Bach party quick girls massage between events. This spa is located inside the Intercontinental Hotel on 1 Ocean Drive. Take the elevators in the back behind reception to the spa floor. We had two one hour massages and one facial. The spa facility had a steam room and sauna but no whirlpool or spa. We had the last appointments for the day and the amenities were bare: no combs, lotions, razors, 4 towels left out. My massage was good, very much needed with a glass of champagne. There's a special on Groupon but I called beforehand and they honored the price. Caroline was super nice in booking our appointment.

Wow! I very one is extremely nice that you might feel like it's fake but it's not at all. My best friend bought us for my bday 50 min massage which included a glass of champagne for each of us. Everyone greets you with a big smile and sweet. While my best friend and I were sitting there pretty much finished with our included champagne and a nice blonde lady which I thinks she's a Manager (I don't know why but she gave me Manager vibes) came to refill out cups. Also, when I checked in Yelp the spa has an offer for a free champagne so I went back and got my third glass of champagne. The masseuse was amazing her name is Cathy I totally knocked out during my massage. I would prefer an hour massage since it's 50 min they deduct 5 min for the time you take to walk to your room and change, so 45 minutes wasn't enough. You need a 60 minute massage so it can be 55min since they deduct changing time (which makes sense). Another thing I liked is that the pool is on the same floor and right there by the spa lobby. It was a beautiful view. Overall I was impressed with the spa and will be going back soon.

Ms. Marilyn and Cindy have hands of Heaven, personalities personalities of Angels. Oh what an experience! This spot was definitely a 10 Star business located inside of a 5 Star hotel! Everything was perfect from entry to exit! Once I located the spa which was on the 4th floor at the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel, it was true heaven from there! We were immediately greeted by very nice lady that was at the front podium who had us sit down and complete paperwork regarding on massages and preferences. We were offered beverages such as champagne and mimosa as we were introduced to our masseuses. My husband and I were able to get massages in the same room and it was beautiful. So nice and tranquil. We were given robes and slippers to put on as we prepare for our 2 hours of pampering. My masseuse Marilyn had hands of gold! She was very very good by pin pointing all of by stress triggers as providing the best massage that I've ever received. My facial was just as stellar as my massage. The products were all sinfully delightful and my skin was smooth as a baby's bottom when she finished. I swear I could have stayed on my massage table for another 3 hours if I didn't have an agenda for the day. After our facials were completed, we were given a detailed assessment. My husband and I were shown many products that were available for purchase to relieve the stresses that our skin constantly endures. There was no pressure with buying anything, just recommendations. Immediately following our massages, we were shown the relaxation room which was just that. All you can hear was running waters and a tranquil scene of running water down a beautiful tiled wall with different warm colors on it. I highly highly recommend this spa to anyone in search of a fantastic masseuse, beautifully decorated clean space, professional service and a relaxing time.

Luv this spa, all the people here are so professional & pleasant

The spa itself is elegantly designed, combining modern luxury with elements of Eastern tranquility. The use of high-quality oils and the attention to detail in each movement was exceptional. The facilities are top-notch, with a gorgeous relaxation area, steam rooms, and a beautiful pool overlooking Biscayne Bay, adding to the sense of escape. The staff was warm and professional, making sure my experience was seamless from start to finish. Overall, the Mandarin Oriental Spa is a perfect oasis of calm in the heart of Miami. It's the ideal place to unwind and rejuvenate whether you're a local or just visiting the city. The pool was a little small but the view is beautiful.

So many different water options, lights, and even music if you wanted. We grabbed lunch by the pool afterwards. Overall it made for a really lovely day. They will validate your valet so I think it ends up costing around $14 instead of the standard rate.

Lyly, was the young lady who confirmed my appointment and she was also the same personnel at the front desk upon my arrival. She was extremely warm and welcoming. She then led me to Brianna, who worked the spa area and she was incredible! These two girls were a 20/10 with the exceptional service and hospitality in which they provided. If you were traveling for work and staying at this hotel, and needed a day to just forget that everyone existed, this would be great for that. My friends and I flew down from Richmond during a crazy winter storm and decided to get a day pass here among other things. The day pass included spa access during their open hours, as well as pool access. Unfortunately, because of the unseasonably cool weather, the hotel had not opened the pool which pretty much made the spa the only option for anyone else who had purchased the resort pass too, and I'm just not sure the facilities were up to that task. The spa itself had a relaxation area, which was three lounge chairs in the room with a hot tub and a cold tub. In the room next to that, there was a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a shower. I'm not a huge fan of the dry sauna, dry heat isn't really my thing, but I did rather like the wet sauna room. It was nice and large, and the hot steamy air felt great on my poor frozen winter storm lungs. The cold plunge pool is also not my thing, but the hot tub was awesome, but it had a couple of pretty huge problems. The first was that it was up a flight of stairs. Everyone in our party has limited mobility in some fashion and One of our party uses a walker and isn't super mobile at all, so it was very difficult to actually make it to the hot tub. Might have been nice to know it wasn't actually accessible before we booked the spa. Luckily, even though she isn't super mobile, she is able to haul herself very slowly up stairs, provided it has a nice sturdy railing... Which it did have a railing... unfortunately the railing was completely loose at the bottom and not particularly sturdy since it was only partially connected. It had stone steps, and due to the nature of the room, they were a bit wet so they had nonskid stickers on them, but it had unfortunately peeled up and was mostly loose. Ultimately, our friend ended up using us as the steady banister to get up the stairs, but that probably wasn't any safer since it wasn't like we had anything to hold onto because again... slippery stairs and loose banister. We made it up safely, and then try to get in the hot tub. The tub itself is square, has a ladder railing, but we couldn't actually see any ladder steps, so we kind of had to guess where was safe to get in the pool. Being the most mobile of the group, I ended up sitting on the edge of the tub and feeling around with my feet until I figured out that the tub has three walls with stone benches around it that we could step on and get in. We only actually figured out after getting out that the pool had sunken footholds in the wall, not an actual ladder. Never would have found those getting in, but learn from our ignorance. The hot tub is awesome, the jets were great and absolutely the thing we needed after the plane flight and freezing winter storms, but everyone else felt that way too, so we were unable to get back in it again like we would have liked. We ended up heading out earlier than we intended and just sitting outside for the rest of our stay. Overall, the place is small, which makes it hit or miss as to whether or not you can use the facilities, which makes it hit or miss as to whether it is a good value for the day pass. You may luck out, or you may strike out.

They also have a Tea Ceremony at 2pm which adds to the luxury vibe. The relaxation Lounge offers a couple of complimentary nibbles (e.g. mixed nuts with dried fruit), cold water, and hot tea. Food is not allowed in the spa but there's a few options in the beautiful Eden Roc hotel, from full on restaurant, to small plates at the bar lounge or Cafe Ines for a happy medium. A word to the wise: the spa is under renovation so sometimes some of the amenities are not working (hot tub, sauna, etc). If you don't want to be disappointed make sure you call ahead and ask. I'm looking forward to see how everything looks when it's finished because the new steam room is lovely.

The other highlight was our massage experience, Eddy, my technician was extremely professional and talented, the best massage I have ever had, so thank you, Eddy! Lastly, the person who scheduled our services over email, Karla Gutierrez, who was very professional and capable. What did not work: Upon checking in, the lady at the counter (in the spa) was unable to provide a breakdown of charges and had a hard time establishing eye contact. Maybe assumptions were made, which is the only explanation I could come up with based on her behavior. Ultimately I gave up and asked for a receipt. My questions were simple, I paid in advance (a deposit) how is it applied? Do they take off the difference? Or do they reimburse and charge again? She was unable to answer. I have her name in my receipt, but I chose to omit it as anyone can have a bad day. My guest and I proceeded to compare facilities with other well known spas: Lapis at the Fontainebleau and Tierra Santa at Faena- which charge similar rates. Let me tell you, the Standard is very subpar in 1) hospitality and 2) Vibe and decor. The standard's decor is art deco and while I understand the look, the place just seemed old. There is only one station for hair drying/makeup in the locker room, the water in my shower was cold, although my guest's was fine. The Hammam stone was use for towel storage as you will see in picture. No guest is shown in the image and I decided to take the picture because I could not believe it and for this review. There was constant walking in and out of the Hammam (by the staff) to replenish, you guessed it, towels, which made the experience far from relaxing. For the price I was expecting much more. We ended up leaving early without using all the services, but we did walk to the sauna, which seemed nice, but it was super full, and the ice room, which was underwhelming. We will not return, hopefully they can give this place a make over and the staff some training.
