My husband and I read several terrific reviews about this place, and we were looking for somewhere to relax, de-stress, have a fantastic time. I couldn't believe the four strawberries with recesses peanut butter cups and the ONE used robe that was in our massage room for us. Throughout the entire massage, the ladies kept blasting the "relaxing" music because all we can hear was a blasted TV and a bunch of guys laughing from next door. Stay away from this scam, bought the groupon for a couples massage for $170, no where on the voucher does it mention that they want an extra $50 just to make the appointment. Both ladies I talked to on the phone were extremely rude and pretentious. Working with Groupon to get a full refund now. These bait and switch places need to go! *edit please see attached picture that nowhere does it say a $50 or any service charge will be added before making an appointment. Both times I called their staff did not say this was towards a gratuity, they said it was $50 extra to make the appointment and use the groupon. This is either from improper training or their lack of wanting groupon clients. If it said a $10-$30 service charge per person needed to book appointment on the groupon I probably would of booked elsewhere. Just had a couples Massage and facial done for my anniversary but to be completely honest although the therapist were super nice and friendly, the message and facial were terrible. I can still feel my face burning from the microdermabrasion, not sure if she knew exactly what she was doing but The microdermabrasion procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin, I think she completely missed the word GENTLY in the process. It was super painful. Now about the massage, to start off it was like a lotion party in there. They used so much lotion we left the place super sticky and shinny. It honestly didn't feel like a massage just someone rubbing lotion all over your body. If I wanted someone to rub lotion on my body I would of definitely had my boyfriend do this at home. The price wasn't bad we payed $275 which is why I decided to book in the first place. Saw a 60 min couples massage on groupon and when I called to ask about availability I was told to just pay directly and I would get the same deal (unsure about the reason behind that) so I did. Not only did I receive an email confirmation about my appointment and service but a text msg too. We arrived early for our appointment (small lot so bring quarters for the meter parking just in case), filled out the paperwork, and waited until the room was ready. They had cookies, watermelon, water and tea in the cute little lobby. Loved the massage room, relaxing music and lighting. They had (what I could taste) sparkling moscato, and strawberries to dunk in chocalate, which were delicious! Finally the massages we're done by two ladies, one older than the other. My BF enjoyed his massage which was done by the younger one, mine was ok. Although I let her know I liked hard pressure at the beginning when she asked, it was more light and medium-ish. Not so bad considering that most Chinese Massage Parlors range anywhere from $60-70 per person, the package includes a 1 hours full body massage, fruity champagne tasty STRAWBERRIES and chocolate. The ambiance was nice and very relaxing, the two ladies were very kind and welcoming. Personally, I think my massage was great, she focused on every area in my body. However, my man is tall with a thick frame, and he thought the masseuse was a little too short and incapable of reaching his back side, he believes she didn't have the proper strength to give him a hard knead on his back. The receptionist that answered the phone told me that I needed to pay a $35 PER PERSON fee to schedule. So I asked... where on the Groupon does it say that ? I always read very carefully so I don't get ripped off later on all the specifications and restrictions/rules. She says "it doesn't, but it says it on our website " I didn't know I have to start checking locations websites now before purchasing Groupon's. So it took me a minute to think I paid $150 for my Groupon plus $35 per person (couples massage so x2) is a total of $220 for a MASSAGE ??? Not even at the Trump Spa. Ridiculous!! Got my money back from Groupon and found another location offering the same service for $90 and no hidden fees. Winning!!! read more

I received a Groupon for a couples massage for my birthday to Young Forever Esthetic Center. I contacted them at the end of July and booked my massage for early September. I believe they had some spots available at the end August, but I had scheduling conflicts. Upon booking my massage, I was informed that I needed to pay the taxes for the massage upfront when I made the appointment - $14.00. This left me with the impression that they overcharge or charge any way they can in order to recoup some lost money from patrons who use Groupons. We confirmed our appointment the day before and anxiously looked forward to a little relaxation. We arrived 15 minutes early as suggested, filled out a standard form and were led to one of the massage rooms. Unfortunately, the room faced Sunset Drive and you could hear every car and truck that passed by. The first thing I noticed was how extremely cold it was in the room. Our masseuses came in and greeted us; Josefa and Maria. Both were extremely friendly but one major downside, neither spoke English. The massages were plain massages, nothing out of this world. And like other Yelpers, I found that the form I filled out that indicated areas of preferences meant nothing to the masseuses. During the massage, both masseuses used the "chop" technique for massaging and seemed to bend our arms and legs in weird directions, which was awkward. The frigid air, loud traffic, and chopping on my back killed any possibility of relaxing. What was the oddest part to me was toward the end of the hour massage, loud music began blaring from the waiting area of the establishment. I don't know if the person didn't realize that there were patrons in the room, but it definitely was too loud for any establishment, let alone one that prides itself on helping people unwind. Unfortunately, we both left there not feeling peaceful or relaxed. In comparison to the 100+ massages I've had in my life, this fell very short. This is in a prime Sunset/South Miami area so if they can work out their kinks, they could be very successful. I would definitely not pay full price for what I experienced. read more
