First impressions are key and this place hit it out of the park! Bravo! Decor was cool as all get out, the lighting was very unique and abstract. Service was very tentative and speedy as well and was not being helicopter-ish. In and out for lunch in under an hour! MAKE RESERVATIONS! The food. Chips were awesome! I mean awesome, still warm and crunchy fresh out of the fryer. The salsa that came with the endless $2 (chips and salsa were not free, not sure if this is a new trend but believe you me I am not a fan! This is America, chips and salsa should be free, especially when the prices on the other items were a little ways up there, but I digress) chips were tasty. The little bowl the salsa came in was little indeed and needed refreshed frequently. After about 4-6 solid dips it was gone. I ordered the Carnitas Tacos, received 2 regular soft tacos and then ordered the house salad as a side (Ill get into this later) for a total of 12 bones. The tacos were pretty dang good. The guacamole was ok, and to be honest looked as if it was from a tube. Swear. I like my guac with chunks of avocado and not pureed and pushed out of a tube. The salad was served out of a small bowl, about the size of a regular coffee mug. For 3 bucks for a house salad I would want something a little more. I mean sure, if you wanna do some portion control, go here, don't order the chips and you'll be set. But as stated above, this is AMERICA and I would like normal American size portions! Salty, salty, salty....everything! I ordered a large el jefe con pollo salad . Wish I had taken a picture. It was teeny tiny, I cannot imagine what a small would have looked like. It was basically a handful of greens with some thinly sliced, cold chicken. $15? Are you kidding me?????? The guacamole was very salty and tasted like store bought! Texture was smooth. I came here on a Friday at about 3pm. There were a few tables on the patio but no one inside but us. Happy hour started at 3. I had a glass of wine, guacamole, and two tacos, and my bill came to just over 19 dollars. If I had eaten there after happy hour I wouldn't have felt it was a good value, but during happy hour it was. My wine was good, guacamole was tasty, although it was not spicy at all. Chips were a little oily but crispy. Salsa was so-so. My chicken tacos were very good. The chicken was cooked well, there was a good amount of cheese, and the pico and guacamole inside gave it a good flavor. Our service was good, though our server had no other tables, so if it was bad that would have been really shameful. This is a trendy place that I think probably isn't worth waiting an hour for a table at and then overpaying. Go during happy hour. read more

I will go ahead and list off all the positives first... The place sure is classy. They are quite the new hip Mexican restaurant around town. You will know what I mean when you walk in. The entrance has a bar surrounded by shelves of top shelf liquor encased in glass on display. Not to mention, there is a secret door that opens to a private room on the left! Check it out!!! They have cool chairs, lights, utensils, and bathrooms. The place is just flat out cool, plus, the food tastes very fresh. There are some problems, however. You do not get much bang for your buck. The portion sizes are SMALL for what you pay... And I even ordered a "large plate". The BIGGEST problem is the drink prices. A liter of margarita is $29!! I recommend not ordering alcoholic beverages, your receipt will quickly reach triple digits before you know it, especially with a date! If you are planning on heading out after Nada for a night on the town to slam adult beverages, I would wait until you get out of here. I have now had two amazing experiences at Nada. I don't remember much about the first (no, I did not throw back too many margs - it was just too long ago!), so I'll recount my most recent, which was tonight. It's rare that I jump right on the computer to write a review, but we had incredible service tonight and I felt it worth immediately sharing. We took a seat on the patio around 5pm. Lucky for us, there was an abundance of seating, and there's no bad seat on the patio. We did the three salsa trio samples - they were delicious AND our servers immediately filled up our chip bowl to make sure we always had something to dip. The chips are obviously homemade, buttery, a tough - perfect for salsa dipping! My fiancé ordered the yucatan chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and perfect seasoning. I had three tacos - Pastor, Chicken and Barbacoa. I didn't through the chicken because I was so full from completely devouring the Pastor and Barbacoa. But this is where we really started to love this place. The server brings out a dessert menu, and I asked her to read off the Gelato flavors. She named three, and I picked the Salted Caramel. My fiancé made a face and said, You made the wrong choice! He wanted me to order the Banana Fosters so he could steal a few bites. So, I agreed to switch my order so my sweet man could enjoy it as well. Instead of bringing us the Bananas Foster gelato like we asked, she brought out BOTH - with the Salted Caramel on the house. She knew that's what I really wanted, and didn't want me to miss out just because I ordered something I could share with my date. She also was really passionate about the salted caramel - so much so that she wanted me to be able to try it. Nada, I hope you're listening. I don't remember her name (ACK!), but you have got to keep her on staff. You want people who are just as excited about the food as you are. And because she gave it to us on the house, we fell head over heels for this place. Not because it was free - we can afford two gelatos - but because of the gesture. So my friends and I tried out this restaurant simply because we thought the outside was so cute! Loved the ambiance inside just as much as the building. We ended up eating outside b/c it was all booked for the night. We would have waited over an hour for a table inside (but as expected in the arena district on the night of a Jackets game) Our waitress was fantabulous! The saltymole was as sounds, salty. Mexican mac n cheese was as Mexican as Jeb Bush. The biggest problem of Nada was the fact that they used flour tortillas. Who charges for flour tortillas? Nada will go out of business before their flour tortillas expire. Like how hard is it to hire someone to press Masa into discs? How cheap can you be to make tacos with flour tortillas? I mean fine, hard times when every Average Joe thinks they can cook ethnic cuisine, so you gotta stay competitive right? At least let your chefs know that putting flour tortillas on the grill or pan is acceptable. Don't they teach you that on Youtube? Chicken Al Carbon was just GFS chicken strips that were perfectly complimentary of the cold tortilla. Nothing beats cold chicken and cold dough. Black bean puree was just three individual black beans... and praise the lord they forgot the saltymole in my tacos. Winston Churchill's tacos were weird. Just beef, mixture of condiments, and this crispy string of whatever. Probably prefab everything. I feel bad for Hispanic/Latino cuisine. Riding on the coat-tails of ethnic cuisine is stupid. Interpretation or not, at least respect the original culture instead of halfassing it. I wouldn't draw a picture of poop in cubes and try and sell it as a Picasso. If you're so inspired by Mexican cuisine then maybe go to Mexico and learn about the food anf culture first. Real talk if you want tacos go support Mexican families in your neighborhood who run taquerias. It's not as costly and actually tastes better. I have been to Nada on many occasions before & been very satisfied with the food and service. However! They now have a new menu - and apparently new kitchen / wait staff. My last visit was so bad I may never return. The hostess took 10 minutes to figure out how to seat a party of 4 in an empty restaurant. We were then approached by our waiter 10 minutes after being seated, apologizing that he was the only server on and swamped. My good friends had to wait 15 minutes for an iced tea. They ordered the Quesadilla chicken taco salad that was supposed to include black beans, charred corn, cohita cheese, and spicy avocado dressing. They came with none of those, just a dry bed of lettuce and a kid sized quesadilla..... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! We were so pleased with Nada. I've been to the one in Cinci but didn't even remember until we'd already ordered. We went last night (not realizing they had just opened the night before) and needed a table for 2 quickly b/c we were headed to a concert. Other places in the area had waits of 45-90 minutes. We were able to walk right in and get a table. Our waiter was very amenable to us being in a bit of our hurry. Only 2 beers on tap but it looked like they had more (6 or 8?) handles available, maybe just not set up yet. I'm a bit fan of "mule" cocktails and they had a Mexican mule with tequila that was very good. Chips and salsa were better than you'd typically get at a more casual restaurant with similar food. They were $3, not free if that bothers you but we didn't care. 3 tacos for $16 is pricier than some places but they were very good. Husband had the pork belly and I had a shaved ribeye (forgot the actual name). Unfortunately we didn't have any time to look over the rest of the menu but everything we tasted was great. Brunch was great! The drinks were excellent. I had the velvet underground (recommended by the server) and the coffee+tequila seemed to be a hit as well. I ordered the Eggs Benedict (with goetta). As a non-Cincinnati native I've never had goetta before, but this was a good first impression. Very flavorful and the eggs were cooked perfectly. A perfect portion as well. The guacamole and salsas were very flavorful and the chips were crunchy but not greasy. My favorite part of the meal was hands-down the dessert. It was a birthday celebration so they treated us to complimentary churros and flan. I absolutely loved both. Tip- dip the churro in the flan. Yum! After reading so many great reviews about Nada, I knew I had to try! My friend and I went here for dinner a few days ago and we both really enjoyed it. The decor is fab. Loved the ambience! It was a cool mix of trendy, upscale, and hipster. Above all, it was very welcoming. For dinner, I ordered the carnitas tacos and my friend ordered the Mexican mac n' cheese. The carnitas tacos (comes with 3) were fresh and quite filling. I ordered the tacos with spice level "diablo" with the sauce on the side because I was worried the dish would be too spicy. However, it wasn't spicy at all. I think next time I'll request the next spiciest level. The mac n' cheese was mixed with peppers and my friend said it also wasn't spicy, yet still quite enjoyable. For dessert (the best part of the meal!), we shared the warm chocolate torte. IT WAS AMAZING! Not only was the chocolate torte oozing with molten chocolatey goodness, it was topped with a deliciously divine bananas foster gelato. YOU MUST ORDER THIS IF YOU GO HERE. Now... where oh where do I begin. READ this review before going to BRUNCH. Party of 4 on Saturday (during Ohio State game) so it was empty and not busy what so ever. We sat outside and had a waiter who was so incredibly awkward and quiet I don't know how he ever got the job. But that sometimes happens - no big deal. I'll list what went wrong: 1. Our party ordered 3 of their eggs benedict with the crab sauce, we were told they "were out of crab" so they went with traditional benedict. 2. All 3 benedicts came out with hard boiled eggs NOT poached at all. All 3 plates were sent back 3. Took TWENTY MINUTES to bring our new plates. TWENTY. Meanwhile, I am eating my dish (enchiladas which were tasty) but missing the side of bacon I ordered. I informed them when we sent back the other plates (still waiting on bacon) 4. The manager comes out to apologize. Normally this is when people expect, "we will take the dish off your bill" or, "here is a round of drinks on us". SOMETHING to show they are making an effort. I have handled the marketing for dozens of restaurants and that is common protocol when you f*** up. 5. Another 15 minutes, my sister goes and checks on the eggs. "They will be ready soon" 6. Finally, the new plates are brought out exactly as they should be cooked - jeesh, did I mention... the place is empty?? 7. Waiter stops coming to our table, the manager starts to 8. Manager apologizes again, gives us HIS manager's business card in case we'd "like to talk about what happened". And I was going to email the manager INSTEAD of writing this review, however, what happened next changed my mind. 9. The manager apologized again and said "is there anything we can do to make up for it? a dessert? appetizer?" Um.. bro we just ate a lot of food, but thank you for the gesture. My sister said, "I would love another bloody mary".... now, wait for it... INSTEAD of telling us something like "we can't give alcohol away for free" which would have been fine, he gets her the bloody mary and HAS THE BALLS TO CHARGE ME FOR IT!!!!! I am not broke over an $8 bloody mary but holy effing shit, it's the damn principle of it. My family has signed of going to Nada, they used to every weekend - so congrats on losing a guaranteed $100. A mission to find the city's best queso led me to Nada. There are no words to describe the amazingness that is this queso. Just go get it, Ok? I'll admit, we were here after a night of indulging in many adult beverages, so my memory of the place as a whole may be a bit fuzzy. But I'll give you the basics: -Queso: yum. Do it. -Salsa: also very yum. Nice and smoky with some heat. -Chips: cripy and fresh. -Enchiladas: meh, for $13ish, I'll pass and just eat more queso. -Drinks: sweet and pricy. Visited Nada for Restaurant Week and really enjoyed it! They have (July 22-July 25) a $20, 3-course prix fixe menu and it is a slammin' deal. What I ate: 1. A big 'ol Nadarita (not included in the $20 deal) 2. The warmest, crispiest chips around with some spicy salsa 3. A cup of Mexican Mac N Cheese that made me want to cry tears of delicious joy 4. 2 tacos that were stuffed with tender grilled white meat chicken and all the fixings 5. CHURROS I mean, that's a lot of food for $20. Good food. Don't come here and skip the mac and cheese. Seriously. You will be mad if your friend gets it and lets you have only a taste. Came with my husband and a friend for a late lunch after my husband had a good first visit and after reading all the positive reviews. We were not disappointed and this may soon become one of my favorite restaurants. The place wasn't busy for lunch on a Saturday when OSU football was away and the Jackets didn't play until later so we were immediately seated. The hostess was more than willing to accommodate my request for a booth to place my daughter's car seat, and offered a sling but I declined. Service was quick and attentive, taking time to describe the ingredients and offerings. Each of us ordered 2 tacos and loved all the flavors. I had the pastor (perfectly spiced and delicious) and arrachara (my favorite; sirloin cooked perfectly with fresh avocado and spicy salsa), husband and friend had the barbacoa. We split the 3-salsa sampler and had to get another basket of chips, they're so good! I also had the tequila mule which was excellent. Had to wait a little longer than normal (for it being completely dead) to get our bill but we will definitely be back! Updated 5/8/16: We visited again today for lunch on Mother's Day. We have come many times to this location since our first visit last summer and are never disappointed. Our service was fantastic, food was excellent and as always, the staff have been very welcoming and friendly to us, even with having a small child in tow. Upscale, classy authentic Mexican inspired red and teal theme with a twist of modern. Their staff is so friendly and very attentive. My favorite is their salmon tacos and chips with guac. The place is gorgeous! It really reminds me of the Jose Garces restaurant in Philadelphia which I used to go to years ago. Fantastic colors, stellar bathrooms, and upscale Nuevo Mexican dining. We went the weekend after it opened for brunch and they were still working out the kinks. A lot of giving us silverware and plates and then taking them back without them being used. Our server was super nice though and seemed very happy to be working at a trendy place. He was going on and on about the space and how it was built and how we had to check out the bathrooms. It was pretty funny. But we were there for food and we were starving. When the food came out it was super tiny portions for a lot of money. It was good but was it worth it, nah. In a nutshell, it's the kind of place to be seen. Which, sure, I get it, but I've been there done that and frankly, over it. I'd go back for drinks with friends but will make sure to eat elsewhere first. Unless you or the corporate card are paying, in which case I'll take two entrees, an app and a cocktail, please! That should hit the spot. Also, no validated parking. C'mon! For those prices you can give a free hour or something. This is the problem with the arena district in general. Cool new restaurant in the Arena District right next to Nationwide Arena. We only had appetizers and drinks this trip, but experience was a good one. The three items we had were great and the waiter that served us was friendly and attentive. There's a parking garage right next door to Nada so it's easy to park and enjoy. We weren't down there when there was an event going on at Nationwide, but imagine the traffic gets pretty bad if there's a game or concert dumping out. The hype was there, so gave it a shot. The food is really good. Came here for lunch with coworkers. We thought the lunch menu could either be priced better (or amount of food adjusted better. Some of us had the Enchiladas. The lunch portion is 3 Enchiladas for $15. The lunch taco was two tacos for $10. That's one expensive taco! :) No sides with any of that. Rice or beans extra. While lunch was very flavorful, some of us left "not fully satisfied". While we understand the gourmet style, and location, I think for $10 you should be able to do 3 tacos with maybe a side of rice or beans. For $15 either do 4 Enchiladas or add a rice side. read more

My vegetarian tacos, dinner portion being 3, ended up being the same price as my friend's chicken tacos. I'm sorry but that's a huge no for me! They were tasty enough just very small, nowhere near worth the cost. I could have paid $6 total for 3 better ones at Bakersfield. Better to price them individually and let people choose how many to get. My pink grapefruit margarita was delish, but then we got some overpriced churros for dessert which were entirely too sweet. We walked in for a quick dinner before going out in Columbus. The hostess was extremely cold and unwelcoming, and asked if we had a reservation. It was 10 pm, and the restaurant was empty except for about 4 tables. However, all of the open tables hadn't been bussed. Every single one was dirty. We decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was even worse than the hostess. Seemed thoroughly bothered by the fact we had sat down at the bar, which again hadn't been wiped down at all. We sat for probably 10 minutes before our drink orders were finally taken. Another 10 for food to which he took our orders standing at the register looking extremely annoyed like we were inconveniencing him. A group of men walks in at 10:30 and sat at the bar and instantly got service from the second bartender who instantly refilled any requests they had. I got the tacos and that's it, and it took over 20 mins for 3 tacos. When they came to us the shrimp was cold like they had sat out waiting to be picked up for a while. I ordered their house margarita which was 8$. I was expecting a hand made cocktail. Nope, their cocktails are on tap. We were very cordial, said thank you didn't bother them while they were stocking the bar for close. But everyone that came in after us had better service and was greeted and waited on. I don't know what their problem was, but we were ready to spend money there. I'm so glad we didn't, and that I'm not from this town. What horrible service and absolutely mediocre food. read more

Nada was good. It is heavily Americanized Mexican food in a beautiful space with a beautiful patio. Wait staff was on it. Food was good, though portions are somewhat small. My husband and I ate here before going to a Jackets game. The dinner was far and away the highlight of the evening in comparison to the terrible Jackets game, but I suppose that could have been expected. Our waitress was a total sweetheart, so attentive and friendly. The entire staff was very speedy and did an excellent job of getting us out of there with ample time before the game. We started with the Queso Gringo, SO DELICIOUS! And the chips are much better than your standard tortilla chips you find at most Mexican restaurants. The texture and taste is almost like the kettle cooked version of tortilla chips. We split the pastor tacos and the grilled salmon tacos. Both were really good and we appreciated the more creative approach of toppings. Didn't love that we couldn't mix and match tacos, they come three in an order of all the same taco. The quality and creativity were there so it wouldn't stop us from coming back. The atmosphere was really cool and unique, would be a great place for a celebratory dinner with a larger group as they have semi private room options. It definitely spices up your typical dinner atmosphere. When it comes down to it, it seems like taco places are a dime a dozen around here but I'd say service, quality and creativity really made Nada stand out to us. We'll be back! read more
