She was absolutely amazing! I did the deep tissue with the hot stones and my body felt rejuvenated after. Norma was very informative and explained to me the different steps of the massage (for example, she told me how stress had caused fluid to buildup underneath my arms, which I didn't even know!). She massaged areas that I didn't even know were tense and was very respectful when massaging my thigh area. As I was paying at the end of the appointment, Norma asked me how I felt and I told her I was good but there was just a little bit of pain in my upper back area but that it was ok and instead of being satisfied with my answer, Norma helped stretch me out until I was pain free. I paid for one hour and it ended up actually being an hour and 15 minutes because Norma went above and beyond for me. I truly recommend her and this spa. I spent a couple hours trying to find massage appointments for us in the downtown area. It was very challenging on a Sunday so I was grateful once Serenity Spa sad they had availability for the both of us. It was a little further away but I'm glad we were able to check out this part of Miami. Coral Gables is a super cute neighborhood. This establishment was pretty clean. The walls are very thin so you can hear other's conversations, but it didn't bother me as much. I wish I knew my therapist's name so I can book again when in town. I asked the lady their names when I was paying but she seemed a little confused on who worked on us, maybe because of the switching of therapists in between? The rating of the stars is very challenging for me because of all the above factors. I'd say atmosphere is 5 stars. My massage was 4 stars. My partner says 2.5 stars once the second person took over. The second therapist was pretty much just rubbing instead of massaging. She started massaging her face without asking. And did a weird stomach massage without asking. Out of all the massages I've gotten, and I get them pretty often, I've never had anyone work on my stomach. I found that to be a bit odd.
