I made an appointment for 9 am on Saturday. They required my e mail address and cell phone number to make the appointment. I received a confirmation of the appointment via text message. When I arrived for the appointment, they were closed and the posted hour said they opened at 10 am. I called the number included in their text message and it was a wrong number. So I looked up the number online and called. There was no answer so I left a message. I also responded to the text message. 11 hours later, they have not responded to my voice mail or the text message. I waited 15 minutes then gave up and went elsewhere. read more

I've been a consistent customer since they opened. Today decided no more weekends. The location is great, salon is lovely, prices fair, consistently clean, and the techs have expertise but different vibe and staff M-F. Most techs are nice and when there is a FT manager at the desk, she says hello and thank you, and is quite gracious. Today my tech B. was intent on sweeping and closing as soon as possible. I understand as it was close to close but did not appreciate how the tech threw my shoes and that she initially refused my request to dry with the fan. I asked the front desk person to help get my car keys as the tech was intently sweeping. I don't expect a red carpet but normally I thank the tech and tip 20-25% and nice to have a pleasant exchange. I respect if you have to go home asap but takes a second to let the customer know their service is complete and close the service on good terms. read more

BEWARE OF THE UPCHARGES! I messaged the salon on instagram beforehand CONFIRMING the pricing of each and every detail. Accounting for the set I had on at the time, soak off, new set shape, color, etc. You name it, I mentioned it. I was confirmed that did be paying about $65-70 but left paying $95 at a DISCOUNTED rate. I had booked under acrylic set and was persuaded by my nail tech to go with Gel X, having had bad experiences before w nail techs that insist on Gel X usually because they do not like or cannot work with Acrylic and due to my time constraints I went with the gel x. Before they were applied I asked "how much of a price difference would it be?" To which my tech said "oh not much about $5". I regret not pushing for more detail. The nails ended up beautifully and the service was decent, but I do not believe the price point is the best. If you do go here, be prepared for that price tag!!! read more

My son is in the NICU and I had to have my gel removed immediately so I could be allowed to stay with him. This was the closest nail place to the hospital. Obviously I didn't care about the price and did not ask beforehand. But charging me $37 to soak off my nails under those (or any) circumstances is unconscionable. I always get a regular nail polish for my hands and have never had such a bad experience. The regular polish with the "new" labels are supposed to be better but they must be old or not well cared for. ($5 up charge made the whole thing even more unbelievable). It was goopy and made a mess and would not dry. Even after a few hours at home, it was still soft and denting and coming off. Be careful to avoid the regular nail polish! My first nail tech was kind and careful but the Second Lady who tried to fix it was rude and impatient. She even said some things in Vietnamese muttered under her breath in front of me! NOTE: The picture I posted (of my nails) with this is it SNS dip that I had done THREE weeks ago!! I posted it so you can see how long it lasted and what it looks today -with like with three weeks of "wear and tear" of a busy working single mom of a little one. And, yes I just made my appointment a few minutes ago online, so I can go in this afternoon and get a fresh manicure. ‍ Fast forward a 2-3 months, and I am a regular. Thu is always a joy - which is nice, considering I am there for over an hour each time. And, I can also speak to her waxing jobs, and can say she does a great job. She is soooo fast and smooth with it, and it always looks good. Usually I have to go home and tweak the waxing job - because I have naturally blonde hair and it's hard see them hairs to wax/pluck. But, I usually only have to snag a handful of little white-blonde hairs when I get home... Which I am thankful for. I can't speak to the other employees work, but there are a few employees that are always busy, and I notice they have regulars. And, if you're one of those people that gets worried/concerned with the language barrier, there is one employee who is clearly a native English speaker. But, Thu is awesome for concession and assistance. We have the best conversations - and the good part is we get each other's jokes. It's seriously a joy to go see her; even though I am paying her to "hang out". ‍ Ohh, and one time the SNS dip started cracked and chipping a lot after just a couple days. It was just one of those colors that maybe wasn't made properly, etc., because this isn't typically the case. Even though they have a sign that says their work is "non-refundable"; I knew Thu would know this was a chance happening, especially since it has only been a day or two since I for my nails done. So; I emailed and explained what happened and asked to be seen. They fit me in the next day and Thu kindly apologized and let me pick a new color and she re-did my whole set for me. I was more than happy, and the SNS dip stayed on for almost 3 weeks. As I type this, I can say that my last SNS was done by Thu exactly 3 weeks ago!! And, I just went online and made an appointment for later today for my nails and waxing. PS -They have "happy hour" specials during the week Monday-Thursday from 10-3 AND ALL DAY Fridays for a BUNCH of services!! I always go then because it saves me $5 on my SNS dip, so it ends up being $50. And then it offsets the cost of adding the waxing. PPS - I always take cash, because I ALWAYS tip everywhere possible in cash (for obvious reasons). BUT, be sure to take cash or have to e Venmo app to tip. Those are the ONLY two ways you can tip!! So, don't be that person who says they have to 'go to the ATM and get cash - because ya know we all think you're gonna skip out paying. So, the moral of this little story is to be a kind human and get the Venmo app if you can't or don't want to get cash. read more

#1 - Safety These people do not take everyone's temperature as they come in! #2 - Nails I had a fullset SNS done with Cici but for some reason 7 of them lifted on the 5th days, this never happened before. So I called the salon on the 7th days to come in for a fix but giving my nails situation, that should be redone entirely. I spoke to Vivi, she told me to come in so she can take a look and fix it. She DID NOT MENTION THAT CICI is off that day. I came into the shop , she pushed me to another lady which never did my nails before. I insist that the work was done by Cici because I only go to Cici. Anyway, she then told me that Cici is not here today. Then why did you asked me to come in when you know the tech that does my nails was not there that day?!?!!. Professional and as an owner she did not redo my nails at no cost because her tech didn't do a decent job. She redo a worse job and charged me another $65 +tips. That's $130 for 2 sets of nails when both wasn't done right! I will pay because I don't like to go out again in this condition but will I come back to this salon? NO! Terrible service and responsibility! CHECK OUT the picture on Vivi's fullset SNS. Edit: 1. When I called you should told me on the phone that Cece is NOT THERE THAT DAY so I don't have to come in for anything fixed. Who would want to make multiple trips to the salon during COVID time? Every time I come here I have a bad experience but I keep trying to give it a chance cause it's near my house. I came for a double French. Gel mani and regular pedi. Tell me why it took almost 3 hrs... On top of that my nail broke the next day due to the shape being too narrow. A crack had formed on the side of the nail a little below the fingertip end. I called ahead to get an appt to get it fixed. They tell me the nail tech I worked with wasn't in but that it would be okay because someone else could fix it. I explain I want it cut and a tip put on and it redone. I arrive and get told that NO ONE (of the 5 experienced techs in the salon) can fix it and that only the nail tech I worked with can but she is gone for 2 days. I cannot come back in two days because I will be out of town hence getting them done early. They then state that they are only able to glue it since the design was too complicated... please check the picture... Not once did I ever ask for it to be free. I was willing to pay to get it redone even though i did not believe I received what I originally paid for. But instead was met with very poor customer service. I've gone to most salons in the NoVA area for the past 10 years. There are a few that know me to be a consistent costumer. This is by far one of the more disappointing interactions I've had thus far. Usually they end up chipping or lifting before the full 2 wks and my nails end up pretty brittle. This was not the case with my most recent gel manicure at Luxe. I had a gel mani/regular polish pedi with Rose. I think the pedicure was just fine, but left some rough spots behind. However my gel manicure was still fantastic at the 2 week mark! Rose was very detail oriented and took a lot of time on my nails. I think if it weren't for the nail growth I could have keep the polish on for longer. I def plan to come back again to get my nails done in the future. I have been to the other nail salon in Mosaic and I like the atmosphere of this one better. I decided to try Luxe Nail Lounge's Friday happy hour to treat myself to a mani and pedi. Unfortunately, I cannot say my experience ended on a happy note for the following reasons: 1.) My nail tech cut my nail bed during my gel manicure and made my cuticle bleed. 2.) I was upcharged $5 for the special nail polish without being notified prior to check out, thus invalidating the happy hour special. The upgraded nail polishes are not indicated in any way, shape, or form in the nail swatches. 3.) My nail polish on my pedicure did not set properly and buckled shortly after application. The nail polish was redone the next day, and I sat under the fan for 15 minutes to ensure that it dried. I am back a second time to redo the same toe after it chipped three days later. The nail tech even blamed me for not sitting under the fan while redoing the toenail, which I did. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the overall service, the go-to response was to offer me a gift card. I had to explain to the cashier that the tech damaged my nail bed before she even called the manager to see what she could do. Although I was refunded for the manicure, I still had to pay for a pedicure that I have had redone twice now. Although I rarely treat myself to getting my nails done, I have never had so many things go wrong during a pampering session. I can truly say that I left the salon in worse shape than when stepped in. I would highly suggest you take your nail services anywhere else in Mosaic. Luxe is cheaper than its competitors, but the quality and overall experience are lower class. read more

A very nice nail salon located in Mosaic with a good Happy Hour deal from 10am to 3pm during the week. The gel manicure is $35 as opposed to the normal $40. The first time I had the gel manicure and regular pedicure which took just around an hour or so. The interior is very modern and clean feeling with massage chairs, jet baths and complimentary cookies and waters. They have a large selection of OPI colors with those with a silver top costing $5 extra. The technicians have always been friendly and trimmed my nails/ cuticles evenly and without making me bleed. They will also remove the gel for free of you also agree to get another gel manicure. I now see how people always have their nails done! My nails typically last 2 weeks before I can start to see the gap where my nail is growing or some of the nails begin to peel. So far I have been impressed with the longevity of the paint. I typically try to go just once per month. During the weekday HH I have never had to wait but if you go after work, you can walk in or schedule an appointment online/calling if in a rush. I also like that the technicians accept Venmo for tip! I have been here a couple of times now always leave feeling pampered and relaxed. I've ventured past Luxe a few times before but never tried them out until yesterday. The last salon I went to left my nails terribly sore and I knew I did not want to return. I went into Luxe on an early Sunday afternoon before they got too busy and was immediately serviced after picking a color. Stephanie did my pedicure, fill in with gel polish, and a chin wax. I was pleasantly surprised when she brought a fresh orange slice over to the pedicure station as I had never experienced that before but apparently it's used for fresh vitamins and exfoliation. Am I the only one who didn't know that this was a thing? Anywho. Stephanie starts on my nails and after drilling off the gel polish, explained why my last experience hurt so bad. The previous nail tech drilled too far into my nail and also left the shaping off on the nails. Stephanie took her time with getting the shapes together and filling in the acrylic. I've never not experiencing someone rush through application but Stephanie really took her time and was precise and thorough and was much appreciated. Overall I'm satisfied with the quality of customer service as well as the quality of my nails. I was a bit thrown off by the pricing, as they are higher than I'm used to paying in MoCo but the higher price is worth the higher quality and better service. I was offered a drink & a snack too. I got a pedi that day which came out great, and so when I saw the results of my friend's mani I went back the very next day to get that done as well! Then Tiffany guided me to her mani table and from the start I knew she wasn't giving me acrylic so I said something... she told me she doesn't do acrylic only regular gel and then proceeded to talk in Vietnamese with another women named Sophia. Now let me tell you about SOPHIA ... this women was yelling and aggressive like they just pulled her out of a looney hospital. Extremely Rude and disrespectful it was obvious she didn't want to take me and do my acrylic.. then she proceeded to ask me several times if the guy in front knew I wanted acrylic like she wanted to get him in trouble. She yelled and fought with 2 people while doing my nails while I was there, I felt humiliated embarrassed and Unwelcomed, but because I had a morning flight I decided to stay and finish this nightmare of appointment or else I would walked right out the door!
