Anne's Nails

Almost any nail salon qualifies as a hit-or-miss on some level, in my opinion. But I've had mostly…read moresatisfactory experiences at Anne's Nails, and I feel that the quality of the work done here vastly supersedes the other local nail salons I've tried. I was a regular at Anne's Nails before I moved away from the area seven years ago, and I tried a few different salons after I returned to Western New York, ultimately settling on Anne's. The only reason I hesitated to return to Anne's is because it's a bit of a drive from where I currently live, but I decided that I enjoy going there enough to make the drive. More often than not, I leave feeling very happy with how my nails look. For best results, make an appointment ahead of time and request Anne as your nail technician. She's a very nice person and is wonderful at doing nails -- fast, and also very skilled. Yesterday afternoon, Anne was not in, and a woman named Kim was filling in for her. She did an equally outstanding job on my nails, which feel incredibly natural for being acrylics. Kim was also fast and very pleasant. I also get my eyebrows done here, and am always happy with how they turn out, although I'm admittedly not as picky about my eyebrows as I am regarding my nails. I have acrylic nails (a tad old-school, I know), and I get gel color. Between that and my eyebrows, I spend $50 (plus tip) every two weeks -- a pretty standard price, in my experience, and worth it for the results.

It sort of pains me to see the current reviews for Anne's Nails. I am a regular customer of almost…read more2 years and if that doesn't already say anything then I am hoping my positive review will leave a better taste in others mouth's. I am a religious "get my nails done every two weeks" type of gal. Larry usually always does my nails and they are everything I could ask for each time. Anne has also done my nails and I was just as happy. I have never walked out of there, no matter who has done my nails, unsatisfied. While I strictly only get gel over my natural nails, there are plenty of services offered. Acrylic (full set and fills), Dip powder (which not everyone offers), basic and spa pedicures, facial waxing, etc. I am one of many loyal customers, it is nice to hear the staff asking things about their customer's lives. I have been in there and have seen other customers who have been going to Anne's for years, so they're obviously also going back for a reason!

Prices were so reasonable. Other salons in the area charge a lot more for the same service. They…read moredid a great job on the manicure itself after I had to take an extended break from gel polish to let my nails get healthy again. I arrived early for my appointment and even when I said I didn't mind waiting, they accommodated me. They had a waiting room full of people and were very quick to start clients and multitask in between (ex: starting a full set while letting a gel mani soak off). I only took one star off because I requested the white to be thinner and I ended up having to cut down the white part itself and filing once I got home because I didn't like how chunky it looked.

Went in there for a fill which they told me I needed a new set after only a week and a half having…read morethem. Proceeded to get a new set and when I showed them my design they quoted $130 for some glitter art work when one of my friends got x-long nails with cheetah French tips and a ton of gems and she only paid $100 meanwhile I get short almond nails that are simple. Charged for taking off my old set by ripping them off using a nail tip which then caused my fingers to start burning. I get acrylics for the solid reason that I bite my nails and this allowed them to grow, but not anymore. She proceeded to cut my natural nails all the way down to my skin which made me start tearing up. Never going to this place again and they were so rude and constantly bending my hand back and forth roughly.
