My husband and I were desperate for a deep tissue massage after having a ton of tension in our backs and shoulders from work stress. I saw that Elements offered an $80 introductory massage so I scheduled a couples massage with him. The place itself is very clean and the front desk lady was warm and welcoming. One thing I liked is that she never once pressured me to get a membership or insist it was the best offer. I really love places that don't insist on my business because it lets me feel free to choose their business instead of being forced into it. We were called into our massage by two very slender men and the only thing I could think of was "how will they be able to get the deep tension out of my shoulders"...boy was I WRONG. My massage therapist asked if I could handle the kind of massage he felt I needed and I agreed I could. I then got the most painful, but alleviating massage I've ever had in my life. It was not a relaxing massage at all but it was one I definitely needed. It was the kind of massage I would've probably gotten from a chiropractor. Although painful, my massage alleviated built up tension and pain from months and maybe even years of having a stressful, hands on job. I felt bruised from the massage for a couple days but once the feeling went away I felt like as a feather. All the tension I had went away and I didn't feel the tightness I had felt prior to the massage. My technician apologized and explained that she was told to use this chair. They had me GET UP AND MOVE IN THE MIDDLE OF SERVICE WHEN I CANT OPEN MY EYES! Guess where they MADE me move to. The bed next to my sister that they told me they couldn't accommodate. By then it useless to me. I worked at Nordstrom for over 15 years. I wrote the service letters going out of my way to accommodate or apologize and try to correct any complaints. I wrote and no one bothered to offer an apology. Very unprofessional. My husband and I came for a couples massage and honestly we both are very disappointed. We got there ahead of time to fill out paperwork as requested from the receptionist so that they can start a massage exactly on the hour and of course the paper ask you what areas do you wanna work on so that the therapist can know etc. as we enter the therapist go over the paperwork with us and we both explain our problem areas that we want extra work on. To start off they did not complete the hour. They brought us in late even though we were there 15 minutes earlier and actually started working on us about 10 minutes into the hour and we left five minutes early. During the entire massages, my husband's therapist kept fighting with her chair and accidentally banging it against the walls and grunting of frustration which i find unsettling when we are just trying ti relax, my therapist didn't even give me a foot massage and I specified one of my problem areas where one of my ankles and foot, my husband told his therapist that his shoulder was hurting and wanted extra time in said issue, and she worked on his legs more than his back and shoulders. So everything we communicated went out the window. After our "hour" was up we went to check out and the receptionist tried to double charge us without knowing or realizing the previous receptionist already charged us with our gift cards which i explained to her (lack of communication on their end) but then she said they only had one of the three gift cards i handed them. To end my relaxing time she had me stress to prove and pay a balance and thankfully she called the previous receptionist who explained everything to her. In all honesty we had such a distasteful experience that we were both looking forward to as parents of two and I'm quite sad about it because we used our gift cards that we've been holding onto for such a long time for a special experience, and to use them on this experience which is not worth it at all. not to mention being charged the hour and only getting a 45 minute massage. read more

Long over due review and an unforgettable experience. I don't recommend gift cards (GC) from this place; or the place. Mainly because they are lacking customer service. Why? I went to redeem my gift card for a 90 minute massage, as I was leaving I was asked to pay for the services because the GC was invalid... Mr. Hector the owner, emplied it was stolen (which really upset me the most). It turns out Mr. Hector the owner also forgot how his GC system works. Yeah so the relaxation obtained during the massage was immediately voided. I paid again! Why you may ask? It was to show Hector I was not the thief... however on hindsight, I could have walked out (yeah but that's not me). Instead, I went back home to speak to the person who gifted me the GC and asked them to look back throughtheir CC receipts from 3 yrs ago (thankful for CC records). We were able to prove that it was purchased and the credit was in my profile... the staff just failed to do a better job at researching the issue.. they had all my information in the form I filled out and a profile of the person who purchased the GC (who by the way was never rendered services there... another clue) Fastforward, I got my refund (2nd payment) back but Mr. Hector did 0 attempt to gain a customer back, did not offered a do over... who am I kidding, from the guy who accused us of stealing a GC [sigh]. A waste of money, if you asked me; I walked out stressed over the situation of having to pay for a gift that was given to me. The cherry on top? Well, I was asked whether I would be interested to enroll in their program for monthly massages.... while they were accusing me of getting a hold of a GC without any funds! This is to laugh for... ah, NO not interested! All I want to leave you with is... that if you are considering this place for a GC, do your research. My advice to you... save your receipt and proof of purchase in case you need to come back to them. My wife told it was painful when he was doing the massage. This person told her that it had to be that way," it was normal". Well since the massage my wife has many bruises on her body and cant barely move. Her neck, shoulders and arms can barely move, she is in a lot of pain. When we called to let them know what has happened, they told us that it was normal, that if it is too painful she should go to the doctor... That it is not their problem. However, she needed to give her hardworking paws a day off, so she scheduled an appointment for him to receive a professional 90-minute deep tissue massage at Elements Massage in Pinecrest. Haha! ... I had the worst massage experience of my life at Elements with Bex today. Where do I start.... I paid for a 60 minute session. Admitted that I got to the spa 9 minutes after my appointed time. She took off for about 10 minutes, ostensibly to give me time to undress. She ended the massage session 8 minutes before the hour. So in effect I paid $90 for a lack lustre 30 minute massage of just my back and calf, for what should have been a full body massage. All done face down. On her own she decided to spend 20 minutes on just my back such that she could not reach other parts Very Horrible experience. I'll never be going back to Elements.
