After an incredibly long and intense conference hosting a group of North American CEOs, my colleague and I were thrilled to learn that the group had gifted us spa services as a thank-you. Exactly what we needed. We chose the 80-minute deep tissue massage, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was flawless. Spa manager Jessica greeted us warmly and enthusiastically, immediately setting the tone. We were offered champagne, then asked to complete a brief intake form to note our needs and any areas of concern. From there, we were escorted to the women's locker room, changed into plush robes and slippers, and spent a few relaxing minutes in the sauna. Soon after, our massage therapists arrived, Nelly for me and Jenny for my colleague, and guided us to a beautiful, dimly lit treatment room. We settled onto warmed massage tables and were wrapped in the softest, most luxurious sheets. And then... the real magic began. Nelly was absolutely phenomenal. She worked through my sore, overworked muscles with incredible skill for over an hour. Her hands were both strong and intuitive, her movements gentle and graceful as she transitioned from one area to the next. The pressure was deep and effective, paired with an impressive understanding of anatomy and, honestly, my body in particular. I never wanted it to end. It was exactly what I needed to melt away the stress of the previous week. I left completely obsessed with every aspect of this spa and fully plan to return very soon, this time with my boyfriend. Had a really great experience here. It was pretty peaceful at the spa midweek, despite the hotel being busy. If I remember, you have to find the main elevators and go to the 5th floor. Brie gave me a fantastic body scrub treatment, I also had a nice facial, and the person working the front desk and touring me around (Ananda?) was also lovely. I learned about the different spa treatments they have here through ResortPass. I booked 50-minute massages for my friend and me. They called to confirm the appointments with me a few days before. On the day of the visit, we felt rushed. They called us as we were headed to the spa with 5 minutes to spare before our appointments. They asked where we were. When we got there the receptionist greeted us, sat us down, and handed us a menu for add-ons. Again, it felt rushed and they were a little pushy. Then they had us pay for gratuity before the actual treatment, which was understandable. Still, that could've been done after the massages. This all happened within the first few minutes of arrival. I was expecting a relaxing afternoon, but it did not start that way. Then someone took us to the locker room and explained everything to us, but rushed through it all and told us to change quickly. The massage was nice and relaxing though. I am glad we had some time after the massage to relax and sip on Prosecco. We did step outside by the pool and deck area. The view of the Bayfront Park is astonishing. It is nice they offer complimentary valet parking and we had some time to walk around the Bayfront Park after the massage. Bach party quick girls massage between events. This spa is located inside the Intercontinental Hotel on 1 Ocean Drive. Take the elevators in the back behind reception to the spa floor. We had two one hour massages and one facial. The spa facility had a steam room and sauna but no whirlpool or spa. We had the last appointments for the day and the amenities were bare: no combs, lotions, razors, 4 towels left out. My massage was good, very much needed with a glass of champagne. Wow! I very one is extremely nice that you might feel like it's fake but it's not at all. My best friend bought us for my bday 50 min massage which included a glass of champagne for each of us. Everyone greets you with a big smile and sweet. While my best friend and I were sitting there pretty much finished with our included champagne and a nice blonde lady which I thinks she's a Manager (I don't know why but she gave me Manager vibes) came to refill out cups. Also, when I checked in Yelp the spa has an offer for a free champagne so I went back and got my third glass of champagne. The masseuse was amazing her name is Cathy I totally knocked out during my massage. I would prefer an hour massage since it's 50 min they deduct 5 min for the time you take to walk to your room and change, so 45 minutes wasn't enough. You need a 60 minute massage so it can be 55min since they deduct changing time (which makes sense). Another thing I liked is that the pool is on the same floor and right there by the spa lobby. If you want a truly luxurious spa experience, look no further. This place will fit all your needs and do so marvelously. Michael, my masseuse, left my entire body feeling so relaxed, rejuvenated, and brand new. I initially went into the spa feeling extreme pain and soreness around my shoulder and neck area and left feeling completely refreshed, as though I'd never experienced any pain at all. I told him where it hurt me the most and he ensured that I was fully taken care of by implementing a variety of techniques, including hot stones and aromatherapy to complement my Swedish massage. I couldn't have left feeling any happier. Caroline, the spa attendant, also made sure that all of the t's were crossed and i's were dotted. Everything was perfect from entry to exit! Once I located the spa which was on the 4th floor at the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel, it was true heaven from there! We were immediately greeted by very nice lady that was at the front podium who had us sit down and complete paperwork regarding on massages and preferences. We were offered beverages such as champagne and mimosa as we were introduced to our masseuses. My husband and I were able to get massages in the same room and it was beautiful. So nice and tranquil. We were given robes and slippers to put on as we prepare for our 2 hours of pampering. My masseuse Marilyn had hands of gold! She was very very good by pin pointing all of by stress triggers as providing the best massage that I've ever received. My facial was just as stellar as my massage. The products were all sinfully delightful and my skin was smooth as a baby's bottom when she finished. I swear I could have stayed on my massage table for another 3 hours if I didn't have an agenda for the day. After our facials were completed, we were given a detailed assessment. My husband and I were shown many products that were available for purchase to relieve the stresses that our skin constantly endures. There was no pressure with buying anything, just recommendations. Immediately following our massages, we were shown the relaxation room which was just that. All you can hear was running waters and a tranquil scene of running water down a beautiful tiled wall with different warm colors on it. Short stay at Intercontinental and pool was closed for renovations. I decided to spend me time at the Spa. I was greeted cheerfully in a bright and welcoming lobby. Made the appointment for the following day and splurged on an 80 minute essential oils massage with warm stones. The spa areas including sauna, steam room and drenching shower are easily accessible from the changing room. All spa personnel were pleasantly welcoming and the areas well maintained. There is also a tranquil relaxation room to wait but two clients were chatting up a bit so it wasn't too tranquil. Erick greeted me and walked me to the massage room. He was friendly and caring. The massage was wonderful both in technique and aromatherapy. There were 7 oils and each one was massaged with care. Erick took the time to explain each one and it's healing effects as it was applied. It was the most relaxing massage I have had! They will bring you in via an "email promotion" then they will give you and Intro about the facility and the services available to you and then they will tell you about the ELEMIS promotion so that you can buy something. After you finish and you get ready to go home the manager with the heavy "British" accent will give a different price for the ELEMIS products "higher" which is completely different from the what was introduced at the beginning. Sounds like after some sarcasm thrown by the manager when I was paying needs to be converted in proper communication and training towards their employees. Not coming back here. First and last. The massage was great and so was the facial. My friend said the pedicure wasn't worth the price because the seat was uncomfortable. She said the music was tiesto (not good). The relaxation area didn't have enough chairs (4). The steam room was out of order. Also the food at the pool bar needs an update...only unhealthy food available. Menu looks like it was written in the 80s and never retouched. The pool is also kind of ugly and small. I don't know if they always cover 4 hours of valet fee when you have services at the spa, but that was the deal we got with TravelZoo. We went 36 minutes over and had to pay full price. I went in for another massage since I had purchased two CoupTessa deals. I was able to book the same day. Got there about 30 minutes early. The attendant at the front desk said my masseuse was ready for me anytime before my scheduled appointment time, which was ready a nice gesture. I asked for some red wine and it was immediately brought to me. I waited in the relaxation room until I was asked to go to my therapy room. She came five minutes ahead of my scheduled time. She asked me if I had any injuries she should know about and if there were any questions I wanted to ask her before my treatment started. Very attentive. Massage was good. Didn't get the name of the masseuse, but she was good. I prefer Liz though. She has the most amazing hands and applies the perfect amount of pressure I like. Check out process was a breeze. My credit card was on file so I just told them how much tip to add to the card and it was done. I was in and out with no wait time. Very different experience from my last one. In regards to the last review I left, Catherine Keeble, the spa director, got a hold of me and apologized for my experience. She asked that I come back and assured I would receive a totally different experience. I can't wait to go back because overall, I'm very happy with MySpa. Let me start off by saying that this spa would have gotten a 4 star rating had it not been for the essential elements of a "spa" that were missing. The steam room was not working and when my self and several (5)other ladies wanting to use the steam told the spa assistant she told us to tell the front desk. Then the front desk told us that the steam should be coming on in 10 to 15 minutes. Needless to say, it never came on. I went on Saturday to enjoy the pool and poolside services, as well the steam room and sauna. The pool was perfect!!! There were enough towels and they kept them fully stocked to you never had to ask for one. I was able to enjoy the dry heat sauna, which was lovely. And they have this shower called the Drench. It is like taking a shower in a natural water fall. I loved it. I will be back again, hopefully they will have fixed the steam by then. read more

Went here for Spa Week, $50 for a 95 minute mani/pedi. I thought, "Wow that sounds awesome!". It wasn't. The Intercontinental lobby is beautiful, the spa was pretty. My mani/pedi was OK, and it only lasted an hour, not the 95 minutes I was supposed to get. It's valet parking only there, and you'd think that when we checked out, the spa's front desk girl could have told us that if we validated our ticket, parking would be free. Nope, we got all the way outside to pick up the car, and the valet gentleman told us that, so we marched all the way back up to the spa in order to save the $9. Wouldn't come back, not even for SpaWeek or SpaMonth. read more

MySpa is a good looking spa but has flaws. For the service rendered and prices paid you would think the experience would be breath taking. You would think as a first timer, the staff would go far and beyond so that your experience would be memorable, wonderful, engraved in your memory so that when it comes to recommending...one doesn't hesitate. Well neither happened for me. You'll ask for management and you'll left on hold. MySpa is like a nice looking car, it has all the nice lights and buttons but it runs poorly. MySpanice looking spot. It was clean but they waste too much plastic cups and I didn't see recycle bins. Imo I give my first experience one star, perhaps on a different day or time a potential second experience would be different but as they say, first impressions do matter. My Spa Day at MySpa: I took advantage of a Miami Spa Week offer and booked a massage and facial. I had been here for their opening and remembered how beautiful it was then. The spa is still clean, pristine, and calming with soft music and fountains. 5 stars is not enough to describe my wonderful experience with Edwitch. I started off in the relaxation room to wait for my masseuse. Then Edwitch came in and introduced herself. She first had me describe what I like in both massages and facials. Then the massage began with the perfect amount of pressure. I instantly began to relax. She focused on the areas I requested. I was very close to blissfully dozing. The transition to facial was seamless! I was able to remain in my relaxed state while she set up everything for the facial. She applied cleansing masks, steams, and creams as well as extractions and SPF application. All the while inquiring if the music, temperature, etc was to my liking. Also did I mention that the rooms are cool and the beds are comfortably heated? In addition all of the spa amenities are available for use including sauna, steam, gym, and pool. What could have been improved was the supplies in the locker room. There wasn't much of anything (my gym has much more: face lotion, body lotion, deodorant, q tips, etc): Here there was only 1 bottle of body lotion which was LOCKED DOWN onto the counter top. I nearly hit another spa client with my boob while reaching for body lotion as she was seated in a chair blowdrying her hair right near the lotion bottle that could not be moved) Valet parking is free for 4 hours with validation. read more

I loved my afternoon at MySpa! I went alone for a relaxing afternoon, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Upon entering, I was greeted by Lisa, Daniela, and Corey, who were very friendly and helpful and gave me a brief orientation of all they have to offer. The lobby space and locker room are extremely clean, relaxing, the scents they have are pleasant but not overwhelming, and the same goes for the music. The views of Biscayne Bay are lovely and you can wander the garden area, sit and have a glass of champagne (the bar staff is also very friendly), and just chill out by the pool. Pro tip: get there early to catch the sun, since the downtown skyscrapers provide free sunscreen. I tried a few areas of the spa. The sauna is nice but my favorite part is the steam room. So I went back to the same girl (stylist) a couple weeks ago and decided to cut my bangs and blow dry. I explained to her what I wanted. and she immediately started to cut. I freaked out because she cut my bangs so short! I immediately told her what are you doing? That is too short she was like Oh I'm sorry I should've asked you how short you wanted them first. Let's just say this was the worst hair cut experience I have ever had. I've never been to a stylist that would just start cutting without asking. It was too late the damage had been done already. I will upload a picture and I will say the picture is already a month old. As I cut my bangs on Cinco de Mayo. I started to cry of how embarrassed i was because my bangs looked horrible. The worst part is the price of the cut includes the tip which I feel should not have been included for this horrible service. Yes the girl is fast for drying hair but she is too worried about getting things done then giving a quality experience. I was rushed to go back to work so I didn't even complain to the manager. I just had to put my big girl panties on, wipe the tears away and clip my bangs to the side. luckily she hadn't touched the other side and was able to cut that but honestly the picture will explain its self I have uneven bangs and I've got at least another month before one side grows to the point where I can cut them again to get the style I really wanted. read more

I finally decided to pamper myself and I'm glad I decided to go with MySpa at the Intercontinental Hotel. All of the staff including Alejandra in the day time, Kevin in the early evening, and the manager Candice are always so nice to me and my guests to ensure we have everything we need at a moments notice. The pool is amazing (heated) and I can go in there 12 months out of the year. The relaxation room is what hooked me and I've taken many breaks from work to take a much needed half day nap. This spa is a piece of shit. They have idiots like Caroline running the place. She thinks she knows more than the clients. Spa looks great on the outside then you'll realize you're getting massaged with cold hands in a cold room and it completely takes away from being relaxed. The prices are crazy but not worth it. All the MIAMI spas are pretty much priced the same but I've had way more rewarding experiences at the spa inside the JW Marriot Marquis and also inside of the Epic, you can find Exhale Spa which is usually my first choice. The $15 gets you unlimited day access to the steam, sauna, and rain shower room :) after all that relaxation you have access to the rain showers, you'll never want to take a shower in your room ever again! my favorite room was the steam room, i can stay in there forever and enjoy the humidity and heat. i loved the cold towels (i believe they were lemongrass scented?), make sure you take one into the steam/sauna rooms so that you can drop your temp a little. other than that, clean facility (showers, lockers, restrooms). great amenities, enough for you to get completely ready before stepping out of the spa. read more

I am just received a Mani-pedi at MySpa in the Intercontinental Hotel Miami. There was NOTHING special about the pedicure. First, my Pedicurist didn't speak English, and I don't speak Spanish and was constantly sniffling. Secondly, one of the two jets of the foot tub worked only half the time. Third, you don't get a comfortable massage chair, you sit on a stained white pleather bench with a random faux fur blanket folded underneath of you. Also, the color selection is MINIMAL to put it kindly. Pastel/light pink is the trending nail color, and they didn't have it. There was nothing "spa-like" about this experience. I received it as a gift for a 50 minutes massage and a 30 minute facial. I can honestly say the massage felt like it lasted about 30 minutes. Kevin at MySpa has restored my faith in humanity. Tonight, after getting the MOST amazing raindrop massage from Rita (she put me to sleep, actually...it was amazing), I got dressed and walked out to go back to work in the building adjacent to the Intercontinental. Two hours later, as I was sitting at my desk, I realized I'd forgotten all of my jewelry and watch on the bench in the ladies locker room (all told, valued at about $1,500). I rushed back, and as it turns out, Kevin, the concierge at MySpa, had found it and turned it all into security at the Intercontinental. The watch has great sentimental value for me, and I would have been devastated to lose it. A few days ago I had the pleasure to treat myself at this spa and without a doubt I have no reason to complain. As soon as I walked I was welcome warmly by a young lady named Katiuska goes by Kat as she had told me. As she walked me to the back she cared to ask How my day was going made me laugh and he silly remarks I told her I was having a stressful day and so she gave me a warm hug and said she you'll get treated as royalty here. And so I did! The staff was amazing the locker room were spectacular. At the end of the day I did have trouble with my locker but kat took time out of her busy schedule to help me out 3 TIMES!! and never gave me a sign of bothered.
