If you're going, the waterfall hot tub is an absolute must--it's both relaxing and invigorating. The Swedish hose massage is another highlight and something I highly recommend trying. The facility offers a great variety of steam rooms and saunas, allowing you to experience different temperatures and styles of heat therapy. They also provide cold-water buckets that you can dump over yourself between sessions, which adds to the authentic bathhouse experience and leaves you feeling completely refreshed. If you're looking for a genuine, traditional bathhouse experience in Miami, this is the place to go. Clean, unique, and consistently enjoyable, it's one of our favorite places to relax and recharge.

There are so many hot saunas to choose from, plus a very steamy steam room and hammam. The cold water available to douse yourself is much more hygienic than a shared cold plunge. What to know: the locker space is small, so don't bring a lot of stuff. But do bring anything you'll need to shower, as they don't provide much in terms of toiletries. If you're female and want to feel more comfortable sitting everywhere, wear water shorts. Bring a towel to dry off with after you shower, they provide a few towels for sweating. Be sure to check out the pool and beach area. Parking is easy and inexpensive if you use the public beach lot down the street. There's also a restaurant on-site. I haven't eaten there, but it's a nice option if you want to grab a bite. I did get a massage here, and it was okay. The highlight for me is definitely the saunas. You can easily spend a few hours sweating and lounging, and it's open late, which is a big plus.

Tierra Santa I was…read moreon the hunt for the best spa experience in the city. I was looking for a day of pampering. As such, I wanted additional benefits and not just a massage. This spa ended up topping my comparison list. Scheduling an appointment was slightly problematic. I spent entirely too much time on their site attempting to make a reservation for two. The site was not working. I ended up calling the spa to schedule over the phone. However, there was no answer so I had to leave a message requesting a return call. A staff did call me back late the next day. I was able to schedule over the phone. I was advised to complete the forms prior to arrival date- which I did do The spa is located inside of the Faena Hotel. The hotel is on the corner and is easy to find. The spa will validate valet parking for $35. We parked about a block away for much less. However, parking price value would be based on how long you plan on being at the spa. It may be more cost effective to pay the $35. When we arrived a hotel staff assisted us by escorting us to the elevator to the spa level. There was a lady at the front desk when we arrived. It did take her a few moments to acknowledge us, and when she did she asked us to give her a few minutes. Another staff approached and asked if we had been assisted. The staff sitting at the front desk did ask her to help us. We advised we had appointments. She checked us in and walked us over to the waiting area. The waiting area is very bright and doubles as a store. We were served tea and allowed to relax and take pictures. This area also had access to the outside patio also available for lounging durring your spa day. Following the waiting area the staff walked us to the women's fitting room. She gave us a quick tutorial on how to utilize the lockers. We changed into our swimsuits to get ready to enjoy the wet area. The wet area is on the opposite side of the spa. You have to walk through the waiting area and the front desk. When you walk in you are greeted by a table full of fresh soap. You are encouraged to grab a piece to try. The following are available in the wet area: a waterfall shower, steam room, a haman, a sauna, and a cold room. NOTE: this area is co-Ed. Based on my observation it's best to schedule an early service so that you can enjoy the benefits with a limited crowd. You also access the area for your spa services directly from the wet area. There is a lounge area where you can enjoy tea, infused water and snacks such as dried fruit, fresh strawberries, and chocolate covered almonds to name a few. I opted to take a quick shower prior to my 60 minute massage. My skin was feeling dry from the over load on water, and heat. We arrived to the lounge about 5-10 minutes prior to our scheduled spa time. Shane came into the lounge and advised he would be my massage therapist. When we walked into my private room he advised I could have a seat on a purple chair. He went over the paper work I competed on line. He repeated to me what I indicated as it relates to areas to focus on, areas to avoid and pressure I desired. After confirming everything he asked me what oil I would be interested in for aroma therapy. I opted for lavender after smelling all of them. Shane gave me some privacy to undress to my comfort level and advised I should start out laying face down. When Shane came back into the room he got to work immediately. This massage was PERFECT! Shane ensured the pressure was what I desired, and he focused on all the places I need to be worked on. He did some moves I have never felt before and I was so impressed. I was so disappointed when the 60 minutes were up. This experience exceeded my expectations!

If you were traveling for work and staying at this hotel, and needed a day to just forget that everyone existed, this would be great for that. My friends and I flew down from Richmond during a crazy winter storm and decided to get a day pass here among other things. The day pass included spa access during their open hours, as well as pool access. Unfortunately, because of the unseasonably cool weather, the hotel had not opened the pool which pretty much made the spa the only option for anyone else who had purchased the resort pass too, and I'm just not sure the facilities were up to that task. The spa itself had a relaxation area, which was three lounge chairs in the room with a hot tub and a cold tub. In the room next to that, there was a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a shower. I'm not a huge fan of the dry sauna, dry heat isn't really my thing, but I did rather like the wet sauna room. It was nice and large, and the hot steamy air felt great on my poor frozen winter storm lungs. The cold plunge pool is also not my thing, but the hot tub was awesome, but it had a couple of pretty huge problems. The first was that it was up a flight of stairs. Everyone in our party has limited mobility in some fashion and One of our party uses a walker and isn't super mobile at all, so it was very difficult to actually make it to the hot tub. Might have been nice to know it wasn't actually accessible before we booked the spa. Luckily, even though she isn't super mobile, she is able to haul herself very slowly up stairs, provided it has a nice sturdy railing... Which it did have a railing... unfortunately the railing was completely loose at the bottom and not particularly sturdy since it was only partially connected. It had stone steps, and due to the nature of the room, they were a bit wet so they had nonskid stickers on them, but it had unfortunately peeled up and was mostly loose. Ultimately, our friend ended up using us as the steady banister to get up the stairs, but that probably wasn't any safer since it wasn't like we had anything to hold onto because again... slippery stairs and loose banister. We made it up safely, and then try to get in the hot tub. The tub itself is square, has a ladder railing, but we couldn't actually see any ladder steps, so we kind of had to guess where was safe to get in the pool. Being the most mobile of the group, I ended up sitting on the edge of the tub and feeling around with my feet until I figured out that the tub has three walls with stone benches around it that we could step on and get in. We only actually figured out after getting out that the pool had sunken footholds in the wall, not an actual ladder. Never would have found those getting in, but learn from our ignorance. The hot tub is awesome, the jets were great and absolutely the thing we needed after the plane flight and freezing winter storms, but everyone else felt that way too, so we were unable to get back in it again like we would have liked. We ended up heading out earlier than we intended and just sitting outside for the rest of our stay. Overall, the place is small, which makes it hit or miss as to whether or not you can use the facilities, which makes it hit or miss as to whether it is a good value for the day pass. You may luck out, or you may strike out.

We were offered champagne, then asked to complete a brief intake form to note our needs and any areas of concern. From there, we were escorted to the women's locker room, changed into plush robes and slippers, and spent a few relaxing minutes in the sauna. Soon after, our massage therapists arrived, Nelly for me and Jenny for my colleague, and guided us to a beautiful, dimly lit treatment room. We settled onto warmed massage tables and were wrapped in the softest, most luxurious sheets. And then... the real magic began. Nelly was absolutely phenomenal. I believe some of the treatments could be a little more affordable or offer different combo packages. They do offer discounts on packages of three or more on certain treatments. The location is off Biscayne Boulevard in Edgewater and the facility could not feel more clean. The tall windows allow so much light to enter into the establishment which I loved as well. Later on (after I paid for parking), they called me back and advised that you may parkin in the storage parking where it is not covered, but the space was limited from what I was told. There is street parking that you must pay for. Weeks prior to this, I called several times and noone picked up. Team is clearly understaffed. THE SERVICE: I went with the "new client deal" promoted on their website-it provides a variety of services. For the deal of 110, I went with the colonic, yoni steam and foot detox. My first appointment was the colonic and it started 40 mins late, so keep it in mind. The colonic treatment with Liliana was fantastic. Liliana is very knowledgable, and professional and creates a safe space for comfort. Then I had the foot detox, gross to look at but cool nonetheless and added to self-knowledge, but nothing else. Then I had the yoni steam, slightly relaxing but maybe not worth repeating - at least for me. Among the many services they provide, there is a free body scan on a machine I believe that tells you about your body and the areas to work on. If I didn't ask about this, I would've not known. I wanted to try it, but saw very little interest in the person helping me in doing it, and actually completely ignored me when I requested it. So I left.
