Magic Waters thank you that for offering a place that we can go to. It is not expensive. The Room is clean that we used and the water was perfect. So if you need time to just get away and relax and spend some time with your significant other or even by yourself, Magic Waters is the place. We have been coming for several years now. The spa is located in an office building that honestly looks like it could be a CIA front, but once you step inside Magic Waters, you're transported out of Miami and into a completely relaxing environment. The room was spotless, and the water temperature was exactly as we requested during our booking. The added bonus of having Wi-Fi meant we could play our own music, creating the perfect atmosphere. The moment you walk into the 'reception' there was an odor of 'wet-dogs'. The carpets were grimy and in serious need of some TLC. The furniture had dust caked up around the border of everything sitting on it. The room that I had was filthy, I noticed after I used it. Once I placed the white towel on the floor and stepped onto it with my bare feet and saw the tracks of dirt from my feet. The sheets appeared as if they hadn't been cleaned for several uses. It's mind boggling to me how they stress one can't use soaps/salts in the hot tubs and don't prioritize cleanliness of the whole establishment. It's utterly disgusting...please heed my warning. Unless you're the time of person who likes the whole 'Hotel California' vibe, plus 'wet dog' aroma. If the owner doesn't match his hospitality with an urgency to being and staying committed to cleanliness, my recommendation will be a HARD PASS - DO NOT GO! There is potential!! but it needs A LOT of elbow grease to be something worth experiencing. Because as of right now - the experience is relative to a nightmare! Side-note: I won't lie about the experience just to get a 'special' on my next visit. If I wanted to go somewhere new, I'd want someone to tell me the truth no matter how bad or ugly it may be. No I did not decline to pay for any additional fee he asked me to, as he said in the one bad review he has on Google. The owner seemed very hospitable but unfortunately this place is stuck in the 60's, not that that's an issue - If you keep the place CLEAN. There was a very strong odor when I got there and decided maybe it was just in the lobby so I gave it a try.. like I mentioned previously, not CLEAN at all. This is a hidden gem in Kendall. Surprised my husband with an intimate setting for his birthday. As soon as we walked in, the environment was elegant with light floral scents, sophisticated music, and warm lighting (lamps as well as candles). Izzy, such an accommodating host will take you to your spa room. Ours had a big jacuzzi in the middle, vintage mirrors on the walls, candles, low lighting, blue tooth speaker, shower, ice bucket for wine and a sauna! My husband and I spent 2 hours of pure bliss and relaxation. So happy we found this place now we have somewhere to go whenever we need to take a moment for ourselves. I try to go at least once a month and it helps with my every day movements highly recommend the therapy - not a hotel room so don't expect all of those amenities- it's just go and utilize the hot tub at the right temperature and it's a great water therapy session as the words in the name -magic waters. Heard about this place from a friend who's been going here for years. Decided to check it out since my lover & I could use some relaxation. Did not disappoint. I called earlier that day to reserve the deck room & when asked for the desired temperature the owner advised me that hot might be too hot, so I asked for medium which was perfect. Upon entering the room there's a changing room, which contained a blow dryer & a small bed in the main room. Nothing fancy but comfortable enough for when the hot tub got too hot. The hot tub was big enough for the both of us & enough room to move around in. Mirrors were located in the back of the room so you can watch yourself. Great place for you and your significant other to relax and melt away the stresses of your work week and maybe rekindle that spark. Several small rooms for two, and one larger "executive" room with dry sauna. Call ahead by at least an hour or two for rates and to reserve a room. Establishment is classy and not seedy and questionable. Owner is very discrete and accommodating. Magic Waters is LGBT friendly. In 3 years of visiting occasionally, my husband and I have always been treated with respect and never any differently than any of the other clientele. Rooms are available for a minimum 1 hour, then in 30 minute increments beyond that. Rates are reasonable, but be sure to request a courtesy call when you have 10 minutes left. It is easy to lose track of time, and you will be responsible for overage charges if you overstay your time allotment. Soaps, shampoos and oils are prohibited which is beneficial to those of us with skin allergies. Each room is equipped with a lounging bed, chair, and towels. All rooms have either a radio or Bluetooth speakers. Be sure to request whichever you prefer, but be prepared to bring your own Bluetooth speaker if that's what you prefer as the Bluetooth speaker option is new not all rooms have one yet. There is a separate changing room with mirror, hair dryer, and hooks for hanging up your clothing. Rooms are clean and well cared for. There is a soda machine in the hallway with ice cold soda, iced tea and water. We usually bring bottled water with us. You can request the tub either hot or medium temperature. I personally find that hot is too hot and medium is just right. The suite is nestled toward the back of an office building with ample parking. There is no signage at the street indicating that there is a spa. When you turn into the parking lot you'll need to turn left and go to the east end of the office complex then turn right and go to the south end. You'll see the suite to your right. We often go for a nice relaxing soak followed by a leisurely late dinner to make a nice start to the weekend. I highly recommend Magic Waters as part of a nice relaxing evening with your companion. read more
