I have no other words to say than: this is the most upscale, elegant, modern and chic spa I have ever been to! Time and time again, I have been revisiting as the services are divine. From their hospitality, attentiveness, attention to detail for the overall experience, and the service itself is executed so well. The rooms have modern electric massage tables, the music selection is soothing, and the service providers are so serene and professional. You don't even hear their shoes when they are walking inside of the room!

The best spa experience I've ever had so far in life was at the Away Spa. Truly incredible. 10/10 recommend. It's a beautiful, calming space and you instantly feel relaxed once you arrive. The staff were also so lovely and really just enhanced the overall experience: David greeted us at the front desk and then Gigi was our hostess before and after our treatments and took such great care of us, and my masseuse was Danielle who literally put me to sleep with the best massage I've ever received. Can't wait to come back!

All the amenities and sparkling clean!

Scored a last minute appointment from the plane on my way to Miami! Massage by Maurice and facial by Tatiana...both were super professional, skilled in the craft, Knowledgeable, and friendly. Ms. Marie & David greeted me and guided me to/from each station. The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding!

If you were traveling for work and staying at this hotel, and needed a day to just forget that everyone existed, this would be great for that. My friends and I flew down from Richmond during a crazy winter storm and decided to get a day pass here among other things. The day pass included spa access during their open hours, as well as pool access. Unfortunately, because of the unseasonably cool weather, the hotel had not opened the pool which pretty much made the spa the only option for anyone else who had purchased the resort pass too, and I'm just not sure the facilities were up to that task. The spa itself had a relaxation area, which was three lounge chairs in the room with a hot tub and a cold tub. In the room next to that, there was a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a shower. I'm not a huge fan of the dry sauna, dry heat isn't really my thing, but I did rather like the wet sauna room. It was nice and large, and the hot steamy air felt great on my poor frozen winter storm lungs. The cold plunge pool is also not my thing, but the hot tub was awesome, but it had a couple of pretty huge problems. The first was that it was up a flight of stairs. Everyone in our party has limited mobility in some fashion and One of our party uses a walker and isn't super mobile at all, so it was very difficult to actually make it to the hot tub. Might have been nice to know it wasn't actually accessible before we booked the spa. Luckily, even though she isn't super mobile, she is able to haul herself very slowly up stairs, provided it has a nice sturdy railing... Which it did have a railing... unfortunately the railing was completely loose at the bottom and not particularly sturdy since it was only partially connected. It had stone steps, and due to the nature of the room, they were a bit wet so they had nonskid stickers on them, but it had unfortunately peeled up and was mostly loose. Ultimately, our friend ended up using us as the steady banister to get up the stairs, but that probably wasn't any safer since it wasn't like we had anything to hold onto because again... slippery stairs and loose banister. We made it up safely, and then try to get in the hot tub. The tub itself is square, has a ladder railing, but we couldn't actually see any ladder steps, so we kind of had to guess where was safe to get in the pool. Being the most mobile of the group, I ended up sitting on the edge of the tub and feeling around with my feet until I figured out that the tub has three walls with stone benches around it that we could step on and get in. We only actually figured out after getting out that the pool had sunken footholds in the wall, not an actual ladder. Never would have found those getting in, but learn from our ignorance. The hot tub is awesome, the jets were great and absolutely the thing we needed after the plane flight and freezing winter storms, but everyone else felt that way too, so we were unable to get back in it again like we would have liked. We ended up heading out earlier than we intended and just sitting outside for the rest of our stay. Overall, the place is small, which makes it hit or miss as to whether or not you can use the facilities, which makes it hit or miss as to whether it is a good value for the day pass. You may luck out, or you may strike out.

I've been…read morehere a few times, either for the sole purpose of using the spa and hotel amenities and other times to get massages (Tanya is AMAZING). They also have a Tea Ceremony at 2pm which adds to the luxury vibe. The relaxation Lounge offers a couple of complimentary nibbles (e.g. mixed nuts with dried fruit), cold water, and hot tea. Food is not allowed in the spa but there's a few options in the beautiful Eden Roc hotel, from full on restaurant, to small plates at the bar lounge or Cafe Ines for a happy medium. A word to the wise: the spa is under renovation so sometimes some of the amenities are not working (hot tub, sauna, etc). If you don't want to be disappointed make sure you call ahead and ask. I'm looking forward to see how everything looks when it's finished because the new steam room is lovely.

If you go over 4 hours then you get charged the full fee $35 to valet. To get to the SPA you have to walk across the lobby and outside and across to the SPA check-in area. The changing area and sauna and one person steam room shower is located here. Then to get to the treatment area you have to walk back across the outside area and the front lobby through the area with guests and all their luggage to the elevator in your robe. This is not a great experience and you must repeat this step after your treatment. The relaxing area is nice and I was excited to find my favorite tea. They only had one China tea cup and the only other option was paper cups for the 5 people in that area. I got the tea cup for myself. I poured the water and the tea pot has cold water in it. I had to start over. The tea kettle was the cheapest Breville tea kettle with not temperature settings. The water got boiling hot but the tea is herbal, green mint or chamomile which doesn't get boiling water. Anyway it was too hot for the tea. My massage therapist was a bit late as they are the ones cleaning the area on the first floor but he apologized and said I still got my full massage time. I didn't mind that. The parking lot next door is under major construction and despite it being Sunday the noise was not massage friendly and I guess the massage rooms had no soundproofing. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are heated. After the massage they rushed us out of the lounging area. We went back down to checkout and get changed and ready for brunch. See the restaurant for the brunch experience.

There is a minimum spend requirement for the cabana, but it was super easy to hit between food and drinks. The food was very good as well. We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast as part of our hot tub booking, which was a nice bonus and a great way to start the day. One of the highlights of the hotel is the easy beach access from the back. You can simply walk out and reach the beach, and the area feels safe and lively. You'll often see people jogging, exercising, and enjoying the outdoors, which adds to the energetic South Beach vibe. The walk around the area is pleasant, and the overall atmosphere feels fun and relaxed. Overall, the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel is a wonderful place with great service, good food, and a cool beachside vibe. I would definitely recommend it for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The massage area is designed beautifully with a "chic shipwreck" kind of feel with the wave breaking background noise, soft light, and decor. Maybe changing up the music every once in a while would be welcome but I think this is their brand. I will say the main reason I stopped my membership was the cost. To add deep tissue and other enhancements is $20 each on top of tip and the membership price. it was a worthwhile investment for my body for some months, but the pricing was too indulgent for my capacity.
