We've visited the Russian & Turkish Baths many times over the years, and every visit has been a fantastic experience. If you're going, the waterfall hot tub is an absolute must--it's both relaxing and invigorating. The Swedish hose massage is another highlight and something I highly recommend trying. The facility offers a great variety of steam rooms and saunas, allowing you to experience different temperatures and styles of heat therapy. They also provide cold-water buckets that you can dump over yourself between sessions, which adds to the authentic bathhouse experience and leaves you feeling completely refreshed. Hard to find anything that comes close to what they offer for the price. While it's not fancy, it's fantastic. There are so many hot saunas to choose from, plus a very steamy steam room and hammam. The cold water available to douse yourself is much more hygienic than a shared cold plunge. What to know: the locker space is small, so don't bring a lot of stuff. But do bring anything you'll need to shower, as they don't provide much in terms of toiletries. If you're female and want to feel more comfortable sitting everywhere, wear water shorts. Bring a towel to dry off with after you shower, they provide a few towels for sweating. Be sure to check out the pool and beach area. Parking is easy and inexpensive if you use the public beach lot down the street. There's also a restaurant on-site. I haven't eaten there, but it's a nice option if you want to grab a bite. I did get a massage here, and it was okay. The highlight for me is definitely the saunas. You can easily spend a few hours sweating and lounging, and it's open late, which is a big plus. read more

There's also a cafe with a delicious borscht, smoothies, beer, etc - although a bit on the pricier aside with already a high price of entry for the bathhouse itself. I spent a few hours here from the steam rooms to the various saunas-I do wish they would provide a hat to borrow or some easy amenities to make it feel like an experience that doesn't try to nickel and dime you for everything, but it's Miami - so you get what you get. We gave Russian & Turkish Baths a solid four stars, and that rating came after a lot of back and forth because this place is honestly confusing in the best and worst ways. On one hand, for a $65 spa entrance, there are things that absolutely should not be broken, missing, or questionable. On the other hand, this place has some of the most intense and impressive amenities I have ever experienced in my life, and I say that as someone who is from LA and considers themselves a full blown Korean spa veteran. Like, I do not say that lightly. The offerings here are next level. First, the value conversation. Sixty five dollars is steep, and with that price tag you expect things to feel polished and borderline luxurious. This is not that. The space does not feel luxurious. It feels dark in places, a little maze like, and sometimes you are walking through rooms to get to other rooms wondering if you accidentally entered a staff area. Some things were not working, some things felt under explained, and the towels were honestly not great. They felt thin, almost secondhand, and the color was not even cute. Bring your own towel if you can. I also brought my own sandals and shorts and was way more comfortable that way. Now here is where the four stars come in. The amenities. My god. Touch every door. Carefully. I cannot stress that enough. Some of these rooms are so hot that people were audibly yelping, like loud oh shit reactions echoing through the space. They seriously need more visible and louder safety warnings because third degree burns do not sound like a fun souvenir. That said, the extremes are kind of the whole point. The cold plunge was the coldest thing I have ever experienced in my life. I cannot last long in any of these rooms because they are truly extreme, but that is what you are paying for. If you do not do this kind of thing regularly, it is absolutely worth trying at least once. One of the most underrated features is this insanely powerful water hose situation that is basically like putting out a house fire. I am not exaggerating. You can stand against the wall and let it blast your back, or have someone spray you. Yes, even a stranger. It is incredible and wildly underused. Right next to it is a rain style water feature that you should absolutely use without guilt. A lot of water gets used here, and honestly it makes sense why the price is high because the water usage alone must be insane. We specifically came during the men only hours on Thursday from 8 to 12, and that made a huge difference in comfort. I was way more relaxed knowing it was single sex, and once noon hit and it became coed, that comfort level definitely shifted. There is no big statement behind that, it is just personal preference. One thing that did bother me is that people are allowed to have their phones. I can easily see how when it gets busy, this turns into people taking pictures left and right, which is annoying when you are there to actually relax and not be in someone's background content. The staff deserves real praise. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming and honestly made the experience better. Even while you are in the baths, they are checking in, asking if everything is okay, and making sure people are safe. That kind of attentiveness matters and it did not go unnoticed. A few more honest notes. There is a smell. It is not overpowering, but it is there, and it feels chronic. That needs to be addressed. The jacuzzi could also be hotter. I kept wishing it was just a bit more intense, especially after coming out of the hotter rooms. Also, there were not enough soap stations. Soap was available in the main entrance restrooms, but not everywhere else where you really want it. Parking is another thing to plan for. Google Maps will take you to an entrance where valet parking is basically the only obvious option and it is $40. If you do not want to pay that, park near the fire station about five minutes away. It is around five dollars for four hours, which is reasonable, but you will need to walk. Once you arrive, you go into the building, turn right sharply, head down the stairs, and look for the Turkish bathhouse signage. It is not hard once you know, but I really wish I had known ahead of time. One very cool perk that I wish was advertised more clearly is that your admission is essentially good for the whole day. Most people stay three to four hours, but you can come in and out, which actually makes the price feel more reasonable if you turn it into a full relaxation day. Would I come back tomorrow? No. Would I come back next month? Probably not. Would I consider it once a year? Yes. Absolutely. When I left, I genuinely felt like a different person. My body felt reset, worked, and relaxed in a way that regular spas do not achieve. It is not perfect, it needs work, and it is overpriced for the lack of polish, but the experience itself is unforgettable. Four stars, with notes. read more

this place is a Miami Beach staple I have been coming for the past 25 years but hadn't been for at least 10 years thing go around. It still has the same feel and great amenities. It has so many different rooms from hot saunas and steam rooms and cold plunges and a Jacuzzi and a room that had amazing crystals to charge your soul. They also have a relaxation room and an area to have lunch and fruit juices. It is also very well known cause it was pretty busy with people coming in and out which is impressive. I have never been to another spa or bath quite like it. now it is a bit dated and definitely has an odd smell but one you get past that it's really great and relaxing. The entrance is $65 per person, but you could stay there all day if you'd like and come in and out and it's open from 9 AM to 10 PM so that's worth it. Also parking at the hotel is pretty pricey, but we parked in a parking lot down the street and it's only like $1.50 an hour and free after six. read more

I came here with my husband on our anniversary yesterday & I wanted to love this place sooo bad but it's so hard too given the circumstances... For one, they don't give you any instructions on what to do once you get past the doors, like what to do how to do it, which is unfortunate because we even opened the door on someone who was completely nude in one of the rooms because we are trying to figure out what's what and everyone is looking at us like we're distrubing them everytime we open a door. Second, we purchased two $85 dollar massages that were actually the worst massages we've ever had in our lives! My husband got a guy who was so rough he's in physical pain today & I got this older lady who literally only massages me for 35 minutes and just streched and tickled me the entire time! No type of professionalism, walked in on me with my breast out trying to get my bikini on stating she needed to clean the room right now after giving me 40 seconds to change. We expressed how dissapointed we were with the front desk and he laughed at us and told us to pay up. If you're used to this and you like it that's cool but if you wanna try something new and want a sanitary, good vibe or even just a decent massage this place is NOT it. Upon entering the spa, you'll see the incredible hot tub equipped with an overhead waterfall to massage your neck and shoulders. Exploring a little deeper, there are many saunas and a steam room, along with cold plunges for that rejuvenating rush! There's also an infrared room with amethyst geodes! Enjoy your entire day there, or swap between the beach and the spa! Definitely park down by the fire station and enjoy the nice walk along the beach! I called this massage and spa just to get some basic information before deciding whether to come in, and the experience alone was enough to turn me away. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and sassy for no reason at all. I wasn't asking anything complicated--just simple, basic questions--and the attitude made the call uncomfortable enough that I ended up hanging up. First impressions matter, and if you can't provide courteous, basic information over the phone, it's hard to feel confident booking a service. Several family members and I finally made it back to the Russian Turkish Baths on a rainy Sunday, after learning they had re-opened. We expected that after being closed for a couple of years, some upgrades would have been made--but the only real change was the price. Admission is now $65 for a single visit, and valet parking jumped to $38 (no longer subsidized by the baths). We had seen older Yelp reviews mentioning $25 for valet, so it was an unpleasant surprise to learn about the increase only when picking up the car. Check-in was the same as ever--staff requires you to leave a personal item of value as collateral since the safety key is also used to charge for services and food. I handed my credit card and wallet to be used by a couple of relatives so they could obtain the required key. They warned us that, going forward, each guest must have an item tied to their own identity to obtain the safe key that is used for charging. Thank goodness we came prepared with our own towels, shampoo, and conditioner, since they only provide bath gel and have the same thin brown towels as before. Each guest gets two towels, but by mid-afternoon we saw people being given just one or asked to wait until more were laundered. The women's section has plenty of lockers and a large bench, but only one shower and one stall. We enjoyed using most of the facilities (skipping the massages) and were glad we arrived early-- so that the facilities would be cleaner and less crowded. The experience remains unique and is still a fun group activity to share with family or friends. We noticed several Russian guests wearing the traditional wool hats ($30 if you want one yourself), which added to the authentic feel. Remember, it is a public bath house, not a spa, so adjust your expectations. Bring lots of fluids or coconut water. Since the food onsite seemed overpriced--we opted to eat nearby. Despite the quirks, you leave feeling refreshed and incredibly clean. I did leave wondering how much water is used per person since it is constantly flowing. read more

I thought this place would never reopen. But boy am I sure glad it FINALLY DID . It's classic bath house, it's gaudy, ITS HOT, ITS COLD! It's a hidden gem on the beach that everyone should try at least once. Such a wonderful community, and still same great experience. Price went up a little but still a great deal especially if you buy the multi visit package. Also you have access to the pool/beach! Can literally spend the day there, and leave feeling totally refreshed and cleansed. The only downside is that valet is expensive AND SLOW! Be prepared to wait 20-30 min. read more

The Russian and Turkish bathhouse has really stepped up its game after the recent mini makeover. Several of the rooms have been updated and are now much nicer, more comfortable, and finally delivering the correct temperatures. It makes the experience so much more enjoyable and relaxing. And if you're getting a massage, I highly recommend Sandra -- she's incredible! The only downside is the food. It's no longer being prepared by the woman who originally ran the kitchen, and unfortunately it just isn't the same anymore. They now carry Ukrainian beer instead of Russian too. Hopefully this is something that improves in the future, because everything else in the facility has gotten better. read more

The Russian & Turkish Baths are now open once again. I was a bit surprised after being closed for 2 years they did not do any upgrades. The locker room area / still looks like 1980. Don't expect new or fancy facility. If you're a germaphobe don't go! I'm not sure how clean this place is. They've got the Banya, Aromatherapy Steam Room, Turkish Sauna, Cold Therapy room, Infrared Sauna, Table showers, the Cold Plunge and a wide variety of massage options with several therapists available. They are open from 12 noon to 9:30. / 10:00 pm depending on the day. Park at the building valet takes a while to get your car $25' or the public parking by the firehouse two blocks south. When you walk into the lobby of the building, make a right hand turn down the stairs and the door is to the right. Definitely an experience read more

Sauna life forever! This is one of my absolute favorite places in the entire bay area. I consider our committees Banya to be my church. Lol the staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, and they have an amazing assortment of therapies. I love the vibe here, the food in the restaurant is really good, and the roof deck is epic on a sunny day. Bring your friends for the afternoon and pamper yourself like an oligarch! Just make sure you shut the Sauna doors behind you. Lol read more
