    Chorizo Tacos
    Les R.

Mar Azul Mexican Grill - loved the vibrant inside and it was spacious restaurant. It had a beach/ocean vibe which wasn't what I t typically think of a Mexican restaurant but think of coast line Mexico, near the ocean feel. I had never heard of this restaurant but found it on YELP and decided to check it out. Big fan of Mexican food and decided to go try it out Easily found parking and was warmly greeted and seated upon arrival. I looked over the extensive menus and asked the server about some options. I am not sure how much English the server spoke and she couldn't really provide feed back or guidance on the food when I mentioned it was my first time here. I ended up ordering three Chorizo tacos with corn tortillas. For sides I ordered mexican rice and cream salad. Side portions were so small and combined on one small side dish. Tacos were super greasy and the chorizo, though plentiful, didnt really have much flavor and were served on flour torillas. The chips and salsa were perfect. Again server was doing her best but the language barrier but delivering a wrong order and not being able to talk about the menu items when I had questions was not good. Should be 2 stars based on that but the service was still good and the food was not terrible, it was just OK. I wasn't too happy with my meal but I do want to give it another chance and try some other menu items.

Great atmosphere! Another great place to order quality drinks and quality Mexican faire. This is my second visit because I wanted to try a dish that has seafood in it and guess I was with last time has a allergy. I ordered the Philly steak tacos which comes in three and I also ordered the Texas dip which includes queso shrimp chicken and steak. A raspberry frozen margarita. All I can say is you're definitely going to get full and have food left over to take home. The waitresses are very nice but I think the English is limited but they were very kind and happy that you were there. Later that evening someone was having a birthday party and they came out with musical instruments and their food and Mexican type song. The place started to really get crowded after 7:00 p.m. and it was very nice laidback and the music was very good to listen to . EliteYaLater!

The chips were well seasoned to start. The lunch specials were available on the weekend and a pick three combo gave a good lineup. The chicken quesadillas was packed with neatly as was the beef burrito. The chimichanga had a crisp fresh texture. The staff was moving quickly to get food out, but a tad slower on wrapping up and taking the bill back. The changes to the interior work for the space. It's clear they had an artistic vision for what they were trying to accomplish.

Met a friend for lunch during our lunch hour and needed some where close between us, so she suggested the new blue mexican place on brice, lol. There may have been upward of 10 other people inside the restaurant, this was around 2pm on a friday. The waitress was very good, checking back constantly and the food was served quickly. The chips and salsa were very good, I believe the chips were homemade. The menu is a bit overwhelming, meaning it's huge. my friend ordered the steak fajitas and I had the shrimp tacos. I would definitely go again.

Totally overrated. Very expensive for the quality of food and service. My plate was honestly the only legit priced and tasting out of all of it. Fiancé said tacos are basic and nothing extravagant. Got double charged for ordering 5 tacos.. cause they sell them in sets of three. Weird. Cool decor and interior. I would not recommend anybody to this place. $30 for a 4 mini margarita flight ? Ridiculous, when a large margarita is the same amount of margarita for $13. They overprice just for the location.

Went back it was much better this time. Had the margarita flight $21.99 for 4 flavors of your choice. I liked Tamerind the best. Then we had the Texas dip, much smaller than the menu picture. We both had the pick two lunch. The ground beef was not as salty as last time. If you want to get your drink on, this is the place to go.

Food was authentic and very good! Service was great, and pricing for what you ordered was fair.

This was our first time here and it won't be our last. It was a busy Friday night and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be seated which wasn't bad at all for a Friday evening. Once we were seated though, it took about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. But, they've only been opened a month our server said and they're still trying to work out some things so it wasn't a big deal as long as the food was good. Now for the food. Their chips and salsa are very good. The salsa is thick unlike most places in town that serve a very thin and runny salsa. Their portions are generous and pretty big. The food tasted great! My wife had the Steak & Cheese Tacos. She said they were really good. I tried one of them and the steak was very good. I had a Pick 3 Combo. I chose a ground beef taco, grilled chicken enchilada and was supposed to have a ground beef burrito but, they ended up giving me 2 chicken enchiladas. Oh well it was still good and a lot of food. I couldn't finish it all. My two sides were rice and guacamole salad. Once I picked the peas out of the rice it was pretty good. (Honestly, I don't know why anyone uses peas in anything) My wife had rice and refried beans. She said the rice was good but, the beans were bland tasting. Overall, the service was good and friendly. The food tasted great and I really enjoyed their chips and salsa. We will be back again and I highly recommend this place.

I say go! I love the portions, the drinks are weak. The food is flavorful. However the table salsa could use some work. Service for the most part is fast when I'm at the bar, servers were a bit slower despite empty restaurant, but no real complaints.

Overall a nice experience. Wife loved her cheese steak quesadilla. My torta was good as well. But be prepared for patience. They are VERY busy so it may take a while to get your order and you might have to remind the servers of little things forgotten.

Enchiladas (beef and chicken), beans, rice

This was our first time at this restaurant and it was for my birthday. I ordered 2 enchiladas (one beef, one chicken). The beef wasn't like anything I've had before. I was expecting ground beef but this was almost like a pate or paste. We also got the margarita "flight to Mexico." We asked if one of them could be substituted for a virgin drink so the child with us could participate too. They said no. I'm not sure why because it would have saved them money not putting alcohol in one of the drinks. The presentation was great- it comes out in an airplane that lights up. No amount of cuteness though could make up for how terrible the 4 flavors of margaritas were. We each took a sip of each but that was it. A waste considering the margarita flight cost $25. Everything seemed a little overpriced for the quality of food. Even an appetizer of bean dip was $10. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Food was cold, service was nice but not enough to charge a mandatory tip charge, rather go eat at a food truck.

We were very intrigued by the rating 4.8 stars (highest in the area) and read some of the reviews…read more We also were initially concerned by the first impression of this place; the place did not look open nor did it have any other customers. But Jafet greeted us with a friendly and polite manner and gave us a lot of information about the Mexican version of the cuisine (surprise!). We were impressed with the Michelada (with mango chamoy and dusting of Tajin) and Mezcalita (Mezcal with pineapple). So good. Step aside, Margarita! (Also not that popular or usual in Mexico) We ordered the Tacos Dorado and the recommended Mexico City Taco ("House Special") that had steak, refried beans, pickled cactus, and fries, wrapped in corn tortillas. We are amazed. Thank you Jafet, we will back for more Friday tacos!

I swear the music playing is a recording of a DJ at a wedding lol. Out come the nachos and they look amazing. He also brings a little stand for my cell phone so I can eat and watch YouTube. Never have I had that offered to me at any restaurant. His hustle, service and smile was appreciated. The nachos were really good. The marinated pork, cheese sauce, fresh chips, chunks of pineapple, sour cream and salsa verde just came together well. Bonus points for the cheese sauce. Not to mention I watched him prepare everything thru the glass counter. He's back there having fun then brings your food out with a smile. Love it. Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.
