Nail Palace is the best all around place I have used. I've been getting acrylic, powder dip, pedis brows done for over 30 years. Most of those years I worked full time, so I always make appointments and that is very important to me. I go every two weeks. I left the other place because the other place made too many mistakes with my appointment times. The only appointment mistake at Nail Palace in the last four years that I have been going there was MINE! They were extremely busy, but Tyler, the manager, fit me in for my nails. I waited of course, but I was happy that I did not have to come back. Since Tyler has been there (About 3 years?), I have absolutely no complaints. I have had services with every technician there, and every one was polite and did a good job. The place is spacious and clean, equipment updated. Parking is plentiful, too. I would like to add an important personal note after reading a couple of negative reviews. A couple of times while I was there, I saw clients, not many, but who behave negatively toward technicians, talking rudely, treating them as if they were better than the techs, These are angry people who are rarely happy with anyone or their service. Yet never have I seen nor heard a negative response from any technician at Nail Palace. Also, they are from a different culture from ours (Not Chinese, as one woman said in a review, someone who pre-supposed the ethnicity of the technician that has nothing to do with a review. She was also wrong!). Many people misunderstand the meaning or intent of people from other cultures. It takes years to integrate into the United States, our language, and our culture. The only thing I experience at Nail Palace is kindness, special attention, smiles, joking with me and other customers... And great nails and pedis. I suspect that's because I get so much joy by being kind, joke around, and I love to smile because it makes me feel good... It also makes others relax, smile, and be kind. As a psychologist, I know for a fact that kindness, attempts at understanding others without judging, smiles and laughter, are healthier than being negative. read more

This was my first time coming here and I was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and spacious. My nails were really messed up from a different nail place and they were super thick. The guy who did my nails made them a lot thinner and shaped them well. I told him to "surprise me" for the color. He did an awesome job and got creative! Love my nails. read more

After hearing extreme mixed reviews ranging from awful to amazing I figured I'd give it a try. I got the Gel Manicure with Melany and I'm not impressed. She was so rushed and not friendly. I don't often get my nails done and she kept rudely telling me to "not be so tense". My nails don't look awful which is why I gave the two stars but they weren't filed properly and I have jagged pieces to my nail. They also aren't the same size which is kind of an eyesore. She asked me if I wanted just polish or the "full deluxe" and I said the full deluxe. All that was done was trimmed and filed. No lotion and no massage. For $30 I could've gone elsewhere and will next time. Also the entire salon reeks so badly of acetone it's hard to breathe. No proper ventilation and that freaks me out. I can't recommend this place to anyone. I went in about two weeks ago for dip powder nails and left in pain and with bleeding cuticules and paper thin nail beds on all my fingers from the drill she used on my bare natural nails. I went home and soaked my fingers in alcohol to try an avoid any infection. The women who was doing my nails, just ignored the fact that several of my fingers were bleeding and she proceeded to file/drill my nails even though I flinched several times and told her that I had "sensitive skin and nails" just to try and get her to stop. Just yesterday I had two of my nails fall off! Not just the dip powder, my actual nail! Never in my life have a had a fingernail or toenail fall off. I get my nails done frequently as well (acrylics, gel, etc.) and have never had anything like this happen before. I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else! read more

I have not been here but my husband has twice. Yesterday he went in for a pedicure. It was weird because he was only there for like 15 minutes. He didn't act like anything was a problem. This morning is another story, he came in asking for antibacterial ointment for the bottoms of his feet. The bottom of his feet are so torn up and cut up they are bleeding. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get infected feet or cut up feet. We have been to several salons and have never had this problem I just hope it does not get worse and infected. Now I am being harassed by melany l accusing my husband of not coming here and that they have not done any men lately. Bad infection after visit. I saw the techs reusing tools and files in between customers. Technician Annie gave me a pedicure wearing no gloves. I then had gel nails. The gel was placed thickly over my skin which started to irritate it. Very sore. I called and the owners daughter told me to come in and they would fix. When I arrived she made me wait 30 minutes. Then relooked at them and told me there was nothing she could do to help me. That's how badly the nails were covering the skin. Refused to show me the technicians liscense. I then had to go to urgent care and have gel covering my skin removed. Health Dept stated this salon generates many complaints. I got a mani/pedi done today. It was the best pedicure I've ever had. Annie was amazing. I got a nice leg massage, scrub, soak and my toes look awesome. I decided to get a gel manicure which was nice as well. I only wish it included the salt scrub like the regular manicure, both that's my only complaint. This salon is clean, the staff is nice and they have a large selection of polish colors. I got a deluxe pedicure ($40) so the massage was very long, it included callus removal and has lasted about 45 minutes so far. One super cute thing is the little girl "kitty" pedicure chair. Love this! Overall I like this salon and will be coming back, mostly based off of the cleanliness, relaxing decor and the fact that the staff wasn't pushy with upsales or anything like that. I am 9 months pregnant and have been truly uncomfortable. I have super swollen legs, ankles and feet due to retaining so much fluid from my pregnancy and so, was yearning for a good pedicure to help me relax and soothe my swollen feet! I went to Nail Palace, hoping to find just that. However, I unfortunately left feeling more anxious and upset than I did when I arrived. It began as soon as I lowered my feet into the tub - the water was scalding hot. The technician cooled the water off when I asked her and then began clipping my toe nails but cut my toe right open and made me bleed! She only apologized after I jumped and said "ouch!" She then started filing my toe nails with a sharp file, no concern for if she were hurting me, which she was. Again, I said "ouch!" and asked her to please be more gentle. She then began speaking in Vietnamese (I assume?) and laughing with the other technicians and one by one, they all turned and looked at me. Are you kidding me?! While rinsing my feet, she again scalded me with extremely hot water, rushed through polishing my toe nails and when I got up, they were smudged. I asked her to fix them (not only were they smudged but I had nail polish all over my toes, themselves). Instead of removing the polish and painting them again, she just layered on another coat making them look even more sloppy. What the hell was I paying $40 for?! I had originally signed up to receive a manicure too but after this shitty experience, all I wanted to do was get out of there and never go back! This was by far, the worst pedicure I've ever received! I will never return to Nail Palace. The technicians are rude, the place smells like feet and they treat their customers like a factory line. read more

A friend and I both went together and her finger got cut from the file. Also both of us got our nails done and both had a broken nail within the second day. My nails were not super long to begin with, but I had started growing them out a little and the woman filed them down so much that they're uncomfortably short. I left Toronto in the AM for Buffalo to attend a wedding that my cousin invited me to as her plus one at the last minute. I was waiting at the border when I realized that my nails had started chipping- disaster! I cannot stand chipped nails and usually will take off the colour as soon as I see a chip but I didn't have any nail polish remover. I figured, oh well, can't do anything now. Not being from the area, I got lost on my way to my cousin's house and I saw the sign. It looked like a new plaza so it had to be clean, right? I took my chances. I popped in and found a large, CLEAN salon. It's like it was meant to be! It was pretty empty (Friday, early afternoon), except for a mother and daughter who were having pedis done. Super cute pink chair for little girls! I told them I wanted to have a just a regular mani done so she told me to choose a colour and have a seat. They were very thorough and did a great job. They listened to me and cut my cuticles only a little. That easily puts them in my good books! (A lot of places won't even listen to you and they just do whatever they want!!) My nails dried quickly enough that I could touch and fidget with things as soon as I got to my cousin's house and she had no idea that I had made a "detour" and gotten my nails done without her! My nails lasted about 10 days without chipping... AMAZING!! That's even longer than when I do them at home. Maybe this is why people go out and pay to get their nails done?! Nonetheless, the workers were super friendly and chatted with you just enough so that you didn't feel awkward sitting there in silence. I would definitely recommend! Not too sure how their pedis are, but I am completely satisfied with the mani I had and the next time I'm in Buffalo, will def take my cousin here "acidentally" for manis and/or pedis. The only difference between a regular pedicure ($25) and a deluxe pedicure ($45) is the scent of some of the products that they use. I would like more work on scraping your feet but the paint job on my pedi lasted a long, long time. As far as my manicure, they cut two of my fingers when cutting my cuticles and the paint did not fully cover my nail. I would suggest going during a slow time, they seem to take more time on you then. I will probably only go back for my feet though. read more

I have never been treated so unkind in my life!! I go in to this nail salon to get my acrylics taken off and the to try their dip nails. I get seated and they girl starts taking off my acrylic then right away gets ready to do the dip nails. I ask her to please finish taking off the acrylic because there is still a lot on, she tells me no that it's all off. So I tell her that I still see some on can you please take the rest off she then puts my hand in a bowl and leaves. About 15 minutes later another girl comes and does my nails. She finishes taking off the acrylic and begins the dip. While doing the dip she misses a few spots on the sides and then clumps in the dip. I ask her if she was planning on thinning it out, she says yes and puts a top coat hung on and tells me to wash my hands. I do and she puts another top coat in and I ask her if she's still going to thin them out and she said no I'm done! I then was really frustrated and asked to have them taken off. They didn't look good and I was there for over a hour and a half!! Another girl comes and instead of fixing them just puts more powder on and is making it worse. I ask her to just please take them off. She says ok but your still paying me!!! I'm like really? Then after going back I tell her fine ill pay if you take them off. She says okay pay me now so I paid her the $45 she requested. Then she asks if she's taking them off or if she's fixing them. I told her I want them off like we agreed on when you wanted me to pay you. She then looks at me and said that if I want them taken off it'll be another $10!!!! I told her you lied to me, you said if I paid you now you would take them off she just stares at me and starts talking Chinese! Then this guy(the owner) said that they Work on labor and that if I want them off I have to pay. I told him that she told me that she'll take them off if I pay her.
