Hi! I have been coming here for pedicures for a couple years and they do a great job especially with ingrown toenails. I came here a few months ago for the first time with Kim for regular polish acrylic full set and she did an amazing job! I called ahead and decided to take a chance to get an acrylic fill for French with an older lady and I'm just disappointed. These nails are for my birthday weekend and I even asked for her to fix the white tips since she painted the pink on top of them. Unfortunately, my acrylic fill was still over my cuticle, the polish streaks were visible and white polish was left behind my backfill. My nails after a few hours are already chipping off and my nail tech kept walking away to talk on the phone while nails were drying and when I checked out to pay. I did come back shortly after my appt. To book a appt with Kim for a nail fix and she was still on the phone. I love this place for pedicures but very disappointed I paid and had a hard time vocalizing my frustration with how my birthday nails turned out. I don't know what to do since I sat for almost 2 hours to get them done and refixed and they still turned out like this. Hope somebody can help me somehow and fix these. Thank you! read more

The reason for only 3 stars was mostly because when I called before coming the gal on the phone told me that a gel manicure, on my real nails was only $20. I was like, GREAT! Sweet price! Well, when I was paying, she tried charging me $25 after telling her that was going to give her a $5 tip. I had to tell her that I called beforehand and they told me $20. I just felt frustrated that I had to say something.. the customer shouldn't have to speak up about the price. Overall, they came out beautifully and it was a good experience. The lady spoke broken English, which made it a little difficult to communicate; however, I didn't really want to chat but relax while getting my manicure. I'll definitely be back and do recommend but just make sure you only pay what they initially quote you. read more

Went in and they said had enough time for a manicure and pedicure First off the lamp they use to cure the gel polish was basically just an industrial microwave oven from the 70s so obviously it didn't cure the gel polish Highly doubt I get a refund because I left the salon just fine and this happened about two hours later glad I left a low tip Bc it was not worth the 35 dollars My hands as well are not painted evenly at all but that's fine because I'm not picky with my hands but basically it looks like I could've done a better job myself. I paid $25 for a gel fill and an older woman did them. I immediately could tell she was sloppy and did not know how to do them correctly, she had put the acrylic over my cuticle. 3 days later all of my nails fell off. I call and I go in and she fixed them. Here I am again, my nails popping off 3 days later. She uses the same drill to file the nail and to drill down the acrylic, has no idea what she is doing. Big waste of my time. I will never be returning unless I want a pedicure! Since it is only $17 and that's the only thing they are good at. Don't even bother and waste your time. I have visited the Nail Expo on Indian School Road a few times now. I always get the same person (her name escapes me right now) and she is very good. She has done manicures as well as eyebrow waxing for me and I find her to be a very good waxer. The manicures were not perfect, but very serviceable and lasted well. This is a more comfortable place than others I have been to and there isn't a constant upsell about everything. She was friendly and we talked about families and children with ease. So I got a full set of french before Thanksgiving. She was quick and talkative but the quality of her work was awful! Within 2 days they were coming up and cracking on the sides. The nail technician was an older lady who claimed to have been doing nails for 18 + years. She ruined my nails and I was only there for a fill in. I arrived at approximately 9:00 am and didn't get out until after 11:00 am. I had to pull my hand back several times because she was burning my nails and she filed 2 of my fingers with the shaping instrument. Today, I had to go to the pharmacy to get medicine for broken and bleeding skin on 2 of my fingers. I should report this to the State of AZ Cosmetology Board. I honestly do not think she is licensed to be doing nails. I will NEVER EVER go back to this place and I showed my coworkers how my skin looks after my so called "fill in." Anyway, one of the ladies was on her phone the entire time and only one woman was working at the time, when clearly there was three women there. The lady that did my nails didn't use new tools or sterilized the ones she was using. She used the same rag the lady before me was using. The woman did such a crappy job on my acrylic nails, like the acrylic was just on my nails. It was over my nail bed and even on my finger tips. The paint was done shitty and I just wanted to be done. One nail broke two days later and I went to a different shop to get it fix. Then two days later the acrylic was lifting up on my nails. The nails didn't even last a full week. The place is dirty and it smells. Don't go. I would have taken pictures, but I couldn't find them on yelp... the name that was on the building was lee and then I drive by and it's called nail expo. They know my name and I never have to wait very long if at all and if they are busy they let me know a good time to come back. I got gel nails for my mani and the side of my nails weren't painted so I asked her to fix it and ended up with polish all over my skin! I had to have big toe repainted 3 times because it was bubbling (left and came back 2x in one day) yea it's cheap but the saying you get what you pay for couldn't be more true for this awful place!!! I have not ever wrote a review.... This was a must!! I've been getting my nails done over 10years now and this has been by far the absolute WORST!! I am new to the area and was in need of a nail fix! I called and set an appt for pink/white & pedi. As I went in no one greeted me, I then said "Umm I have an appt" a lady said "sit here". The nail table looked like it had not been cleaned for DAYS!!! (I told myself to be patient.) she started it was going smooth, at first. Right before she was about to put the acrylic on she couldn't find the pink powder, after 15 minutes it was under the sink no where near her station; welp the organization was out the window! She proceeded, the acrylic was EVERYWHERE, her fingers were sticking to mine it seemed as if a 10year old was doing nails for the first time. I asked her to narrow them from the beginning and she didn't bother to listen as she was about to apply the gel on I pulled away and said "I want them narrow not wide". She started to narrow them, 3 fingers later were bleeding and she smiled and said "oops sorry, I fix, I fix." As my nails were under a black light the gel was clumping up and she started to get upset with me as if it was my fault. It took her 3x to stop the gel from clumping, she didnt say a word to me but then handed me off to someone else. I was a bit confused and the new lady taking care of me and said what color would you like for your pedi? I said "I'm not getting a pedi here, thanks! I go up and they ask for $40.... I simply said "NOPE! I refuse to pay full price for these". They then said "Well she already did the labor." I said "that's fine but she did a horrible job and I'll be paying $25, and that's more than ok because I shouldn't be paying for these at all!!" THREE DAYS LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9 out of 10 of my nails ARE LIFTING!!!!!!! This is honestly your choice to go hear of not, GOOD LUCK UGH!!!! read more

This was my first manicure in years - other manicures were so bad, that I just started doing them myself. However, because I was going out of town, I decided to get gels for the first time. LOVE THEM!! Tina was outstanding. She did my manicure and pedicure. This was the BEST manicure I've ever had. She was super careful in cutting my cuticles and took extra care in painting. They don't use primer for the long lasting nail polish and then it chips. I went back to have the lady fix it and she did the same poor procedure. I wonder if they want your nails to chip. read more
