter also got a pedi and she said the lady was so rough cutting her toenails that she thought she cut her. I literally had two people say to me "I thought you got your nails done." I'm going to try to get a full refund. Update: I went in to get a refund. The lady present was on her iPad feet up relaxing and extremely rude as if I interrupted her. She accused me of not even being there on Friday and asked for a receipt. Why would anyone do that, but I digress? She eventually agreed to call the manger, who was very nice but refused a refund offering to redo instead. I agreed, but the redo got off to a rough start. On a whim and a crappy ass Sunday last winter, I decided I should go get my nails done. Since Fair Oaks Mall is close and I knew about this place from seeing it as I enter the mall through the lower level of Lord & Taylor, I thought it was a my best bet. It also agreed the most with my laziness at that moment. Upon entering, I was greeted with "Wot yoo want?" I wasn't so much like "What the fuck do you want, bitch?" it was more an asian thing, I think. She was older, and looked frayed at the ends. Musta been a long day, I guess. I asked for a full set of gels and she pointed towards some lady at the back of the salon. I trudge my way back there, through the obstacle course of pails, basins, and feet. Rooooows of feet to my right, toenails drying in the wind. Not enough room to get through without being super careful about not hitting a wet-nailed foot. I get to my destination and this woman gestures for me to plop my hands down. She shakes her head at the state of my nails, and I'm like, "Well what the shit do you think I'm here for?!" She asked, "yoo want full set?" I confirmed, gels. So, she proceeds to sand off my cuticles and first 5 layers of nail and I tell her that it's burning/causing injury, etc. She said, "yoo have bad nail." Huh? I've never had THAT happen before! So , I ask, "please, can you change the bit there, so it doesn't burn and remove my cuticles?" I wait while she hastily proceeded to change the bit on her nail drill deal. After she still burnt the shit out of my nails and removed every cuticle I had, she was finally to the process of applying the gel. She took 45 hours to apply it and even then, it was uneven. She filed and filed, and this stuff wasn't getting a ton better. I just wanted out of there after being whipped around and huffed and puffed at, so I decided that these would be just good enough. I go to wash the junk off of my hands, and notice that it looked like someone took a sponge bath at the sink. There was water everywhere and worn out scrub brushes. I just threw my hands under the water and dried with a paper cloth. Didn't look for soap or anything. Disgust. I return and she puts this topcoat on then gestures to some apparatus that I guess I was to stick my nails under. I never noticed it, as it was full of magazines, paper towel and various nail tools. I half dry, get up and she yells at me from across the salon, "YOO NAIL NOT DRY! YOO SIT DOWN AND FINISH!" I get up anyway and make my way over to the cash register, careful not to fall into the sea of freshly polished toes. She tells me, "Seventy five dollar." I'm like, "What?!" I remind her that the full set states $55. She tells me, "well yoo take long time, it cost more." I tell her again, "YOU took a long time, I will pay the normal price." She snatched my card, and I paid and left. 3 days later, the gel chipped all to shit. Do NOT go here! What seemed a convenience was nothing but a shitty experience! When I first moved to the area, I decided to try Angel Nails on a whim. I have very short thin nails so I like getting the pink and white acrylic. I was greeted immediately and taken back to a woman who proceeded to ask me what I wanted. I explained not too long, white tips, squared off and natural looking. She told me to sit down and got to work. She was not overly rough. I did not get cut. The end result however was the worst I had ever seen. The pink was way too pink, lines were not straight and there were ridges in my nails. Within a couple days they began to lift. I have to think the product they were using was subpar or too old. I am thankful to have found my current nail salon. When I showed her what Angel Nails had done, she just shook her head and proceeded to remove all that they had plastered on. Worst mani/pedi experience Ever at this place today! I have had my nails done at this place several times and always been very pleased, My visit today was a disaster! I arrived in a lovely mood, having been given the afternoon off, YaY! I picked out my color and walked over to the station the lady that greeted me was standing next too. As I was pulling up my pant legs, some guy that I'd never seen before comes over and tells me to put my feet in the water, very demanding like... I said yes, I will, but I'd like to sit down first. He acted like I was annoying him and wasting his time at that point. Anyways, like I said I was in a good mood, so I thought I'd just let that slide and shake it off. So then he starts trimming my toenails and all of a sudden I felt a super sharp pain. He had cut my big toe nail SUPER SHORT, it hurt so stinking bad! I told him, please don't cut them so short, that hurt. He said, No it's not too short, it is even with the other ones. I couldn't believe this guy! First of all, you never argue with a customer, secondly - apologize for hurting me and move on. My instinct was to get up and leave right then. I should have, because it went downhill from there. Seriously awful, just shameful customer service. I'm aggravated with myself for putting up with this big jerk and letting him, even worse, paying him to treat me like crap. Never again. Sooo much better than Nail Pro downstairs. This place has more technicians and the space is more organized and modern. The tools used were clean and straight out of the pack which was a relief. I got a basic manicure with gelish French polish. My thumb nail was chipped down to the skin and the tech suggested a couple of ways to repair it so I wouldn't have to cut the entire nail off and start the growing process all over again. When it was time for my pedicure a female tech completed it. I am uncertain why the techs switched but the lady was just as friendly as the guy and did a good job as well. The prices are not listed anywhere on the walls so I had no idea how much anything costed until it was time to pay. The worst nail experience I have ever had. I had my nails done on Thursday and Saturday they were chipping. I called today if I could get my nails fixed the intial response was I need to have the lady that did them to return when she was working which was this coming Thursday.. No ma'am I have to work tomorrow. So, I talked to a manager and she said she could fix them. I get to the location explained who I was and the reason. A lady comes from the back she takes the gel off but doesnt remove the overlay. In the mall, 2nd floor, near Lord & Taylor. I'm a pedicure whore. Yup. Reason being, I have some na-sty callouses on my feet - the kind that come back every two weeks. So, I'm desperate for a pedi at 9pm on Saturday in the mall. Against my better judgment, I hit up this place. I ask upon arriving (realizing it's late) "do you have TIME for a pedicure?" The gal (who is obviously about to leave), Tiffany, says she does. Word. The massage chair wasn't the best, but I've definitely had worse (and at this point I can't be picky). So after a short soak she starts on the cuticles and such. As we all know will happen, Tiffany goes for the upsale. $35 for a "spa pedicure." Knowing my feet are bad, and she stayed late for me, I oblige. I soon realize that the TV is showing some Nat'l Geo show with 2 folks running around naked in a swamp. Fine. Until they start having to kill the snakes. I'm phobic of snakes - like curl up in a fetal position when I see them in the zoo behind glass type of fear. After holding my ears hoping the subject would change, I finally asked Tiffany if she could change the channel. She happily obliged. At this point, the other final remaining customer leaves. It's 9:45. But Tiffany is still taking care of me. I soon realize that Tiffany and some ole crotchety woman are into a bit of a spat - of course I can't understand what they're saying, but the tone is clear. I hear Tiffany TRYING not to clue me in that her coworker is pissed because she took me. Coworker don't care. Remember, she's an ole crotchety woman. She storms out of the store. Tiffany has to call the owner and tell him/her. So, get rid of crotchety, improve your chairs, and appreciate Tiffany - she handled an uncomfortable situation as best she could and she did a really nice job on my gnarled up toes. I don't know the name of the person who did my nail, unfortunately. She filed down my previous shellac so much that my nails were pink and thin. The paint job is extremely sloppy. The tips are all uneven, the bottoms near my cuticles are bad and will catch on my hair within a few days, there are "wings" of shellac that I'll have to file down. She didn't wait long enough for the paint to dry in between coats, so the tip color is smeared all over the rest of the nail. It's really awful. I wish I could post a picture!! read more

She made inappropriate racial comments in Vietnamese not knowing that I could understand her and proceeded to ask her coworkers if they could get me and my boyfriend to leave because it was taking my nails too long to dry. After I paid, I asked her if she had any problems with us and her response was to belittle me and refute me by saying that I did not understand what she was saying. How? I'm Vietnamese also? It was late but I desperately needed my toes and nail done and came to the mall since salons here open later. I have normally went to nail pro and never felt satisfied so I wanted to try Zoe's which had better ratings but their tech was gone and they said angel nails was upstairs. As my toes were getting done I decided to look up angel nails. They had bad reviews but my experience was far from bad. Lynn did my toes and nails and Tiffany finished it up. They were WONDERFUL! Lynn let me try on a few options because I couldn't decide which color I liked and was so careful with details. And even though it was late Lynn gave me a great foot massage and callous removal (for free - I saw someone say it was charged but I didn't get any extra charges). I didn't get any hand massage or anything extra with it but I hadn't asked or requested plus it was late. Anyway - I loved my nails as well (I got a new shape and they were really great!) the price was very good too - $85 for gel mani and gel pedi!! Nail Pro would charge over $100 for much lower quality. I don't know what's up with some of the lower reviews - my experience was great. But I believe Lynn and Tiffany only work on the weekends- so I will definitely be coming back then to see them! They were rough and overly enthusiastic with the cuticle trimmers, not particularly friendly, and acted like we were inconveniencing THEM, even though they were going to be open another 2/5 hours. Beware you can't leave a tip on your credit card, but if you pull out $20 from the nearby ATM, they'll give you the stink eye if you leave anything less than a $10 tip for a $40 service. I got my nails done this week and quickly thereafter noticed my nails were turning color and looked as though they had ink on them. DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE!! I went here yesterday to get a refill. The lady (Kim) did my refill in 15 mins. When i got home, I realized my nails were crooked and the color didnt look right on me. So today, I went to another place just to get a polish changed and asked the lady to buff it a little to make it look straight. As she removed the nail polish she showed me that the refilled was sloppy that it was lifting and indeed my nails were crooked. She even showed all the other techs and they too agreed. this place should work on EVERYTHING. i understand that most people do not speak a lot of english, but at least know how to do things right at your work place. terrible experience. I had to leave an come back with an appointment bc they were taking so long and even then i had to wait for half an hour for someone to give me minor attention. The lady hurt me so much and tbh i think she did it on purpose. She was not careful at all. She held my fingers really tight and kept scratching and cutting my skin. she got really mad when i asked her or fix the shape and length bc it was ugly am son the one who has to live with these nails. To this day i'm still in pain because she did such a bad job glueing the acrylics to my nails. The paint job is terrible and you can very well see hairs dust and bubbles. This is the worst mani/pedi I've ever had in my life. I do a better job at home! The place was empty and there was only a little old lady to do my nails. She was extremely sweet and friendly, but she should not be doing nails. It looks like maybe she can't see very well, because the nail polish is all uneven, some even on my skin. The worst part is I paid for gel, so it was even more expensive. I'm getting married this weekend, so I have to have them redone. Normally I would just live with it, but my nails will be on display. I'm mad at myself for not noticing how bad they looked when I was paying and asking for a refund! Warning, do not get your nails done by a little old lady here. read more

I don't get my nails done that often anymore but when I do I go here. I get someone different everytime and I've only had one sub par experience (I always get acrylics done when I go and this one time the pink was too pink but nothing I couldn't live with). They're always nice and ask me after every step if it's looking okay and if it's what I want. What I get done: a full acrylic set. Not too long, not too short. Oval shaped. Tipped painted a fun color. Gel over top. My most recent visit was the best by far. I'm extremely happy with the results. And the guy was very nice and didn't talk a lot (which I like) I will say that my nails do start to lift a bit sooner than they should but I'm not a super fussy person. read more

Linda is awesome!! I have been going to Linda for a little over 6 months, and she is the best technician in the entire shop! Not only does she take excellent care of my nails, but she always gives excellent customer service. Every 3 weeks I get a gel manicure and eyebrow waxing, and I am never disappointed. Before I started going to Linda my nails were in bad shape, but now they always look amazing!!
